When Will Sen. Reid Condemn the Actions of His Supporters?

They were the highest profile members of the “Rent-a-Thug” protest in support of Sen. Harry Reid on Saturday, March 27th. Their preferred method of showing support for the Majority Leader of the United States Senate? Throwing eggs at a bus full of private citizens assembling in the Senator’s hometown to exercise their 1st Amendment rights.
Let’s re-aquaint ourselves with the Searchlight Four:
This is “The Eggman”
Jesse Walker threw an egg at the Tea Party bus. He is a member of IBEW Local 357 and he was also instructing Andrew Breitbart on the finer, nuanced points of racial politics in America today:
“The demographics of this country is changing, your way of thinking is dead.”
This is “Eddie”
Edward “Eddie” Gering was in the midst of the egg-throwing and when Breitbart pointed out the atrocious behavior, Eddie smugly taunted him and took pride in the vandalism:
“All right man, glad you approve! Thanks Man!”
Eddie is the Vice President of IBEW Local 357 and hauls in a six-figure salary on the backs of his union brothers and sisters while their Pension Fund is under-funded. Union, yes.
This is “The Thug”
Identified elsewhere as Jim Nardi, he stood on the side of the highway in Searchlight lecturing on class warfare and social justice, then thrust his finger at Breitbart and threatened him:
“Get him outta here or I’m going to jail today!”
This is “The Weasel”
Identified elsewhere as Brian Dimarzio, the Field Director for the Nevada State Democratic Party. He is seen in many of the videos wrangling people, trying to get them in line or trying to keep them from talking to the cameras. Most importantly, he is seen accusing Breitbart of throwing eggs and saying as much to a law enforcement official:
“They’re throwing eggs and blaming us, it’s ridiculous.”
Last week, Big Government released video footage showing these thugs intimidating, taunting, threatening violence and hurling eggs at Andrew Breitbart and other Tea Party activists in Searchlight Nevada. Their obnoxious behavior, one presumes, was their way of showing support for their man, Harry Reid. The men in question were holding Harry Reid signs, wearing Harry Reid shirts and chanting Harry Reid’s name.
Unlike the Tea Party protestors who spontaneously assembled on the mall in Washington the day of the health care vote, these individuals were organized, identified and affiliated with the State Democratic Party and/or IBEW Local 357. And yet, unlike the calls of condemnation made by the media and politicians to John Boehner and Mitch McConnell for the still-unproven racial slurs allegedly hurled that day in Washington, there have been no such calls for Harry Reid, the Nevada Democratic Party or IBEW Local 357 to condemn or disavow the actions of their supporters and protestors that day in Searchlight.
On Thursday we notified Sam Lieberman and Travis Brock, Chairman and Executive Director of the Nevada Democratic Party. Even after a follow-up today, we have received no response from them regarding the actions of their employee, Brian Dimarzio.
On Friday, the bus driver who had to deal with the hazard and mess of the eggs, filed a police report with Las Vegas Metro (Event Number 100327-1662).
- The State Party has not made any public comment about the actions of their employee.
- IBEW Local 357 has not made any public comment about the actions of their members.
- Senator Harry Reid has not made any public comment about the actions of his supporters.
- Members of the main stream press have not asked Reid, or the party or union for any comment about the actions of the people in the videos.
In unrelated yet deliciously ironic news, Sen. Harry Reid announced today that he will kick off his re-election campaign with a bus tour of Nevada. Yes, a bus tour.

Reid will NEVER condemn the actions of the democratic party, as long as his community organizer in chief, does the same thing! Obama has NOT acted Presidential since he got into office! He (Obama) is constantly on the offensive against, talk radio and Fox News, along with ANYONE who has anything negative to say about his policies!! Until we get these demons OUT of Washington, the onslaught of the Tea Party, and the rest of America will continue!!

I've been threatened by union thugs a few times, and most Americans know enough to fear union thugs. Once they push the card check legislation through, people who work in a potentially dues-rich environment will be unable to avoid the thuggery. In the past, a worker could say, "Yeah, sure, a union sounds good," and then, on election day, vote his conscience by secret ballot, knowing the union thugs could never identify the naysayers.
Once they pass the union-payoff bill, though, the secret ballot is, as Rush says, "histoire."
Reid doesn't deserve to reap the benefits of living in the greatest nation on earth.

I cannot even begin to tell you how many debates I get into with my co-workers over the union. I keep trying to tell them I believe strongly in the basic idea unions were based on "fair work conditions and fair pay". The key word being "FAIR" as opposed to "Special" which is what they work for today. I also wish they would ban all unions and businesses from being able to contribute money to political campaigns. Let the politicians get their money directly from the people and track it so we know who gives what. That way we would know if any rich donors received special treatment.

Unfortunately, he's right. Just because conservatives choose to bury their heads in the sand and ignore the race issue will not make it go away. It doesn't matter how many Tea Parties you have or how good your ideas are, as America continues to become less and less white, it will become more and more difficult for conservative or even moderate candidates to get elected.

Whether he does or doesn't is of no concern. The fact that it happened is all people need to know. They can make their own determinations as to why he did or didn't speak out against it. In all likelihood he will remain silent rather than risk making things worse. It would be the politically expedient thing to do. His silence, of course, will speak volumes as we all know he probably appreciates their enthusiasm and loyalty. It is also very likely that he will be counting on the MSM to dismiss the incident as quickly as it is or isn't reported.
As long as we continue to catalog these events we can show them to the public again in the future and remind them why they should not vote for this man who, in his silence, condones such behavior on his behalf.

I think Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Alfonzo Rachel, Michelle Malkin, Miguel Estrada, Janet Nguyen , Joseph Cao (Cao's win in Louisiana's 2nd District is by far the most Democratic district in the nation to be represented by a Republican) and a whole host of others would say otherwise. Conservatism is not about race and never has been and in fact is better aligned with most legal immigrant's values and those of the changing face of America. Painting the tea party as "racist old white guys" will fail as have the left's previous attempt's at ignoring, ridiculing, marginalizing, and outright lying- these are acts of desperation by people that do not have the truth and a majority of the American public on their side.

The unions of today have learned to abuse their collective bargaining against the best interests of the company. Instead of securing fair compensation they exist solely to extort a premium wage and benefits from companies for their own benefit. Both BG articles so far seem to illicit a large amount of criticism from both left and right about the “pettiness” of what is deemed “simply a throwing of eggs” and the wasted effort on whining about the incident. Sure, it does seem on the surface such a trivial incident but the overall effect is what’s most important to consider.
It continues to be another prime example of selective journalism, selective enforcement, and selective governmental representation. All things “Tea Party” are promoted to be dismissive in principle, racially motivated, inciting violence and terrorist in nature. Consider the sources making these claims and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize you are witnessing an extension to the manipulation of Political Correctness. A tactic that blatantly exposes the left, liberals and progressives for the wimps they truly are. But don’t worry TP members and conservatives won’t beat this dead horse. Look, here's the deal. Had they egged the bus with no TEA party supporters around that would have been one thing. But here you have Breitbart acting as an agent provacateur and then the eggs fly. This was an opposition political event held in the back yard of Senator Reid. And noone thought there were going to be any shenanigans? This should die quickly. It has had it's intended effect. I think the greed of the unions far exceed those of the companies which employ their members. It is also as much about power as it is about money.
Harry Reid isn't going to condemn the actions of his supporters or anyone else who supports the left. The only time he and the left will condemn anyone or any thing is when it's done against them, those on the left. If someone throws an egg at a Tea Party bus or commits an an act of vandalism or a crime like assault and battery against anyone or anything on the right, then it's okay. It's free speech. It's American people standing up for cherished values. The goal should be to vote out every single democrat currently in the House or Senate and put in a Republican, preferably a Conservative Republican, but even a RINO at this point is better than a back-stabbing, vote switching, lying piece of dirt democrat. The democrat party needs to be sent a message they will never forget.
After they won the White House, House and Senate in 2008, they all but declared Conservatism dead. I think it was James Carville who said they (the left) would be able to make unimpeded change that would affect America for the next 50 years. The dems are sheep who simply followed the party mantra. So, send the PARTY a message by voting out their sheep.

Also, please explain how Breitbart and/or tea party members were able to record the racist remarks from Harry Reid's supporters, but no one can come up with the purported racist remarks from tea party members when hundreds of cameras were rolling? Even with a $100,000 prize to anyone who can produce the alleged racial epithets.

I was a union carpenter and worked hard, damn hard. No hour lunches, no paid sick days, no paid holidays (I did get 2 paid holidays after a year, at the discretion of the company).
The whip is on you because everything is about production. And why is that? So that people could buy brand new homes at a good price.
You think people can walk off the street and start building homes, commercial buildings? It takes knowledge and training. And who do you think teaches these skills? Unions. The carpenters training facility by me is impressive. And who do you think pays for it? Carpenters, who have funds deducted from their checks. I suppose you think we could survive with an unskilled workforce.

Blacks and hispanics , for the most part, do not vote Republican. How are Republicans going to win an election when they are the majority? It is pretty common sense. But I guess it is easier to call anyone who points this out a racist than it is to accept reality.

Hey MM. It's been my constant experience in life that turning the other cheek only sets up the other one to be hit. These punks are doing this because they are comfortable doing this, with no consequences for them so far. They are only going to become more brazen. If it isn't snuffed out now to the best of our ability, real tragedies are going to end up occurring.
