SEIU President Mary Kay Henry, Have You No Sense of Decency?
by Larry O'ConnorThe incredible reporting by my colleagues at Big Government and Big Journalism on the shameful demonstration of intimidation by SEIU President Mary Kay Henry and her purple-shirted thugs this past Sunday in Washington DC has brought to light so many revelations exposing the corrupt nature of this union and their bought and paid-for allies.

But one over-riding story has yet to be discussed. And to me, it is the obvious one: What have we come to when these kind of bullying tactics are allowed to occur in our society?
The plan to invade the neighborhood and storm the front door of the private residence of a bank executive to shame them or intimidate them into changing the bank’s policy must be denounced from all sides of the political spectrum. What kind of America do these people want?
Do they really want to encourage this kind of disturbance of the peace and sanctity of an individual’s home merely as a means to a political end? Is this a road we as a society are willing to go down?
You often read on these pages allusions to “Alinsky tactics”, and Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. When we denounce efforts by the left and their organizations that have been created to push their agenda, it is just this kind of radical and extreme act we are talking about.
How could the White House remain silent after this obnoxious event? By their silence, is the Obama Administration giving tacit approval to the SEIU and their myriad of sister organizations to go forward and continue to storm the homes of other political adversaries?
The President has raised the act of demonizing faceless corporate evil-doers to an art form. The quasi-socialist rhetoric of class-warfare pervades most of his speeches on economic policy. And, given his obvious alliance with Big Labor in general and SEIU in particular, it goes to reason that by his silence he is pleased that these bullies are doing his dirty work by trying to force banks to “volunteer” to change their policies, lest their homes and neighborhoods get invaded again and again.
But, this kind of action must not be viewed through a partisan perspective. This behavior must be denounced by left and right as beyond the boundaries of our nation’s civil discourse. Our children must be allowed to nap in the privacy of our homes without hundred’s of activists with bull-horns waking them up. Our teenage children must be allowed to be at home alone without the frightening spectacle of a mob setting up camp on our front lawns. And we must be allowed to live in our neighborhood without being seen as the “pariah who stirred up all of the trouble with the union last Sunday”.
Imagine what our country would be like if this kind of behavior goes unchecked and un-condemned.
When will the President use this as a “teachable moment” and send a clear signal to his allies in the SEIU that they crossed the line and he un-equivocally denounces their thug tactics? When?

I think you missed the point here, Mr. O'Connor. It's not just that people "must be allowed" to live peacefully and safely in their homes. It is their RIGHT. Their RIGHTS were violated by thugs, and abetted by the cops who escorted them there.

I just noticed that one of the thugs is wearing a shirt that says "Stand for Security." Funny thing, considering they all destroyed the security of the banker's home, and terrified his boys.
What needs to happen is that when SEIU violates the law and infringes upon someone else's rights and/or property the victim needs to DEFEND their rights and/or property with EVERYTHING the law will allow.

I do not know if Mary Kay or any of the SEIU protesters have a sense of decency. Let us however go out get shotguns each and everyone of us, load the shotguns with rock salt rounds and next time these thugs show up on our front steps we can see if they have an acute sense of feel.

I don't have to "investigate" the Holocaust. My high-school history teacher was a boy when he and his family were imprisoned in a concentration camp. He was the only one who survived. And no, he wasn't Jewish, either. Many thousands of non-Jews shared the same fate in the camps, and the survivors are all witnesses, no matter what you and your haters say.
Oh, and BTW, many Allied soldiers, including several of the famous "Band of Brothers", were also witnesses to the carnage. I dare you to get in their face and tell them the Holocaust was a lie.

Forbes caught the story because the writer lives next door, though I really don't think she had any idea what was going on and I am sure she was very scared. I also think that HuffPo and Media Mutters was annoyed that the article she wrote was not what they were hoping for.
Like I said, too many Beltway lawyers live in the area, there would be lawsuits for every blade of grass out of place. This and the fact that the FBI hasn't shut them down for taking over a lobby of BoA. You get a group of people together and try that, see how fast you will be sitting in the county lock-up under federal investigation. And DCMPD not notifying the local Maryland department is very much out of character for all departments, that is just professional courtesy.

The Red Cross were actually IN the camps (so the Germans weren't hiding anything) and their TOTAL estimates were UNDER half a million deaths – mostly due to the TYPHUS epidemic which affected Russian soldiers NOT in captivity and much of Europe.

I suspect. When BoA forgives the loan they will probably take a corresponding tax deduction, making their
campaign donation tax deductible. Being a country bumpkin, I don't know if BoA would have been able to
legally donate that much or if it would have been tax deductible if they had made a campaign contribution of
that size, but I've seen how these crooks operate so I'm suspicious of all of them. It will end up a WIN / WIN

Like I said, Randy, you don't have to rely on survivors' testimony. Ask one of the Allied veterans who liberated the camps, or the thousands of Red Cross workers who helped the survivors get medical care, find their families, and return home (or not, as my teacher didn't). Many of these folks are still plenty alive and kickin'. They'll be glad to tell you just what they did for these victims. And then they'll probably kick your sorry ass around the block.
