A 30-some minute 2006 documentary, “Quiet Revolution,” by the progressive Alliance for Justice, hosted by actor Bradley Whitford, decried the supposed Constitutional abuse by the Bush administration.  It was screened at the 2007 “Take Back America” conference, where the session description humorously notes an interview with a little known, apparently Irish, Senator “Barack O’bama.”

Remarkably, Cass Sunstein, now the regulatory czar a President O’bama, officially known as the head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, said the Bush administration and its like-minded justices on the Supreme Court (specifically Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia) are undermining the right to privacy.  By my count, that’s 2 on a court of nine justices.

Yes, the man that wants to “tax conspiracy theories,” put government-sponsored pop-ups on political blogs, and other Big Brothery things at one point was apparently concerned about the right to privacy.  Shows what a little power will do for you, I guess.  As Paul Joseph Watson wrote:

Essentially, Sunstein wants it to be written into law that the government can dictate the very nature of reality to Americans and that their opinions can only be voiced at best when accompanied by mandatory federal propaganda or at worst that Americans can be silenced entirely by federal decree.

All in the defense of the Constitution and the right to free speech, naturally.  And this man had the gall to criticize the Bush administration?

Knowing that the 111th Democrat-Progressive ruled Congress is indeed tyrannical in its endeavors to ram through ObamaCare, the Left continuously touts that the American people want this bill. Now, I have seen the polls and so have you, and so have the Democrats, including Obama, and they clearly know that they American people are vehemently against this healthcare takeover.

This leads me to my next point. I search through our Founder’s words in the Declaration of Independence. I’m searching for guidance, for the Founders must have known there would be tyranny lurking at every corner to deconstruct the nation that they had instituted. So many of us read the founding documents today, dusting them off, reading every word, clinging to every word. And there it is:

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. emphasis mine

What’s missing is the how. We have the Right. But, does it go further?  An obligation, perhaps? Do the Founders leave the door open to any effective means? The people have the Right to abolish an oppressive form of government. Because we do not consent, we have the Right to institute a new government–to abolish all that exists and start new. All the entitlements, bribes, kickbacks, deals, unfair taxation–everything.  They give Americans the Right, directive, and ability to dissolve the current tyrannical government.  They knew this would happen.  That is why they give us the “Right” to guard this great nation against future tyranny.

In addition, our Founders, as only Fathers could to, give us the directive in the Declaration of Independence:

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. emphasis mine

It is our duty to ”throw off such government.” Not optional.  An obligation.

These are interesting times. Under President Obama and the most liberal Congress since 1965, the United States government is expected to borrow a trillion dollars per year for the next decade while the size and power of our federal government will grow at the expense of our liberties.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has been known to employ attention-getting methods with everything from nude models protesting fur to activists throwing vegan custard pies in the face of Ronald McDonald in front of children. PETA describes its mission as ending the suffering of animals on “factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry.”  To that end, the group has used everything from engaging in agitprop to aiding the terrorist tactics of animal rights groups, as investigative reporters have charged.

Of late, the group that claims to be the “largest animal rights organization in the world” focuses efforts on behind-the-scenes strategies to fill coffers.  Their more recent endeavors exploit the pressure companies feel to display their “social responsibility.” 

At the same time, the non-profit engages in clever partnerships with companies whose competitors are targeted by PETA.  And often those who “partner” with PETA treat animals in a manner similar or identical to that which PETA claims is abusive when done by targeted companies.
