In a recent interview, James Delingpole provides a different perspective on the future of the EU and the dangers of the modern Green Movement.
While many people originally thought creating a European super-state would avert war, James Delingpole believes it has had the opposite effect. “Like the Titanic, the ship is doomed,” he explains. A journalist for the London Daily Telegraph and The Spectator, Delingpole asserts that Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron has been a disaster for conservatives – no Margaret Thatcher by any means.
In his recent book, Watermelons: The Green Movement’s True Colors, Delingpole argues that the Green Movement is the “greatest threat Western Civilization has ever known.” With activists taking the moral high ground, and scientists distorting scientific facts, the circumstances are dangerous. President Obama has neglected to look at the cost-benefit analysis of the Green Movement, and has wasted $38.6 billion of taxpayer money by investing in clean energy start-ups.

If we don't clean house and get rid of the over-spending members of Congress we are doomed to suffer the same fate.
The statist has always used feel good psychobabblle to appeal to the masses and further their ends.
True conservation is a conservative ideal, waste and abuse of resources is good for no one.
This alone is antithetical to a government – a state. To the state there is no end to the fundamental resource, the wealth of the citizen. That the citizen should conserve is of no consequence for example to a Michelle Obama who wants to go to Hawaii.

Not to mention suppressing the development of our oil and nuclear resources at every turn. He is also imposing increasingly restrictive emission regulations, that wastefully pour resources into diminishing returns, right at the time we need industrial growth in our economy.
This is excellent analysis and yes I agree that one reason for the decline in Europe is the role of Watermelons. The Watermelons have had too much influence on policy and billions of dollars and euros are being wasted on technology that will not work.
A good example of what is wrong in Europe is Spain where the previous Marxist government of Zepatto (sp) invested billions in green technology. There were job losses, not job gains as a result of this investment. Each job loss means that more money is being wasted on welfare expenditure. The Spanish are not necessarily lazy, but following the Green agenda has been bad for that country.
Spain is just the microcosm. The UK is another example of billions being wasted on watermelon technology. Most of those recent pictures of turbines exploding have come from the UK.

The European Union is founded on the laughable notion that the legislatures of 17 fractious countries can ever simultaneously agree on anything.
Good luck with that. We can't even get our own legislature to agree on something so basic as to avert economic disaster.
It's been said that we are five years behind Europe's collapse. Ironically, if ZERO is relected, he will have 5 years from now to totally collapse US. As much carnage as he has inflicted in less than 3 years, he should finish with a lot of time to spare. Why are God-fearing patriots allowing this destruction to continue??? When it is obvious that it's time to stand and confront this evil, we will not be able to.
It goes against common sense to think a technology that is not economically viable can be good for anyone or any country.
I think the fact that the answer to every issue that the Left creates is to transfer money from someone who created something of value and made money to those who do not create value completely exposes what the goals are.
When we are told the climate is changing and the only way to save the world is to tax wealthy nations and give the money to poorer nations…one has to question the 'science'. I mean, how is it that the resolution to a 'scientific' problem is purely politico-economics??? No scientific means to stop global warming? Really?
Poor people have significantly MORE children than people who are not poor. Hence, you have more and more poor people.
Rebalancing, redistributing or whatever you choose to call this leftist goal of erradicating that which they term 'income disparity' in the name of 'fairness' will not solve the problem.
No one wants to say it, but the reality is: Poor people, who have just enough means to support themselves, making the choice to bring multiple children into the world destroys their own chance to get out of poverty and starts their chlidren off with little chance of getting out of it.

Its time for us to show those corrupt bureaucrats the instruments of torture , and how they are going to die, lashed to the bottom of a cespool, drowning in the rising tides of their global warming BS. Sooner or later they will be asking for the hemlock.

Why can't we hear just one of these enviroweenies admit that we have done a phenomenal job cleaning up the environment over the last five decades. The "Don't Pollute" campaigns of the 60's and 70's were incredibly successful!
Rivers, streams and oceans were in terrible shape. Back then, some animals really were in danger of extinction due to man's actions. Air quality was awful. New environmental measures got rid of the dirty smokestacks, etc. Rivers that were disgustingly ruined back then, now flow with clean, clear water and teem with edible fish and wildlife.
I guess, once we got it cleaned up, the enviro crowd needed something else to whine about so they dreamed up "Global Warming"! Ugh!

James Delingpole – not alone -understands that none of what is happening in Europe or America is accident or serendipity but results of planned engineered goals – of leftists the model called International Communism – since the end of World War II with the patience to await the end results of the engrenage "for the greater good". That greater good that the hoi-polloi bend the knee, bow the head to the "elite" above the common, vulgar, unfortunately for the Progressives' aims sovereign peoples.____Mr Robinson emphasises the peacefulness and affluence of Europe for the past half century without hinting at the costs to Americans as primary defense of Europe.. A prize example for collective parasitism for the European "elite" ____Encouraged by the success of the destruction of sovereignty of peoples who succumbed to blandishments of the leftists, the present American Administration in Washington, culmination of the same leftists/Progressives in Europe and Great Britain since World War II, are now in full flow to implement the same destructive manouevres in Washington, With many Americans cheering them on.
