Action Item: 100% Repeal of ObamaCare
by Rep. Steve King (R-IA)President Obama, speaking at a rally in Iowa City on March 25, challenged opponents of Obamacare who have vowed repeal. To repeal advocates, the President said, “Go for it.”

Before the first light of dawn on the morning after this Pelosi Congress sent Obamacare to the President’s desk, I started the process to repeal. My decision to take this fight to and through the next election and probably through the presidential election in 2012 was not a knee jerk response to a legislative defeat. It is a commitment to the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, real health care reform and American Liberty.
President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid – the troika that controls America today – have long had designs to shove America into the abyss of socialism. Their philosophy, political power and cynical effort to expand the dependency class all lined up to make Obamacare the law of the land. The highest price every generation of Americans will pay is not measured in dollars but in lost liberty.
America is a unique nation with unmatched vitality. The rights and liberties which transformed the “Dream” into the reality of American Exceptionalism are written on our hearts. We have a vitality that is unmatched because we have skimmed the cream of the crop off every donor civilization.
Millions have flocked to America because of the promise of liberty. They have joined natural born Americans to form the most vigorous culture on the planet. Every preceding generation has had the freedom to succeed and the freedom to fail.
Obamacare is a reversal of the formula that has produced the world’s unchallenged greatest nation. For these reasons, 100 percent of Obamacare must be repealed.
With the massive costs of Obamacare, we cannot hope to pay our debts in our lifetimes or our children’s. Under Obamacare, costs will go up and quality will go down. Under Obamacare, we must go all the way to the Supreme Court to reestablish the Constitution as a pact limiting the reach of the federal government.
However, all of the aforementioned will not crush our national spirit like the oppressive weight of mandated dependency. Obamacare takes away the American right to manage our own lives.
The rights to “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness” are prioritized rights. No one has the right to kill in the name of liberty just as no one has the right to take your liberty in pursuit of their happiness. Obamacare is a “taking” of our liberty.
We the People understand this intuitively and reject this injustice which will, if not repealed, bring about the American decline. We cannot “hide the decline” or “manage the decline.” We must decline the decline by repealing 100 percent of Obamacare.
Every provision of Obamacare must be repealed – not selective parts of it. Not by preserving a short list of less egregious components. Obamacare must be ripped out completely, lock, stock and barrel – root and branch – no vestige left behind – not a DNA particle of Obamacare retained.
The toxic stew of Obamacare would taint every effort to reform and give the next generation of leftist politicians their talking points for another assault on our liberty. Republicans will either stand unanimously together for 100 percent repeal, as we did against the bill, or our ranks will be split and our effort defeated.
The voracious appetite of the leftists to consume American Liberty has spontaneously created a new class of activists whom I define as the “constitutional conservatives.” They are the 9-12 Project groups, all the Tea Party groups, and the organizations who join in their efforts.
Constitutional conservatives are emerging as the new majority makers and will not support a partial repeal. They stood in the streets, town halls and capitols of our states and nation to “Kill the bill.”
No one demonstrated to “kill the most egregious aspects” or “preserve the least egregious aspects” of Obamacare. This is an all or nothing fight from this point forward. Either we will be unified, energized and resolute for 100 percent repeal or we will be divided and deservedly conquered by Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
This is a life or death struggle for the soul of America. We are the redoubt of Western Civilization. It is our charge to set the standard for the world.
From an upstart nation formed on the profound belief that all men are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights” we have, over the past century assumed “among the Powers of the Earth,” the responsibility of sole superpower. We have defeated our enemies and saved Western civilization for the world.
We are not a nation created to mimic mediocrity. Our charge is to take this nation upwards to a new level of liberty and prosperity built upon the pillars of american exceptionalism.

I am for a complete repeal, unfortuneately until we get a 2/3 majority in the senate or a new president, it will not be a legislative reality. The best tools we have now are the supreme court and defunding the bill.
Exact reason Justice Steven's is retiring. CHICKEN!
Completely 'repeal" anyone who signed on to this obamination. Mandatory expatriation with forced deportation and no repatriation–ever. It's "kinder and gentler" than hanging them which is really what traitors deserve.
Oh we something really special for the new SCOTUS position that will be opening up, you teabaggers are going to love this one.
Justice delayed and fought for is all the sweeter. We did not get to this apathetic point in 6 months or a year and we have to work hard all across our country to educate and engage the taxpaying citizens to mount a concerted effort to beat back the stench of progressive creep. We can do it by learning, sharing and organizing all across the country. It is time to bring back American Pride and destroy the Socialism Society which is in direct opposition to our values. We can win the war even though we have lost a few skirmishes. Arm yourself with knowledge and facts, investigate and expose the traitors and the agenda they seek to impose.
Obamao and his regime say the opposition to his socialist / marxist agenda are getting violent. When middle America starts feeling the true effects of his agenda and REALLY start pushing back to repeal it, will he criticize the violence SEIU and left wing organization's violence? I don't think so. In fact he will be encouraging it. After all a revolution and country division is what he wanted all along.
The best tools we have now are obtaining a majority in the house in November (so, yes, we can defund the bill) and to take it up to the supreme court. But the supreme court won't be able to repeal the entire bill. They will only be able to rule as to the unconstitutional portions of the bill. Our only real hope is to take the house in 2010 and then the senate and presidency in 2012 for full repeal.
And with Stevens stepping down, it's filibuster time! Block it! Hold up the nominee!!!! But then do any of the GOP has the balls to do that? We'll see.
So, stupid anon has a repulsive nominee for SCOTUS in mind to replace JP Stevens. Good luck with that. The swing vote is Kennedy anyway.
If Obamacare is repealed, but "healthcare" isn't fixed at the same time, we're just waiting for the next socialist President with a congressional majority to install single payer. So the "repeal" campaign must also "replace" or fix the problems. Get insurance out of the hands of the companies and affordably into the hands of the individual with market based solutions. Get the government, lawyers and unions out of the equation.
The entire enterprise would be more successful if real non-corrupt reform were implemented. I say it's really time to reform progressive corrupt government based healthcare.
Congressman King should be careful or he may end up the Kangaroo Court of King Henry Waxman for saying the emperor has no clothes. I understand there is still time on the docket After Caterpillar and AT&T week after next. Seems like those that point out that the milk was curdled when it arrived are jailed while the milkman gets a party.
Lazy Jack.

AND we have something really special for you sphincter-stretchers. TRAILS and INVESTIGATIONS.
True Story:
I do not let my little ones watch more than one hour of television per day. With one exception. C-Span. If I don't feel well and need to get them to stay still C-Span works. Added bonus I get to spend time with them teaching them about the Unite States of America. So one day my little one comes in and say's "Daddy can we watch Steve King tonight?" My mouth hit the floor. The prior night we watched Mr. King give a speech about the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
"To repeal advocates, the President said, “Go for it.”" And WE THE PEOPLE will.
My hope for the supreme court is to eliminate enough of the bill (especially the health care mandate portion) so that the rest of it could not be put into practice. This would be mainly due to the cost, if Obama finds that his methods of revenue are unconstitutional and he still wants his precious bill, he will have to go in front of the country and tell us that he is borrowing another $1T from China or severely increasing taxes, I do not think he would do either, so the entire bill would have to be re-written to get something that is cost-pallatable.
Repeal of the removal of pre-existing conditions? Repeal the dropped coverage and rate hikes from Insurance companies? Repeal the one shred of hope for the uninsured? This bill gives a chance for the 30,000,000 people who lost their jobs and lost their insurance. Why isn't LIFE an unalienable right in this country? I fail to understand how insuring the sick and poor constitutes the end of western civilization. If repealing healthcare is a life and death struggle, you're on the side of death.
How did you know "anon" was part of the sphincter-stretcher community?
Barney, is that you?
Rita, it's up to us to hold the GOPs' privates to a very hot appliance (no CFLs, please).
Grind progress in the country to halt! USA be damned until Republicans are back in charge! Let's ensure that in this environment of global recession and a historically high unemployment rate don't affect the need to show the world our country is incapable of governing itself or moving forward whatsoever!!!!
Ha, some news for you fools who think the TEA party "patriots" are all about smaller government. http://www.salon.com/news/tea_parties/index.html?...
"It's remarkable how often you hear tea partiers making exemptions for their favorite kinds of government spending…
we've now got the spectacle of an aspiring tea party leader, Tennessee congressional candidate Stephen Fincher, who's actually been collecting $200,000 a year in farm subsidies from the federal government. He's not the only one, either. Indiana Republican state Sen. Marlin Stutzman, who's running for U.S. Senate and is another conservative purist favorite, hauled in $156,907.54 from 1997 to 2006…
It's not welfare that the tea partiers are against. It's welfare that they can't get a piece of."
Dont like commies much, do ya Kevin? Oh, excuse me, they call themselves progressives now. When someone takes an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution of the USA the American people expect them to just that. Throw the bums out, then throw the book at em!
To everyone that wants to repeal. Do you really think Obama wouldn't just veto it? The only sure fire way to get America back to what the founders wanted is focusing on all of our state legislatures by calling and emailing them to have them put together an Article V convention. Each state gets one vote, 2/3rds vote yes, it's final, no chance for veto or anything. This would also restore another principle item that the Founders wanted, checks and balances, we will go back to when we did not vote for our senators the state legislature would appoint them for us. The only reason they changed this is because they felt they couldn't get things done in Washington. In my book, the more things they don't get done, the better we are off.
Andrew, Check the math. There are not 30,000,000 citizens without insurance. That stat counts ever single person who was without insurance for a single day. Many were between jobs for a few days and many others had just been dropped from parents coverage when graduating college before starting work. Many seniors go naked if self pay for a few months before Medicare starts. It is the old story, figure do not lie but liars do figure.
The uninsured could be insured for a fraction of the cost of this law. This law is all about a huge power grab for the federal gubmint. The cost of this abomination of a law will sink this country financially. If you don't believe me, take the weekend off and read the law. You will be sick.
With a conservative House, there will be no funding. ALL SPENDING BILLS must originate in the HOUSE. A conservative Senate can also refuse to pass it as well.
Checks and balances exist from a democratically elected majority. It's always unfortunate to be on the losing side but more than half the country voted the other direction. Working towards accomplishing nothing at a critical time in our country's history and working against a democratic system is about the most unpatriotic thing you can do.
Great cartoon on “Above His Pay Grade” athttp://drawfortruth.wordpress.com/category/health...
The BIG problem with calling a Constitutional Convention is that once it is convened anything is on the table. These leftist powermongers, with the help of the LSM could concieveably get this piece of sh!t law put into the Constitution! Or some other nutty idea. Too dangerous. Last resort.
Andrew,
You should actually do some research into what the bill is actually about and wake up. Stop drinking the kool-aide and spoutting liberal BS talking points. They don't work anymore. We don't care if you accuse us of being on the side of death. Your side has no facts or logic to back up your claims, we have your own bill with which to hit you with, its a losing argument for you.
Call us all the names you want, we will continue to ignore you, and when your free money and your free HC never shows up, your taxes are oppressive, and your quality of life is soo low you finally wake up, we will accept your heart felt apology for being such an ignorant piece of sh!t.
Why does the supreme court get "line item veto" but the president does not??????? To the supreme court: ALL OR NONE!
Thank you Steve. My biggest worry is not that we will tear it apart, the people that we elect will go to Washington with the best of intentions. I am more worried that the debate and compromise process will result in the worst of both communism and free markets: a completely bastardized system where bureaucrats come out of the woodwork to mess with us in the most confusing ways… kind of like the Byzantine tax code which we all agree is rife with corruption opportunities.
The commies creation is Satanic, therefore it must be destroyed… no equivocating!!
Yea good luck with that, not going to happen with BHO in office. Rep King what are YOU doing to STOP this radical machine of DC? No, I'm not asking what rhetoric you preached this week like the rest of the spineless republican politicians of DC. BHO has taken a major step in disarming this country and no one in the republican party has spoken up to condemn him. Should we the people expect 2/3's of the Senate to not ratify this treaty he just signed?
What have you truly done to stop this machine? How many walkouts have you initiated? How many govt "shutdowns" did you start? How many sit-ins have you sponsored? How many investigations into your questionable "colleagues" on the other side did you initiate?
Talk, talk, talk is all we hear from you Ms. Bachman, Mr. Steele and Mr. Boehner and NO ACTION. When will the republicans in DC get spine and take a stand with the corrupt socialist party (formerly democratic as of 3/21/10)? The American people are tired, tired of the lies, deceit and empty promises. Tired of hearing "we are going to fight this" yea with words again and whining? We want to see actual actions no threats of/ or silly letters being sent b/c your opposition DOES NOT CARE WHAT WE SAY, LET ALONE WHAT YOU SAY. The republicans are the only ones right now who can start something of a "physical" nature. So tell me, us, when will the repubs be staging a walkout? Hmmm? WHEN? When will criminal charges be filed at those you know darn well belong behind bars for dodging taxes or taking bribes? When will the repubs start outing those who are corrupt? Our founding fathers signed a death warrant for what they believed, it was called the Declaration of Independence. They had the guts to put their lives on the line for what they believed WHEN WILL YOU DO THAT? When will republicans literally put their lives/careers on the line if need be? Are you prepared to do what is necessary to save this Republic? Correct me if Im wrong but didn't each and every one of you TAKE AN OATH to this country to defend it and DIE for it if need be? No, we aren't asking you to start violence but to put yourself, your career, your reputation on the line to that degree as our founding fathers HELL YES!
So when should "We the People" expect this rising up of the republican party?
We are waiting………..

…Socialist useful idiot 'Guest' cites socialist useful idiots 'salon.com' to accuse Tea Party, which socialists fear and hate, of being socialists…
…the comedy writes itself when these moron Soros troll-dribblers show up…
Andrew is EXACTLY the kind of person the democrat party counts on to keep them in power. No thought of consequences. No thought of the damage this bill will do. He only hears 30 million more will get insurance and that's all that matters. No deeper thought than that.
None of this "full speed ahead transformation" would be taking place if people would do one simple thing: TAKE ACTION! Go to the state attorney general's office in Texas, and DEMAND this GOP elected AG obtain and investigate the documents that were used to validate OBAMA was eligible to be POTUS. State law in Texas makes political party officials legally compelled under state law. Its very simple, its very easy. Yet nobody does anything. TEXAN'S are proving to be cowards just like all of the other 49 states of DIMWITS. I guess its that Bush influence that has destroyed courage and bravery in the great state of Texas?
"Every provision of Obamacare must be repealed – not selective parts of it. Not by preserving a short list of less egregious components. Obamacare must be ripped out completely, lock, stock and barrel – root and branch – no vestige left behind – not a DNA particle of Obamacare retained."
Obamaocare is like a cancer! And Rep. King you are so correct in our need to get rid of every bit of DNA particle. I believe that come November when both Houses are returned to Congress men and women who are there to represent the people again, we will be energized to take this out of the system….it will be like chemotherapy and radiation treatment on the cancerous tumor of Obamaocare.
Rep. King I appreciate your directness in this article. I feel you truly understand the ground swelling that is occurring in this country…..Consititutional Conservatives is a movement growing and will not be contained!
The numbers are way off (recently Obama put it back up to 50 million) so let's not keep parroting the lib talking points, er, numbers.
According to the Kaiser Family Foundation (24 June 2009) the actual number of uninsured ranges from 8.2 and 13.9 million. And remember, a larger percentage of this can actually afford to buy it, they just choose not to (I'm young and healthy and will live forever)
Andrew, does it make sense to allow people to go without car insurance and then after an accident get coverage. This is essence is what removal of pre-existing conditions does. It does however make sense to charge people more if they have a pre-existing condition because they will be utilizing more of the healthcare dollars than people who aren't sick. Still have a problem with this concept? Explain to me why you wouldn't be willing to put your neighbor who has multiple DUI convictions and is driving on a suspended license on your insurance policy. That's right…..he's a huge risk and if he gets in an accident your rates are going to go up and given his history…that's quite likely.
Second, the 30 million people without insurance that have been referenced from the start of this debate haven't all lost their jobs and their insurance. Many of them chose, yes chose, not to purchase insurance. And, they have jobs.
While there are MANY improvements to be made with healthcare, most of them start with removing government influence and interference in healthcare and opening up a free market…..no, this currently does not exist. Free market would imply that consumers purchase their health insurance directly – most don't, their employers do. Free market would imply you could buy your insurance from a company based in Maryland while living in Arizona – you can't the Federal Government doesn't allow this. Free market would mean when you went to the doctor you could barter for a discount if you paid with cash and saved him the paperwork and waiting 30-60 days to be paid by a third party – you can't, Medicare prohibits this.
Also, you think healthcare will improve by adding 30 million people access to Dr.s now that they have health insurance? Did you ever play musical chairs as a kid? In that game you always had one less chair then people playing. We just added 30 million people who now have access to a finite number of doctors in this country. Still think Obamacare will improve your healthcare or the healthcare for people who previously didn't have insurance? It's only going to be harder to get in to see a doctor now.
Yes, there is certainly a lot of reform to be addressed in healthcare but the abomination of Obamacare addresses non of these issues. It's not about improving access or quality of health care…it's about control.
We'll just let time tell the tale of that one. Besides, if the justices strike this down, it would be upholding the status quo, not exactly the definition of an activist judge (who are traditionally on the left and considered in your circle of trolls to be a good thing). And forgive me for being to the point, but who exactly made you a lawyer? And honestly, the people who rely on taxpayers are the sh!t like you, the libs! Unlike you, I have paid taxes for my entire adult life!
Anon is my favorite George Soros Queer-Boy. Signed NJ Teachers Union.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to give tea party movers good links anon. <wink wink>
"Recently we posted a terrific interview of Kathryn Welling with LTCM's former General Counsel, James Rickards. The lawyer turned economist, who is now a director of Omnis, posts the following stunner on the implications of the endless sovereign debt glut and the Keynsen abortion that every developed economy has undertaken. As the man who survived (and, well, created) the original market "systemic" event, Rickards should certainly be heard by all those who believe the government can sustain the latest, and by all measures, last iteration of the global reflation Ponzi."

I had no idea the tea party had leaders. The tea party is all the way back from history. YOU are a tool. Enjoy your role
Wouldn't this be more of a power-grab for private insurance companies? The bill will cost money, but over a decade the costs are nominal compared to the waste of our current system. The real financial bleeding comes from two unnecessary wars, not healthcare coverage for the poor.
What about the unemployed? All your counter-arguments ignore the current state of unemployment and it's affects on families coverage. Most part-time jobs (being the majority of any jobs available) don't even offer insurance. Millions of families have lost coverage in this recession and are now one step away from bankruptcy if they ever encounter a single medical emergency.
My "deeper thought" on the matter is that healthcare should not be a for-profit industry that encourages dropped coverage and underpayments. Most liberals aren't happy about the bill either because it didn't include a public option to at least provide a higher degree of competition among insurance companies in non-competitive areas.
Why is LIFE an unalienable right in this country for health care but not for the unborn?
Why do the liberals fight for abortion law stating the government has no right or say so over a woman's body but this healthcare bill which does just that to EVERYONE's body is a good thing?
I haven't called anyone names, despite the hailstorm of random insults thrown my way. Both sides have facts and numbers to back up their claims. My point is that the bill has positive outcomes that should be maintained and a repeal will only cause more people to be run over by a corrupted healthcare system. The lives of our fellow citizens should not be weighed by the amount of profitability from a middle-man insurance provider and our founding fathers would no doubt agree.
I would love to see it repealed, but let's face reality. Obama would veto it, and there aren't enough Dem Senators up for reelection to achieve a super-majority of 2/3 in the Senate to repeal it.
We're going to have to win majorities that will DEFUND the bill and count on the Supreme Court to overturn it.
Unfortunately, Judge Napolitano says it will probably take EIGHT YEARS to work its way to the Supreme Court for a decision. That's TOO LATE for America!
No, you are wrong, because in the end the insurance companies will be forced out of business when more and more people are required to take out gubmint coverage. You will be locked into your current insurance plan and if you change jobs or even want to change your level of coverage you will be forced into a goverment plan. Eventuallly, as the pool of people with private insurance shrinks, the costs will rise to an unsustainable level and people will then be forced, out of financial necessity, to take out a government plan. That is when we will really be screwed because at that point we are captives of the government. As for the wars, if you do some simple research and don't just spout leftist talking points, you will see that the wars are actually a very small pecentage of our overall expenditures. Could that money be used for a better purpose? That, my friend, is a matter of political philosophy. No right or wrong answer.
Too bad for all the uninsured people who actually have cancer as they'll no longer be eligible with the return of "pre-existing" conditions.
Ever heard the old saying… "The path to he!! is paved with good intentions." ?
Parts are good and parts are bad….. why are you willing to accept a crap bill just to get a few good points? Shouldn't our leaders simply write a bill which contains all good things? Your logic is flawed, you should re-examine your position.
BTW telling people they are on the side of death is an insult, but as we can see that you have a flawed and biased way of thinking we won't hold your continued ignorance against you…. much.
All ANYONE needs to know about you is that you are too cowardly to reveal your identity. That's tells us all we need to know about your credibility. Your cred… is DEAD!
Yeah to bad….to bad you have cancer of the brain and your brain matter is being eaten away by your ignorance. No one dies because of a lack of money with the current system…Medicare and Medicaid kick in if there is a need for assistance.
Hey dickanon, go back to the your anarchist news site and back to playing with your weiner.
Those people still need healthcare, and without coverage they go to expensive emergency rooms where tax-payers foot the bill anyway. I'd rather pay an additional $5 for my insurance to cover my neighbor and anyone else uninsured than to continue paying for emergency room services that could be provided much more cheaply by a primary care physician. If my neighbor has cancer and can't afford treatment I'd absolutely like to do something to help them get treatment and spreading the cost out to everyone, especially those who can afford it more, only seems humane. We all pay for Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare right now and while some are "riskier" than others an insurance company should not decide who lives and dies.
The flaw with state-based systems is that Insurance companies will all move to where the tax breaks are the biggest and they can afford to offer the least amount of coverage at the highest price. When an emergency strikes a family they will not take the time to compare rates across states and across companies; they just need coverage. Healthcare should be a right the same as police, firemen or public schooling.
We must take back the house. They hold the purse strings and can cut off funding for Obamas health care and everything else he is ramming down our throat. I don't believe the senate will get a veto proof number. On a different front the supreme court better come through for us or all bets are off. That would open the flood gates for Obama and the progressives.
I think most liberals are fighting for women to have a choice rather than the government declaring what they can and can't do with their bodies. The healthcare bill doesn't actually affect nearly everyone currently with insurance.
REPEAL and REPLACE!!!!!
I will SUE if I am FORCED INTO BUYING A PRODUCT FROM OUR CORRUPT GOV!!!!
I carry my law book (Pocket Constitution) with me all the time!
I'd like to see them all wearing "bracelets" and doing hard time. Isn't it funny how Progressives always seem to have plans for us that always impose regressive lifestyle changes on us? Have you noticed that every time some throwback from the Muslim world causes problems for us, it never results in the diminution of the Muslims' freedom but, invariably, ours? Regressives are the ass-backward people they try to tell anyone who will listen the rest of us are. What was that Saturday Night Live skit? Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey? I'm thinking Dumb Thoughts by Jackoffs.
'Lovin that "sphincter-stretchers" thing. That's funny. I like the idea of renaming the DemoCretin party the Probationer party. Probably won't see it but…
It takes me no less than two weeks to see a doctor as it stands now. It remains to be seen what the outcome of the legislation will be and wait-times for the doctors office may not even be affected, especially if the number of uninsured fluctuates as much as the discussion here implies. I agree that healthcare reform has not accomplished everything it should but to assume that no one benefits from reform whatsoever is a dangerous conclusion. The right argued against Social Security and Medicare as well and now those are among the most popular social programs available. Time will only tell.
Can we use the new dictatorial powers they created to hang them all for treason and THEN change the laws back? That might increase the time between outbreaks of slavering rabid Progressives in Power. Worth a try, at least.
Why do you keep deleting anon's posts.
He's right on this one. As always.
I was stupid and wrong. It has no chance pf being repealed and we have no chance with the Supreme Court.
Thanks anon, for pointing out the error of my ways.
The 6,000 member "army" is of volunteer workers for social programs. I would be highly wary of drawing any assumptions based purely on Fox News.
That chicken is also a 90 year old bird. He was going to "retire" soon one way or another. He's just retiring now while obama still has 59 lackies in the senate to confirm a new leftist ass to replace his leftist ass.
nice try douche, try logging in with your own profile
Get a fucking job
Only because of their ignorance like yours….Any hospital is not allowed to turn anyone away. Every hospital I have had any dealings with always find away to make the finances met, though my family has never needed that I know it is there. And any physician worth their salt will work to get things going. I have never said I was opposed to Health Care Reform….just this monstrosity that is going to be the death of liberty. If you cannot see that then you are a racist, liberty hater, who licks Soros boots.
I just love when these hacks talk about "liberty" and healthcare in the same sentence. It's like, "the liberty to do what?" "Get gouged by big insurance and big pharma?" Liberty has and always will be a state of mind. Not a choice over insurance carriers or how in debt I become with medical bills.
Get a soul.
Some reform is better than no reform, yes. There are many vested interests who would like to preserve the status quo and any steps to move us forward and help those in need I support. Additional reform is absolutely necessary but repeal would be far worse.
Wait a minute – you said "When an emergency strikes…" ? So you expect that someone would pay nothing, then in an emergency they should run out and pay somebody $700 to pay a $3,000 bill for them?
How does that magic work? And why can't I pay you $700 to pay off a $3,000 bill for me?
"This bill gives a chance for the 30,000,000 people who lost their jobs and lost their insurance."
People who lost their jobs thanks to the same incompetent government that now wants to run health care.
"Repeal of the removal of pre-existing conditions? Repeal the dropped coverage and rate hikes from Insurance companies? Repeal the one shred of hope for the uninsured?"
Go talk to the people in MA who are living under the same "reforms" that ObamaCare is giving us and ask them how much they like it. Rates are 33% HIGHER than before the reform plan took place.
"The right argued against Social Security and Medicare as well and now those are among the most popular social programs available."
Let's see, the government is giving people something (Medicare and Social Security) for nothing and people like it. Now why would that be?
The Right has correctly pointed out that the cost estimates for those programs were GROSSLY underestimated by the proponents of the legislation that created those programs. Now you can't understand why we would be fighting tooth and nail against another new program with completely bogus cost estimates. Amazing.
[...] Big Government by Rep. Steve King [...]
What is it with liberals projecting?
Just because you enjoy being teabagged, doesn't mean we are going to follow through and do it to you.
That's not very deep.
What is unprofitable people will produce less of. What is profitable people will produce more of. It's simple economics, and basic human nature.
With freedom comes consequences. If living in this country requires me to pay a little more so that someone else can avoid death or poverty than I'll pay it. With the healthcare plan anyone with insurance will be able to keep it and see no changes. You can still risk whatever you'd like and no one's telling you otherwise. The only changes that will come are relief from unnecessary rate hikes and dropped coverage for the uninsured. For people like you, assuming you're insured, absolutely nothing is changing.
Trails? As in happy trails? Well happy trails to you too! Now watch this drive…to install the Court with liberals.
I completely disagree. Reform is/was needed, but now we have a job killing/take over bill which has nothing to do with true HC reform. What we now have is charity at gun point, not reform. As I stated above, your thought process is flawed, you obviously have not read nor do you understand what this bill actually does, and positive HC reform is not on that list. You really need to stop listening to the MSM for your info and start learning for yourself. People like you are part of the problem, not part of the solution.
Barring that, maybe faeries and unicorns will bring about health care reform repeal. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Tell us more about who you think is a Queer-Boy, and moreover why you devote quite so much time to the subject.
You don't have to, and the law as written doesn't even provide for a penalty if you don't buy into it. So give the all-caps a break.
Wow Joey Buttafuoco jokes. Did you just awaken from a 19-year coma?
Yup. Ronald Reagan is President, and I can sleep at night.
Shh…how can you expect to see this exact same article posted every three days with that kind of killjoy attitude? REPEAL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER, GIVE NOW!!
The current system of an insurance company middleman has been bleeding the system for years while only seeking to deny coverage. The CBO ranks cost estimates for both right and left legislation and has largely found reform to be deficit-neutral and only add a fraction to the national debt over a decade. There are other areas to reduce spending (like the military) but the lives of Americans should not be quantified as an expendable budgetary item.
Bobert: Obama is on tape yaking with Blago about selling Burris's sentate seat. Even if he doesn't get impeached the Obama show will be over. When you hear this it will knock your socks off.
Physicians stand behind insurance companies. Yes, doctors believe in assisting others which is precisely why they also support healthcare reform. I encourage you to go to an emergency room and see the true face of the uninsured. Or even attempt to go without insurance yourself for a while and pray you do not contract cancer or any other illness requiring treatment outside of emergency facilities–then you can begin calling others ignorant.
Yes, and in Mussolini's Italy, the trains ran on time.*
*actually, that was just PR. They really didn't.
Andrew. First, I apologize that other people are using foul language. That's not acceptable.
But "some reform" is better than "no reform" only makes sense if the reform is in any way shape or form, "good." The insurance companies that you don't like are completely in bed with Obama. Why don't you grasp that? The only change is that the big guns will make even MORE money, the smaller insurerers will be driven out of the market, and you premiums, just as they have in Massachusetts, will just soar.
Too bad you can't get past your liberal brain damage….no hospital can turn you down it is the law. I have known two different cases of young folks with cancer who got the help they needed. They made it through the system without health care initially. One had a brain tumor and the other was a twelve year old with an adult form of leukemia, both families had no insurance. And they are both alive cancer free….and they were not let go by the system. So your talking points from Soros don't work on me….I know from personal relationships that all was taken care of. So take you talking points to someone who might be convinced by your crap. Cause that is what it is, is crap!
Basic human nature is to assist others. It's the origin of civilization and society. Profit should not be derived from human suffering and death.
