Who is Dismantling America? Dr. Thomas Sowell Takes the Pulse

To take one example, Dr. Sowell questions whether most people understand what is meant by President Obama’s background as a “community organizer.” A community organizer isn’t a friendly local expert doling out advice on better living, but is rather someone who mobilizes resentment at the behest of third party interests to put the public into battle on their behalf.
Dr. Sowell’s basic accusation of those who he believes are destroying America is that they do not–and have never–believed in the fundamental principles of the United States. President Obama, he argues, has always sought out associates who share this skepticism. Nevertheless, Obama is not responsible for the development of this thinking, but is rather the culmination of a long standing trend. This trend has been happening rapidly under Democratic presidents and unfortunately persists ,albeit more slowly, under Republican presidents.

I wish he would run for President. As a thinker and economist, he makes Krugman look like a drooling infant.
I read Dr. Sowell often, he is usually spot on.

Sounds like a "community organizer", Union boss, and many other lefty group hierarchy are nothing more than "rabble rousers".

Next to Schiff and Celente this is another man who when speaks everyone should listen. I agree with his dismantling theory and came up with my own not too long ago to compliment this. That congress, the admin in effect BHO's goal of fundamentally transforming the USA is more like Systematically Destroying the USA!

Community Organizer is a euphemism for Rabble Rouser – Perfectly suited for UNION tactics of generating discontent and sowing unfullfillable dreams that we get to pay for.

This change did not happen with the election of Oblamer, this has been simmering for decades. We may end up thanking Obummer for helping to lift the veil and fully expose the corruption and twisted dreams of these progressive social experimenters that created this Frankenstein of a reality. Now with the giant silent majority waking from their decades long slumber, things are going to get real uncomfortable for these sick little minds.

There is hope. The “academics” Sowel speaks of are not what they used to be. The graduates educated in places like Berkeley with degrees outside of the hard sciences can’t write, they’ve read very little (outside of required reading lists) & generally have a hard time finding themselves on a map. Look at the non-fiction bestseller lists over the past decade and it becomes painfully clear that the left has already lost the brain war. Journalism is a great example: 50 years ago editors wanted to see real degrees in history or literature before hiring a reporter, now it’s degrees in “journalism”, whatever that is.
Rarely do we find men who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. There is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some people more than having to think.

OMAHA, Neb. — A federal judge overturned Nebraska's ban on flag mutilation Thursday, clearing the way for Kansas church protesters to continue trampling on the U.S. flag when they protest at military funerals.
The ruling from U.S. District Judge Richard Kopf said the law can't be applied as long as Megan Phelps-Roper and fellow members of the Westboro Baptist Church "otherwise act peacefully while desecrating the American or Nebraska flag during their religiously motivated protests."
It was unclear whether the ruling applied only to the church members or to everyone in Nebraska. An earlier temporary block of the law applied only to Phelps-Roper.
The judge declined to explain the intent of his ruling when reached by The Associated Press.

Thomas Sowell is the greatest living philospher in the world. I have been reading his work for 25 years and he has always been spot on about everything—he saw this coming years ago.

"One Sunday morning, an old cowboy entered a church just before services were to begin. Although the old man and his clothes were spotlessly clean, he wore jeans, a denim shirt and boots that were worn and ragged. In his hand he carried a worn-out old hat and an equally worn, dog-eared Bible.

This will be the 6th book of Mr Sowell's I will be reading after I finish "Black Rednecks and White Liberals". Unfortunately I only started reading him less than 2 years ago. Gee what happened less than 2 years ago.
He truly is a national treasure and I pray for a longer life for him. I hope he is still with us in 2012 leading up to the election. His insight is of great value to many Americans as a voice of sanity and reason and calming in a filthy political storm..

The real definition of community organizer: "Mobilizing all the resentment of a group of people and organizing them to battle with other people.
