NAACP: Even When They Make it Up, They Get it Wrong
by Larry O'ConnorWant a laugh? Take a look at the press release issued by the NAACP announcing their resolution condemning the Tea Party movement for racism:
In March, members of the Congressional Black Caucus were accosted by Tea Party demonstrators and called racial epithets. Civil rights icon John Lewis was spit on, while Congressman Emanuel Cleaver was called the “N” word
Amazing, isn’t it. You’d think that if the myth of the racial slurs hurled at black congressmen was the justification to condemn an entire political movement they’d at least get their story straight.
Here’s a little video to help show what really didn’t happen that day:
We want to help our friends at the NAACP out so they can repeat the bogus charges consistently in the future:
1. Rep John Lewis never said he was spat upon
2. For that matter, Rep. John Lewis never said he heard people calling him the “N-word”, it was Rep. Andre Carson who said he heard it. (I know, you’ve been TOLD that Rep. John Lewis said he was called the “N-Word” that day, but go ahead, Google it. You’ll see. He is not on record personally making the charge. Curious, isn’t it?)
3. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver DID claim HE was spat on, but then after he and everyone else in the world reviewed the video and saw that errant spittle from a man screaming “Kill the Bill!” is what hit Rep Cleaver, he walked back the charge.
4. As it is true Rep. Cleaver also said he heard the “N-word” the day he was walking with Rep. Lewis to the Capitol from the Cannon office building, this claim is completely and utterly false. You see Rep. Cleaver wasn’t walking with Rep. Lewis that day. We know this because we have video tape of Rep. Lewis and Rep. Carson walking to the capitol at the precise moment and at the precise place Rep. Carson claims to have heard the “N-word” fifteen times from fifteen people. Rep. Cleaver is no where to be found. And the “N-word” is nowhere to be heard.
I hope this helps. And, in the future, when you’re going to slander an entire group of people with an outrageous and slanderous charge of racism, at least get your lies straight.

The media stood by silently in sheepish compliance as one of the greatest politically motivated lies in history unfolded around them, in the days that followed they repeated the lies and reinforced them.

Based on the lies of March 20, 2010 the NAACP, a once proud foundation for freedom used their membership to frighten their constituents into voting for the democrat party.
The NAACP officially cast a very large swath of Americans as bigots without factual foundation based solely on hearsay solely for partisan political ends.
Never forget these dates people, history is unfolding around us and when this story is retold in the decades to come we must no allow history to simply be erased for partisan political expediency.
You have to become the keepers of history and the truth must never be lost to the ages for anyone's political benefit.

However, the White House has now walked into the thick of it by sending Michelle Obama to the NAACP conference devoid of the facts to incite the masses. With everything crashing down around them and poll numbers plummeting, that probably wasn't the best idea.

Well I did as you said and Googled John Lewis and the N word and all that came up was the fact that he was called the N word, so I would really like to see proof. And not from Fix News or any other right wing blog sites. I would like to see something, perhaps, from CNN(The most trusted name in news). I will not hold my breath.
What will all of the NAACP officials, on the payroll, do if they can't enforce the separation of the races? We've elected a black President, so that takes care of racism. Now will the NAACP people have to get another job?

The Congressman does mention that he was called, "racial epithets," though not particularly the N-word. And he does directly respond to the question.
As noted by others, proof is still lacking that the event actually occurred.

The reps were recording the crowd themselves, or at least people walking with them were recording……..who is the guy with what looks like two cell phones??
At 1.:15 of the video, the one above in this article, that guy had two cell phones in the face of the guy screaming kill the bill….they were walking with video recording devices of some kind, if anything was said they would have released their own evidence…..I would say they did the walks to nudge a response and since they didn't get one, Cleaver made one up.
Not only that, but in another video of them walking down the steps there was another guy with a video camera recording the walk, it was pointed out with an arrow by the editor of the video…….

It is really hard to hear much of anything in the video, and not just because of the song on this version but because the loudest thing being chanted is "kill the bill". I don't think that is a racial epitaph.
I will give these representatives the benefit of the doubt on one account: perhaps they did hear one or two people close to them as they were walking say the n-word or another racial slur. But there certainly wasn't a chorus of them, at least during the moments caught on film. A chorus would be able to be heard above the other din (assuming he meant a chorus of people and not a chorus as in a repeated refrain in a song). So a couple of people might have yelled a racial slur. Does that make a whole group of people, most of whom do not support trully racist behaviour or remarks, racist? I think not. And if you disagree with me on this point you're not a racist or a homophobe, just a person lacking what I would call common sense. (I think I have been reading too many Gutfeld articles.)

But given that the slander is "he called me an "n-word" or "he is a racist", it's not what they call "slander per se" where you don't have to prove you've actually been damaged (statement that you committed a crime, that your business is fraudulent, that you have a loathsome disease or that you are not chaste are the slander per se choices).
