You don't get it. The automotive companies make things. Banks don't, government doesn't, speeches don't, promises don't, and socialists have always failed.

The Republican party needs to remove the shackles of Gov't from our feet. Turn us lose and let us run free.
And to all the dead beats out the there that thinks the Gov't can and will take care of them, get a life and get a job.

There is one thing that would absolutely get the attention of, not only the members of Congress, but also the fringe media: Have a huge Tea Party EVERY WEEK in Washington DC like we had Sept. 12! There's no way that could be ignored.

Jack, please. So many believe that prayer in the schools was universal. It was not. And that prayer was, more or less, compulsory. My uncle learnt to fight at an early age because, being Jewish, he got attacked by gangs of "good Christian" children on his way to or from school.

Prayer in school was not outlawed. Compulsory prayer was, as well it should have been. The fact that school administrators are busting kids for saying grace of their lunch shows how much power these dime-store martinets like to exercise over folks who cannot push back, and nothing more.

My view is this: if one's faith is so fragile, so delicate, so weak, that it cannot survive from 8AM to 3PM without being reinforced, then perhaps it is time to rethink one's beliefs. A strong faith will not be overcome by the blathering of some NEA or AFT marionette.

I sure believe in everything Thaddeus says, except the part of freedom coming from God. See, I'm an atheist. Can I join anyway? I can almost make it work if I substitute the words "the life force of the universe" for "God". But maybe you have an acid test where you have to really believe in GOD -God, not "for all intents and purposes" God. I'd like to know how many who subscribe to this philosophy actually believe in God, and how many go along with it and button their lips about it because it's so much closer to what they believe in than what the other party espouses.
