Congressman Steve King Questions AG Holder On Arizona Bill
by Rep. Steve King (R-IA)
Yesterday, Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the House Judiciary Committee. I had an interesting exchange with the AG and wanted to share this with all of you. It was shocking when the Attorney General admitted to Congressman Poe that he had not read the text of the Arizona Senate bill 1070.

Nice! Thanks!
I took an absolute delight in having Holder admit under oath, after much prodding from you, that he is too good to render opinions based on factual evidence he actually read…
Mr. Holder should be berated for inciting violent ideas based on his lack of integrity…
at 6:00 Holder goes on a rant trying to convince the American people he works in an a-political manner-
What COMPLETE BS!
From day one he started by not pressing charges against the Black Panthers and went right on from there wearing his bias on his sleeve.
I hope Holder runs for an office that he has to be voted into so that everyone can see his incompetence on political attack ads, thus ending his career.
At 7min I have to ask,
"Is Sen Johnson fit to serve?''
When he thought islands would tip I called him an idiot,
however now I think he may be need of medical help.
He looks and sounds completely out of it.
This is almost as good as the Guam-tip-over quote from Congressman Hank Johnson (happening at about 6:48):
"There’ve been a number of myths that have been perpetrated by politicians seeking to inject politics into the political process."
I believe the good people of Georgia's 4th District should, out of kindness, turn this man out.
oh he's a charmer- well if charmer = bs'er- in all the questions he has answered in the last few days he sure has made a fool of himself- you would think that being up on this bill would be to his advantage but he thought he could bs his way thru because he didn't think the people would know- guess what ag holder? we are WATCHING and more EDUCATED then ever!
And this is yet another example of why I'm proud Mr. King is my representitive. Thank you sir for being one of the few public officials that I can put my trust in.
Aren't there laws prohibiting states from boycotting each other? We are indeed a banana republic; states are boycotting a state that want's to uphold the law and curtail a problem that has devastated countless cities near the southern border. This nation is in a financial meltdown and Arizona has shown a tremendous amount of bravery in standing up for its citizens. Illegals are a financial drain and they are taking jobs from Americans. This cannot continue. We either elect a congress in November free of any democrats so we can restore order and fiscal responsibility or we suffer the consequences Greece faces. Then we will have civil unrest and hopefully the leftwing filth that ruined this nation will be buried in the chaos.
And of course Holder didn't read the bill; the leftwing sellouts and thieves in congress that voted for the takeover of our healthcare didn't read the bill.
Evasive, much? And how about that dolt, Johnson, eh? These two should tried for criminal stupity.
I'm sorry everyone, this is off topic. Mr. Herbert J. Beatty was buried today. He was 86 years old and was a tech sergeant and waist gunner in B24s in the Army Air Corps in WWII. He was shot down TWICE in the service of his country. He served in WWII and survived the 50 missions his county asked of him. He then went on to serve the City of New York as a NYC police officer. His life represented what was best about this country—REAL public service. Not getting elected and putting your ass in the butter tub for 30 years—REAL public service.
God bless you Herb, I will miss you.
To Steve KING
You will from this day forward, be known as "The Shredder"..
Holder is such a fool…Knowing he was to be questioned about the AZ law, he "claims" to not have read it…
I find that a major stretch….And an insult to the Congressional panel…
You MUST invite him back AFTER the reading, to shread him again…
But the outcome won't be much different…Shredder 2 Holder 0
Holder is an Obama-style empty suit…Way out of his league…AND
I would vote for you, anytime, Sir…(Saluting)…
Holder should have been more honest and said he read the script that his handlers gave him thouroughly
Does this AG know what his job is?? Apparently not!! He needs to uphold our laws!! Why does he make AZ out to be the criminal and the "ILLEGALS" to be the victims. Holder, are you telling Americans that it's OK for "ILLEGALS" to come across the border murdering, kidnapping, raping, trafficking drugs, and stealing healthcare from Taxpayers?? I think not!! Do your job!!
And another thing, you should do your job and be prepared to answer questions at these hearings?? Is not immigration a hot topic right now??
Despite the clear dishonesty displayed by AG Holder, I felt relieved (and proud) to learn that there are, even still, some very astute, thoughtful, intelligent and upright men (and women) to be found in our Congress and House, even if they're the minority, and not on public display.
Clearly, all is not lost.
Shocking? Hardly. It is expected of anyone in the Obama administration that they will spew the party line. It is NOT expected that they will ever actually educate themselves about anything. That's what the press is for – to hand them their ranting points ("educate" them).
Good job, Steve. I hope we can start to denut this bunch of punks come next session, fresh off the November elections.
HOLDER and OBAMA are one-and-the-same! Let 'em talk…the more they talk, the more ridiculous they sound. They are both in over their heads and are not ready to function in the positions they hold.
Holder is a sorry excuse for a AG…..But than look at his boss….a sorry
excuse for a President!!
Mr. King, I will be thinking of YOU when Tom Harkin's Senate seat is up for election.
Did you know this man? If so, and if he has any family, please offer them our (at least mine) condolences and thanks for his long service to our great country.
TT29
RIP, Herb…
My Dad is also 86 and a WW2 Navy Vet…
Oh the stories he tells…
I don't think they can read
only type what handed to them by Arianna and George.
Wow, that entire exchange between Johnson & Holder wasn't scripted was it? They had to keep referring to their notes.
Notice how Congressman King asks a direction question and receives nearly half a minute of BS from AG Holder, but no clear answer to the question? In the end, Congressman King (and the rest of the panel) eventually ALL answered their own questions with absolutely NO help or clarity from the Attorney General–so why again was he there?
Holder is as corrupt as the rest of the administration. Lots of blah, blah blah and nothing of substance. Come on, why do you thing he is the AG? Look up his past swamp history.
SRacer423
"Is Sen Johnson fit to serve?''
I believe he's a House member
He'll be a Senator after Hell Freezes Over…
"Apolitical" my butt. What a turd.
"We are not at that point where we have reached a determination…" Clearly not, if you haven't even read the Arizona law. How can he conduct a review as to whether the law is unConstitutional, how can he even claim it is "underway"?
The only thing I was surprised by is that Johnson didn't get up and lick Holder's shoes right then and there.
I think the posters here are fed up with the troll 'diversions' and I don't blame them. I don't engage them anymore, either, because they really have nothing substantive to write or to discuss in writing.
At some point I think the majority of folks will ignore them entirely unless, of course, they're interested in some 'toll-whacking' entertainment. Why else bother?
I've got a feeling that between Holder not reading the Arizona bill and his dance of the 7 veils on not calling out Radical Islam. This unqualified arrogant embarrassment is not long for the D.O.J. . It's under the bus time.
Obama and his crew are going to bring themselves down, eventually they will get caught breaking a law.people see right through the smoke and mirrors and justice will prevail in the end.Our system of justice moves slow but sure.
When are these idiots going to stop address the Attorney General as "General Holder". The proper way to address the Attorney General of the United States is Mr. Attorney General or Mr. Holder. He's not a GENERAL!
Notice how Congressman King asks a direct question and receives nearly half a minute of BS from AG Holder, but no clear answer to the question? In the end, Congressman King (and the rest of the panel) eventually ALL answered their own questions with absolutely NO help or clarity from the Attorney General–so why again was he there?
Yes, AG Holder, we know immigration is a problem, but why does Mr. Obama launch into a tirade because the citizens of Arizona have chosen to take action against the problem in their state?
Obama, Holder, et all are revolutionaries. The sooner we all realize that the better. Biden is a buffoon, however.
Actually, but know I am not a Constitutional scholar, the interstate commerce clause was meant to mediate such activities; not the scurrilous interpretation that has been foisted upon us.
Because he is a shill.
Facts are their enemy !!! He can't even answer a simple question.
Yep! Che wannabes- the whole sorry lot of 'em. If only more Americans understood how close we are to tyranny right now…
You go get him King! Great job of cornering a buffoon into a lie. Did we see this anywhere on MSM-? Did they spin it this way? I'm sure not!
It's fun to poke them sometimes- kinda like when you find a snake in the garden. They coil up and strike, but you just stay a safe distance lol. But mostly they are an annoying distraction, yes.
Sitting in front of King, is TX REP. TOM POE, who shredded Holder, and IS THE ONE WHO GOT HOLDER TO ADMIT HE HAD NOT READ THE ARIZONA BILL he had criticized.
That is mentioned just underneath the video screen. Based on some of the comments, I'm not sure everybody read that.
It was TX Rep. Tom Poe that got Eric Holder to admit he had not read the 10 page bill.
Yes, there are laws that prohibit states from boycots and the interruption of commerce.
That is Federal Law. Nor are States permitted to exceed or modify compliance with immigration laws.
Hence, the self declared Santuary Cities, L.A., Frisco, Seattle, etc. are in violation of Federal Immigration Laws.
Should the Feds have stepped in twenty years ago as they were legally bound to do…
We might not have found the situation as it is today. Not one challenge, no Mayors or City Council prosecuted.
Will add this, watching the video, Holder could not provide a straight answer to any question posed to him.
What would happen if you performed that way in a job interview ?
Socialist tyranny on the one hand and socialist induced economic collapse on the other. It IS a scary world. We face no less a challenge than our founding fathers. They gave us a Republic-if we can keep it. It is now this generation that must keep it.
You think we'll get something better in his place?
I shudder to think…
The tap dancing, the vagueness, the obfsication
Keep him around until after Nov…When there won't be any Dimocrats…
I guess you saw my new Avi?
I would like to point out, again, that the guy who actually got Holder to admit he hadn't read the Arizona bill was Texas Rep. Tom Poe.
Wow! I like your name and your avi!
Thanks for pointing that out, TX. Not everyone did notice that, but everyone clearly noticed that Holder was booty-whipped.
So Senor dufus AKA Holder AKA Bagman seems to think he should be getting his facts from newspapers and such and not by reading the bill in question?
LAMO – What a frigging moron!
So Senor dufus AKA Holder AKA The Terrorist Bagman seems to think he should be getting his facts from newspapers and such and not by reading the bill in question?
These guys even make our trolls look smart in comparison.
You're welcome, Guest Yank. With We The People now paying attention to what's going on, let's just say, I haven't made up my mind if the intention was for Rep. Poe NOT to get the credit.
We're Watching, D.C…
Youre right, He's in the House-
Ive given him the wrong title.
Texas Homer
Yes, Rancher, I saw the Texan TPoe "question" Holder also…
Just not familar with the time line…
Good to know there are still sane mature people in the House…
Texas has some of the most outstanding…
Calif has most of the least (outstanding)
Better…LOL….nah We'll get another elitist, apologetic, neo-marxist progressive swine. That loves mankind and the world and looks down with disdain upon America and their fellow countrymen. The True Enemy. "When there won't be any Dimocrats" . HSN that's something that's devoutly to be wished for.
Thanks
What do you like about the name?
Most are unfamilar with that gentleman. I would bet you are not.
I'll have to admit, HPD, that I watched a few minutes of this particular video before turning it off. The one that has been getting the play on Fox shows was indeed Rep. Tom Poe, from Texas.
I can't tell you how good it made me feel to see my Congressman, Lamar Smith, shred Holder about Radical Islam and then see Rep. Poe shred Holder like the empty suit he is.
Proud…proud…proud…
[...] » Congressman Steve King Questions AG Holder On Arizona Bill – Big … [...]
Johnson is a moron and the people who voted for this moron should be denied further participation in the election process because they too, are morons.
I don't think so. He's doing what he's told by the brother in chief.
As I had only head the audio, I will defer to your observation…
There is an old saying, you might have heard it… "As long as the rattlesnake is dead, I ain't too particular who was holding the shotgun at the time…"
The good thing for Holder is that the weekend is here and,…….
Obama has already instructed BP to keep it up for a little longer,…….
Come Monday morning Eric Holder's will be back on TV,……………
pretending he knows what he is doing.
Absolutely proud of the job Mr. King does for the State of Iowa and America
Its nice to find the Republicans are re-discovering their manhood…
Like Obama, Holder likes to run his big mouth without knowing the facts. It's always "jump the gun" with this administration.
Another example is Obama saying that "the police in New Hampshire acted stupidly" before even knowing what happened.
Good job on grilling Holder, like a typical DemoRAT he just danced and skirted the issue and avoided any sort of direct response.
Maybe Eric cannot read English,
give him a copy in illegal alien lingo so he can read it
Illegal immigration into the United States – so easy mexican cavemen can do it.
Righty-O, and let's not forget, the dance of the 2 billy clubs and the Black Panthers who were dismissed.
Randy, did you not see the part where Holder agreed Guam was going to tip over with too many illegals?
Who thinks DHS wants to protect OUR BORDERS? If you do, I suggest looking here -http://www.borderinvasionpics.com/BannedByDHS.htm...
Is the DHS serious about protecting the Borders? You decide -http://www.borderinvasionpics.com/BannedByDHS.htm...
Really, what was that all about?
Then King repeatedly told Holder that $$$ had already been spent to research the Constitutionality of Arizona to draft and to enact the law–did you notice how Holder completely dismisses King as though he said nothing. That was pure BS. You knew right there that the WH isn't interested to know the Constitutionality of that law–all they're interested in is finding a way to shut it down.
PLEASE: DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS.
just another idiot in the assclown tent. Every day it just becomes more apparent that the ones who make the laws, are lawless. Holder is ia freakin freakshow. But it is all good, cause we have this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsnRDcHdf_A
I hear you, Hobbes. Notice how this administration seems to be comprised of little nervous types? Especially under questioning. Long on talk but short on substance–often referred to as verbal flatulence.
They're nervous because they're all full of sh*t, basically, as is (if I may) their brother in chief. (Yea, man).
Does Holder like any whites at all? He seems to be 100% racist.
My condolences to his family. To God with speed, Mr. Herbert J. Beatty.
God Bless you.
The real problem with the WH is that Governor Brewer accomplished in her state what this Administration had little interest in accomplishing for the country, so that must have been embarrassing enough. But that she's a Republican, too, is even more galling.
(This crooked cabinet has been too busy dismantling our Constitution to deal with illegal aliens, whose votes helped put this monstrosity in office and whose votes the Democrats want to use, again, for the next election.)
Really like your post. Thank you.
Great job Mr. King, this is what people want and need, to shine the light on the politics of ignorance. Keep it up, the show me state is watching!
Congressman King, thank you very much for your valuable service and keeping the American people informed.
As you know this country is in a terrible crisis and the present Administration is a utter failure. Our nation badly needs people like you with the leadership and courage to hold these actors accountable and not let up for if they have free reign we are certain to lose our Republic to tyranny.
Further, we the people are sick and tired of the wasteful spending on earmarks, bailouts and corrupt programs like Fannie and Freddy. We are opposed to big government and entitlement programs, and a President who believes there is a Constitutional right to interfere with free-market enterprise. We the people don't appreciate our government thinking they have the right to run roughshod over the Constitution and the individual States, nor do we appreciate a President who uses rhetoric to inflame tension among the races for political self-interest. Yet I know you have heard these complaints many times before, and I know you understand what needs to be done.
Therefore, I'll just end by asking you to please keep on the same path as come November we are going to turn out this Congress and give you the support with people who have integrity and a great deal of respect for our Nation, the Constitution and above all else the American people.
Thank you and good luck.
Could be. Things like that get around pretty quickly, though.
Holder's the AG and should have had more together when he sat down before that panel–he had some nerve, but he also seems to be consistent with this amateur administration. All any of them can do is talk a game, but not one of them can play clean for their lives.
They're all a travesty of government.
They most certainly are! You got that right.

"As long as the rattlesnake is dead, I ain't too particular who was holding the shotgun at the time…"
Same situation with Oliver North confirming Mullah Omar's capture.
The reaction of most Big readers: Hell yeah, score one for the good guys!
The reaction of lib trolls: Screw Oliver North!
Yeah, he stumbled there but not afterward when he nailed Holder about the 'court process' regarding the illegal aliens. He had his ducks in a row with that question.
AG Holder, alas, did not. Again.
If there is one thing that makes Progressives/ Socialists see red faster than anything else it is having to answer questions that they feel entitled not to have to answer. Especially when it reveals how they lack common sense and show their hidden agenda.
What a blaring hooting mediocrity Holder is!
He can't even lie and extemporize with any style.
That's one thing you have to credit Red Hussein for, at least when he lies in front of the public he's got a smooth delivery. He does it with rhythm and style.
This Holder guy needs a little more jive in his shuck, or maybe a little more shuck in his jive. Either way his performance is sorely lacking. Maybe he should borrow one of his boss' teleprompters.
I'm prepared to watch my government's employees lie to me. But I have a right to expect a better performance than I could get from my corner drug dealer.
Oh, and God Bless Steve King.
He nailed the slimy bastard right in front of God and everybody. Nailed him good. And from a couple of different angles too.
ahhhh, he had an early lunch!
The only loyalty The O has is to himself and his vision. Let's not forget he disavowed his Grandmother and those that helped him get were he had to get. When he had too. Time will tell. We'll all find out together.
I'm not sure why, Mj, but your comment just cracked me up. I have to admit how refreshing a sight and sound to watch and hear men behaving like, well, real men.
Now I know why I laughed–because what you wrote is the simple truth.
That's all they ever do is dance and skirt and avoid revealing their know-nothingness. When they finally do act, we all cringe and pray that the collateral damage isn't beyond the scope of repair.
They're not interested in governing this country–that's why their own incompetence doesn't phase or bother them. All they're interested in is making our country their own.
Very nice.
Holder will probably not be AG for too much longer because he is a liability to this most unpopular moron of a President.
TR………I'm kinda proud of our boy Ted Poe, do ya happen to know where his home district
is located? I saw that clip of him questioning Holder when I first awoke this morning and
LMAO,………made my whole day. I wonder if Teds' down home demeanor caught Holder off
guard of if Eric is really that dim-witted.
Rep. King, that was just sheer joy watching you verbally back Mr. Holder into a corner. He sure was leaning heavily on those ropes, wasn't he?
We need more like you and fewer like him in Washington.
He is still protecting the members of the New Black Panther Party who engaged in voter intimidation.
Mjolnir, hafta disagree, if that had been one of your NM Reps you would have wanted to
give credit where it's due. Besides you know how we Txnz are, it's jist that TX pride thing.
423,………….Limbaugh said, when the Guam thing happened, that Johnson has serious health
issues and is by necessity taking heavy meds. He kinda discouraged ridiculing this guy.
Yank
We need more like Steven King and T Poe and less like Eric Holder..
We'll be a better Union for it…
