Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to Deliver Keynote Speech at CPAC 2012

by John Nolte

Obviously, the American Conservative Union (ACU) didn’t get the memo. After all, Governor Palin is irrelevant, donchaknow. At least that’s what the mainstream media told me, and the mainstream media never lies.

Was that the sound of Katie Couric’s head exploding I just heard … from the set of the old Geraldo show?

The other news is that this will be the Governor’s first ever appearance at the annual three-day DC gathering of thousands of grassroots conservatives from all over the country, and the timing couldn’t be better. ACU Chairman Al Cardenas sums up why perfectly in today’s announcement:

“Few national conservative leaders in America today energize and inspire our grassroots activists like Governor Sarah Palin. Her strong record of leadership, championing of our shared principles and magnetic personality have made Sarah Palin a hero to millions of conservatives across the country.”

It would be hard to argue that the Governor’s tireless championing of the Tea Party movement combined with her presence on the campaign trail didn’t have an energizing effect on the turnout that helped to deliver the GOP’s record gains in the crucial 2010 mid-terms. No one doubts that we’re going to need that energy again in 2012 — and then some. February 9 – 12 at CPAC is where so much will begin and Governor Palin is an excellent choice to close the conference and send the grassroots home fired up and ready to go to work.

Capitalist Confronts #OccupyLA

by Ari David

Something amazing happened at the Occupy LA rally the other night.  Who knew a capitalist would confront the people at the Occupy LA Rally.

Also funny to see that so many of the Occupy LA crowd would support Herman Cain for president. The even chanted “9-9-9!” Looks like Cain has crossover appeal that the GOP establishment has overlooked.

Chicagoans Overwhelmingly Vote to Ban Palin, Beck & Coulter Books at Book Fair in Obama’s Home Town

by Rebel Pundit

In June we attended the Printer’s Row Literature Festival in Chicago. City blocks were closed off for tents and booths full of all types of literature. We presented a board with a selection of well known book covers and asked visitors of the event if they could choose to ban any of the books on the board, which if any, they would in fact ban. They were allowed to choose any three of the eleven choices.

The authors of the books we offered to ban were Glenn BeckSarah PalinAnn CoulterAndrew BreitbartAyn RandMichael Savage, Bill Clinton, Michael Moore, Karl Marx, Adolf Hitler and Barack Obama. While there were in fact less than two handfuls of individuals who did tell us they don’t think any books should be banned, unfortunately there were a shocking amount of guests at this book fair who were quite open to the idea, and in fact lined up quite excited for the opportunity to voice their opinion.

Participants overwhelming chose Sarah Palin who received 53 votes putting her at 36% overall, Glenn Beck at 23% and Ann Coulter at 22%.

Chicago Police Superintendent Goes on Racial Rant, Slams NRA and Palin at Radical Church

by Rebel Pundit

Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy was filmed speaking at Saint Sabina’s Catholic Church in June just a few weeks after being appointed by newly elected Mayor Rahm Emanuel. In the video, McCarthy states his comfort speaking to the “right audience” about his views. Could this be because outspoken radical activist Rev. Dr. Michael L. Pfleger is the Pastor of the Faith Community of Saint Sabina? Pfleger is known for his strong anti-gun views, outreach to prostitutes, anti-drug campaigns, and warm relationships with Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton and Jeremiah Wright. Pfleger has also sparked controversy with racially charged and sexist comments, and was just recently suspended by the Archdiocese of Chicago between April and May of this year.

McCarthy talks about himself and how he “lives a Forest Gump type of existence…. just floating around” where ever he goes, before going on to make some alarming statements. Some of the video highlights can be seen at these points in the footage after McCarthy gets a little excited about speaking on the pulpit.

(4:30) “There’s something about this pulpit here, ’cause I’m feeling strong!”

(5:02) “I’m gonna take a risk here, this is definitely the right audience…. everybody is afraid of race, I’m not afraid….”

(5:42) “…. In 2011 we are talking about gangs and guns and drugs and what we are going to do to fix it…. A big component of this has to due with race…. let’s see if we can make a connection here…. Slavery, segregation, black codes, Jim Crow…. What do they all have in common? Anybody getting scared? Government sponsored racism…. I told you I wasn’t afraid”

(7:28) “The NRA does not like me, and I’m okay with that! …. Who’s going to pay the price? Of the Gun manufacturers getting rich and living in gated communities?”

(7:53) He tells a homicide story, then blast’s Sarah Palin for talking about the right to bear arms while hunting Caribou and not being there at the scene of the crime with him.

And finally after this long winded slightly incoherent speech at (9:42), McCarthy hands back the live microphone to Pfleger, which picks up one last comment from McCarthy: “I’m gonna get in trouble.”

What would make Superintendent McCarthy think he is going to get into trouble? After all, he was in the “right” place, speaking to the “right” audience…. Wasn’t he?

CNN Poll: Punks Can Beat ‘Good Guys’

by Todd Feinburg

My talk radio co-host, Tom Finneran, is a former Speaker of the House in Massachusetts. He’s upbeat and outgoing – a bright and engaging city “kid” who joined the legislature in his twenties and came of age under the golden dome of the state house, mastering the dance of relationship and power.

When Tom is discussing someone of influence of whom he approves, I’ve observed an unconscious grading system in operation. Most anyone he served with in the legislature, for example, is affably referred to as being a “Good Guy.”

For Tom, of course, being a “Good Guy” is a badge of honor – an acknowledgement that the recipient operates with agility and guile in pursuing the People’s Business. Good Guys are mostly smart and hardworking in Tom’s experience, and are forced to suffer the indignities of media smears, unreasonable ethics scrutiny, and voters’ ignorance of how tough their jobs are.

Sometimes, Mr. Speaker, as Tom is still called by the loyal, likes a guy so much that he slips in a second “good,” as in, “Ah, that Joey Mac, he’s a good, good guy.” And, on rare occasions, there have been those who he deems to be (slowly, and with a smile) a “good, good, good guy.”

In my mind, and on the air, I’ve branded each “good” which Tom bestows upon a lucky recipient as symbolizing a year earned in the pen. I’m assuming the Good Guys have made unacceptable compromises to earn such hearty praise from one who rose to the top of a world defined by compromise.

MSM Uses Palin’s Own Children as Political Weapons Against Her

by John Nolte

In their ongoing crusade to target and silence decent, everyday Americans as racists, some in the MSM love to use the term “dog-whistle” in order to ascribe racial motives to words like, say, “basketball.” Well, lately I’ve been hearing a dog-whistle of my own — a dog-whistle of the journ-o-list variety that tells me that in their relentless campaign to destroy Sarah Palin and undercut her as a serious political force, the MSM is preparing to up the ante when it comes to using the Governor’s own family and children as a political weapon against her.

First, a little background…

Why the Media Whips Up the Palin-Fury

Watching the MSM react to Governor Palin over the last few years has been an illuminating crash course in Alinsky 101. Like elite, elbow-patched community organizers, the media collectively targets, polarizes, demonizes and intentionally creates a perpetual storm of personal drama around the Governor in the hopes of exhausting even those of us who support her. I call it whipping up the Palin-Fury.

This is a common tactic from the Left, but one we usually see played out in the streets with the idea being to so toxify the atmosphere that decent people give up the fight and go home just to get away from the awfulness of it all. The last few months of ugly and relentless pro-union protests in Wisconsin — though a failure for the left — were a textbook example of this. However, when it comes to Governor Palin, what we’re seeing is this tactic practiced by almost every so-called “objective” news outlet in America.

Palin Heads to Wisconsin Tea Party Rally, Left Already ‘Joking’ About Violence

by John Nolte

Before we get started, here’s a quick and important rundown of the hopelessly biased, corrupt-to-the-core media world in which we presently live…

A few dopes, most of them likely Leftist plants and Larouchers, show up at Tea Party rallies with a few dumb signs and it’s a national news story for months. No one from the Tea Party yells the N-word at a Capitol Hill ObamaCare protest and yet there’s a week-long media storm saying someone did — and nary a peep once it’s proved they didn’t. Someone commits a heinous mass murder in Tucson and the entire MSM Complex spends days blaming Sarah Palin because the suspected shooter never saw some campaign maps she was supposedly associated with once upon a time.

And yet, this can happen in Wisconsin and the national media all but ignores it and the local media all but says “you reap what you sow.” Oh, wait — that’s exactly what they said. And finally, this can happen to a Black man at the hands of union thugs and our precious media willfully looks the other way.

Tomorrow, former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin will speak at a Tea Party rally in Madison, Wisconsin. Unless you’ve been asleep for the past few months, you know that right now Madison is Ground Zero in the ongoing political battle to take our country back from corrupt public unions and the Democratic politicians corrupted by them. This battle represents the very heart of what the Tea Party is about, where the national spotlight should be, and yet I don’t see a long line of political types heading to my home state to take advantage of that spotlight.

Palin’s going, though, and so is the Wall Street Journal’s John Fund. And this is exactly where we should be going, and not just because this is where the heart of the fight for our country currently is, but also to make very clear to pro-union types that we will not be intimidated by their thuggishness.
