Obama’s Sordid Past Back in the News
by Tom FittonThere is an old saying in politics: “What’s old is new.” And with a presidential election around the corner, some of Obama’s sordid connections are now back in the news and being investigated with renewed fervor.
Of course, if you’ve been following the news, you know billionaire businessman and star of the show Celebrity Apprentice, Donald Trump, has been banging the drums the loudest on some of these issues. The press has focused heavily on his criticism of Obama on the subject of his birth certificate, an issue first raised by supporters of Hillary Clinton that continues to dog the president. But there were other comments by Trump last week that caught my attention, specifically Obama’s ties to Antoin “Tony” Rezko and William Ayers.
As Newsmax reported, Trump suggested the unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers wrote Obama’s book “Dreams of My Father.” (Though the terrorist may have been joking, Ayers actually said the same thing in a speech at Montclair State University last month.) Judicial Watch has highlighted Obama’s ties to radicals such as Ayers, race-baiter “Reverend” Jeremiah Wright and convicted felon Rezko. But the Big Media (and too many Republicans) seems uninterested that Obama was a close ally and funder of an unrepentant terrorist or entered into a shady real estate deal with Rezko, who everyone knew at the time to be under criminal investigation. So it is good that Trump highlighted the corruption issue that is so important to Judicial Watch and the hundreds of thousands of Americans who support our cause: “So you got Reverend Wright, you got Bill Ayers, you got Tony Rezko. He drops these guys, and the press leaves him alone,” Trump told Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity.
While Trump may be just now coming to some new revelations regarding Obama’s suspect ties, Judicial Watch has been investigating them for years. In fact, we put boots on the ground in Chicago to get to the truth in the matter. Now that these characters are back in the news, I think it’s a good idea to review some of what we’ve already uncovered:
- Judicial Watch obtained documents regarding the Annenberg Challenge, a school program designed by Ayers, who is a known domestic terrorist. Ayers, who is now a retired university professor, was once a member of the Communist domestic terrorist group Weather Underground that planted bombs in government buildings such as the Pentagon. Ayers has publicly stated that he doesn’t regret setting the bombs and that his violent group actually “didn’t do enough.” Obama served as Chairman of the organization for eight years (1995-2002). The documents include a fundraising letter signed by Obama requesting a $22,500 grant noting, “we [the Annenberg Challenge] are launched.”
- Judicial Watch uncovered documents that further establish Obama’s connection to convicted felon Antoin “Tony” Rezko. The documents show Barack Obama supported a housing development project known as Cottage View Terrace, which yielded $900,000 in developers’ fees for Rezko and Obama’s employer, lawyer Allison Davis. (The project application states, “State Senator Barack Obama has provided support.”) Rezko, who was involved in Obama’s questionable “super jumbo home loan,” was ultimately convicted on 16 counts of fraud and money laundering. He has personally donated at least $21,000 to Obama’s campaigns, and raised over two hundred thousand dollars in additional support.
- Judicial Watch obtained documents that raise questions about Michelle Obama and the Rezko-Cottage View land deal as well. One document that lists the number of community institutions involved with the Cottage View Terrace project includes the University of Chicago. In 1998, Michelle Obama was working for the University of Chicago as Associate Dean of Student Services. She was also in charge of developing the University’s Community Service Center. The university wrote three letters in which it “enthusiastically supports” the project. The university supported other Rezko projects as well.
- Other documents we found show that Obama “Special Advisor” czar Valerie Jarrett, whom CBS News once called “the other side of Barack Obama’s brain,” is also connected to Rezko. She served on the Board of Directors for the Fund for Community Redevelopment and Revitalization, an organization that worked with Rezko and Allison Davis, and also voiced her support for other Rezko projects.
And then, of course, when it comes to Obama’s crooked friends, we can’t forget about former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who is also back in the news now that his second corruption trial is underway. (Blago was arrested and hauled off in handcuffs for attempting to “sell” the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by Barack Obama when he ascended to the White House.)
JW has aggressively investigated the Blagojevich scandal. Our own Corruption Chronicles blogger Irene Garcia was on the ground in Illinois for the Blago trial. You can read some of her excellent reporting here. But let me bottom line this for you: According to sworn testimony during the “Blago” trial, former Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel (a.k.a. “Rhambo”) served as Obama’s chief negotiator with the Blagojevich team as the then Illinois Governor attempted to illegally sell Obama’s former Senate seat to the highest bidder.
Of course this squares with documents we obtained from Blago’s office related to the then Illinois governor’s contacts with then-President-elect Obama and his transition team. The documents include a December 3, 2008, letter from Barack Obama following a December 2, 2008, meeting with Blagojevich as well as a November 17, 2008, letter signed by Presidential Transition Team co-chairs Valerie Jarrett and John Podesta providing Blagojevich with a list of transition team contacts. “I want to make it a priority of my Administration to work closely with you,” Obama wrote to Blagojevich.
Unfortunately the federal prosecutor cut short the case against Blagojevich and Emanuel and other Obama insiders were never called to testify. Will they get it right this time?
Remember that then-President-elect Obama was interviewed by the FBI in December, 2008, about his Blago dealings. (Usually, corrupt presidents get interviewed by the FBI after they’re in office!)
The point of this review is this: Obama’s suspicious connections were important in 2008. And they’re just as important now, especially since the press has let Obama completely off the hook over these concerns. It’ll be interesting to see what happens this time around, now that Trump is using his various public vehicles to raise these issues once again. (Judicial Watch does not endorse candidates for public office.)
The fact that Trump is doing so well in the polls should be a signal to both Democrats and Republicans that corruption matters.

Until proven other wise, push Barack H. Obama's birth certificate aside for now.
The main issue of facts before us are Article I, and Article II to the U.S. Constitution, and the known citizenships of Barack H. Obama's II parents, as being American and Kenyan.
* The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land.
* The Framers of the Constitution didn't make a mistake when they spelled out "Citizen" in Article I for the legislative branch. Nor did they error by spelling out "Natural Born Citizen" in Article II for the presidency.
* Where did the Framers obtain the terms "Citizen" and "Natural Born Citizen" from: Vittales "Laws of Nations," Book 1, Chapter 19, Section 212.
* Laws of Nations spells out that both parents must be "Citizens" of a country to be able to a produce a "Natural Born Citizen."
* Barack's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham was a U.S. Citizen.
* Barack Obama Sr. was a Kenyan Citizen, or British subject, meaning, the combination of a U.S. Citizen and Kenyan Citizen or dual citizenship did NOT Constitutionally qualify Barack Jr. to be eligible for the U.S, presidency.
* In a nutshell, because the distinct difference between "Citizen" vs. "Natural Born Citizen" clearly doesn't matter where on mother earth Barack H. Obama II was born. Constitutionally, he doesn't pass muster as a U.S. "Natural Born Citizen." At the present, he's usurping the position, and he knows it!

It was only due to media assistance last election that Obama was elected. All this information was being shared, aired and explored soon after Obama was announced as a candidate, even before he was the Democratic nominee…
…and yet every time the information was exposed, dozens of Obama campaigners appeared and ridiculed whoever posted this. Changed the subject. All the routine Leftwing name-calling ugliness most readers here are familiar with as to internet content. It was the incessant push by the Leftmedia that "spoke around" all this information and refused to explore it that got Obama into the White House, generally on fantasy and myth that today many see for what it was (fantasy and myth, that and his racial-appeals).
The Right has to step faster in this and start pressing these stories, among others, and learn not to be dissuaded by the predictable Left/Obama campaigners who always show up and write accusations about the Right and deflect attention off the real issue, which is Obama's corruption.
He was elected on fantasy and theatrical appeal. Remember the swooning, screaming, yelling, fainting even in Berlin when he spoke there? And why was he even campaigning in Berlin at all? So many things about the last election that the Right just refused to attack but should have.
If Obama was a Republican the left would have called for his resignation a long time ago. Our media ignores the preponderance of questionable background info and says nothing while Congress has no will to take him on, either. What will stop this man?

This is all no thanks to the fringe bias media. I'm curious why were they so in love with him from the beginning? No one knew anything about him yet they were all and still are to this day prepared to fall on a sword for him. PHILADELPHIA — A U.S. appeals court is awarding death-row activist Mumia Abu-Jamal a new sentencing hearing in the 1981 murder of a Philadelphia police officer.
Tuesday's ruling is the latest in the former Black Panther's long-running legal saga.
The 58-year-old Mumia's first-degree murder conviction stands in the fatal shooting of Officer Daniel Faulkner.
But the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is upholding its earlier ruling that the death-penalty instructions to the jury were unclear at Mumia's 1982 trial.
The U.S. Supreme Court last year ordered the court to review that decision.
The three-judge panel is standing by its decision after hearing a new round of legal arguments.

I think it comes down to the fact that there are people whose careers are the federal government, that they don't want to rock-their-boat as to those pensions and benefits and all that media/face time, things of that nature.
I have wondered so many times how it is that people of such unsound mind and bizarre character as Nancy Pelosi and so many others continue on in government, and yet it can't be because of their assets, which are paltry. People employed in "government" can't seem to do anything (or anything else), they just exist in these various career enclaves and then learn to protect those who they then rely on to protect them. Not from truth or function but from losing those career jobs in government and all the padding that goes along with that.
I'm very disappointed in our government today; it doesn't any longer seem to be "our" government, either, but some sort of invasive group who has overtaken what resources We The U.S. People had.

He would certainly have been eligible for citizenship at birth whether he was born in the US or not. now, if he was born in Kenya, would that have precluded him from becoming president? I suppose we could ask the Republican party to see what they think about it. Mitt's father George Romney ran for president in 68. He was born in Mexico, a fact not in dispute at all. He wasn't kept out of the Republican primaries though. Obviously, he didn't win, Nixon did, but the party allowed him to run. So, if it was ok for George Romney in 68, why was it such a problem in 08?
Currently, Title 8 of the U.S. Code fills in the gaps left by the Constitution. Section 1401 defines the following as people who are "citizens of the United States at birth:"
-Anyone born inside the United States *
-Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person's status as a citizen of the tribe
-Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.
-Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national
-Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year
-Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21
-Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)
-A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S.

And the article failed to mention the lot next door. Rezko gave Obama the empty lot next to his home for about 1/3 the actual value of the property.

As for the Senate seat, you will recall the Obama's transition team first said Blago and Barack talked about the possible candidates on a few occasions and that Obama was well-aware of the short list candidates through Blago.
Another staffer said Obama was not aware of anything Blago was doing to fill the seat.
Then Jarrett admits that she spoke with Tom Balanoff of the SEIU about Blago's efforts to sell the seat. Yet there is no indication that Jarrett made any contact with federal authorities regarding this obvious violation of the law.
Blago is trying to have all the tapes aired and have Rahm, Jarrett, Axelrod and even Obama put on the stand. Blago's defense is that he was only playing typical machine politics.
But this is a federal trial, so don't hold your breath.
Washington-someone needs to put Trump in contact with Wayne Allen Root, whos an official in the Libertarian party. Root happened to attend law school at Columbia, and has said publically Ojerkoff did not attend there when he claimed.

The Birth Certificate is the key to proving who Soetoro's father really is. In order to make the case you lay out about Natural Born Citizen, in order to prove it, a document proving who his father is is necessary.
The Birth Certificate isn't about location, it is about parentage. The reason it has been made about location is because no Hospital is listed on the certification debacle. This was done on purpose to make requests for the long form SEEM to be about location rather than parentage. Then, the case can be made about "born here" and "Citizen" as if that settles it – just as CNN is doing now.
Jackson, I agree with you that NBC is the core of the issue but I disagree that setting the Birth Certificate issue aside is the right way to go. Indeed, it is the wrong thing to do in order to make the very case you put forth.
This can only play out one of two ways.
1) Soetoro was not fathered by Barack Obama Senior and thus he is a fabrication
or
2) He was and is still a fabrication.
Regardless, proving what is the real deal depends on and starts with the Long Form Birth Certificate as legal legit hard evidence of Parentage. It has to start there and Soetoro knows it, which is why he went so far as to see Lakin go to jail over it and media went so far as to bury that story. However, he gets out soon and I predict he will not be silent about it when he does. Interesting that his release rests close to Corsi's book coming out, eh?
We are close to SHTF and I for one am happy about that. It's about time.
Judicial Watch has been on this case and corruption cases within the Obama Administration. It, the Heritage Foundation and the Cato Institute are the think-tanks Conservatives need to take on the Soros Multi-Headed Monster at which he and his surrogate (Obama) sit.
Trump has done the US a great service by reviving these issues. Even if the birth certificate issue hits a dead end, maybe people will finally look at the people Obama has associated himself with during his life and who surrounds him now as President. The truth will set us free.

I agree. It's a technicality at most. It would have all been sorted out, but possibly not in time for him to run in 08. Time was of the essence to his campaign. They knew any delay before he was POTUS would result in the public finding out more and more about him. That was something they could not afford to happen.

People heap scorn on birther issue, but it has no effect on Obama zombies, but if it sways even 10% of independent vote it will be worth it. And though many scoff at it, I think in the privacy of a voting booth it will gnaw at some folks' insides and have an effect. This will largely be because O will never take any simple steps take the power away from these questions – his monkeys will simply go Alinsky on critics. But that too is suspicious.

What happened was one of the biggest landslides in US history; the Democrats lost their largest majority in a generation to the Republicans, who now have one of the largest majorities of any party in the House ever.

Honestly CL, I think the only viable way to resolve it would be impeachment proceedings and with dems still having a majority in the senate, it would be very difficult to pass. However, if several states require proof of citizenship and residency in order to be on the 2012 ballot, that might bring things to the forefront.

Right now, 46% of people polled say that there is no way they would vote for Obama in the next election. 2012 will be decided by a very narrow sliver of the electorate — independents who can still be swayed. While the "natural born citizen" issue by itself probably will not sway anyone, it is one of the straws that adds weight to the camel's back.
The real value, as I see it, is that a high profile person who commands much media attention is publicly blasting away at Obama on every issue. It doesn't matter so much which issues he picks, the mere fact that he is attacking Obama and getting publicity for it hurts Obama immeasurably.

Only condition (c) requires that both parents be U.S. citizens. If Obama was born outside the US, then Section (g) applies. If that is the case, then Obama is not a natural born US Citizen since his mother was not old enough (19) to confer citizenship.

Also, IAW the 1930 Hague dual citizenship treaty, Indonesian Law and US INA Section 4 (c and g), he lost his UK/US/Kenya/Zanzibar citizenship when he changed his name and registered in school in Indonesia as an Indonesian Muslim. If he was born in the US, he could have applied for and obtained US permanent residency by the age 23 and become a Naturalized US citizen, but he didn’t.
