Michelle Obama’s Fake Black Obesity Concerns
by Sonja SchmidtThe recent rants of the leader of the New Black Panther Party, (“I hate white people! Every last iota of a cracker I hate….” ) couldn’t have been more amusing. That is before justifying the killing of some cracker children.
Up until that point his speech sounded like one from a common street-corner nutcase or Chris Rock working out new material for an upcoming HBO special. But it plunged to a new level of low advocating harming children rather than protecting them. To his credit at least his message wasn’t shrouded in feigned concern about childhood obesity like Michelle Obama’s recent speech to the NAACP in which she first glossed over real strides made in this country when it comes to race relations, then focused on inadequate black schools and then launched into what she views as most crucial, the issue of fat black kids. However one has to question – If she’s truly committed to protecting black children from the harmful effects of bad eating habits why she didn’t ask the NAACP to join her in taking the following steps -
- Denouncing the New Black Panther party – After all if young black kids are influenced by them and actually off a cracker baby (as ordered) it would undoubtedly result in their incarceration – where they wouldn’t be served the healthiest of foods.
- Apologizing to Mr. Gladney – Rather than condone the beating of this black tea party member as the NAACP did, Mrs. Obama and the NAACP should instead support him for engaging in independent thought, even if his views differ from theirs. After surviving slavery at the very least haven’t black people earned the right to free thinking? If not, the minds of black people are still in chains which could be a very anxiety provoking concept to black youths – and anxiety commonly leads to compulsive eating.
- Stop crying “Racism!” – Looking for racism lurking around every corner is a very stressful way to live especially for black youths – who could then begin stress eating.
- Giving props to Bush – Critics of the tea party have made accusations of overt racism because of signs that depict Barack Obama as a monkey. I’ve been to several tea parties and have never seen them, but okay for the sake of argument there were these types of signs and they weren’t being carried by plants from the left – During the entire eight years of George Bush’s presidency you could throw a stone and hit an image depicting him as a monkey. Since George Bush is white, presidential monkey pictures in and of themselves aren’t necessarily racist. So rather than being a cry-baby about it why not follow Bush’s example of “man’ing up” and not letting it get under his skin. After all, if black youths learn to stand strong when it comes to teasing they can strong when it comes to making good nutritional choices.
- Stop twisting the Constitution – Since the founding fathers really didn’t call for equal outcomes, redistribution of wealth, abortions on demand, free health care, or protection from tea partiers; a good exercise for the first lady and the NAACP would be to read the Constitution without imposing their own agenda on to it. This may encourage black youths to do the same. The better they’re able read and comprehend, the better they’ll be able to read and comprehend those nutritional food labels.
And lastly if Michelle Obama really wanted to rid childhood obesity in the inner-city she would’ve asked the NAACP to join her in advising them not to re-elect her husband – His policies are guaranteed to keep the poor, poor. Poverty and hopelessness is depressing, and depression leads to pigging out.
Interestingly Michelle Obama didn’t say any of those things in the childhood obesity portion of the speech. Then what did her speech accomplish? For one thing it gave the media a first lady project to write about, even though Mrs. Obama offered up no solutions. More importantly it allowed Michelle to give a nod of support and words of encouragement to the NAACP, a group that has successfully transformed itself from being a legitimate civil rights organization to this administration’s willing workers; and who along with 170 other groups, including labor unions are planning to build strong momentum against patriotic Americans with the simple desire to have a reduced national debt, individual liberty, and freedom to voice their concerns about how Barack Obama’s policies are affecting their lives and the lives of their children…In other words, the Tea Party movement.

She recounts that Mama Robinson (Michelle's Mom who lives in the White House) wasn't too impressed when Michelle came out with her healthy eating plan. She basically said, "If the kid wants something to eat let them eat, give them some fried chicken or something, for crying out loud." You go Mama Robinson.
Also Michelle needs to apologize to Bill Cosby for insulting his childhood friend Fat Albert. He might have been fat, but he didn't go around killing cracker babies.

When good food costs less than anti-biotic, hormonal "beef", we might get some progress.

Excellent story. Here's something else that can be done; -since the government likes to control our lives, and since some ingredients are more likely to help increase obesity, why not change the Food Stamp mandate to lock out certain processed foods that contribute to the obesity problem. Stores could deny purchases automatically if a food is put on a "This Won't Fly" list…
And to take that further, if it becomes known that a food is listed, wouldn't manufacturers be more inclined to either stop producing it, or alter the formulation in order help preserve the brand?
I love the Outback Bloomin' Onion, but haven't had one since it was added to the list as the #1 worst food to eat… just an idea to ruminate on…

She is finally proud of her country now, for the first time in her life.
Hear hear. When you subsidize something, you encourage it. Welfare = subsidization of poorness.
Some famous person once said, "I have never been poor. I have often been broke. Being broke is a temporary situation. Being poor is a state of mind." The government doesn't give broke people welfare. Being poor, though, the government will provide you with money for 22" rims, a flatscreen tv of at least 36", and a trip to the nail/hair salon every week.
I don't know what single entity encourages that lifestyle, but the same paycheck could buy grass-fed beef, real vegetables, and a pot to cook them in. But you can't keep gain points over your peers with dinner– you have to have that iPhone.
Obesity is, in large part, a choice. And that choice is encouaged by the media, the gov't, and the people.
Michelle, encourage responsible decision-making. Encourage two-parent families. Don't discourage "treats."

Michelle needs to check her own diet. You don't stay that "thick" when you exercise like she supposedly does if you're not putting away some calories.
In a controlled socitety, they cant teach the power of personal responsibility.
My daughter can walk past a vending machine. She can also eat some Doritos and get out of bed at 5 AM to work out. She can set a regional high jumping record before she was 5 feet tall. She is a National Merit scholar. Her girl scout troup was in the ghetto. I paid for the cookies the black girls ate and never turned in money. 3 of her scout mates had daddies in prison for life. I have no problem sending her to a magnet school in the ghetto so the gifted could bring up the test scores. Welfare moms and babies without daddies in the home are the foundation of a life of problems.
Michelle is asking the wrong questions. White people don't hate blacks. We do have a problem raising kids with clean speaking and have poor kids cuss, curse and diss others for no reason.
One of the benefits of being in jail is no child support for the "accidents as Obama calls it" that happened in a moment of passion.

I think that given what the NAACP was debating (condemning the Tea Party as racist), Mrs. Obama should have skipped the meeting, but having read the text of her speech, I didn't see anything shocking or horrfying about it besides her comparison of weight loss to the civil rights movement. I was a bit surprised she didn't mention the Tea Party at all, which went against some of the blogs on the subject I had read.

about black schools –
about a year ago I read an article on seattle schools written by white LIBERAL parents who lived in the area where the "black" schools were. (housing was much more affordable, and the area is turning because of it.) Their children were attending there, they were volunteering in those schools, etc.. They ran straight into the sanctimonious hypocrisy of the uber-leftist school and district BLACK administrators. Every suggestion they made that would have actually made. a. positive. difference. was shot down as not acceptable (re: not PC). The ADMINISTRATIONS were THE problem. After fighting to make improvements, these parents eventually gave up the fight, and pulled their children out.
I've come to the conclusion uber-leftists are some of the most racist people on the planet. (re: failures get lots of attention, successes insulted.) And there are too many black uber-leftists that are race whores afraid of blacks succeeding because then they would no longer be needed, and out of a job.
case in point was obama getting rid of the DC voucher program that was. helping. black. children. Of course, his preciouses cannot go to school with "poor" children, they might learn about the real world and that daddy is a communist.

Parents need to lead their children by setting the example in healthy eating and exercise. They say that dog owners start to look like their dogs… well… show me an obese child and it will lead back to overweight parents in most cases. Show me a father that exercises regularly and I'll show you son's that push themselves to be like him and beat him in sports. Show me a mother that walks, runs, yoga, or other to keep in shape, I'll show you a daughter that follows her path.
This is not about government or happy meals. This is about parents dropping the ball. You don't have to belong to Gold's Gym to get out and walk. My wife and I walk 3.8 miles everyday possible at a fast pace. Try it. You may just start to like it.
I have an idea that would go a long way to helping out with obesity in America and it would help farmers too.
Why not use the food stamp program to PROMOTE healthy living and actually make it better for those that have to use them?
1. No potato chips, twinkies,candy, ice creams, frozen pizza's, soda pop etc.
2. All fruits and vegatable purchased only out of the PRODUCE section are free (do not count against your monthly stipend). you can get them as often as you want for FREE.
3. The cost of the fruits and veggies could be paid for by the farm subsidies that we currently pay farmers to NOT grow certain foods, demand for veggies would be up, so we would need the food to be grown, safely here in America, the way it used to be.
3. Food stamps could be used to purchase essentials like toilet paper and diapers, since these are reasonable needs.

I think if you were put in a situation where your food stamps have run out for the month, but you knew you could go to the produce department anytime, then you might be more willing to eat those free foods, which in turn are healthy and would be unlimited in quantitiy.
Now this wouldn't work for everyone, but if my family had to be on food stamps, I would love this situation, so the die-hard junk foodies would be misserable…. but then the best way to get people out of poverty is to make them uncomfortable in that poverty.
Everytime I see her opening that gaping maw of a hole in her face she calls her "mouf", all I hear is one long, loud non-stop fart…

You should read the speech and not blogs about the speech. Mrs. Obama stated that the lifestyles of black children and the food given to them by their parents is responsible for the fact they are disproprotionately obese (below are three paragraphs clipped from the speech).

When she's smiling, she is a beautiful woman – there is no denying that. But she seldom smiles for real – and those pictures of her, captured in unguarded moments, are telling. She just radiates hate sometimes. My grandma used to tell me, "Be careful, your face might freeze" when I was a pouty youngster. I think her face is slowly freezing into a mask of resentment and arrogance, not a pretty thing to behold.
She shouldn't have been at a "Special Interest" Group's meeting at all, if she's the First Lady of ALL of America!
