Obama’s 6 Worst Policy Decisions
by Thomas Del Beccaro
From Guantanamo to Health Care, Obama is certainly seeking to Change America – or more accurately -to accelerate the pace of change from a private enterprise-freedom based civilization to a Big Government-run society. According to Thomas Paine, “It is the duty of a patriot to protect his country from his government.” I realize that is a slightly different definition than Joe Biden would use, but nevertheless, in that light, here is my listing of the worst of his policy decisions:
6. Bailing Out GM. “His policy of public investments prevented necessary liquidations. The businesses he hoped thus to save either went bankrupt in the end, after fearful agonies, or were burdened . . . by a crushing load of debt. [He] undermined property rights . . .pushed federal credit into the banks and bullied them into inflating . . .” Historian Paul Johnson wrote that of Herbert Hoover. You can almost substitute Obama’s name for Hoover’s in every detail. By the way, Government Motors sales are declining at 3 times the rate of the industry as a whole. Hoover would be proud.
5. The Energy Farce. In what universe does economics work like this: A $14 trillion economy is sinking and employers are cutting jobs, so…let’s raise the costs of doing business even more and that will lead to a recovery fueled by an industry, i.e. green technology, which barely exists? Cap & Trade is right out of a classic “command economy” model worthy of 1940’s Eastern Bloc imaginations. If it passes, its regulations will stifle the US economy for decades before someone is wise enough to junk it amidst global cooling.
4. The So-Called Stimulus Bill. So far, this is Obama’ signature legislative “accomplishment.” In time it will be his albatross. The basic policy decision made by Obama was directly the opposite of the choice Reagan made. Reagan said government was not the solution to our problems - Government was the problem. Reagan dramatically cut taxes and regulations, the economy rebounded and tax revenues doubled. Obama’s policy, on the other hand was, and is, to have government spend our way out of our economic problems. Sadly for us, spending, taxing and borrowing is not an economic remedy for too much existing debt and the far too high existing tax burden. Indeed, as the Congressional Budget Office pointed out, in the long run, Obamanomics will hurt more than it will help. Given its short term-failure, it’s hard to imagine something worse and it is even harder not to dub this one of his worst policy decisions.
3. Socialized Health Care. Do I really have to explain the demerits of this decision? Socialized medicine doesn’t work, never has and never will and will be nearly impossible to repeal – oh, and it will bankrupt us. Next!
2. Trying Terrorists in American Courts. As I stated my article, Internment, CSI and Eric Holders Disarming of America, throughout our history, we have treated enemy combatants as those committing an act of war. That is so because (a) they are not US citizens, and (b) their acts were acts of war. In other words, they were not criminal acts of a US citizen committed during peace time. Now however, Obama has allowed at least one enemy combatant to be tried in a US criminal court subject to the constitutional laws of our country. The parade of horribles that will emerge from this decision are numerous and include putting America on trial, tearing down the barriers between citizens and non-citizens and changing the way we fight wars.
1. Cancelling the Missile Defense System. On November 16, 2008, fresh off Obama’s victory, Time Magazine carried an article that read: “Missile-defense skeptics yearning for a fresh look at the wisdom of pumping $10 billion annually into missile defense aren’t going to get it from Barack Obama when he moves into the Oval Office.” How so very wrong Time was. Obama did cancel the long range system – just as every liberal Democrat has been want to do to American defense systems in pursuit of less guns and more butter. So why was that Obama’s worst policy decision? Even worse than nationalization of health care?
Let me count the ways:
1) Defense spending on defense technology is dollar-for-dollar very productive (compared to most gov’t spending) and leads to break-throughs thereby employing and encouraging US scientists – I thought the liberals told me we needed to encourage future scientists?
2) You do not negotiate for years with an at-risk ally, i.e. Poland, and then pull the plug on the deal – what does that say to future at-risk allies, like say Israel! It says you can’t count on the U.S.
3) Obama’s decision to abandon the longer range missiles is based on an assumption that Iran is no longer interested in longer based offensive missiles. You read that right, Obama is trusting Iran against the advice of Bush era advisors,
4) The decision leaves the U.S. without a long range system for the Eastern Seaborg – You are on your own NYC – don’t worry it can’t happen twice,
5) The Decision tells Middle Eastern countries, like Saudi Arabia, that you better defend yourself, i.e. it could/will start a local arms race.
6) It was an obvious caving into Russia without a serious, tangible benefit, and
7) It is in keeping with his other defense cuts which send a strong message when you consider his weak rhetoric. Dean Acheson, who turned his back on South Korea, which led to the Korean War, could not be more impressed.
All in all, when it comes to the nuclear world, ignoring Jefferson’s advice that “Weakness provokes insult & injury,” seems beyond a bad policy decision – it is his worst policy decision.
So there they are – the 6 worst. Stay tuned, however, the worst may be yet to come!

7) That he should wake up in the morning and breathe.
wow – these are some pretty big items. it's not like he mistakenly used baking soda instead of powder or something like that. how do we take the keys away from this troubled teen?
WHAT, only 6? This POS can't even get out of bed without doing something truely heinous. I do agree that the worst is yet to come, or rather come to light. He is ruining virtually every aspect of our country and our individual rights and lives.
The decision was bad no matter how you slice it, but there are more tactful dates to announce it.
That was done on purpose. No such thing as 'coincidence' with this a-hole.
Isn't he thoughtful!
The worst policy decisions never made the big headlines.
My list would have to include his inclusion of self-avowed Marxists, crony capitalists, self-serving political apparatchiks, and shady globalist power brokers into his inner circles. (along with the acceptance of untold millions of their money)
Instead of the lapse in missile defense, it would also include the buried story in which our sensitive missile sites and nuclear capabilities were opened up to Russians and the IAEA for visits and detailed inspections, in preparation for the aggressive force reductions in 2012. This complete neutering of our nuclear capability has been the dream of the far left for decades now, as seriously pursued by Rockefeller, Soros & Co., through all of the anti-American claptrap emanating from their pet think tanks.
It would also include the shadowy shenanigans at the Federal Reserve, including the $23.7 trillion in exposure (net of offsetting derivatives positions) to which the Federal Reserve and the US Treasury is exposed.
However, I suspect that the worst decisions made so far are completely unknown to us. This administration has already proven its capacity for fundamentally reshaping the fabric of our nation by fiat, and its position on transparency being a buzzword, and nothing more.
Who knows what blunders have yet to leak. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the six worst are completely unknown outside of Obama's inner circle.
Its the Cloward and Piven strategy…overwhelm the system and never let a serious crisis go to waste…
That amounted to a BIG RED BOW on the gift he gave Putin after they 'spooned' each other. Obama is still waiting for Putin to call him after sleeping with him on a first date.
If one assumes that Obama has the best interests of America and Americans at heart, then nothing he does appears well thought out or sensible. But if one assumes that the Obamunist program has a coherent animating goal, propelled by an ideology independent of American interests, everything starts to make a sinister sort of sense.
But then, assuming good intentions on the part of our ideological adversaries, even in the face of massive amounts of contrary evidemce, is a perennial conservative weakness.
All he needs now is unlimited funding to fund his unlimited spending. Problems solved.
It all brings new meaning to a Community Organizer…
Is this for real???

Lorben – and if you don't have a crisis, make one up.
SEIU, Acorn, New Black Panthers Party- his DOJ policy to look the other way… regardless of the evidence.
don't they have to kill a bunch of trees to print all this worthless money?
this absolutely is….oh yeah, what's the word he always like to use in every speech he makes??
oh yeah……he alwatys describes everything he does by saying…..this is "UNPRECEDENTED" ……
and I now believe his leadership is to take us all straight to hell…..unprecenented my ass, he knows full well what he is doing to our country — transformative redistribution of wealth.
That picture, priceless……..'What do you mean–No I can't."
'I hate you!'
I agree. I almost want to avoid the news because every day it seems he's done something else. Makes me miss Clinton, who seemed at least to keep it to every other day. :-/
H1N1 anyone?
Yes, terrifyingly, it is. I wonder when Rumsfeld is going to disappear in the middle of the night and show up in some international court on trial for war crimes.
What is a Seaborg?
Mine are Biden, Nap-a-lap-ino, Holder, 2009 Congress, Anita Dunn, Van Jones, Mark Llyod, Fly-over_ Manhatten, Beer Summitt, Shout out and Kevin Jennings
Those are six good ones, but the Iran policy is the worst one I've seen thus far.
http://thehayride.com/2009/12/the-iran-policy-whi...
"6 worst policy decisions…" Please list the good ones! What has this guy done that has put America in a better situation since taking office along with the radical Congress that is pushing this admins agenda? We are in very dangerous waters and MOST of America is no seeing it. 2009 has been one awful year don't want to see what is coming in 2010. Don't assume what these ppl are doing will get them out of office. As I have written the zombies will once again come out of the woodwork to keep these ppl in office. America you need to take action to get the corrupt politicians fringe media and special interest groups up against a wall. The phone calls, emails, faxes, letters and protests aren't working if you think they are you are delusional to think election '10 is a sure win, if they were working these things would not be happening. Yet look at how relentless all parties are in destroying this country to "fundamentally change" it. They are not concerned at the least that they are being "threatened" by constituents that they will be kicked out of office!
This should be the topic of discussion, look at what they are doing and they do not care what the ppl are telling them as if they know something we don't! Do not forget ACORN is still in business. Wake up and take America back from the corrupt politicians, bias fringe media pushing their agenda and special interest groups benefitting from it all through http://www.savingtherepublic.com
What good has he done? he nominated a mutt/dog for a family pet.
So here's what happens: things get so bad that the Republicans sweep the 2010 elections and then things start to get better. They get so much better that by 2012, himself can say "see all the progress I've made" and gets reelected.
Can you say Anti-Christ? He is currently sunning himself in Hawaii.
I would like to see him UNPRESIDENTED.
He likes the sound of his own voice and believes his own line of B/S…..not good folks.
Bingo.
They'll try to throw W and Cheney to that court as well; plus many of our military now serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
remember the bird flu? the medicine, tamiflu, killed more people than bird flu did. Obama is mad at the teleprompter for telling him to declare a natl. emergency because of h1n1
Nope; that's what he promised to do, but didn't. Their dog is a pedigreed pure bred.
Bowfest really got on my nerves
Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

There is but one entity responsible for all these debacles but it isn't the media crowned messiah himself. The American people hold responsibility for all of this – because so many voted for it in the first place.
Nothing, short of launching the nuclear football, is "unfixable", no matter what Harry Reid would have people believe. Those responsible for these problems can fix this, though it will likely take several election cycles to do so.
The question is; Will they?
hey he might be a failure at his job but he's an awesome surfer dude….

I used to think that since our system of government moved slowly that even a really bad president couldn't do much harm. How wrong I was. The harm caused by these amateur players will last for many elections…far beyond our life time.
With no experience in any of these matters, what can be expected from the Obama.
Elections have consequences.
A Clear and Present Danger to America.
If the districts were based on representation instead of a artificial majority to ensure re-elections I would agree it was the peoples fault, but it is not. Amnesty can never be fixed. Once given the those who obey the law like hard working American will pay for decades.
If citizens ever regaincontrol of the government I think it will be time to ensure only educated, testable people be allowed to vote, not homeless dregs given $5, not MTV idiots that don't have a clue, not people that don't have a basic grasp of hisstory and civics… Look what has happened; a total Idiot who has made so many mistakes in governing this country that it cannot be accidental, has been selected to lead this country. Lead it into the toilet.
The worse is when BO mocked hard working taxpaying voters.. This is un forgivable for president to mock hard law abiding americans.
I do realize that regain control are 2 distinct words… and history has only one S… lol. But at least I spelled idiot correctly, and also identified the idiot-in-chief…
I took Tamiflu about four years ago and became very delirious, which at first I thought it was due to my fever from the flu. I have heard recently Tamiflu can cause hallucinations and I remembered I was seeing colors, patterns and was so sick that I just wanted to die. I have never been that ill in my life…I know I will never take it again. I would rather die. I would never recommend it to anyone.
http://www.druglib.com/adverse-reactions_side-eff...
This link sheds light on Tamiflu, it is mainly case reports from Japan but they are the ones who have used it more than any other nation.
I would have added the Czars to that list…criminals, communists, pedophiles…I could go on but, you know what I mean!!
I’m really at a loss for words on Barry’s worst policy decisions, he is an utter failure as a President in every way, Barry = fail!
Cloward and Piven – Problem is that for some reason even rational commentators don't seem to think Obama "really" wants to crash the economy.
They just cant believe anyone that holds the office of the president can be that evil and that corrupt. Does not matter that he comes right out and says it.
If these guys were Paul Revere they would have ridden forth and shouted "The british are coming, but I am sure they mean no harm!"
http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/negative_l...
I agree, but I would settle for balanced budget, flat tax, and government accountabilty and transparency amendments.
I think there are about 8 that need to be done to kill the progressive zombies, but those 3 would stun the majority of leftist handout kings and queens for about a 100 years.
The way Obama is going it's quite possible that we might transform america, but not the way in which he things, I suspect the anger that is building may allows us to move back towards a constitutional democratic republic vs. the entitlement nation we have become!
It is more…… I'll show you it's not your money..
The worst policy is his general Death to America strategy. (stolen from the Iranians)
This policy is the umbrella policy for all decisions and driving force behind every move.
What the mass media cannot seem to articulate is the modern-day concept of a useful idiot as it relates to the current political culture.
The mass media does not look for collaboration unless it fits a rather explicit definition of cooperation, in which every participant is aware of the outcome, desirous of the outcome, and seeking to bring about the outcome. This isn't how Washington works.
Only a select few elites fit all three criteria. The rank-and-file progressive politician is merely a useful idiot to the overall plan.
Modern-day Washington is built on a system of mutual consent, known commonly as "horse trading." (Republicans are equally as guilty) This system induces politicians to abandon thinking or analyzing anything but their pet causes, and in doing so, they must agree blindly to support the pet causes of others without questioning them, or even contemplating what the end result will be.
In the end, we have:
The socialist faction trying to crash capitalism,
The green faction trying to bring about de-industrialization,
Frank, Dodd, and company ruining the banking system with politics,
Murtha, Byrd, Stevens, Cochran, and company ruining the appropriations process with pork projects,
The globalists trying to erode American sovereignty and national strength,
The race hustlers finding more ways to divide us,
The perpetual politicians destroying the schools to destroy independent thought in future voters,
…and so forth.
Large, nefarious policy goals only require a few crooks at the heart of each goal, since the corrupt system of two-party politics encourages the rest of the plotter's party to rubber-stamp the project in exchange for their own goals being favored in the same way.
The horse trading in Washington makes unbelievably sinister and villainous objectives much easier by reducing the number of people who must overtly agree with said agenda.
Is BHO the Economic Manchuian Candidate?
As we all know the definition of insanity is doing something that is bad, (painfull, damaging, does not work) over and over again. So, is this administration insane? I doubt it. Than what is going on here?
A closer look at the administration through their collective writings, the speeches, and backgrounds reveals them to be very far left leaning. Many of them openly quote some of the many architects of the leftst movement. People like Saul Alinsky, Cloward and Pvien, etc..
These are the some of the people who have created the blueprint for tearing down the hated free market system. What else could explain what is being systematically done to this country?
I hope I’m wrong
With a strong and vibrant Constitution, and an independent judiciary to enforce the original meaning, there should be no threat from those who would use government to loot.
Yes, many of those with no skin in the game will vote for virtually anything as long as it helps them at the expense of others.
That can be fixed in two ways:
1. Require skin in the game
2. Stop government from being used "…at the expense of others"
Option two preserves liberty to the greatest degree. In addition to preventing individual welfare, it also prevents corporate welfare, political welfare, cronyism, corruption, and pork spending.
[...] a related note, Thomas Del Beccaro at Big Government listed Obama’s 6 worst policy decisions. How he was able to whittle it down to a mere six is a [...]
100% pure, alright.
The official White House "pet" is pot bellied and doesn't bark.
The dog is just to keep up appearances.
Teddy Kennedy forced this dog on the Obamas; if left up to Barry, they still would be dogless !
You bet that this dog is just for show.
I think we are on the same page.
The only way to do that IMO is to beef up the constitution, I think it is sufficient as written but with the current state of "Interpretation" I think you have to defund the machine, short of a 2nd physical revolution I don't see any other way.
Willy robbed banks because that's where the money was, same problem with the average politician unfortunately
Don't if you have see these, I suspect so but just in case

With all due respect the MSM is completely bought out by the NWO, Globalists, Bilderbergers, pick your name. They are all regulars to Bohemian Grove. We no longer enjoy an ethical fourth estate. Our nation's watch dogs have been bought off, we are now left with a few honest newspapers, News Corp. to some extend, but mostly the still free enterprise driven internet for an honest account of the state of the nation and world.
Marx, Lenin, and Hitler were all Community Organizers.
No POTUS should head down bow to any other person – nor should any person head down bow to them.
Ever.
That is exactly what happened to Bill Clintoon in 1996.
The Commie crap Obowmao is pulling is UNPRECEDENTED, both by past President's actions, and by our Constitution.
You have not changed..
a lot old 912 went to

That and more help from Ross Perot.
Day 355: America Held Hostage by Obowmao.
Responsibility? How about the extremely lame and biased press? Propaganda works pretty well. Nothing will ever be fixed until modern journalism is.
Yeah but the "isolated extremist" who tried to bomb an American plane is getting mirandized. He does not have to tell us anything anymore.
bite your tongue! or keyboard or something, we cannot survive that long let alone have another term. If he get a second term he will be there for life. Hello Chavez!
DUH, HUH,YUK. This is what we get from a rock star.
Everything NO_Bama touches he screwes up. If you ran a business using NO_Bama's model you would be bankrupt in short order.
There is a question that keeps surfacing in my mind, Can the damage be undone even if we succede to elect good "normal" people?
Blame the people for road kill districts designed for re-election and to kill dissention. You are right there should be rioting in the streets over gerrymandering or it is the peoples’ fault.. Now is the time to fix unAmerican practices that kill the promise of America.
it is true media has sold out.. almost all media belongs to the chamber of commerce.
The underlying problem is the format and the audience.
The MSM is run by administration puppets with an agenda, whereas Fox is run by anti-administration mavericks with a slightly different agenda. Murdoch is beholden to regulators here and abroad, with the foreign regulators more intertwined with content than their counterparts here in America. Murdoch is beholden to the global debt markets for continued growth. News Corp's is a public corporation whose shareholders are mostly institutional and part of the same rent seeking system as the owners of the rest of the media. Murdoch is associated with many of the elitist villains backing the progressive movement.
If you want to play the NWO angle, you should be aware that Murdoch is a contributor to the CFR, and his name has appeared on one leaked Bilderberg invitee list.
The identities and agendas of those pulling the strings of the mass media is a distraction from the completeness of the problem. The major underlying problem is the format. There is simply no way to have an intelligent debate on television. Television itself is a poor medium to convey deep substance, even if it is completely free of the influence of commercials, entertainment, and agenda-driven producers.
I suggest you check out a copy of Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business. Postman makes some great points regarding the insufficiency of television for intelligent communication.
Intelligence in our political discourse has been destroyed by reducing serious issues to five minute discussions, quotations as soundbytes, slick use of branding/advertising techniques, celebrity worship, false dichotomies, etc.
With the loss of the dominance of the written word and the social connection, the discourse has degraded to the lowest common denominator, which happens to be extremely low. It is my hope that the Internet will usurp the television as the primary means of news, and in doing so, will break America's habit of consuming small amounts of news slowly, with frequent commercial interruption, among other distractions.
They do, but it means that they can't travel abroad, without the fear of a "Pinochet incident, now.
Districting itself matters not, when informed votes are cast across the board.
it is clear not all think like us.. some like their hand outs. so what voice do I have in a 55% one party rule gov party district. none for they will re-elect a party member.
Where did this pic of Obama take place. What an evil evil looking person.
I tend to come down on the side that knows people are smarter than most give them credit for. I would agree that many like their handouts and that this needs to be addressed head on. That is best done through tax reform.
I would offer to you that the party voters, on both sides of the aisle, are getting a good dose of supwitdat? That avenue came up with Obama and McCain and folks are getting fed up with that gruesome picture. Many voted D to punish the R, and they aren;t happy with those results either. Not by a long shot.
You can tell me all day long about your location. Pardon me when I say Join The Club. After all, I do live in Illinois! A sitting Governor who nobody voted for AND a sitting Senator who nobody voted for – not to mention the Chicago crew in Washington…….
As for the voice you have, well, it is all you choose to make it. Your vote is but one part of the voice you have.
President Obama: "The most expensive, scariest film ever created"
Only 6?
Can you even begin to measure the pile just with what we are expecting let alone what devious twists and turns this sick nightmare may take?
You are still fun.. I have voice and thus use it to destroy what is keeping it from being heard. the other part you talk about is money? Money from groups and out of districts people should stopped for kills the voice of real people real voters.
amen
and (pipe dream) the 'educational system'
plus after Clinton fumbled Congress to the GOP he was forced into a sense of reality concerning fiscal issues – and as a bonus he had more time for diddling interns and lying to Congress.
Yes. You're right about that. Maybe Big Education.com would be a good idea after Big Journalism.
Yes. You're right about that. Maybe Big Education.com would be a good idea after Big Journalism.
I doubt the fool Obama wasted ANY time on history = at least American history or world history not related to shining a pretty life up the ass of Communism and the Soviet Union.
The Polish should have spit in his face.
Yes it is, they are planning to come after Bush and Chaney. Our preisdent is evil.
Well count me in to fight on for America. It is not too late and we will look back at this I hope as a dumb mistake and be stronger for it. God Bless America and for those who believe.
Nicely done, we sure can't rely on the MSM to have our backs, all we have are each other, the few honest newspapers through out the world and the army of Davids on the internet.
Thanks Mr. Brietbart
Even with that fine Hawaiin sun, it takes a long time for Wookie to improve her tan.
Well thank you Thomas Del Teabagger. Your list reads like daily talking points from the Heritage Foundation.
6. The auto industry is the backbone of the American economy and one of the few durable consumer goods we still make here. It was in no American's interest to see that industry fail. Let's call it true national security.
5. Energy is national security, and your failure to realize that (probably for an oil and coal paycheck) makes you unqualified to criticize people who are trying to develop a comprehensive policy that will free us from the tyranny of foreign oil.
4. The stimulus bill is the difference between a recession and a depression. And as much as you would love to see it fail, it is doing exactly what it was designed to do. No one is spending or lending right now. Take the stimulus out of the picture and you will see another generational depression. Even Republicans don't want that.
3. Socialized health care… you mean like Medicare? For a program that doesn't work people sure are defending it. What doesn't work is for-profit health care delivery. Health care is a public utility just like police and fire protection, but for some reason we feel obliged to drain health care dollars out of the system and into the pockets of insurance companies. It is the insurance industry and their defenders in the congress that have brought the need for reform on us.
2. The American system of justice works, if we let it. We will handle terrorist scum just like any other organized criminals. Closing Gitmo will demonstrate to the world that we do not warehouse foreign criminals in secret prisons without charges.
1. Missile defense has been stood on its head by no bid contracts and people in congress who care more about the jobs for their constituents than they do about national defense. Our missile defense has not been cut, it has been re-prioritized around technology that actually works on mobile missile cruisers. Exactly like the folks at the Pentagon have been asking for for the last 10 years.
What, did you miss the Bush years?
Bush had lots of experience when he ran the economy into the ground. Experience doesn't mean much when you are blinded by ideology.
You mean like teabaggers? They are screaming to be mocked.
And this list of six will continue to grow, unless we can stop it come November 2010.
I completely agree with your assessment of Murdoch, never meant to imply he hasn’t been to Bohemian Grove, good work anonymous. Merely pointing out Murdoch is slightly lesser of evils.
Card check, cap and trade and close Gitmo. Sorry pal…
His name is Barack… Stan
anti-administration mavericks? You miss the Bush years?
Fox is a shill for the RNC.
We just want to regulate them so they don't steal us blind.
Grow up…
Sounds to me like you are fighting against America. That makes you a domestic enemy.
Are you threatening the president of the United States? That's still a crime.
It's called voting. If you don't like him vote for someone else.
If I were a teabagging ideologue I'd be scared too. But you people scare easily.
There's some useless information.
Reshaping by fiat? Did you miss the election? Why do you people hate democracy? The president has a electoral mandate and is doing exactly what he said he would do during the campaign.
Even that would be preferable to fighting two wars on credit.
You mean like a war with Iraq?
ACORN is very scary…
Why weren't you complaining about "transfer of wealth" when Bush transferred $1 trillion to his corporate buddies. Actually what he did was stole it from the middle class by making the tax payers fund the deficit.
We already saved the republic… last year on election day.
Should have known I'd find a dog hater on this list…
Let me add — canceling the F22 Raptor program and the plan to provide them to Japan.
What!!!! Must be common knowledge that the anti Christ likes a good tan. Paul, I mean this in the nicest possible way when I say, you are one of the losers in life's lottery.
You do know that the Chamber of Commerce is a right wing organization…
#7 closing Guantanamo Bay
Only in the depth of your twisted logic.
It's going to be a fun ride Dave. Remember George W. Bush? Well, you know what they say about paybacks…
That too was done at the request of the Pentagon. Surely they are not traitors too.
Energy is national security, and your failure to realize that (probably for an oil and coal paycheck) makes you unqualified to criticize people who are trying to develop a comprehensive policy that will free us from the tyranny of foreign oil.
HeHeHeHe if the socialists in this country would let us drill baby drill, you point sir we would be free from the tyranny of foreign oil…
The stimulus bill is the difference between a recession and a depression. And as much as you would love to see it fail, it is doing exactly what it was designed to do. No one is spending or lending right now. Take the stimulus out of the picture and you will see another generational depression. Even Republicans don't want that.
This country has dominated the planet ecomonically for the last 1oo years based on on an unfettered freemarket sysrtem, this is historically undeniable.
Are we blaming swine flu on the president?
You think you are going to sweep the congressional elections by running against health care? Unlikely. You need to hope the economy gets worse and people blame the policies of Obama.
I believe I read ALL the coverage on that matter and this is the first mention I've seen of the idea that the Pentagon wanted to cancel either the F22 OR the F22 provision to Japan.
What's your source?
Probably not. If there are any good people left in the Republican party they have yet to show themselves. Most are standing around trying to obstruct the president and hoping for failure. There are no leaders on the right… only followers.
Did someone ask you to make up a nonsensical sentence and end it with a smiley? If they did all I can say is, well done.
All white house dogs are for show. This is not some new evil scheme that was designed to trick the American people. People love dogs and love presidents who love dogs. So if you make it to the white house, go get you a dog.
He shouldn't hold hands with an Arab oil sheik like a little girl either.
Then we would be Iran. That is what they are doing right now.
#7 After Iranian elections fraud, and while brave iranians were dying on the streets Obama missed the best opportunity to overthrow the tiranny abandoning them and saying publicly "he respects Iranian sovereignty"
Who is all of Obama's propaganda working on? I voted for him so I don't count, and it obviously hasn't worked on you. So who?
So, in your America, I have to go to school, pass a test and have an address to vote. Who gets to administer this test? You? Could you put aside your obvious right wing bias and do it fairly, or is the idea to weed out everyone who thinks differently.
Obama's a total idiot? He graduated from Harvard Law, learned to spell history, and was elected president of the United States. What have you done…
great!
By horse trading you are talking about political compromise. It's the heart of our democracy and the problem is that is not that it works too well. The problem is it is not working at all. Health care would have been a much better bill if Republicans hadn't folded up their tent and decided to vote as a bloc.
The vast majority of Democrats are not socialists. They are capitalists who realize that only well regulated markets provide investors with the confidence to make the system work. Technically even Medicare is not a socialist program because they do not provide health care services. The socialist health care delivery system is the VA. Gov owns the hospitals and employs the docs and other health care specialists.
I guess if you rule out all the people who voted for BO and all the people who were too smart to vote for him, then nobody.
Bill!!! You're back… good to hear from you.
My mind is not as strong as it once was, but my agenda is hardly a secret. I oppose the right wing agenda of the teabaggers because I believe they are wrong for America. I don't know how I could have been any clearer.
Keynes was right, it was the trickle down economic theory of Ronald Reagan that failed so miserably. We tried it your way… we deregulated the financial markets, deregulated the banks, killed the depression era safeguards of Glass Stegall and let the market punish the bad actors. It took less than eight years for the markets to melt down. At some point there must be accountability and the American people held Republicans accountable in 2006 and 2008. Now if Obama is wrong, he will be held accountable in 2012.
I'm not threatening anybody. Are you?
Spoken like a leftwing parasite. The Chamber of Commerce represents small business owners; democrat-independent-republican business owners, not "rightwing" interests you babbling fool.
Are you dense? [rhetorical question]. Obviously you don't understand how propaganda works.
Obama's a total idiot? He graduated from Harvard Law,
Why won't he release he grades? We know why gore and kerry procrastinated on releasing their transcripts, turns out President Bush had a higher GPA. If it weren't for affirmative action Hussein would be a congressional valet. And anti-Bush hysteria, along with ACORN corruption, got this neophyte into the White House. Sarah Palin's accomplishments and resume dwarf that of Hussein who's been nothing but a parasite his entire adult life.
I spent 25 years in the Air Force flying cargo and bomber aircraft. I worked procurement issues as late as 1998 and there was a huge internal struggle inside the Pentagon over post cold war era weapons systems like the F-22 and F-23. When the cost overruns became three and four times their original projections, the aircraft lost much of its support among war planners.
Last summer General Jim Cartwright (vice chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff) put the final nail in the F-22 coffin when he testified to congress that the Pentagon wants a cheaper, multi-roll joint fighter like the F-35 and additional electronic warfare capability. The air battlefield is changing, and while there is a roll for a superb aircraft like the F-22, its cost makes it unsustainable.
ok, gm got bailed out BFD. do you know how long the govt. bailed out chrysler, with that crap head iaccccockhead at the helm?
Deregulated the banks? Check you hiistory my friend, it was the Community Reinvestment Act I und Carten and the Community Reinvestment Act II under the Clinton administration that twisted the arm of the banks to start making bad loans. The Federal Researve has benn in the business of creating bubbles for the their globalist masters to pop and abscond with hard working American workers money since 1929.
Nice try friend.
The president has a electoral mandate and is doing exactly what he said he would do during the campaign.
You're delusional you fool. You must work for this incompetent admin. The public is overwhelmingly against nationalizing healthcare and this jugeared clown and the liberal misfits in congress couldn't care less. These little tyrants will do as they please. By the way moron, Hussein's approval ratings collapse is "unprecedented."
What, you mean like how he would drive out the lobbyists, reform earmarks, close Gitmo, not raise taxes on the middle class, change the business as usual atmosphere, let us keep our health insurance, not back a mandate, not back a public option, put stimulus money in circulation immediately, keep pork out of the stimulus, keep unemployment below 8%, go line by line and cut the waste, give 3/5 days to read the bills, bring the troops home, not escalate the conflicts, eliminate capital gains on small business, work on bipartisan tort reform, stop favoring corporate agribusiness over family farms, renegotiate NAFTA, heal the sick, and raise the dead.
I can't even remember every promise he's broken. I'd need an encyclopedia just to keep up with every one of his lies, half-truth, or utterances of spin.
Obama didn't even get 53% of the vote, despite having nearly three quarters of a billion dollars in campaign cash (vs McCain's public financing), an army of ACORN brownshirts on the ground, 96% of the black vote in an election that "wasn't about race", the mainstream media bowing at his feet, every corrupt crony capitalist and globalist working behind the scenes, an opponent who didn't rally his base, all in an election that was a referendum against a very unpopular president.
The GOP had just shot itself in the foot after eight years of mismanagement, bigger government, ballooning deficits, pork spending, and business as usual, and here you stand, seriously suggesting that Obama has a mandate.
He doesn't.
Besides, this isn't Venezuela. In America, the president doesn't govern by fiat.
Oh the irony coming from a goose-stepping socialist eunuch whose party is running around in hysterics over the weather.
That's another right wing talking point. It's just wrong. You did, however spout it with authority… don't let things like facts throw you off message.
This whole administration is for show, dog included.
It's called Hope you braindead ignoramus.
Yeah, I saw that on Fox News this evening too. It's all crap. Presidents words have impact, and Obama has to be careful not to commit the United States to another un-winnable war when we still haven't won the two wars we are currently fighting.
It is the brave Iranians job to fight for their country, not ours.
Administration.
As in the presidential administration of Barack H. Obama, forty-fourth President of the United States of America.
Was the context really that hard to grasp?
Fox earns its keep by being contrarian now, just as the MSM earned its keep being contrarian during the Bush years.
It's tough stuff to grasp, I know, but I understand the plight of the public schools and can give you a pass for what surely isn't your fault.
You are wrong my right wing friend. The chamber of commerce is no friend of progressives.
And obviously you are one angry little internet troll…
Has little to do with being scared, more like absolute disgust that the media and idiot libs like you managed to get this clueless empty suit into a position to spread his twisted ideals. Sooner or later even you will come to find that he is less about your issues and concerns and all about HIMSELF.
My comment about the "NWO angle" was to leave open to the reader's interpretation the meaning of Murdoch's association with the CFR, the Bilderberg Group, and the various kingpins of globalism.
I generally avoid anything relating to the term "NWO" because, as a writer, I have found that term to ambiguously refer to both the people and organization indicted by the conspiracy theories, to the actual theories themselves. The people, groups, and associations are factual, whereas the allegation are, as yet, unproven, and in the usual, over-the-top incarnation, probably far from the truth. I was simply throwing Murdoch's associations out there so each reader can decide whether he's of a different cloth, or of the same group of elites with his difference from them being the appetite of his customers.
As a second point, yes, the public has been dumbed down.
As a third point, television is too "dumb" of a medium for intelligent political discourse.
I would expect the average American to do what it takes to find the truth, seeing as this is his country, and as he probably hopes, the country of his children. The issues are of such importance that simple inconvenience should not be a barrier to finding the truth, obscured behind a cloud of sound bytes, entertainment news, and least-common-denominator talking points.
Joe Six Pack should care enough about America to find the truth, even if it means giving up his petty distractions and blissful ignorance.
You're too stupid to understand what's good for you. Progressives are parasites that need to feed off the private sector so it's in your best interest my dimwitted friend to make sure the private sector is vibrant and healthy.
I am wrong? You? Are telling me i am wrong? funny
By the way here is another thing you are wrong about Mike a tolla
Regan was a proponet of supply side economics which historically and undinably worked.
Keynesian Economics is "An economic theory stating that active government intervention in the marketplace and monetary policy is the best method of ensuring economic growth and stability."
That is the economic philosophy Carter tried, he was a one term president wasent he mik a tolla?
Why should he release his grades? You have no right to them, and you are only looking for something evil to say about him anyway, so I don't see the motivation to do anything for you.
Haven't seen a lot of convictions from all the ACORN corruption… Now Republican corruption, that has landed quite a few folks in jail.
I don't suffer fools gladly.
Political accomplishments are hard and they involve change… people fear change, so his poll numbers will take a short term hit… they will bounce back. It's not like he started an unnecessary war or let 1000 Americans drown in New Orleans. Those are the kind of failures you can't come back from.
Listen to you. You are scared to death and make my point.
You really can't have a discussion without the name calling can you Satan… can I call you Satan?
If that were true you wouldn't be so angry. That is the measuring stick I use to gauge progress. If the right wing bloggers are tied up in knots, then Obama is on the right track.
Idiotchild, people don't want change which is damaging not beneficial. Unlike you most Americans aren't delusional and don't want the same incompetents that run the DMV and "cash for cluckers" to run our healthcare. During the Third Reich there were Germans just like you telling people not to fear the "change."
Sorry, I'm a victim of 12 years of Catholic school… Sister Leonella and Sister Katherine taught me everything I know.
By horse trading, I was speaking of the unsavory process by which members of both parties vote party lines on issues raised by others so that others will do the same for their pet causes.
That has nothing to do with compromise. Such behavior is nothing more than mutual rubber stamping of corruption. Compromise involves finding middle ground and shifting positions, not trading votes for votes and earmarks.
Each party cast bloc votes in the health care debate, with the Democratic bloc only forming once chamber leaders started passing out the pork – or in more direct terms, passing bribes with public money.
The vast majority of Democrats are socialists, as they genuinely espouse the usual mantras of wealth redistribution, need having a priority claim over right, the supremacy of the state over the individual, the idea that everyone belongs to everyone else, and so forth, and so on.
The core principles are all in line. Inclusion of token markets doesn't make one not a socialist. By your standard, the Soviet Union would be capitalist, since the thriving Beryozka chain sold Western goods for hard currency to the party apparatchiks who did their banking at the Chase Manhattan branch at One Karl Marx Square.
That's another right wing talking point. It's just wrong. You did, however spout it with authority… don't let things like facts throw you off message.
Wow. Nice bit of projection you have there, Polly.
I'm starting to wonder what percentage of the comments on this thread are from you, 1/5? 1/4?
A veritable flurry of little one or two sentence squawkings of the party line.
Obstructing Obama can be compared to firemen trying to stop an arsonist with a lighter and a can of gasoline. How many times in history can people try these failed socialist pipe dreams and delude themselves into the fantasy that the others just did not do it right. You are right on one score though. Many of the republicans whose hands are as dirty as the stinking dems and behaved just like them for the last eight years. What we want are people who say what they stand for and have their actions match their words.
That's a stereotype that bloggers like to pretend is true. The truth is Democrats are capitalists just like you.
When Poland started rebelling against the Soviet Union, Ronald Reagan spoke out in support of them. He never committed a single service member to fight for the Poles, but he did speak out for them.
The Poles still admire him for doing that.
Keep squawking in a valiant effort to never see the point, parrot.
This has to be a parody troll. Few liberals are this stupid. Maybe it's obama.
That's right just keep repeating your mantra, hoping doesn't make it so.
I wholeheartedly agree with number one. The list however in reality is much, much longer. You'd have to go through day by day since his inauguration to complete the list. So the lists would need to be in the hundreds. And this is only his first year. My God what will he do to us next year?
Oh, you mean Ronald (deficits don't matter) Reagan? He gave us the savings and loan debacle (which we are still paying on) and Iran Contra. His legacy was deficits that expand during growth periods and an economic philosophy that resulted in meltdown.
Bush was a supply sider…. What happened?
Well, you are doing it this evening and I appreciate you for it.
typical lib answer, always looking for a hand out. Were you one of those in line in Detroit waiting for the obama gubbermint money
Well said…
More like a terrorist throwing a hand grenade into the American tent…
The most effective and easiest means to repeal the most heinous of these laws is quite simple…
The Congress, the Federal bureaucracy, and the Administration MUST live under the laws they pass for others…like us…
Make one of these patrician partisan political hacks wait for any type of health care of any type…right next to the profusely snotty-nosed 2 1/2 year old, and a geriatric 88 year old with incontinence issues, packed into a cattle-car health clinic waiting room…and they'll be on the floor of the Congress the next day repealing it…
Mik your back! I thought I lost you. LOL
There was little risk for Reagan. He knew that the Communists were starving for hard currency and about to default on their debt. They were rotting from within.
6. The auto industry has become a classic rent-seeking ward of the state, and a tool to channel equity to campaign contributors by wiping out judicial precedent in wiping out senior secured creditors. An industry which cannot produce net wealth without massive subsidies borrowed from China is not a source of wealth. Such an industry is a boondoggle.
5. Energy is national security, which is why patriots have been trying to develop domestic energy for decades, only to be shot down at every turn by the radical left. Instead of domestic energy, the same amount of drilling takes place in the Middle East, where it finances totalitarian sheiks and contributes to terror, instead of providing good American jobs. The greens took nuclear off the table, despite the unparalleled record of safety among the older plants, and a new generation of plants that has been specifically engineered such that meltdown is physically impossible. The People's Republic of France generates 70% of its electricity from nuclear, yet our left-wing obstructionists continue to disagree.
4. The stimulus bill is hiding the difference between a recession and depression by hammering the national credit card to paper over the growing cracks. The government is using new borrowing to goose up consumption, as well as new borrowing to pay off old borrowing. At best, its as reckless as a family living large off credit cards. At worst, its a Ponzi scheme that will destroy American prosperity and our status as an economic superpower, forever.
3. Medicare is a bankrupt Ponzi scheme completely lacking Constitutional basis, which manages to unsustainably pay benefits in a manner which drives up costs on an unsustainable basis, with a greater percentage of denied claims, as well as waste, fraud, and abuse, as compared to the public sector. Health care is not a public utility by any academic definition of the term, as health care can be provisioned on an individual basis, with the marginal costs of adding an individual being roughly the average cost of that individual. The fire department is a collective good that cannot be individually provisioned.
2. The American justice system is designed to hold common criminals accountable for common crimes. It was not designed to handle foreign terrorists who openly declare their guilt and wish for execution from using it as a stage to continue spewing jihadist hate as their partners in murder are given another highly visible target to disrupt.
1. Missile defense has been full of wasteful spending, just as every other endeavor of Congress. Obama has used "re-prioritized" as a euphemism actually meaning "so low as to effectively be never." The real story is the dismantling of our nuclear edge, but that story was buried beneath the missile defense controversy.
Not me… I'm a capitalist. When I make money everybody makes money.
I was mocking your simplistic understanding of monetary policy.
Obviously I don't agree with most of this, but it is well thought out and I appreciate the work…
TGS, he doesn't get it…
If this economy was roaring along and the coffers were full, he'd still complain…all that statist "exploitation" crap…
So, let him be bereft of either money or opportunity…at least I have a reloading press, and can sell rounds for the coming anarchy…
Obama beat McCain by 7 points, a landslide by presidential elections in the past 20 years. Bush lost the popular vote and claimed a mandate and then went about enacting his neocon agenda. Why should Obama not spend his political capital….
mik.. the chamber is about business.. they give money to whom ever will achieve that goal. left? right? it is about money!.
about small business? I don't think so.. It actions speak louder for big business.
they take chambers money just as fast.
I've enjoyed the discourse and pretty much agree with you anoymous except I feel you are a not able to reach "Joe". Been a pleasure tho…
at least I have a reloading press, and can sell rounds for the coming anarchy…
I hope Big Government readers get a discount.
The big problem with the F-22 program was the extra jets inserted by the Congressmen whose districts built the F-22s, and senior Defense appropriators (such as John Murtha).
The program itself was useful, however it was hijacked to include planes above and beyond what the Pentagon requested as little more than a pork barrel project to create make-work jobs in the right districts.
This program, like many others, served a useful purpose until it was tainted by the appropriators.
The issue is not one of left vs. right, or Democrat vs. Republican, as both wings are equally guilty. The issue is between everyone who works for an honest, productive living, and the Congressmen of both parties who dole out borrowed money to buy votes, using whatever programs can be hijacked for such a purpose.
It is a damn shame they use the military to channel pork, as it decreases operational readiness above and beyond the loss of taxpayer money caused by the pork itself.
They just did the exact same thing with the C-17s.
http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/09_4...
"Bond, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), and 16 colleagues began circulating a letter in April urging members of the Senate Appropriations Committee to keep funding the plane despite clearly stated objections from the White House and Pentagon. In California, C-17 production employs 5,000 workers at a final assembly plant in Long Beach."
That is shameless hypocrisy at its finest. Boxer is just about as liberal and anti-war as anyone in the Senate, but can't seem to give up the defense pork due to the 5000 jobs among her constituents.
they were? The president is the leader of all the people even those he runs and hides from. Some president who rewards special groups and ask hard working people to pay for it all. Most of the tea people are poor working and lower middle class people. not the rich and famous they know they can buy their way out of it.
I'll see what I can do…
What's your caliber…?
PS: Just because I'm a firm believer in "Be Prepared", it certainly wouldn't hurt everyone who enjoys the "sporting" use of firearms, to acquire the skills in learning to reload ammunition…it certainly is a useful skill, and if everything really goes south completely, it will be one in extremely high demand…
I would offer to you that people who currently do not vote changing their tune and actually doing so would overwhelm the gerrymandering action that goes on….by a long shot.
As for obeying the law, far too many obey a law and justify a law by saying it is a law. This kind of circular reasoning has gotten out of hand and contributes to the pickle this country is in today.
One Congress' hands are not tied by another.
Americans have already been paying for decades, this will continue until people wise up and actually value their Liberty, and their vote, as much as or more than today's hard leftists (and hard rightees) value controlling other people's actions via big brother government.
Blame the President, blame the Congress, blame the system, blame this that and the other all day long, but when it comes down to it, We The People are actually to blame,….for we not only allow it to continue, some among us actually revel in the governmental control over others and seek to augment that very thing.
There are few things more sacred to a republic than representation. The one man one vote and all it’s citizens are represented equally promise. Why isn’t voter fraud hounded out of existence? Voter fraud is a direct assault on our republic, it can kill a nation. There is nothing more fraudulent than gerrymandering and it’s creation of an artificial majority based on party affiliation not representation to silence the dissention of we the people. It is one of the reason our congress does not listen to we the people. Gerrymandering is a creation of the government parties to protect their power and to turn representation into re-election.. The parties can not speak of freedom until districts are based on representation not party affiliation.
What's your caliber…?
I actually prefer to use rope and a bullwhip; a blowtorch if necessary.
what about ignoring most of his campaign promises like having no lobbyists in his cabinet or having bills online for 5 days before they are voted on etc…
Now that is easy under the communist system. Everyone works long days, no time off, kids go to work early, we live on top of each other from the largess to the government. We give everything to the gvt and it in exchange allows us to have one kid per family, an apartment for us the kid and the grandparents. Then we can sell our goods dirt cheap to the world like china did. And in 30 or 40 years we will wake up and consider a market oriented economy again with a government that will pretend to allow us some freedom. It worked great for Russia, China, Cuba on and on. Isn't life grand.
The only problem we know it failed as a system so why the heck are we willing to try it. Will someone please tell us how to end this stupid dream.

Lucky for him, the Federal Reserve can create as much money as it pleases, all with carbon-free electronic bookkeeping.
So what if the Fed is exposed a total of $23.7 trillion dollars, is not transparent, is not audited, and has destroyed 96% of the dollar's value since the Fed's creation in 1913? Long-term economic health has never been a consideration of his administration.
Bush & Cheney, thankfully, do have protection. But, yes, I am deeply concerned about the others as well. Sent from my iPhone
I think you need to add the Interpol power over US Citizens announced in his recent Executive Decision as a definite Treasonable action.
The man has gone against the Constitution so many times in his administration. Why on earth can't he be impeached? Is conress that wimpy? Oh, wait….yes, they are.
FOR STARTERS, OBUMMER IS TOTALLY IN OVER HIS HEAD! The best thing he could do for the country is to RESIGN! His saul alinsky CRAP may have worked in Chicago where we all know corruption reigns supreme. Were any of the ignorant sheep that voted for obummer using their brain when they voted for him? How could anyone think a community organizer from the most corrupt city in America would be qualified to lead our great nation? The best thing obummer and his cohorts could do is to RESIGN! As Joe Biden himself said, this job isn't for on the job training. TOO LATE NOW! OneBigAssMistakeAmerica!
Oh, He has spent his political capitol. His political capitol is running about $1 trillion defiect. Look at the plumeting poll numbers of the "moderates"
No I don't. Tell us exactly what you mean.
/sarc OMG I had no idea there was a"Bingo Crisis" What next? \\ sarc
If you believe that, you are an idiot.
If you have any of that worthless money you want to get rid of just send it along and I'll put it to good use.
although i do not like the mans policy's i wish him no harm
we conservatives should not stoop to the lefts level
as they were during Bushes time in office
Dude, just asking a question, but why are you so obsessed with a sexual act involving male genitals? A person so singularly focused on male testicles such as yourself is saying A LOT about themselves don’t you think?
[...] Obama’s 6 Worst Policy Decisions [...]
Dude, mikatollah, why do you hate Homosexual Men (and some Heterosexual Men) so much with your hate speech? You do realize that the term that you use is a sexual orientation hate speech epitaph used by close minded people who hate homosexual (and for that matter heterosexual men) who engage in such conduct? Why are you so hateful?
This list is kinda reminiscent of our Declaration of Independence . . . when a long train of abuses – - -
the thing is if a conservative used the term in a demeaning way like that there would be complaints, protests, boycotts, threats to family members etc. ironic coming from the peaceful tolerant left isnt it reminds one of the religion of peace.
I was wondering that myself, but figured it was some Hollywood reference I'd never heard of.
the messiah does look ready to cast some offender into the lake of fire doesn't he
That's a whole lot better than a bunch of sideburn kissing!
Foreign leaders shake hands Western style when in DC. When in Rome…..is part of protocol, but when my President (ugh!!) bows to foreign leaders he has demeaned the office, the United States and himself all at the same time.
THAT comment proves you're an idiot.
Ok. So where was it taken? He looks like an evil crybaby.
The chamber has taken conservative positions on national issues like health care reform and climate change. Perhaps more out of concern for economics than ideology, but it's a distinction without a difference.
They weren't mocked by the president. They were mocked by people like me who see them as unthinking hot heads susceptible to emotional prodding by professional right wing marketers paid by the insurance industry to influence public opinion. They walked around with signs depicting the first minority president as a Nazi and got worked up about non issues like death panels and abortion funding. Then their handlers at Fox News would come on TV in the evening and exaggerate their numbers to make them appear like there is some kind of anti reform consensus. There is not…
The Eastern Seaborg is the Washington contingent of the Borg.
It is futile to resist. Assimilate.
I find it disingenuous when conservatives talk to me about budget deficits after ignoring them for 8 years. Republicans fought two wars on credit and off the books using "emergency funding" to avoid political consequences for their favorite past time. Obama insisted they be counted in the budget and now you point to the "new" deficits and the teabaggers believe you.
The other issue of course is the economy Obama inherited. Much of that deficit is the stimulus which is the only thing standing between us and a depression. The federal government is the only thing standing between states defaulting and 25 percent unemployment. It is foolish to demand a balanced budget in the middle of a recession.
Like all recent deficits we will be able to grow our way out of most of this once economic confidence is restored. But we can't get weak kneed now.
I didn't name them that, but I think it is funny that they did… have you seen these people? We could have just as easily called them douche bags, but that wouldn't be fair…. to douche bags!
You are obviously lost little boy … you'd better get back over to kos or du before they put your picture on a milk carton.
So you are killing terror suspects in your custody…. probably shouldn't admit it in a right wing blog.
The Democratic congress never had to overcome a presidential veto. It is always the president who frames the budget and submits it to congress. If he doesn't like what congress does to it he can veto it and list his objections. Once he accepts it, it belongs to him.
I love that look of a six year old that has just been told NO.
As I recall, Chrysler paid back the government loan guarantees early… in just a couple of years, with money generated by the success of minivans and K-cars.
You are getting worked up over a whole lot of nothing. The important part comes after the formal greetings. American men are not use to kissing other men on the cheek, hand holding and bowing and it makes us uncomfortable. We do it to try and forge relationships with people who may be able to advance our national interest. American women don't like to cover their heads in public, but it is the same for them when they try and deal with foreign cultures.
Hardly. It proves nothing. It shows that I pay attention.
Don't know. But I'm sure this photo was selected by Mr. Teabagger here because it is unflattering and hostile.
He all have bad days, and when a president has a bad day it is part of the public record.
No, it's right wing hatred. Evil, mean spirited teabagging hatred.
Why am I lost…. because I can't be intimidated by a bunch of teabaggers? Tweaking you people is holiday fun for me.
The way to take on an opposition troll like myself on your blog is to engage him on issues. Very few of you are willing or able to do that without landing back on your right wing talking points. Name calling and invitations to leave says more about you than it does about me. Hats off to Anonymous… one of the few here that appears to have given these issues much thought past the company line.
It usually takes about 3 generations, upon an immigrants arrival to America to assimilate into our Christian Republic. Other races take a longer time, while others should be outright denied any public office (OT Bible Law)
You missed the point. All cold-blooded animals sun themselves.
Karl Marx & Adolph Hitler were not idiots either, right?
After he was elected I started to keep a list of what he was doing or not doing….I gave up on that as it is a sickening reminder of a Socialist taking us up to the next level, which is Communism….We need to really get out of the physical plane of this war and move up to the Spiritual Plane where this type of war started.
Some Bible Commands are: Occupy till I come! Resist the devil and he will flee from you!
Keynes, a British economist told our President that it is good to be debt (to who? them?) and we really owe ourselves…So, now we're in debt with interest to a Private Banking Community….
And, Keynes forgot to tell us, that any debt that haave interest charges, technically can ;not be paid back….Reason: No currency or credit is issued or in circulation to pay the interest portion of the debt.
The real travesty was the American voter. Those who voted for the Agitator in Chief to allieve their 'racial guilt' are your typical politically correct lemmings, (those buffoons, while ill-informed, are dangerous enough). However, those who voted this Communist into office were clearly looking for the 'Transformation of America' are the radicals that need exposing. Those who think these will be the most egregious of decisions may be short-sighted in their reasoning, however, I believe the American Patriot will rise again and stamp out this dismantling of the American way!
Why has Mr Obama spent approx. $1-1/2 Million to avoid showing an authentic Birth Certificate….?
Ok little man, keep up with your drivel and name calling. Your credibility is sinking faster than your IQ. By the way, your are the one who called yourself an opposition troll.
Of course a leftist would assume that. You have no clue. I was pointing out how stupid it is to apply civil law to combat. When the bullets stop flying we treat their wounded & MEDIVAC them , like always. We go by the Rules of Land Warfare. Which is humane. Because we are Americans. Progressives supported the U.N. Oil for Food. Which funded rape rooms and people being fed into wood chippers. I hope the democrat congress doesn't betray the Iraq people the way the did South Viet Nam resulting in the boat people.
Ohhhhh…. now I see. Good one.
And for sooo many more reasons that that … Come on it was proven in 1989, you lose, get a life.
LOL
So you think Obama compares to Hitler? He is hardly a genocidal megalomaniac. That is a poor comparison that only serves to dumb down the language. The only thing in the American experience that comes close to the horrors of Hitler was maybe the depopulating of Haiti by Christopher Columbus. It is estimated that 3 million of them died in one generation.
I could be wrong. I don't have a right wing conspiratorial brain so I can't see a lot of the "death panel" possibilities that teabaggers see.
Guilty as charged… and you are guilty of making my point. Thanks for that.
Yes, it is very real. And shockingly, it is getting virtually NO coverage by Big Government, RedState, Fox News, or any other outlet we can rely on. The single most tyrannical act ever undertaken in U.S. history, and no one is even mentioning it. Why Breitbart or Erickson or Hannity or Rush or anyone isn't screaming from the rooftops over this is beyond me. Forget Obamacare or cap & tax or anything else…those are just distractions while we are delivered bound and gagged to global government dictators, and our Constitution is rendered irrelevant without so much as a single shot getting fired. Thankfully, some other conservative blogs are starting to realize the enormous impact of this and perhaps shed some disinfecting light on this. More than anything else Obama has done, THIS MUST BE OVERTURNED….everything else is mere child's play. As always with BHO, watch what he's doing with the OTHER hand, not the one he wants you to see.
All I have to go on is your words, and you are now singing a different, more humane tune. I called you out on your right wing tough guy nonsense and now you are walking it back. For that I am grateful as I refuse to believe we are represented by homicidal maniacs.
The congress is an extension of the will of the people. And when we decide there is nothing to be gained by staying in dung holes like Afghanistan we will leave. History has proven that the people were right to get out of Vietnam.
Actually, about the only comforting fact behind everything BHO is doing is that with the right leadership, ALL of it could be undone in a single afternoon. That's not me talking. That was the respected opinion of some leading economists. It is up to US to make sure that leadership is in place. The damage that BHO is doing internationally to the U.S. reputation is going to take longer to repair.
That is actually not a bad idea. John Thune ran against Tom Daschle to be the senator of a state that has about 700,000 people. To raise cash for the campaigns both flew off to California for fund raisers and came back with millions of dollars. Perfectly legal, but you have to wonder how all that out of state money distorts the will of the people of South Dakota.
The only thing of which I am guilty is spending time arguing with a moron.
I enjoy reloading shot shell myself. But I sure don't see my sporting rounds ever influencing public policy.
Mr. Obama has proven himself to be just like all other politicians. A Liar.
The beauty of our republic is that we are not a religious theocracy like Iran. Christians may not like it, but it is real life in the reality based world. Still, it requires vigilance. Bush tried as hard as he could to theocratize the republic but we stopped him, or at least his un-American ideas stopped him.
want world do you live in? sounds like maybe 2 junior college 101 eco classes.or is Rachel meadow your hero?
I feel your pain brother… high five!
You don't have a list! You are parroting the lies and distortions of some right wing web site. You have redefined the word socialism to make it include everyone that disagrees with your world view, and in the process made it useless to describe socialism.
Well done…
you can't recall yesterday. the govt. bought dodge vehicles for 9 years exclusively, what what do you call that? now your mommy said for you to have some warm milk and take a nap……….
I do love me some Rachel.
is miky another scott?
Debt on its own is not necessarily a bad thing. It provides the elasticity business needs to operate and government needs to manage the economy. But there are limits, and Bush and Reagan pushed those limits when they engaged in deficit spending while the economy was expanding.
I think is was Dick Cheney who famously said that deficits don't matter. Well, they do. But the budget cannot be balanced independently of the economy. We will see Obama reign in spending when the economy begins to grow on its own. That too is part of Keynesian economics.
Still here Bill… lurking in the left wing.
Sorry, you mentioned Iaccoca so I assumed we were talking about Jimmy Carter's bailout of Chrysler.
I do love a good nap…
His birth certificate is posted online. You can see it here at factcheck.org:

I can lead you to the fountain of knowledge, but you have to drink for yourself.
By the way, Government Motors sales are declining at 3 times the rate of the industry as a whole. Hoover would be proud.
Unlike the purely leftist political tyrant Obama, Herbert Hoover was an excellent business manager as a mining engineer. His governing ideas as President were inadequate, but he would not have been proud of acquiring – no, seizing – a failing business. And he wouldn't have simply handed ownership to his political cronies as Obama did – such a move was recognizeably crooked in the 1930s, and still is.
I do tend to squawk… but I also will post something more in depth if I believe the comment warrants it. If you are interested click on my moniker. If not, well, have a Happy New Year (he squawked).
So what was the reason Hoover was ill equipped to handle an economic emergency? It is precisely because he refused to use government as a spender of last resort. So when banks stopped lending, businesses stopped hiring and people stopped spending the economy ground to a halt and he had no tools to get it moving.
Roosevelt was able to get things moving a bit with the levers of government, but he faced massive resistance from the conservatives of his day. And when he succumbed to the pressure to reel in spending in 1937 we saw the economy contract again and unemployment numbers rise. It took the greatest government spending program in the history of the world (WWII) to get us out of the grips of the great depression.
Obama understands the lessons of history.
53 percent of American voters voted for Obama. We can't all be communists.
…or can we?
Only quitters like the governor of Alaska resign when the going gets tough. The best thing Obama can do for the country is stay the course and tune out the knuckleheads who never voted for him in the first place and would like nothing more than to see him (and the country) fail.
You're funny… do you truly believe that the knucklehead who botched his big chance to kill Americans knows anything about Al Qaeda's future plans? I don't either. But if you waterboard him I'm sure he will say anything you want him to say.
And with that intel you will have gained absolutely nothing. Remember, it's not what you know that counts, it's what you know that ain't so….
A thriving middle class, responsive government and well regulated capital markets are not just a dream, they are the American dream.
And the dream will never die.
Long term economic health is exactly his goal. A world depression could destroy $50 trillion in wealth and lost opportunity, and damage another generation the way my grandparents were damaged in the 1930s.
The Fed was created to provide the elasticity banks needed to avoid the devastating boom and bust cycles that were typical of the late 19th century. The results have been mixed and I've been critical of Fed policy that transfers wealth away from the middle class, but overall I think it has helped restore confidence and contain inflation.
If Bush and Cheney are guilty of war crimes they will answer for them. Perhaps not in a court of law, but their crimes cannot remain a secret indefinitely in a free society. History will not judge them kindly.
As for crimes committed by military personnel, the trials at Nuremberg taught us that "just following orders" is not a defense against war crimes.
If there was an award for "most paranoid", this post would take the gold. Competition is stiff on this blog, but I'll give you style points for linking us to a blog that calls Ann Coulter "irreplaceable". Call me Mr. Softy, but I get all warm inside when knuckleheads quote whack jobs.
you really have no clue do you ? those hitler obama posters at 9/12 were from clinton supporters not tea partiers . la roche . wake up look around you before its too late . obama is just an empty suit just like all the others before him , we are all for health care reform just not what they want to give us . http://www.leftcoastrebel.com/2009/08/origin-of-n...
Refuse to obey Obama. I will take a Koran on the airplane — an infidel cannot touch it, so an infidel flight attendant cannot take it away from me. I will call the ACLU and sue and win like the Imans with the seatbelt extenders. I will not sit with my hands on my knees for the last hour of any flight … international or domestic.
The Nigerian Muslim terrorist should be waterboarded to learn what the next terroist attack will be!
Well here is your chance to put up or shut up and list all of Obama's impeachable offenses here:
No need to rebel while we still have majority rule in this country. Write your congressman, joint a teabagging group and elect someone else if you don't like Obama. That… is the American way.
You do realize that the reason you lost power was due to an election, don't you? No one is rounding you up and sucking out your brains. Come up with some new ideas and put them out there in 2010 and the voters will let you know if you are worthy.
The only poll that counts for policy formulation is the one conducted on election day. I think it was the great historic leader GW Bush who famously said that elections have consequences…
Welcome to the consequences.
To his speach right after april15.. in speach to bunch hypocrit democrats HE MOCKED HARD WORKING AMERICANS..END OF STORY.. We were not promoted or helped by any group.. it was all us.. talking to people.. one on one. we put a million in washington with no help from the elitist…
"Obama understands the lessons of history. "
Sure Mao, Lenin, Trotsky, Marx, Alinsky, and Stern
it is true chamber was looking to dump cost on working people. I don't like the chamber but stick to what they did.
Sorry pal… not buying it.
I watch Fox News and I don't recall the coordinated effort from the left to label Obama a Nazi. I have seen it from the right, as recently as today on this blog. You can't blame Clinton for the teabaggers.
Clearly it is love and admiration that leads you to continue using the insulting term, 'Teabagger' as you profess your hatred. Does the term 'cognative dissonance' ever occur to you as you display your own hatred by calling your politcal opposites hateful, spiteful names instead of addressing a single issue on the merits?
Do you find that this behaviour endears you to others?
You are confusing insults with hate speech… google it.
You don't like the truth.
In defense of legislators, both left and right, it is their primary job to represent their constituencies. It is the president's job to make the hard decisions based on national defense and not regional priorities. So in that sense, the system is working as it was designed to do.
Democracy can be inefficient, and it is always expensive. But it's way better than the other alternatives.
Disingenuous how? The only disingenuity here is your sweeping generalization of all conservatives as being Bush supporters in lockstep with every one of his policies.
A leader who runs up piles of questionable, unnecessary, or unproductive debt is not a fiscal conservative. The fiscal conservatives were concerned about the Bush deficits, however, the Republican party was not being run by fiscal conservatives.
"Republican" is not interchangeable with "conservative."
If Washington is to be fixed, this mantra of "Its okay when I do it, because your side did it too" must go.
You might be assuming that the American voter sets the agenda for policy on election day. And assuming that is true we might take Health Care Reform as a prime example. Congress is hellbent on ramming this unconstitutional legislation right down the throats of the free market system. Where's the democracy in that? This Marxist in the White House gives two shits about health care, it's amazing his ego still fits between those oversized ears. As for Bush, the only thing I laud him for is protecting this country from those RagHead IslamoFacists who are giddy about killing in the name of Relgion.
I don't usually latch on to insulting monikers, but I have no respect for the methods of the people who have lined up to fight health care reform and climate initiatives. They are harmful to my country and I resent it.
I have to confess, I have fun with it… watching people squirm, when I know they don't like it but they don't want to talk about it. Probably the same joy people on the right get when they talk about the "Democrat Party". It's ugly, but it's fair.
Not a lot of truth floating around on this list. Mostly right wing spin and outright deception.
Your perception of Obama's intent in a speech is just one opinion. It is not a fact.
Right wing? I support no party or agenda. I hate republicans/democrats with a passion. Only the wealth benifit from this agenda BO is putting out not working people for we will pay for it all.. The chosen ones will buy their way out as they always do.. You seem to be supporting the party crap which has destroyed our country.
Well then we finally agree on something (sort of). Conservatives lost control of the Republican party years ago when the religious right and the neocons moved in and took over. They formed an electoral majority with big business and southern racists and formed what we now call the Republican party.
Gone is the party of Barry Goldwater and Howard Baker. The real conservatives now form the right wing of the Democratic party. Republicans could easily win them back but have chosen instead to embrace the likes of teabaggers and birthers, and single wedge issue voters.
When I do run into a real conservative I make a distinction between them and what today passes for conservative. You are a case in point as I have singled you out as someone more pragmatic than the average right wing blogger.
Tht is an outstanding idea. Andrew? "Big Education"? That's the breeding ground of this socialist garbage. All of Obama shadow cabinet are academic zealots.
Calling A.B. – calling A.B.!!
Dude, mikatollah, you really can't be this mentally incompetent, ignorant, challenged and dysfunctional can you? You are kidding me right? You really broke out the Pre-school rationalization for poor behavior of, "He started it." Here is your bi-conditional: If you did not name somebody with a racially, sexually, sexual orientation, gender, religiously, etc… offensive slur and you think that calling that individual that offensive slur is funny, then it is acceptable to call that person that offensive slur. Dude, I don't even need to define the converse, inverse, and contrapositive to know that your logic is invalid. Using your logic Neo-Nazis can call a Jewish individual a money grubbing rat because they think it is funny and they did not name them that offensive slur. Using your logic the Grand Wizard of the Ku-Klux-Klan can call an Arab a ra$head and an African American the N word because they think it is funny and they did not name them that offensive slur. Using your logic a misogynist can call a woman the C word or the B word because they think it is funny and they did not name them that offensive slur. Using your logic a child abuser can call his children worthless pieces of sh&t because they think it is funny and they did not name them that offensive slur. Is that what you really think dude? It is never right mikatollah, never. Dude, mikatollah, get help. You are sick and troubled and it shows. Check yourself.
Now Bar, stop sounding all reasonable and rational on me now. It ruins my fun… so stop it!
But seriously, political parties are simply a vehicle to move an agenda forward and filter potential candidates. There are only two major parties so we will never agree with every position a party takes, so we divide up based on the big ideas.
I believe the real threat to freedom is not representative government, but the international corporate interests that don't answer to anyone but a small group of shareholders. If we don't like our congressman we can vote for the other guy, but when corporations engage in deception and monopolistic practices, the only power that can contain them is a strong central government. Someone to act as a referee and enforce standards and promote confidence in the markets. No one is going to invest their money if they think the game is rigged against them.
My number one political issue is economic fairness. Fiscal policy can promote fairness and help maintain a strong middle class, or it can cave to the special interests and work for the good of the few. That is why I'm a Democrat. Today we see both parties engaging in both, but the Dems appear to be a bit more on the side of working people.
Voter fraud can be a huge issue but the way it is wielded today it is more of a wedge issue. If there was truly wide scale voter fraud going on we would see indictments and convictions, but we don't. We see one side holding on to it like a drowning man clinging to a float, all out of proportion to its actual impact on our political system. From where I sit, there is less voter fraud today than there has been in any time in our history. George W. Bush had control of the justice system for eight years and even rigged it to root out real and perceived voter fraud… he left office with almost nothing to show for the effort.
I am right there with you when it comes to gerrymandering… and I don't care who is doing it. It cheapens representative government. Where I live here in Texas we watched Tom Delay give Republicans control of the state house by redistricting for the second time in two years. My own 19th congressional district looks like a kindergarten scribble picture. Here it is the doing of the Republicans… I'm sure the Dems do the same thing in states like New Jersey. It should be non partisan.
The Tea Partiers didn't "name themselves" that offensive term, a term which none of them, nor most people ever heard of nor knew what it meant, once ANDERSON COOPER called them that, derogatorily.
You never had a history class, I guess, that referenced THE BOSTON TEA PARTY; from whence is the origin of the name of the Tea Party Movement.
Does everything make you "think" of sex acts/sexually connected items?
That's not true at all !
Only Clinton and now Obama got a dog FOR SHOW, which they had no interest in and would never have had, given a choice.
All other presidents had had pet dogs for years prior to being elected president and brought the family pet/s with them.
we need take this debate to another heading it took 30 minutes before this section allowed me to respond.
If it was a two party system, but in fact it is one party rule on the district level.. Belong to the wrong party or no party your words mean nothing.. As long as gerrymandering and the election process remains the same we are doomed to slavery.. Almost every state in the union is in trouble because both parties have been doing the pay for play game.. People don’t see taxes and regulations as pieces of your life being wasted to enrich some special interest.
You're that ignorant, are you ?
Those charged, at the Nuremberg Trials, weren't just "regular" soldiers and there were never trials of presidents, kings, high level advisers, of THE WINNING SIDE, after any war.
So tell me, did President Bush and VEEP Cheney invade, bomb, and/or begin, in any way at all, this war on terrorists? Did either or both of them, make a first strike on embassies, sky scrappers, government buildings, ships belonging to al Qaeda or the Taliban ? NO? Oh well………………………..
There were no such trials, BTW, after WW I, our Civil War, the War of 1812, the Spanish American War, Korea, or Nam.
Slick Willie, OTOH, had an aspirin factory and sent a bomb through a tent at a deserted al Qaeda camp. Is he a "war criminal" ?
Overturned? Only if we survive as a solvent country could not happen and I do not see enough of the right people in America to overturn what has been lost! Without firing a shot as promised in the U.N. in 1962!
I have to agree, or the "situation" that allows the constitution to be broken everyday would have never occurred!
Insults are not arguments. Just thought I'd clear that up for you.
What about the SEIU that wants to do to the world what ACORN did to us! Unions are not exactly the "New" organized crime scene, you know! They have been deceiving people over 100 years with their Marxist Propaganda! It's all being organized to bring about the "New World Order" under Lucifer! "He you will believe!"
Isn't that exactly what is going on now, but on a much bigger scale?
Now to be fair, I did qualify my statement with "in the past 20 years".
As long as the country remains divided as we are now, any victory in national elections over two or three points is going to be huge.
Of course I know what they want people to believe. That is why you never let your opponents define you…. as the teabaggers have…
If you want 2010 to occur, you'll just love 2011 when 1929 and the 30's will look like it was a picnic!
Really? If only that were true. Let's take a look at the first dog in the Bush administration. Remember Barney? A quick trip out to the "Barney" website shows that he was born in late September 2000. So he would have been weened and ready for his new home around December 1st. Now what happened between Sep and Dec in 2000. Oh yeah, Bush won the election! If Bush owned another dog he never made the cut when they made the move to the white house. So much for your theory…
Halleluyah! Ashrak, could not be said better!
Lot's of people think that their bosses are idiots and that they could do a better job at running the company themselves. They have all sorts of big ideas that, given the chance, they would implement to fix everything. The truth is in reality that they have neither the business know how or necessary experience. Just like often happens when a son takes over running a business from their father, they run it into the ground while aggressively pushing their own agenda in the belief they can do better job. In the end the business is destroyed because they fail to focus on the core values that made the business thrive in the first place. Obama is doing the exact same thing to this country. He is so focused on pushing his progressive, socialist agenda, believing it will fix everything, that he has forsaken the core values that made America the great country that it is.
Not much to disagree with here.
On a presidential level, the electoral college system prevents a third party from ever taking hold. Historically they have acted as spoilers for one party or the other in close elections. If a third party did garner lots of EC votes it would prevent any candidate from reaching 270 and the House would wind up selecting our presidents. That seemed like a good idea to our founding fathers, but I think it feels a bit undemocratic to most modern Americans.
As for local elections, very few congressional districts are competitive anymore for the reasons that you have outlined. In my home town we are run by Republicans except for "nonpartisan" races for board of education and city council.
I think we agree that Bush and Cheney will never face a court of law, precisely because they (mostly) won the war
We were not attacking terrorists in Iraq. We executed a preemptive strike on a country that had not attacked us or our allies. That was the Bush doctrine and it grew out of whole cloth from the terror attack on 911. Problem was, the terrorists didn't live there. So don't confuse the war on terror with Iraq. Even Bush knew he as screwed when he couldn't find any evidence of nukes after the invasion. His "reason" for attacking Iraq just melted away.
Actually, you are wrong about the Civil War (what a shock). I don't remember his name, but the Confederate major who commanded one of the prisoner of war camps was tried and convicted. You can google it.
I echo that premis…sensible! The one thing we do know about the
Organizer in Chief is that he has no experience in running anything…..especially a business, he has produced nothing in his short career. The ineptness of his economic prowess points that out on a grand scale. No one with any econmic sense would ascribe to his policies.
Closing Gitmo is designed to let the ACLU put the U.S. on trial. Just watch the headlines for the next few years. As always the anti-american left will try to cripple any defence we have. Military,CIA,NSA etc.
I am currently on my second deployment. When we 'Mirandize' them, they remain silent. really, really silent
They appear to be arguments on this blog. Either that or I am truly an ignorant communist socialist, who is also uneducated. And I probably hate America and I'm not concerned for my children. Those are just from the last few minutes.
A Democrat congress managed to increase spending even faster than the tax cuts increased revenue.
But still only now you find the voice to complain… hypocrisy.
Oh dear…you do need help with reading comprehension, you poor thing.
I said no "regular soldier" was tried at the Nuremberg Trials. But in case you are ignorant of the facts, the new thing that Obama has signed onto, allows a "world court" to try any and all participants; ergo even down to a lowly grunt and/or the person who cooks the meals and does no fighting or anything else.
That hasn't EVER happened, in modern and even in not so modern times.
Iraq……………………………………………….al Qaeda was/is there; look it up. So even though we went in there for many different other reasons, there was that as well. Oh, and FYI…………….Saddam
violated the peace accords, of the Gulf War, many times over, not to mention 17 UN resolutions, before we went in there. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? Well, when one party to a peace/truce document reneges, that means that it is null and void and the parties are, once again……….. at war. And no, no declaration of war must be committed, again, just the acceptance of the breakage of said treaty/pact.
It was YELLOW CAKE, not "nukes"; any weapons of "mass destruction, which everyone, everyone all over the world, except for lefties, who never want to go to war against anyone, except the U.S.A., believed that Saddam had!
yeaah Obama got alot of respect in return from the Chinese in Copenhagen when they totally dissed him and didnt even invite him to mettings that Obama ended up barging into like a fool that he is. If you think bowing is ok maybe it says more about you, peace thru strength, not peace thru weakness like the moron libs think
I believe Obama earnestly cares about health care reform, because I care. And it is not out of some pie-eyed liberal quest for fairness, its because my daughter just graduated from college into the worst economy in 50 years and can't find a job yet that carries health benefits. And since she is 23 now she is no longer qualified to be covered under my insurance. So I have to ask myself, why is health care in this country dependent on employment? Well, I know why it is, but should it be. I think the answer is no.
As for the argument that it is unconstitutional, conservatives made the exact same arguments when Medicare was created, but it will not stand up in court. I've no doubt the insurance industry will shift the debate from the legislature to the courts when reform is enacted, but they will lose there too.
As far as Bush protecting us from terrorists goes, he could have done a more effective job at it if we had just spent a fraction of the money spent on the Iraq war fixing our security problems at home. The terrorists were never in Iraq, but we see this week that they can still reach us in Michigan. A couple billion spent on intelligence and enforcing the no fly lists would go a long way.
Son taking over for the father and running the business into the ground… you mean George W. Bush?
You might have been able to make that argument a year ago, but he has had 12 months of OJT in the only job that can prepare you to be president…. the presidency. The learning curve is stiff and he's been drinking from a fire hose, but I expect he will get smoother as time goes on. He has already brought us to the verge of accomplishing health care reform, and that will cement his place in history the moment the bill is passed into law.
Better to go back to the, "but he's a communist muslim socialist" argument. It makes more sense.
Come on now Red, that's just sour grapes. Obama won over 350 electoral votes and the outcome was never in question after the end of September.
Ahhh you got me FP… well done.
I suspect you are right, but a guy has got to have some fun. I could go hang out at Huffington Post with a bunch of wild eyed libs but where's the fun in that?… falling all over ourselves agreeing with one another. Boring…
Folks here get a bit testy from time to time, but you can't ever deny they are sincere.
Happy New Years to you and yours.
Okay, you've established your credentials as someone who, under the right circumstances, can be civil. So come on over to Eternity Road and argue with us. As long as you remain civil, and argue sincerely and fairly for your point of view, I promise not to cut you off.
One of the most damnable problems of this BLEEP!ing country is that we no longer talk to one another; we just hurl imprecations and insults. I'm personally opposed to that. Hell, I'm death on that. So drop on by and represent your point of view — capably and logically, with facts and reasoning — and I promise you'll get at least as good as you give.
you believe global warming, thats crazy, did you believe in hoax and chains too?
whats uncivil about a handshake? its what We do in America, unfortunately Obamas our representative, i expect him to represent me and who we are. Obamas bowing made him and us look obsequeous and weak.
My eyesight is not what is once was, but my comprehension is a good as it's ever going to get.
We are signatories to the Geneva convention and as such are prohibited from committing war crimes. The terrorists don't enter into treaties and will do whatever they want. We hold ourselves to a higher standard. At least we do now…
Al Qaeda was not in Iraq prior to our invasion. When order broke down in that country they were able to sneak in. Saddam would have never tolerated radicals in his country that did not answer to him. He would have had them killed.
As for Nigerian yellowcake, that myth has been debunked so many times that it is hardly worth repeating here. Suffice to say that it is in the interest of those attempting to manufacture a legacy for George W. Bush that Iraq was conspiring to get nuclear material from Africa. Otherwise he is just another war criminal attacking another country without provocation.
As for lefties wanting war with the U.S…. well, you are starting to believe your own propaganda.
What's to tell… he got on an airplane with an incendiary device and was caught red handed. Send him up for 30 years.
As for interrogating him, what do you think he knows that will be of value to us now? He is a knucklehead and it is unlikely he knows anything more than the minimum he had to know to try and get on an airplane and blow it up.
If we water board him he will tell us anything we want to hear. More useless info.
Maybe it is not showing up on the radar of sane people because the terror exists only in the child like brain of the right wing teabagger. A brain so poisoned by ideology it sees danger everywhere and is convinced they are all out to get us!
Be very very afraid.
Sounds like fun FP and I would like that. But, like every good, henpecked liberal I have to go make dinner for the little woman.
I know, who would have thought that one who types so bold could be cowed by someone half his size. Well, it's a fact of life I've just come to accept. Thanks for the invite….later.
"Don't let the horn rims fool you…stand beside me when you measure my size." — David Bromberg, Demon in Disguise
Bring your A game, champ. We have some firepower.
yeah in the history of the earth the temperature has never gone up or down. Its just been one constant average tempetature for about 12 billion years and now all of a sudden the temperature went up a little bit. so lets return to hunter gatherer societies. Man cant make the temperature go up or down, we dont have the power of nature.
Before the Bushes got Barney, they had a dog named Spot, the son of his mother's dog Millie. No fuss was made over Spotty, by the MSM, as was made over Barney. Spot died at the age of 15, in '03. So wipe that smirk off your face and eat cold crow ! The Bushes also had three cats, but only took one to the White House with them.
You should tell the whole truth, not just the "facts" that you want to twist into knots, in an attempt to prove your biased spew.
FDR's dog wasn't for show, neither was the menagerie that TR had in the White House.
Washington started the tradition, which frankly I find a stupid one. Not everyone likes dogs or wants a pet/s. It is really only rather recently, that having a White House dog has become "critical" to the idiotic populace, spurred on by the MSM.
Nixon, Ford, and many other presidents ( I was talking about ALL of them ) had always had pets and just brought them with them; not for show!
Truman never had a dog until he was given one, didn't want it, tried to give it away and was inundated with angry letters over it. He did get rid of it; so he wasn't a hypocrite.
Mik says "The learning curve is stiff and he's been drinking from a fire hose, but I expect he will get smoother as time goes on. He has already brought us to the verge of accomplishing health care reform, and that will cement his place in history the moment the bill is passed into law."
Your are right he has already managed make Jimmy Carter look like a Nuclear Physicist.
So why run out and get Barney? My guess is that Spot never made it to the white house, which would explain why we never saw him on cable news. Could be that Spot lived at the newly purchased "ranch" here in Crawford, TX.
My point stands. Presidents dogs make their approval ratings go up because Americans love dogs. How do you trust someone who doesn't like dogs? It's good for their image.
Mik we have been sharing a friendly rivalry about your home boy Barry, after reading your posts I can now see you are not such a bad guy and are sincere. By the way I have a daughter about the that age in the same boat so to speak, also from Michigan. I am well aware of the economic conditions in Michigan I certainly empathize with your situation. I wish I could say you are right about Obama and share your optimism. I would like to think he is on the right path. I swear I would. But i gotta tell ya the way things are going I am not very optimistic for my kids future. Nothing would pease me more than to turn out to be completly wrong…
W was given it as a present.
Spot was an old dog, 12 or 13 when the Bushes moved into the White House and I do believe that he was there at the beginning, for a bit.
One of the Bush cats was there, from the beginning, but I bet you didn't know that. I did.
Not all Americans "love dogs" and that doesn't make them any less trustworthy than people who love dogs.
Checkers didn't make all Americans love Nixon and his approval ratings, the first year of his first term, were far better than Obama's.
LBJ's dogs didn't help him any and as a matter of fact, how he traeted those doghs ( picking them up by the ears ) hurt LBJ.
Your whole theory has crumbled; all it took was a few facts.
seriously doubt that 53% are still on-board with this Administration. The "feel-good" politics and rhetoric of the campaign rings rather hollow these days.
Really so I guess we should round up the thousands of Left Wing Marxists who wished death to Bush and send them to the camps right? Get real wingnut…
Threats on the life of a president are always taken seriously regardless of who the man is, and regardless of his party affiliation. I have come across several questionable remarks on right wing blogs that could be taken as threats, so I point them out just to let these guys know they are not invisible.
If you came across someone threatening Bush I hope you spoke up.
I'm not completely without my doubts about the president and his ability to deal with the economic problems we face. But once he got the stimulus through congress I figured that he was all in and willing to bet his presidency on the course of action he selected. So I'm all in too. His fortune (and ours) will rise and fall with his ability to get the economy moving and unemployment under control.
There are some things I wish he would do differently, like the wide swings we see between him being on TV everyday, to his being aloof. and seemingly unavailable. I didn't care for Bush's secretiveness, but he did seem to have a better hold on his message and that is important when you are trying to convey your vision to people that are sick and tired of being sick and tired. And sometimes the conflicting messages coming from the white house make it appear as if there is some confusion at the top. My hope is that this is part of the learning curve we spoke of earlier and that he becomes more efficient over time.
For the sake of all our sons and daughters, I hope I'm right too.
I guess I could be all of those things, but it hasn't disqualified me from having an opinion… yet.
Yeah, it is pretty funny. I gave up long ago trying to reason with the far right wing in this country, so now I mock them. But don't start feeling too sorry for them. They do like to return the favor and as long as no one is moved to violence it can be fun.
What is it with you people and the Nazis? You don't have a constitutional right not to be ridiculed. And my disrespect of teabaggers has noting to do with hate speech. I'm not here to intimidate anyone or deny them their rights of free speech. I just hold the mirror up and let them see how I view them and it can be uncomfortable.
I have not picked out any particular race or religion to pick on… I'm an equal opportunity mocker. Far as I know, stupid is not a protected class. I try not to make it too personal. But I know that if you stood out there with teabags dangling from your hat you are going to be offended. Well, if that is the case, then you are my target audience and are not going to like what I have to say.
man u
So put the kids to bed and join in… or don't. I don't care. Just know that the ideas that the teabaggers represent are poison to America and I will never miss an opportunity to discredit them, and those who want to force them on us.
Seven points does not a "landslide" make.
Reagan won by a LANDSLIDE; as did Nixon.
The misuse of words appears to be your mietre; mikatollah.
Okay…………………..I'll give you the qualifier; however, not the rest of it !
Reagan and Nixon didn't win their LANDSLIDES ( and they both had them ! ) through fraud, but Obama did win, by a lousy 7 points; in part
Without unions our society would look like Mexico or Brazil with a few rich people, a small business class, and a lot of poor people just barely managing to make a living. It was unions that carved out the middle class in this country by demanding a living wage for their labor, and in the process raised the wages of non union shops that were force to compete for the best labor.
The only thing that compels companies today to pay middle class wages is a union or the threat of a union. The history of America is the class struggle between labor and management.
"They appear to be arguments on this blog. Either that or I am truly an ignorant communist socialist…"
Why not both? But seriously:
1) insults are not arguments, no matter who emits them or why; and:
2) I refuse to accept the blame for anyone else's peccadilloes.
If you want to resent someone for slagging you off, you might prefer someone who actually has slagged you off.
May the joy of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Redeemer of Mankind, be yours throughout the coming year.
Obama's 6 Best Policy Decisions.
1) Ummm…..
2) Hmmm…..
3) Uhhhhh…..
4) Scratch my head…..
5) Scratch my ass…..
6) Ahhhh…..forget it!!
The Chicoms had their own climate agenda at Copenhagen, which is to keep on polluting and the rest of the world can stuff it. They were ducking Obama because they did not want to face him and have to explain the indefensible position they have taken while the globe heats up.
I'm all about peace through strength. I sent 11 years of my life freezing in the Dakotas on nuclear alert. I am intimately familiar with the sacrifices our folks in uniform make to persuade the bad guys to think it through before they make a move they can't recover from.
But what I'm talking about is real power… you are getting worked up over the fact that our president is civil to competing world leaders. That is why he's president and you and I are bloggers.
Climate change is not something you get to choose not to believe in like god or the devil. It's a scientific theory that is backed by 100 years of science. It's kind of like evolution, you may try and deny it, but your denial doesn't make all those fossils and genetic science go away.
6 worst- so far. Gird yer loins- this clown is just getting started.
Obama is proof that we need higher standards for registering people to vote in this country.
mik… i was there i saw and spoke to these people. The left purposely has tried to sabatoge this movement.. The republicans are trying to steal this movement..
Rationalize, rationalize, rationalize offensive behavior. Ignore the facts presented in the debate. You are so predictable. These actions DEFINE you mikatollah. This is how you are viewed. So according to you, anybody who enters into an intellectual debate must "man u"… and "put the kids to bed and join in." Why are you so sexist? Why do you hate women so much? Why can't women enter into the debate? You are the worst debater ever! You have been defined sir. You are closed minded, sexist, bigoted, prejudiced. Mikatollah, you agree in principal with the KKK, Neo-Nazi's, misogynists, and child abusers because to call somebody an offensive racial, religious, gender, sexual orientation, political, etc… slur is an attempt to marginalize that person and thus an attempt to silence and intimidate them. When President Obama and the third in line to the president Speaker of the House Pelosi use this term repeatedly it is used by extremely and obviously powerful individuals to silence and marginalize the very people who they claim to represent as leaders of this great nation.
In my opinion, people on this list are far more predisposed to accept what they hear from right wing sources on faith. Faith and submission to authority are a much larger part of their lives than someone like myself, and they are more comfortable jumping on information from a trusted source. What is it that Rush calls his followers… dittoheads? No self-respecting liberal/progressive would accept that kind of demeaning labeling.
Well, there are plenty of proud dittoheads here. That being said, we are all susceptible to believing what we want to hear and must guard against placing too much faith in trusted sources, especially those with known political agendas.
Sounds like I've struck a nerve. Good. You people need to be exposed to opinions outside of the ideological bubble you live in. I never threaten, yet you feel threatened by me and my ideas. You know how outrageous the public behavior of the teabaggers is, but you condone it because they are ideologically pure. Then you get offended by those of us who won't show you respect.
Teabaggers need to be marginalized and defeated. Go to a rally and look around you and tell me how many blacks and Hispanics and gays you see. Probably close to zero. Then you come on this list and say I hate gays, or women or whatever… that is called projection. You feel guilty because you only associate with people who look and think like you. It's not a crime, but it is bad when one of you gets elected and tries to make your prejudices into public policy.
You're confused. A teababber is right wing ideologue who shows up at hate rallies with tea bags dangling from their headgear.
You would have felt right at home with the Stasi.
Tell us: if you came across someone threatening Bush (there were thousands), did you speak up?
Personally I hope Obama dies. Of natural causes. See, that's not a threat, just a fervent prayer for divine mercy on America.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAA!
As if! Liberalism is nothing but hate. Hate is what gets you up out of bed. Hate is your mother's milk, your morning coffee, your bedtime drink, your midnight snack. A liberal must hate unceasingly like a shark must swim unceasingly. There is nothing behind liberalism save the desire for revenge, coercion, domination, theft and tyranny.
"the people who have lined up to fight health care reform and climate initiatives. They are harmful to my country and I resent it."
No, they are trying to save your country from thieves and maniacs.
"the stimulus which is the only thing standing between us and a depression. The federal government is the only thing standing between states defaulting and 25 percent unemployment."
You actually believe that? You are utterly, completely detached from reality.
No, I never saw anyone threaten Bush. And I never wished him dead either.
PLEASE, DEAR SIR, LIST AND NAME THE CRIMES AND OFFENSES THE PROTESTORS OF PRESIDENT OBAMA HAVE COMMITTED!!!! NAME THEM!!! WHAT ARE THESE OUTRAGEOUS PUBLIC BEHAVIORS THAT YOU SPEAK OF?!!! These protestors are practicing the same non-violent methods of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Ghandi, etc. Where these mens public protests outrageous as you suggest? Why do you hate African Americans and Indians so much? Using your bi-conditional of projection, then that must also apply to you and your agreement mikatollah in principal with the KKK, Neo-Nazi's, misogynists, and child abusers. You are the worst debater in history! Address the facts with facts instead of opinions and myths. Stop with the Dr. Phil pop psychology!
The hate I'm seeing is coming from the teabaggers. I always expect them to break out in tears when they start yelling at town hall meetings. And they really get angry when you talk back to them.
But it warms my heart to see them get all sideways and spit starts shooting out of their mouths. It means Obama is on the right track.
I don't say things that I don't believe. I also believe that had John McCain won the election he would be doing the same thing. He would throw in a few tax break goodies for his handlers, but he would have gone to congress and asked for stimulus money. George Bush too.
Republicans who are responsible for governing don't have the luxury of ideological purity… they leave that to the bloggers.
What scares me is that he still has people, in this nation, that actually say they approve when polled.
Even allowing for the 5% each that respectively make a mistake, or don't really understand what approve means.
Are you talking about the famous liberal Klansman favorite segregationist President Woodrow Wilson?
If you are trying to say that Woodrow was a rabid hatemonger and racist then I am right there with you Dots. But you do realize that he was not a progressive… he was from Virginia during the post reconstruction period when southern Democrats rules their states like small countries and enforced Jim Crow laws with the penalty of death. Back then a lot of blacks were Republicans, not because the Republicans were so great for them, it's just the Dems were poison.
Then a funny thing happened in the mid 1960s. Progressive Republicans led by progressive Democrats managed to pass civil rights legislation over the filibuster of southern Democrats like Strom Thurmond. Black people responded to LBJ by voting Democratic. So where do you think all of those racist southern Dems landed?
There was a sea change as progressives moved to the Democrats and conservatives moved to the Republican party. Now I'm certainly not old enough to remember this while it was happening, but it is all the history books.
So whenever I hear a Republican claim credit for civil rights or point to bad behavior by old time Democrats, I like to remind them that the split has always been ideological between conservatives and liberal progressives. The party affiliation has shifted back and forth over the years.
Opinion may just be another term for belief. A belief you cannot sway because it is rooted internally and has no dependence upon fact. A belief (or opinion) is based in the same manor as faith – where you do not need to have any fact established to embrace it.
Whether we like it or not, a proven fact is undeniable. Much of what we are forced to deal with these days falls into the category of opinion or belief and has no bearing on facts. That, in itself, is a progressive's utopia because there is no fact to establish in the first place. Right wing, left wing, uber either side — the spin most often has nothing to do with a fact, but is solely rooted in a belief where it is unfortunately immune to factual persuasion.
Clunkers… the cash was for your clunker. I don't think they have ever paid out for your clucker, but it was funny… good one.
Once again, you are wrong, proving that you are the worst debater in history. I suggest that you buck up on your history knowledge, particularly concerning the early 20th century politics of the United States before you rejoin the grown ups at the adults table. I can't decide wether you are mentally ignorant, incompetent, or dysfunctional. The jury is still out. But it is entertaining to see the great writings of Mikatollah say such wonderfully incorrect things such as "you do realize that he was not a progressive" in referencing Woodrow Wilson. Mikatollah, you do realize that every historian names Wilson and Teddy as the Progressives, don't you? but I digress. Arguing with you is like the Professor arguing with the Water Boy. Just look:
Dots: Now, is there anybody here that can tell me why most Progressive Era alligators are abnormally aggressive? Anyone? Yes sir, you sir.
Mikatollah: Mama says that Progressive Era alligators are ornery ‘cause they got all them teeth but no tooth brush.
Other student: … because they have an Enlarged Government medulla oblongata started by Teddy Roosevelt (Republican, Democrat, and then Bull-Moose) and Woodrow Wilson (Democrat). I even heard from Hilary Clinton about the Progressive Era in a debate. Even Historian Arthur Schlesinger wrote in “The Cycles in American History” that the children and political heirs of one progressive era would bring about another. The Progressive Era of Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson in the early 20th century gave way to retrenchment in the 1920s, but led to the New Deal/Fair Deal advances under Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry Truman that gave us Social Security and the Wagner Act recognizing the right of labor to bargain collectively.
Dots: That is correct. … Enlarged Government medulla, ob-lon-ga-ta! Now, is there anybody here that can tell me where Progressive Era happiness comes from? Anyone? Alright, let’s hear what Mama has to say on the subject.
Mikatollah: Mama say that Progressive Era happiness is from magic rays of sunshine that come down when you’re feeling blue.
Dots: Well, Mama’s wrong again.
Mikatollah: No Colonel Sanders, you’re wrong. Mama’s right.
Dots: Something’s wrong with Mikatollah's Enlarged Government medula oblongata!
The Dixiecrats were/are conservatives and Abraham Lincoln was a liberal.
thinly veiled hate!
They take (slight) care to not act (blatantly) racist. This is the "political correctness" of the right.
So the question I wonder is: Is a wolf in sheep's clothing better or worse than a clearly identifiable wolf?
Now dots, I try to engage you in a serious conversation and you launch puppet theater. Let's use our words… and try and make some sense.
Wilson had many accomplishments but race relations was not one of them. When he left office he was not particularly well thought of, and actually had his legacy rejuvenated two decades later during WWII in the media and popular culture. I'm sure that George W. Bush is hoping for some of that kind of treatment… when those of us who had to live through his administration have passed on and some author or filmmaker gives him some positive treatment.
When I think about Wilson, I think about his second term. During the war he pushed the Sedition Act through congress and as a result there were many real progressives who logged many years in prison for speaking out against the war. When he was asked to pardon them at the end of his second term he said, "Never". It was left to the next guy to pardon the war radicals. But if you consider the Fed and income tax legislation progressive, I guess there is a case to be made.
"All historians" don't agree on anything. And neither do you and I. What you think is funny I find a bit strange and a little sad.
Geez Dots… dial it down a notch. You're hurting my "ears".
I said their behavior was outrageous… not criminal. Their goal was to shout down the speaker and disrupt the meetings with questions for which they had no interest in an answer. I don't believe Gandhi ever shouted down his adversaries.
Here is a little secret I'm going to let you in on now… just between you and me. When you debate with a liberal and compare anything on the liberal agenda to Nazis, or the klan, you have lost the argument. Our secret goal is to make you sound foolish because that is the first indicator that you have lost perspective and are no longer relevant. Don't tell anyone about this, because they will take away my keys to the liberal clubhouse. Now gowidgod.
Cool picture. Do you like Lustbader or do you prefer the original? But I digress. W Bush was a liberal and a conservative but he is a Republican. Lincoln was a liberal and a conservative, but he was a Republican.
War on Terror = Civil War.
I think we can stipulate that war is mostly an area dominated by conservative leaning individuals.
Massive Government Spending of Bush = Massive Government Spending of Lincoln.
I think we can stipulate that government spending is mostly an area dominated by liberal leaning individuals.
Patriot Act = Suspension of Habeas Corpus.
I think we can stipulate that Big Government intrusion on civil liberties is mostly an area dominated by liberal leaning individuals (say hi to such leftist liberals such as Marx, Lenin, Stalin as Orwell commented on in Animal Farm and 1984).
Abraham Lincoln was neither a liberal nor a conservative because he was a little bit of both as he demonstrated in his actions, but what can't be disputed is that he was a Republican. The REPUBLICAN (TJ's Liberal Problem Solving Dem/Rep party does not count because Adam's Fed party was the conservative party at our countries birth) party is not the party with a history of slavery, segregation, etc. The DEMOCRATIC party holds claim to that terrible history (yes, going back to TJ's Liberal Problem Solving Dem/Rep party). Are you sure about your history dude? Shades of Grey dude, not black and white.
Poor mental dysfunctional Mikatollah.Engage with facts. Wilson = Progressive. All historians agree on this fact. Then there is you and your fantasy land. How can I engage a delusional and mentaly incompetent person who makes such ridiculous claims about President Woodrow Wilson such as: "you do realize that he was not a progressive." I do not have the magic remote control that controls your thoughts and actions, causing you to write such drivel. Those are your statements. I just meet absurdity with absurdity. At least mine is funny and historicaly factual and agreed upon by historians.
What I find sad and funny is how you give yourself a thumbs up for every comment you make. Is your ego that fragile dude? What is also funny is how you avoid any and all facts that are presented to you. Those of us who are scientists and who abide by the scientific method seek out reputable sources to reference our research about our question. The question presented is: Is Wilson classified as a Progressive? Any reputable and respected historian states that Teddy and Wilson were Progressives. Don't believe me, just ask Secretary of Sate Clinton about Progressives. Secretary of State Clinton's staff and she (employed by Obama) agrees with me on this fact as they were the ones who prepared her for the debates in which she made her statements about the Progressives, not you. I guess you are right, all historians don't agree on anything. By using this bi-conditional I see how you now agree with Ahmadinajad and the Holocaust Denying Historians. I should restate my bi-conditional. All historians who are respected and reputable in their fields classify Wilson and Teddy as Progressives. Good to know that you agree with Anti-Semite Holocaust Denying Historians Dude. Hope you and Ahmad have great conversations.
You need to look at the way this blog works. Each time you make a comment, it appears in the blog with a plus one. You cannot give yourself a thumbs up as the icon for your comments is not executable. You can only respond to the comments of others. I don't even bother with doing that. If I see a comment that is particularly interesting or stupid I will respond in writing.
You know Dots, this is the last time I'm going to respond to you… it's getting a little boring and you are starting to repeat your insults. So you stay classy and have a Happy New Year.
One final fact for you mentally dysfunctional mikatollah. You can't have darkness without light. Everything in this world is balanced by its opposite. Government is like Newton's 1st Law.
On one extreme there is a balanced force (an object at rest) and on the other extreme of government there is an unbalanced force (an object in motion). There are two total polar opposites to government. One extreme is no government/anarchy and the other extreme is total government/dictatorship. Extreme Right Wing Conservatives are individuals who find themselves leaning towards no government. Extreme Left Wing Liberals are individuals who find themselves leaning towards total government government. Theocracy, Monarchy, Communism and Fascism are forms of government that are found on the extreme of total government/dictatorship. These are facts, and unfortunately for you and your extreme left wing liberal leaning individuals you can not escape that truth. Total governments of Hitler, Stalin, Napolean, King George, King Louie, etc… are all cousins of the same political beliefs with the same goals and means to an end. Total governments are discriminatory, racist, religiously bigoted and prejudiced, etc. Total governments are the worst example of man's inherit faults. Extreme Left Wing Government Philosophies have brought the most evil to this world as their sole function is power. Good day to you as you defend extreme left wing liberal total government philosophies.
May be his "homeland", but not his birthplace.

mikatollah act of contrition…
I want to thank the nice folks on biggovernment.com for sharing their time and ideas with me for these past few weeks as I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I try and conduct myself with proper respect and a sence of humor, and not get drawn into flame wars that always seem to generate a life of their own.
I know I have offended many of you with my use of the term "teabagger". It seemed harmless at first when I believed this list was filled with knuckleheads. I justified it by telling myself and others that it's ok because others do it. But I was wrong. There are many good people here who love their country and are just as passionate about their politics as I.
So to all of you I give my heartfelt apology and hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive. I want to assure you that the word will never pass my lips again, either while blogging or in my personal life. The word is dead to me.
I'm not going anywhere and I look forward to future debates. And just a note, you are going to see this post several times because I am going to post it everywhere I find someone that I know I particularly offended.
mikatollah
From the above explanations, it is apparent that, contrary to common beliefs, the male reproductive system is also complex. And anomaly anywhere in the cycle of spermatogenesis, for example, could result in low quality sperm; unhealthy or non-motile sperm cells are incapable of fertilization. Also undescended testes (cryptorchidism), a relatively common condition, could negatively affect the quality of sperm a person produces. In serious cases, this condition can cause cancer of the testes.
