Ayn Rand Was Right: Wealthy Are on Strike Against Obama
by Wayne Allyn RootThe U.S. economy is crumbling. Businesses are collapsing in record numbers. Jobs have disappeared. Tax revenues are down dramatically. Coincidence?
Everything happening today under Obama resembles the storyline of Ayn Rand’s famous book, Atlas Shrugged, one of the most popular books of all time, selling over 7 million copies. Now, under President Obama, Atlas Shrugged has come to life. Rand prophesized a country dominated by socialists, Marxists and statists, where looters, free loaders and poverty promoters live off the productive class. To rationalize the fleecing of innovative business owners and job creators, the looter class demonized the wealthy, just as Obama and his socialist cabal are doing in real life today.
The central plot of Atlas Shrugged is that in response to being demonized, over-taxed, over-regulated, and punished for success, America’s business owners were disappearing — dropping off the grid, and refusing to work 16-hour days to support those unwilling to put in the same blood, sweat and tears. They were going on strike. Because of that the original proposed title of “Atlas Shrugged” was “The Strike.”
They were going on strike to teach that civilization cannot survive when people are slaves to government. That without a productive class of innovative business owners willing to risk their own money and work 16-hour days, weekends and holidays, there are no jobs and no taxes to pay for government. If you punish the wealthy, the risk-takers, the innovators, you kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. In Obama’s America, fiction is becoming fact.
The lesson of Atlas Shrugged is that without the $100,000+ earners paying into Social Security, there are no pensions for the poor and lower middle class. Without the wealthy owners of million-dollar mansions paying $25,000 and $50,000 annual property tax bills, there is no funding for public schools. Without the wealthy paying into Medicare, there is no “free” healthcare for the elderly. Without capitalists motivated by profit, there are no discoveries to eradicate polio or create miraculous cancer and AIDS drugs. Without capitalists motivated by profit, there are no jobs, period! That is what happens when the producers of society go on strike to protect themselves from the looters.
Ayn Rand was warning the looters that there are consequences to their overzealous actions. She was warning that if the productive classes felt used, demonized, ripped off, and taken for granted, they would go on strike — stop working, retire early, go underground, or move to places where achievement is celebrated and they feel appreciated.
The latest U.S. Census proves Ayn Rand right. Under Obama the wealthy are striking, voting with their feet. They are moving to low-tax red states in droves, escaping from high-tax blue states where they are being demonized and punished by the millions.
The Census proves that Obama’s tax and spend philosophy is a dismal failure, an economic disaster killing jobs. It is no coincidence that 1.9 million FEWER Americans are working than before Obama’s stimulus. It is no coincidence that jobs are not returning to the private sector. It is no coincidence that tax revenues have dropped dramatically and cannot support Obama’s bloated Big Brother government. The innovators, risk-takers, and wealthy he demonized and punished are on strike.
The high tech revolution has killed the progressive-liberal tax-and-spend dream. Because of the Internet, email, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Satellite TV, I-phones, I-pads, and cell phones, business owners are no longer prisoners of Big Brother. Take a look at states where the latest Census shows Americans moved during the past decade: Nevada, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alaska, Virginia — all low- or no-tax red states, states that lead the USA in economic freedom.
Now look at states they escaped from: New York, New Jersey, California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan. Taxpayers, business owners, jobs creators, retirees with assets are fleeing the high tax, big spending, Big Brother states — the states being run like Obama is running the nation.
Progressives be afraid, be very afraid. If Obama is re-elected, these valuable producers will pick up and leave America altogether. There is a big world out there begging them to come. Places like Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Monte Carlo, Belize, Costa Rica, Panama, Bahamas, and Cayman Islands are low-tax havens that appreciate business owners and their sacrifices. They welcome wealthy ex-patriots. They celebrate individual achievement. They reward instead of punish business owners and financial risk-takers. They are wonderful places to live and are aggressively pursuing Americans.
I am just one small businessman, a third-party Libertarian political leader. Yet I personally have heard from thousands of fans, friends and supporters who have left America, are thinking of leaving America, are visiting other countries right now to decide where to go, or making preparations to leave in case Obama is re-elected. Just as Ayn Rand predicted, business owners are going on strike. Permanently.
The high tech revolution has freed them to run their businesses from anywhere in the world. The same high tech tools and toys that toppled a powerful and invincible 30-year dictator in Egypt and now threaten to topple powerful leaders throughout the Arab world, also offer mobility and freedom to U.S. taxpayers. Obama better learn the lesson of Mubarek before millions more business people decide they do not need to put up with looters, free loaders, and politicians who despise them.
Atlas is shrugging. Ayn Rand is saying “I told you so.”

Obama ran as the 1st "Black" candidate.
The media sold him the same way they sell they sell soap.
I just finished reading "Atlas Shrugged" for the third or fourth time and I was once again amazed. It is indeed a timeless book, seeming to have been written exactly about what is happening right now. I just have to find that valley……….
but Karl Marx also said this:
'As long as ONE capitalist still exists he will ultimately own everything'.
This is war, people- and it is a war on those who have by those who would control using those who don't.
We cannot lose the war by alienating those who would come aboard and propagate the middle class- Robin Hood created the yeoman who begat the Magna Carta and became the Constitution. If we continue to divide we will return to serfdom.

VIVA LA TEA PARTY!
Although some businesses and owners are moving, the big corporations are still donating huge sums of money to Odumbo. GE, Monsanto, Big Pharma, all of WallStreet. Giving him money by the bucketload. As long as he is still getting this, he could care less about what happens to the small businesses and entrepreneurs. It will just speed up his plan to bankrupt the economy. Which is his ultimate goal.
What about the people? The bail-out program, aka. TARP was the biggest transfer of wealth that I've seen in my life time. It was socialism in reverse; the public's money was taken and given to banks all in the name of too-big-to-fail.
Prosser and Klopp's recent election has shown us that money is worthless since we are more concerned about losing what few freedoms we have left.
There is no amount of money that can right 0bumbles many wrongs, let them donate to him, the ROI is a %100 complete loss.
You can not let the Minority, (be it based on race, religion, wealth, ideals, intelligence or any reason) run the Majority on any level…
To test my theory; Think of the person at work whom is most picked on for what ever reason (doesn't matter why)
Promote that person to CEO. Next allow said person to pick his board of directors.
What happens next… think about it and be honest with yourself…
You know I am right…
It's actually been on my mind for awhile now. I don't know what's been stopping me. Sometimes not having a lot of ties in one place is an advantage. I can pick up and leave the country whenever I feel like it really. There's no time like the present! It might just be time to say "ciao America".
Obama has turned Ayn Rand into a 20th century prophet and Atlas Shrugged is just her Nostradamus type quatrain. Except hers is actually turning into detailed fact right before our very eyes.
[The Wealthy] "are moving to low-tax red states in droves …"
Problem: many of these wealthy were voting DEMOCRAT. Will they change their evil ways ???
But I thought Der Shlickmeister Klinton was the first black president, 'member?
+Hanzo+
While it will take time, the shift is under way in not only businesses uprooting for greener, or should I say redder, pastures, but so are the electoral college votes. Take a look at what the latest census indicates. Some of the big Blues are losing out to the right-to-work Reds.
There's a lot of truth to this. Obama has brought a shroud of uncertainty over the business community and he, along with his numerous Czars and Czarinas have effectively put a strangle hold on growth in this country. It is only his nature to view this as a problem created by someone else. For if this were not the case Mr. Obama could man up and apologize to the American people for the errors of his ways. Problem is, as a socialist he feels that he has done everything possible correctly and as such should be deserving of reelection.
How many Republican candidates can we actually expect to turn this trend and make America a greater (and more free) nation??
I think Obama is the anti-Christ.
i wonder if those cigarettes will also have to use the new labels?
Let me start off with, I understand the hardship this is on our business owners and they have all the reason to leave this country…but if everyone leaves, the elite that want to ruin this country win, and if "the People" that stay and fight for this country are us "just plain ole joes", just for the rich to come back to a cleaned up free country…plain ole joes built this country from the ground up, we can do it again…but those well-to-do's that left while the going got tough should not be allowed to return without paying the price…they should still get taxed at the rate they left the country…
I wish!
I am probably Ayn Rand's #1 fan, but I disagree with this. If the wealthy (or any significant portion thereof) were truly on strike, we'd see 50% unemployment or more. As Ms. Rand herself would tell you, the wealthy and the driven and the ambitious are far too interested in achieving great things to realize that they are being destroyed. Their own ambition and single-mindedness are the seeds of their own destruction. She devoted her life to opening their eyes, proving to them that the while the government may start out deriving its authority from the consent of the governed, it derives its power from the consent of the productive. If you were correct, I would be overjoyed because it would mean she had succeeded spectacularly.
The whole point of wealthy people going on strike is to stop "feeding the beast" – to starve the central government of the resources it needs to stand on our throats. Wealthy people moving their businesses to low-tax states is a good thing, but it does nothing for the cause – the same amount of federal tax is collected. The beast's diet is unchanged.
Today's economic state is only a function of big business owners acknowledging the current levels of spending, and looking ahead to see that tax hikes, possibly massive tax hikes, are coming. As a result, they're cutting back on those segments of their businesses that are not proven, they've halted expansion – they're hunkering down, trying to weather the storm.
To be sure, Ms Rand's vision of the collectivist society beginning to destroy itself is happening. But the response – the bright lights of our society standing up and refusing to earn the money that will destroy them – is not happening en masse.
It's wayyyyyy past time for American TAX PAYERS to go on strike and say ENOUGH is ENOUGH! Lets see the Pretender-In-Chief find a way to pay for his Socialist programs when WE THE TAX PAYERS say NOOOO MORE! The DEMO-c-RATS think that "fair" is when they take from the rich to give to the less fortunate…I've only got one question for Mr. Odrama, "How many jobs do the homeless create with their "wealth"????
The only two who I truly believe can turn it around are Sarah and Michelle. Possibly Rick Perry if he decides to run (but somehow I don't think the general electorate is going to go for another Governor from Texas–besides, he looks uncanilly like Josh Brolin portraying GWB in Oliver Stone's "W"). Beside that, I don't think the rest of them are much more than Obama-lites.
No such thing as socialism in reverse, socialism is socialism regardless of which way the money goes. And in most real life cases it does transfer both high and low, just like it transferred to the higher ups in the soviet union.
The media actually does more due diligence on a soap commercial than they did for El Presidente.
Obumble bumper sticker removal is flourishing.. Last I checked there is a 3 day wait. GoPro and Contour mini camera's sales have increased thanks to AP and people like James O'Keefe.
Canada just elected a Conservative Prime Minister a step in the RIGHT direction.
Ron Paul is Obama-lite?
The great news is, it’s all out in the open now, the rest is up to us. We need to continue the firings that we started in 2010.
No, but Ron Paul has no chance of winning the GOP nod. On the other hand, I had the pleasure of meeting Gary Johnson a couple of months ago, and chatting with him at some length. He makes many of the same point that Cong. Paul does, but in a manner that is much more cogent. I'm very annoyed that The Powers That Be have decided that a successful two-term Governor is a "not-serious" candidate, especially when a CEO with no prior political experience of any kind is deemed to be "serious".
…you're loosin, me bro…
Soros might be. He looks demonic.
Exactly, they leave the state that has an onerous economic structure because of THEIR voting habits, THEIR donations etc., then piss in the well of their new found home and repeat the cycle all over again. Take all the limousine liberals and chain them together in California and let them live the liberal utopia.
1. The federal government created the problem in the first place, so why shouldn't the taxpayers pay for it? Janet Reno went around suing lenders for allegedly taking race into account when making lending decisions, when in fact they were simply making these decisions based on economic reality. As a result, lenders were forced to lend money to people they knew would not pay it back.
2. If TARP had never happened, what would have happened? Massive numbers of foreclosures of course, even more massive than the current number.
I'm against all forms of government redistribution (including TARP), but your characterization of TARP as some gift to the banks is way off the mark. The government took responsibility for a problem that IT created.
Yes indeed we should. I totally agree, this is the very reason I posted his article.
Rand's support of Israel showed that all her BS about individualism was a charade to sell books.
Best bang for buck according to the lazy left.
I am out of town on a business trip. Last night, I stopped by the grocery store on my way back to the hotel to pick a few tihngs up. In front of me in line was a 21-22 year old girl with a baby. She pulled out this folder. In it were a stack of checks and paperwork for WIC. She was completely organized, prepared and well planned.
Able bodied. Young. Yes, she had a baby. But, she was clearly not working. And clearly more invested in beginning her 'career' in welfare than anything else.
And this is why the welfare state is a terrible idea. I would bet everything I have that this young mother will have more kids and never get off welfare. I would bet all I had.
The Free Market strikes against Democrats…not just the Islamic CheeseBot in the Whitehouse…Czars…communists on Supreme Court….islamists in Homeland Security….all of the Invasion Force from Hell…strike, Strike, STRIKE and drive the pricks into the ocean.
Ayn Rand – teenage pulp fiction with an aggressively atheist message being extolled by fundamentalist Christians who selectively ignore their supposed gospel (Jesus was a communist). COGNITIVE DISSONANCE!
I think that Gary Johnson would have less of a chance at the GOP nomination than Cong. Paul considering he's not a church goer and he is Pro-Choice. And shouldn't people support the person that they think will do the greatest job at making us a greater nation, especially in a primary settting , instead of basing it on whether other people may or may not support him?
Who is John Galt?
I can understand how you feel, but the number of people who not only talk the talk but walk the walk are growing every day. Just because you may not have seen it-doesn't mean it isn't happening.
don't you mean : "Live on welfare!! Working sucks, esp. when most of your pay is taken away, anyway…"
I ordered a copy online. All I got was a box with a note inside that said "Grow up."
The common sense test –
If you had a significant chunk of change (money not Obama hype) and you knew that government was drooling over the chance to snatch away ever penny of it that it could, from every direction that it could, the instant you opened up your wallet, would you even take your wallet out of your pocket, much less open it?
Of course you wouldn't, if you had a lick of common sense. Armed with the knowledge that the tenure of those who are drooling is limited, you would sit on it until such time as the drooling sycophants no longer sat in positions enabling them to skim away your return. After all, it is your risk in play and in this society, you are to own the positive and the negative outcomes when you take risks.
Some call this greed, while I rightly call it a response to the greed, the self defense response to the greed displayed by the drooling fools that today call government officials.
The power of the American Economy is rightly vested in the hands of her free people and I encourage everyone to pinch their pennies until such time as government returns to its place as subordinate to Freemen exercising their Creator Endowed Liberties.

Too bad we can't put something in place for the Red States to make their votes "null and void" until they attend Hillsdale College or a re-education camp run by …hmm, our Marines? Hmmm, let us not give them CA – too beautiful of a state, Syrin. How about Maine or Mass …more their color and cold like their hearts.
Isn't just businessmen – everyone I know is either laying off housekeepers and gardeners or talking about it. A small thing, perhaps, except for those housekeepers and gardeners. People aren't putting in pools, aren't' building out door kitchens, doing landscaping. Everyone is sitting on cash, paying down any debt that they have and hoping for a decent choice in 2012.
Your bias is showing.
I'm sure you think you have none.
Yeah, I’m biased against poorly written fiction, hence my user name.
And what happens when GM and other companies are bailed out — reverse distribution. Also when unions are bailed out.
I think a lot of us here don't agree with too big to fail. The argument is flawed that just cause some republicans agreed to something does not mean we all agree to it.
Unlike proggies a lot of us here accept there are bad republicans. We don't mindlessly defend candidates like democrats defend their people.
If you don't like TARP then demand the democrats stop bailing out GM and giving GE special deals like forcing all of us to buy their light bulbs.
But that was the government NOT the tax payer. I should NOT have to pay for a bad mistake some public official made.
Yep, right now Canada is doing much better fiscally and economically than we are, thanks to conservative governance. Unfortunately they are still much further down the road of political correctness than we are (speech codes, etc).
With Obama's reputation and what he's done to America, he may be the last…
And your anti-Semitism shows that evil is still alive and well in the world.
We are all now dumber from having read your post.
Correlation =/= causation.
Like it or not, we elected them.
Good article.
“What prudent merchant will hazard his fortunes in any new branch of commerce when he knows not that his plans may be rendered unlawful before they can be executed?” James Madison
Well she seems to be fairly popular among the Right Wingers these days. I know the hardcore Objectivists (the Rand cult) are true (non)believers, but people like Paul Ryan certainly pay lip service to both God and Rand.
Similar to what I want. I want all taxpayers to band together and just stop paying taxes. The feds are thieving bastards and sh*t on the taxpayer every day. Not once has the government done anything to support the people that support this country. I hope all of the major players withhold their money until government realizes that they can't help people who can't and don't want to help themselves. Maybe the leeches will leave this country and we can become prosperous again.
I am sick and tired of Republicans not educating the public on basic economic truths. The Democrats' class warfare continues unabated as they use scare tactics, demagoguery and class envy to push their insidious agenda. We're told ad nauseam to 'raise taxes on the rich', a childish, utopian fantasy that has been ruinous for every single nation that adapts it as it's primary philosophy. In fact, 'Tax the Rich' is the number one solution, if not the only one, proposed by the left as a virtual panacea for literally every single one of society's ills. But it is the wealthiest Democrats who benefit; income is 'redistributed' among the establishment elitists and their cronies in the corporate world, and the crumbs are tossed to the do-nothing looter class. GOP Candidates now have a rare opportunity to show the public how the profit motive works to our benefit, and how leftist buzz words like 'greed' and 'unfairness' apply more to the government than any private business entity. The GOP needs to get to work showing America how Energy industries really operate and how oppressive regulation and taxation destroys job creation. Show us all of the wasteful programs we finance! Show us every ridiculous subsidy – the more outrageous the better! Show us how the unproductive are taking our hard earned money! C'mon Repubs! Show us! Buy some infomercial time to counter Obama's preposterous propaganda! For God's sake stop letting Democrats revise history, invent ridiculous economic theories and control our lives with endless bureaucracies! At least think of your children and grandchildren! GET. TO. WORK.
Simply put:
I'm Italian, put me in POWER and all the hierarchy in my organization will be Italian and we are going to eventually get even with everyone who wronged us, our family, or anyone of Italian decent.
Problem with my example… Italians are not minorities, we actually work for a living. Plus the two major types of people in the world are… say it with me, Italians and those who want to be Italian.
Nerds and ugly kids were always the most picked on people in school. So you always elected Jocks or Member's of the Beautiful Kids Club to be class President. While the Jocks and Beautiful Kids were playing Pro Sports, entering Beauty Pageants, living the High Life guess what, those kids you beat down went to college, their children went to college and all became democrats and ultra left wing liberal and now they are sticking it to AMERICA! The full circle of Socialism and Society is complete.
What fantasy is this clown living? The wealthy just got an extention of the Bush tax cut and nevermind the fact that taxes are lower now than they have been in 60 years and state by state right wing governors are destroying teachers and their salaries, going after the unions, and attempting to force women into back alley abortions with misogynist anti-choice legislation. So, come again about Marxist cabals? Business was leaving the country as far back as Reagan you dolt. It's called globalization.
The economy is sunk because the Treasury, and under W mind you, absorbed Wall Streets toxic assets and the Fed has been printing money in an attempt to paper over the debt but that isnt working and instead is devauling our currency and credit and making investors weary. Unions and medicaid have nothing to do with it.
I'm having a bit of trouble following what you're saying, as convoluted as it is. But if I understand you correctly, you're saying that because many on the right appreciate Rand's contribution to the field of economics (perhaps call it "philosophy of economics"), and many on the right are also religious, somehow there's a problem.
1. They're not always the same people.
2. Have you ever, even once, read a book by any author, with which you agreed completely?
Rand is not popular among Christians, but she is popular among libertarians like myself. Given our views on social issues, I don't really think you could correctly refer to us as "right wingers".
(Oh – and Jesus a Communist? I'm no expert on him but I really don't think he was preaching that the gubbmint should help the poor. He preached that individuals should do it. That's a concept with which I completely disagree, but your understanding of Rand, and Jesus, is sorely lacking.)
Don't tell me you have a job unless your title is first class nutbag. Seriously I can't think of any company that hires people as mentally unstable and radical as you come across. Do you live alone in a Montana cabin trolling the internet full time?
I think the left has become so fixated on not admitting that they could be wrong or have made a mistake, that they will never admit that the right might have a point.
Are you kidding? yes, the Bush tax cut created jobs, the Iraq war stopped terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism, and private health insurance isnt putting people in bankruptcy….should i go on with right wing dogma that has proven incorrect? How about deregulation of the financial services industry? or was thwt economic meltdown helpful in your estimation?
Work harder!! Millions on Welfare Depend on you
I guess you dont like those roads you get to work on and the military that protects your country and the FBI that takes organized criminals off the street and the healthcare that grandma and grandpa get and et etc etc. Enough of this crap about how you dont want to pay taxes. if that's truly the way you feel and that your tax revenue has no purpose whatsoever except to enslave you, even though this is the lowest tax rate in 60 years, then move to an unchartered island and stay there.
And BTW the stale, tea party talking point, that a particular group of people are looting the economy is bs. Its right wing propaganda by those who dont want to part with anything and a way to justify it. Who are these people that you believe arent helping themselves? Can't wait to hear this…
I'm moving to Texas this year, however, my other half is from New Zealand and that'll be our second option if progressives get there way.
OK, but this isn’t like parsing the differences between Friedman and Hayek’s views on laissez-faire. Christianity and Objectivism are diametrically opposed philosophies. As Rand herself used to say “check your premises”.Sorry to paint you (and other libertarians) with the right-wing brush. This is a right-wing site. Until I start seeing defenses of gay marriage, drug legalization, etc. and less celebration of cultural conservatism, I will speak to that generalization.I actually know quite a bit about Rand, having studied her, and the cult that developed around her, for a research project in college. She contributed nothing to economics. She cribbed quite a bit from Mises, Hayek, et. Al. , but didn’t really offer any original thoughts. Also, if you think true communism is about government helping the poor, then you’re no expert on communism, either. Jesus literally lived in a communal fashion with his disciples who he urged to give up all wealth – a concept he condemned and viewed with scorn.
I know that 3.5% tax increase, bringing taxes on the wealthy back to Clinton era levels, that balanced the budget, created a surplus, and 22 million jobs is an insidious agenda. You are a crackpot and the person who needs to be educated to economic truths is you. Do you not understand that lowering taxes on the rich puts the country further in debt and that tax cuts dont pay for themselves? Obviously not because you get all your info here or at Fox news.
get back to us when you get out of college ashley.
We have the lowest taxes in 60 years. get a grip.
______" however, my other half is from New Zealand"_____
You are not so bright huh ?
You are gonna be in trouble !!!!!!
Let me fix it for ya !
I'm moving to Texas this year, however, my better half is from New Zealand and that'll be our second option if progressives get there way.
YOu mean someone saw your name and had seen your prior posts and decided to send you a personal message instead of the product?
Oh don't mind me, HadjiBot…I just fish for Islamic AzzzzBlisters…and Lo and Behold: I caught another one:))
Unlike you, perhaps we are capable of separating messenger and message.
. . . only by using tortured definitions of "Lowest'.
You're rather rude aren't you. That's not a question dear, it's fact.
I prefer the way I wrote it and I did have a typo, but you failed to fix it.
You are an idiot !
Today, the Washington Times incorrectly accused the White House of ignoring warnings of trouble ahead for government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) and neglecting to "adopt any reform until this summer," when it was too late. "Neither the White House nor Congress heeded the warnings, Fannie and Freddie retained strong bipartisan support during the 1990s and early part of this decade." (Editorial, "Hear, See And Speak No Evil About Fannie And Freddie," The Washington Times, 10/9/08) http://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/r...
And Imam Obama lies every time he blames Bush.
DOn't want to pay MORE taxes is not the same as don't want to pay taxes. Roads are ok. The MIlitary is actually a constitutional duty. The FBI is actually a legitimate government agency.
Healthcare is none of the governments damn business.
You see, there is an entire continuum between "Less taxes and less government' and 'No taxes and no government'.
Pelosi Caught In Major Lie- Says Bush Didn't Warn Congress About Financial Crisis… Records Show He Warned Congress 17 Times in 2008 Alone
Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a news conference last week and told reporters this:
During her weekly press conference on April 15, a reporter asked Pelosi a seemingly innocuous question about taxes. Pelosi prefaced her response with a fairly standard litany: explaining the dire state of the U.S. economy inherited by President Obama and setting the blame at the foot of the Bush administration. But she also added this: “When [then-Senator Obama] accepted the nomination in Colorado, the [Bush] Administration had kept from the public the idea that, in a matter of weeks, the financial community would be in crisis, and we would need to pass the TARP legislation.” http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2010/05/pelosi-ca...
We still have a Tea Party? They seemed to have disappeared November 4th…
Illinois lottery numbers, pick 3, for Election day 2008: 666
Coincidence? Or is chance trying to tell us something?
What's a republican party?
When Marxists took it over, what is it?
He said no taxes. Not wanting to pay more taxes is entirely another matter although there was a good reason to bring the tax rate back up to Clinton era levels on the top earners: it balanced the budget. Tax breaks like the Bush era cuts are creating a bigger deficit because that money then has to be borrowed in order to make up for the shortfall in tax revenue which is used to run the government and all it's services. Are there things we can cut from the budget? Yes. But what Republicans want to cut are major entitlements like medicare which is a no no. Cut the military first. We dont need a lot of new trillion dollar fighrer planes. This is cold war mentality which does not fit with today's asymetrical and cyberwarfare. They can create computer bugs like Stuxnet that took out the Iranian nuclear facilility for less money and with no human cost.
No, more like the hard working, angular jawed box factory owner was too busy love-raping the wealthy blonde socialite who bummed him a cigarette to ensure quality control of his operation
Jesus Christ was not a communist, communists don't believe in God.
Obama hates babies.
Start calling him President Moloch.
I’m not sure I understand your implication? Both Ayn Rand and her philosophy are atheistic. There is no difference between the messenger and the message.

You clearly are not involved at your national, state, city, county levels. Most around here are at all local levels. If you are not, you need to be. If you need links to get you there I can help. Just let me know.
VIVA LA TEA PARTY!
"Christianity and Objectivism are diametrically opposed philosophies. As Rand herself used to say 'check your premises'."
Absolutely, and you seem to be operating under several faulty premises:
1. That Paul Ryan's economic plan is based somehow on religion (the part of Rand he obviously rejects), and not on economics and the motivations behind market forces (the part he obviously accepts).
2. That to accept part of someone else's ideas necessitates that you accept 100% of their ideas. As I said elsewhere, I'm a huge fan of Rand. But even I differ from Rand on a few things.
"Also, if you think true communism is about government helping the poor, then you’re no expert on communism, either."
Perhaps you're right there. I only know about Communism through its effects. Namely, mountains of corpses.
Not rude
A spouse male or female should not be referred to as the other half.
Women don't like it and men just put up with it..
I noticed the there / their but I was just copy pasting.
I was being sarcastic,not rude.
Call your spouse "the other half" with a group of other people, and see if nobody reacts even a little.
It is a little disrespectful.
Lowest? Up down up down, and always the same drama.
Let me know when taxes are uniform among the several states, mmmmmmmk? Then you will have a grip you say another should get.
Bush will be hailed a hero? You're insane. It was on his watch that the economy collapsed.
You're not really making any sense at all. Whether or not the democrats or the republicans or both are responsible for the economic collapse is not really the issue here dumbass. The collapse happened and that's the reason the economy is still in the sewer. Not unions or medicaid like I just pointed out. Reading comprehension is obviously not your strong suit.
