Axelrod and Emanuel Help Shape ACORN Coverage?
by Larry O'ConnorWhile I know it doesn’t rise to the journalistic importance of the “Balloon Boy” story, I would have thought yesterday’s press conference at the National Press Club featuring Hannah Giles, James O’Keefe, Andrew Breitbart and the latest video featuring the Philadelphia office of ACORN would have gathered a little more main-stream media attention.
This past Sunday, David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel made unprecedented statements on the Sunday morning shows. They both echoed the same two talking points which were essentially:
1. Fox News is not really a legitimate news source because it has a ‘point of view’ and2. We encourage all legitimate news networks to stop treating them as if they are legitimate.
The ACORN press conference and new video have been news for over 24 hours, and as of now, the networks’ coverage is as follows:
Fox News – ran a story within an hour of the press conference and duplicated coverage on their web page
NBC – nothing
MSNBC – nothing
CNN – nothing
AP ran a story late yesterday.
CBS – has only re-run the AP story
ABC – has only re-run the AP story
MSNBC – nothing
CNN – nothing

Wow this is enlightening, so they won't talk to fox but they monitor the channels to see who says what and correct it whenever they have control. Mao never went that far and I doubt Chavez could have controlled the media that efficiently without taking it over.

The main stream media will not cover this at all- they originally made a REALLY BIG DEAL over how Obama was a "community organizer" who worked for/with/above ACORN. It was part of his allure during the campaign. Now that the organization is imploding, he needs to stay as far from it as possible, as do the media shills who got him elected. Their credibility is already in jeopardy, but once they admit fault, they will have none. The only real solution to them is to say nothing and pretend it isn't happening.
David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel just "reminded" the media that they are in this as deeply as they are, and without cover, the government can dismantle them just as easily as they can dismantle the president.
Even if MSM actors politically support liberal causes, doesn’t it make you sometimes wonder if the Godfather, Obama, has threatened them in some real way if they don’t tow his line?
The only other alternative is that journalistic ethics, curiosity, and courage have evaporated from our culture altogether, with the exception of Fox News.
It also shows the White House has a "Special" email address at MSNBC that goes direct to the news desk. Talk about state run media.
People are voting with their eyeballs (just the way free markets should work) – which is why The Obamessiah has declared FNC to be Blasphemous.
This makes me wonder whether the Administration's recent attacks on Fox News was an attempt at containment. Might they may have had foreknowledge of the release of the Philly videos and thus tried to discourage the major networks and papers from running with the story?
I think they are using Fox to distract us from their true agenda.
This is a war the Obama administration cannot win. No sitting president has ever acted like such a child. He has brought great shame to this nation. I hope he gets impeached.

What I really want to know, although it frightens me greatly, is – who is really pulling the strings? I think we've seen enough of Obama and his staff in the White House to see that they are in over their head. I don't think they really have that much control over the media, entertainment and academia. And yet, each day, like magic, we are treated to a coordinated assault on the truth through as many outlets as possible, all covering or not covering the same topics in the same ways. Whoever is behind that is who we have to take down, regardless of the cost.
Yes, they are doing everything they can to divert our attention from their takeover of the economy and our private lives. Controlling the media is part of the tactical playbook. The message to the rest of the media is to remain curbed or they will be the next targets.
Desparate and in fear. If you were the MSM and ratings stunk. Losses were rising, would you be afraid of obama? Of course.
Backfire! It seems that FOX is leading during the daytime and primetime. The Red Eye gets more viewers at 3 a.m. est than most of Mainstream during primetime. So Fraud Emanuel and David Broken AxelRod will help stiffle the alphabet network which very few are watching anyway, may encourage the diehard supporters of the alphabet network to switch.
I must admit that it's very entertaining for Fraud Emanuel to be seen on Sunday Mornings complaining about Fox. He is like a little girl who is no longer popular. With the deficit at $1.4 Trillion thanks to his boss, failing war in AF/Pak Thanks to his boss, Unemployment at 10% Thanks to his boss, Fraud and Broken Axel are on the TV WHINING like a couple of winnies.
Someone at Fox needs to get wind of this and break it wide open. The people of this nation need to know how they are being played for idiots by the very people they elected.
With the ratings that FOX news has, I can see why 0bamao is threatened by the coverage he is getting. I have some real news for Barry – FOX IS "real news". It is just not the "story" that Barry, Gibbs, Axlerod, and Rahm want told. The truth uncovered could take down this administration. I can't wait!

Normally I do not watch too much TV however, sense Hussein and his Posse of Clowns begin to WHINE about FOX, I watch FOX 5 hours a day!
MSM hasn't done any investigation of ACORN even though they know they are a corrupt organization and they never will. Don't hold your breath. The proof is in the numbers of conservative, moderates/independents, and democrats who watch FOX for the simple reason they KNOW they are getting the truth. In the end it will set us all free of the enslaving of America that is being done at the hand of the progressive movement. Obama isn't that smart. Trust me, he's getting his "marching orders" from somewhere else and in time it will come to light. We the people must remain ever vigilant in our rights of a free Republic and never, ever allow us to be silenced.

I've always been under the impression that George Soros was spreading the wealth around to these "in the tank" networks. In the case of MSNBC, Jeffrey Immelt (Pres of parent company GE) has almost destroyed what was once a great and profitable company. I get the impression that Obama shapes policy based on how much it can help his friends and supporters, such as GE (opening up a Russian market after cancelling missile shield; pushing the global warming scam to sell solar panels and windmills, etc.) and Soros (aid to Brazil re oil when Soros owns the offshore oil wells). When he was a state senator in IL, he steered business to his cronies with 1/3 kicked back in the form of a "campaign donation." It's probably going on at the national level. So MSNBC comes off as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the WH.

I don't watch the Sunday shows ever: I am in church praying for our country.
He's not subject to impeachment. Impeachment is predicated upon the lawful holding of office. De minimis, Obama's holding of office is void ab initio because his father was not a U.S. Citizen when Obama was born (forget WHERE he was born, that only compounds the felony IF he was not born in the U.S.), and thus, he is NOT a natural BORN citizen, therefore he is not eligible to hold office. The issue with Obama is a writ of quo warranto ("by what authority").
The reason the GOP is doing nothing is because they fielded John McCain who is (also) NOT a natural BORN citizen.
The fact is, all 50 SOS's, and both parties, express or implied, certified two candidates in 2008, neither of which were lawfully qualified to even run for POTUS. This certification was a combination of ignorance and design, and why would anyone on this forum imagine anything else given the graft and corruption at both the Federal and state level since the Great Depression? You have been taken for fools. Wake up. This is a coup d'etat in plain sight. Obama is not eligible to be POTUS. Republicans say nothing because of the agent provocateur Orly Taiz, the MSM (funny how so many on this forum accept their definition of birther when they reject everything else), and their own complicity in the fraud that was John McCain's candidacy.

I'm emailing the online components of the news networks asking them why they aren't covering these stories. I don't watch TV, so I get all my news online. I think these slack news organizations need to get a steady, loud and angry push from conservatives to cover some of the same topics FOX does. Demand it, people!

I'm not to sure why everyone is getting their panties in a wad concerning Fox's negative standing in the White House. First, I can't think of any good thing that will come out of this for the administration. They will implode the news services and they will all be on the side of free speech and free press. Secondly, This is a ratings bonanza for FNC. Their night time numbers almost rival the big three's numbers during prime time, FNC is making a huge difference in the overall viewership of TV at night, coupled with people getting their information of the internet network news is a joke. Thirdly, Roger Ailes should ride this pony for all its worth–he is the master of making the right decisions at the right time. Fourthly, The white house is scared sh—–! Let them suck eggs.
What is really scary is that we have lost our watchdogs. I was thinking back to the Nixon era. I was too young to really understand what was going on at the time, but reading about Nixon's enemy lists recently got me thinking. Back then, the media was a watchdog. They were relentless and finally got him impeached. But I have to wonder if Nixon had been a democrat, would it have ended the same way? Would they have been lapdogs back then or did they have integrity? I am hoping they had integrity. The media was a watchdog during the Bush years and now they are lapdogs. Obama actually has an enemy list and they don't seem to mind. He is controlling so many parts of our economy and they don't seem to mind. I do believe the media no longer has integrity but an agenda. But why? What do they have to gain? What is in it for them?

True Conservatives have much bigger fish to fry- for instance, the Pay Czar limiting the salaries of privately employed individuals. Only when we stop wasting our energy and time on small nonsense can we truly fight back.
The conference probably wasn't interesting since Breitbart et al. only fielded questions from conservative news sources and avoided answering any interesting ones, citing the "lawsuit" concerns as the reason.

If the ONLY day/morning shows that Fox gets "spanked in the ratings is" is Sunday, AND….. let's assume that it is because regular Fox viewers are in "church" on Sundays, what is your point exactly?
Are you saying that because Fox viewers are "in church" on Sundays, that their voices on every other day of the week should count less because they are in church on Sunday?
Or, are you saying that because the Sunday total viewership for Fox is less than the other networks, that "we" should extrapolate a different result from the Monday – Saturday viewership tallys?
What exactly are you saying here? Are you trying to infer that people of faith are the only people who watch Fox? Are you trying to infer that people of faith are incapable of making informed decisions? Are you trying to infer that people of faith CANNOT make an informed decision?
Your inference with your post is insulting. It suggests that anyone who goes to church is inferior and not worth "counting" on any other day. For, if they go to church on Sunday, then they must be deficient in a way that makes their mere existence not worth counting.
Quite frankly, I find the "ratings" comforting. If, as you suppose, Fox viewers are "in church" on Sunday mornings and therefore are not watching TV, then I am with them – the "viewers"/people who are in church on Sunday morning are praying for our Republic – they are not at home, on their computers, blogging about what is owed to them from others, like you.
By the way, you might want to look at the ratings for every other day ( other than Sunday). In addition, you might want to look at the overall ratings – Fox is beating them all, hands down. Who cares about Sunday?

This is obviously an important revelation that must be researched thoroughly by anybody with a conscious and rational thought. The Constipated Media (ConMed) started to go downhill during the JFK administration. He was their wet dream. Remember Camelot? What a bunch of happy horse pucky that was. Jack and his bow-legged wife…the perfect couple. Yeah, the press covered up Jack's couplings pretty well.

Please note that it was a Republican Administration that first began using the term "Czar" to describe heads of agencies. Do note that the majority of the posts which the word "Czar" is applied to were created under Republican administrations.
