When I was 18 and had no job skills and little knowledge about anything other than a high school education guess what I did?

Borrowed money to educate myself. And it has paid off wonderfully. Not only was I easily able to repay the loan with interest but I was able to earn far beyond and above what I could have without the education.

If you are so utterly convinced what they (the current admin) are doing works, by all means:

1. Call your credit card companies and increase your limits to their ceiling
2. On that same day, go out and MAX OUT EVERY CARD… at gumball machines and dollar stores
3. On that same day (just before you max out the cards), go to your bank(s) and get the largest loans, second/third mortgages you can… and buy every YUGO you can find

When you were 18, there wasn't a bank in America that would loan you more than they were convinced:

1. You could pay back

…or, failing that

2. That they could get their capital back (through goods you put up as security ~ if from a local bank… or through garnishing your tax refunds for 20 years ~ if through fed programs).

So, here's some 'food for thought'…

1. That time-tested, SUCCESSFUL business-proven way of "loaning" is all most reasoning adults in this country want from our SERVANTS in the government (and yes, that is, constitutionally AND historically what they are).

2. If our government actually "learned" anything profitable and useful (FOR THE COUNTRY), then yes… there would be an ROI to look forward to ~ and little-to-no hesitancy on the part of WE, THE PEOPLE to make such "loans".

BUT

…these folks are writing checks for amounts that NO skill/job/deal can repay (remember jharp, NO ONE risks more of their OWN goods, capital, or self ~ not even YOU ~ than they are convinced they can AT LEAST get back).

…and VA, NJ and MA, along with their ignoring of the results of every poll (on health scare, crap-n-tax, legalizing folks for their votes ~ not for their LOVE of our country, and desire to CONTRIBUTE TO ITS GOOD) for the last several months have proven… they haven't learned a damn thing.

If knowing these things makes us "stupid", then I'm more than happy to wear the shirt.
