<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Boehner" target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Boehner</a>

Business background there, because I was wondering too. Been a president of a plastics firm.

Pelosi, Reid and Obama probably think he's evil b/c he's part of the revolving door between industry and government that has gone on far too long.

It is a good thing. Being a Left leaning Moderate myself, I have a great deal of respect for Dr. Paul. I believe he'll be on the ticket again and probably gain a lot more traction than last run. The Tea Partiers need to steal their party back from the Tea Baggers. Good luck with that. lol

Just wondering what businesses Boehner has run? That's not a slam, I just want to be able to use his quote without fear that someone will point out that he hasn't done what he's criticizing others of doing (or, in this case, not doing).

Lawyers posess a unique role in our economy. They specialized not in the creation of wealth, but the redistribution of it through the court system. It's what they are trained to do. Their training becomes evident when they write bills. It soon becomes clear that they have no idea how a free market economy operates. One need look no further than today's failed indicators as proof.

We can stop the decline of our country by refusing to elect lawyers into office and start electing folk with common sense instead.

Well I can't speak for other people like me, but you are right that people like me were silent during the Bush years and I thought Ron Paul was a whack job during the election. But after McCain went down in flames I really started to ask myself why it happened and I looked for different answers. I started to actually listen to Ron Paul and think about what he was saying instead of just thinking he was weird for not saying the same old Republican lines. My ideology changed almost over night and once you realize how wrong the system is there is no going back. I am now a Ron Paul supporter and a member of his Campaign for Liberty and Young Americans for Liberty. In fact, I felt so bad about my positions before that I hand wrote Dr. Paul a letter to apologize and tell him he was right and thank him for waking me up. I had the pleasure of hearing him speak when he came to Columbia, SC. I also joined the Mises Institute and went to the October conference in Greenville, SC to meet Tom Woods and hear him speak. I have and cherish many Mises Inst. books including Human Action. My favorite Mises Inst. book is What Has Government Done to Our Money, and The Case for a 100% Gold Dollar by Murray Rothbard.

I do not support Palin, or Romney, or Gingrich, or Huckabee, or Pence, or McConnel or Cantor, or any of the other establishment Repbulican leadership. I will never vote for an establishment candidate again with the exception of maybe DeMint because of his policies on the Fed, but I don't think DeMint will run in 2012 anyways. If Paul is not on the next ticket I will write him in. And no, you can't count on MY silence again.

Also, I hated that the Tea Parties were hijacked by the Neocons and Fox News etc, but Campaign for Liberty/Young Americans for Liberty still seems to be getting it's message somewhat through them. I think this is a good thing.
