Democrats Loot Food Stamp Fund; Cut Military Spending and More to Bailout Teachers
by SusanAnne HillerDemocrat priorities. As if the last 20 months haven’t been enough for the American people, this is just more incentive in November to vote the Democrats out. Because Medicare has been looted for decades, Democrats must now turn to the food stamp program for funds, while touting that this unpopular teacher bailout will not add to the deficit.

Via Fox:
Some House Democrats and advocacy groups are getting squeamish about the move to fund the $26 billion state aid bill by making cuts to food stamps, a federal assistance program currently depended on by nearly 41 million Americans.
[snip]
According to U.S. Department of Agriculture figures, the number of people on the food stamp rolls has been growing to record levels for 18 straight months. Nearly $5.5 billion in aid went out to beneficiaries in May alone. The number of May recipients marked a 19 percent increase from a year ago and the USDA projects that next year’s enrollment will reach about 43.4 million.
The Obama administration has pushed hard for the $26 billion bill. The White House argued that it is essential to protecting 300,000 teachers and other nonfederal government workers from election-year layoffs and will not add to the national deficit.
[snip]
“This proposal is fully paid for, in part by closing loopholes that encourage corporations that ships American jobs overseas. So it will not add to our deficit,” he said. “And the money will only go toward saving the jobs of teachers and other essential professionals…I urge members of both parties to come together and get this done, so that I can sign this bill into law.” emphasis mine
Same old rhetoric from Obama–punishing businesses–so it’s all ok. States wouldn’t want to follow New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s lead, would they? If the states could find the cuts, they wouldn’t need to pillage the American taxpayer, and then they wouldn’t need a bailout. California is broke, yet their teachers are the highest paid in the nation. So, private sector greed is bad, but public sector (taxpayer funded–as in, you are taking your neighbor’s hard-earned money) greed is good?
Everyone knows that what the Democrats passed is another bailout–but, while the Democrats help their teacher base and spin that it’s for the children during this election season, another segment of the Democrat base will eventually suffer–the poor and families on food stamps. How will they explain that away? Additionally, the military and other departments and programs will be hit hard as a result of this legislation.
Below is the list of budgetary rescissions compliments of the new “fiscal hawks” in Congress. It’s interesting how Democrats can find budget cuts and have no problem hurting the poor, working families, middle class, defense, and military, when it benefits the teachers and the unions on the US taxpayer’s dime.
If the Democrats are so willing to make these cuts (some permanent), reallocate appropriated funds, and rescind funds from the original stimulus bill of 2009 to meet the pay-go requirement, then why did they use unemployed Americans as political pawns in June when a deficit neutral unemployment bill was introduced and reported here on Big Government? They could have fast-tracked that bill so that millions of unemployed Americans could have continued to receive benefits without a break–all in a bipartisan manner.
The list is long, but it is important to read in full (also in pdf) to really see what the Democrats have done in order to help the teachers. I have highlighted some interesting ones in bold. Here we go:

I guess libs don't care about the children after all. Taking food right out of their mouths. Who do they think they are? Republicans?
Yeah! More political incompetence! Let's also dismantle the rest of the social welfare programs and we'll save a bundle (actually not being sarcastic there).
This will help our teachers keep from getting skinny like the starving kids.
The teachers unions desparately needed the money because they spent all they had to help Obama win. They need even more on another day since they didn't put money in the pension jar.
Didn't we learn anything from the story in California, welfare recipients need atm cards, not food stamps.
What kind of future are we funding for our children? That's why I'm into voting and politics now.
I'm not doing this because it is fun. I'm afraid for my children.
Already they will not have any of our wealth. But at least we could give them something more then debt if we tried?
Let them eat cake!
Come on people, nothing will get cut, we must remember this is for the children, and their sorry parents.
Obama and the current crop of Dumbocrats who have been elected to Office by those whom have made the choice to stay on the DNC Poverty Plantation have done more to promote Conservatism and the Founding Principals of our Constitution then anything Rush, Hannity, or Reagan could have ever done. These Anti-Capitalist, Anti-Constitutional, Anti-Individual Rights- Social Justice Obama Democrats have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that Ivy League Education is way over rated, Ivy League Econ 101 Courses are a complete waist of your parents money, The Collective Marxism Socialist Thinking Big Government does not work and these clowns should never be elected to run anything ever again. Obama and the Democrats are un-qualified to run a small chain of Taco Bells.
For that, we thank them.
Now they need to go.
Odd thing, though: When Republicans proposed to offset said extension with unused stimulus, Democrats ran to the press and said, “Mommy, mommy, the Repubwicans hate pwah people,” then held up the bill. Now the Democrats are all set to literally take food from the mouths of America’s homeless youth in order to keep teachers’ unions voting “D” in the midterms? Demoncrats: Redefining cynicism for the 21st century. http://bunkerville.wordpress.com/2010/08/10/teach...
If you have a household in financial trouble do you shut off electricity or do you cancel your cable?
Holy cow, with all the pork projects out there and special interest projects, they can't find something other than food stamps to cut?
Can any progressive answer this? How come the frivolous projects don't get cut? Heck I'd be all for cutting aid to Israel even.
But we see this time and time again. Some local or state gov can't pay the bills so they cut fire, police and teachers but NOT the superfluous programs… the green programs for example.
How much did the fed throw at useless green tech it could have used for this?
Democrats in Congress need the unused portion of the Stimulus for their own Retirement Fund.
The Stimulus will be used up in the Lame Duck Session.
It could after all be a very long time out in the Cold Political Wilderness for the Democrats.
I'd do the samething if I was a Dem. I won't give money to those who won't vote for me. This is the same play all Dems play since Gaea created them.
"Some local or state gov can't pay the bills so they cut fire, police and teachers but NOT the superfluous programs."
And how many of those state and local officials are "earning" $800,000/yr or more (or any other ridiculous overpayment)? Can't cut those salaries, now can we.
Every time a Bell (Ca) rings, another democrat becomes a millionaire.
First, this is a surprise that democrat's are at all concerned with paying for anything.
It sure shows us all that they will screw the poor in order to pay off their loyal teacher voting block. It shows their character–or lack of it.
I think you hit on it. This is about getting the Unions to kick the money back to the Democrats. Not very efficient, but since we're talking Billions, it doesn't have to be.
Police Officers and Firefighters do not show up at the Mayor's Office and Governor's Mansion with a Suitcase full of Hundred Dollar Bills though. Police Officers and Firefighters do not have to, they are Union.
Special Interest Projects People do show up with the Cash.
If all this spending is a stimulus for the economy, why are they reducing spending on military and defense technologies and programs? Why do the economic policies apply when it comes to cutting defense but not anything else?
I'll bet Democrats hated when Geranimals clothes went away … they must have a hell of time dressing themselves now…
They can't get anything right !!!!
First – Congratulations to Hiller for an effective attaack piece.. Wish Republicans would do more of the same – attack on the issues and not be distracted by the personal attacks by Dems aimed at distracting the electorate, and shutting down dialogue. American voter is owed substantive discussion on issues.
Is anyone surprised at this? There is so much half truth thrown around that its hard to believe anything coming out of this admin or Congress. There will be more robbing Peter to pay the Unions to get votes its pathetic.
I….believe…..unions…..needs…..are….greater…..than…..the….needs…..of…..the….individual.
See what they are doing playing to the unions…. looting us, screwing our military
WAKE UP AMERICA time is running out
It's the debt … slavery for your kids, by debt they will never be able to repay.
Don't forget the color purple! I just picked up oodles of Monopoly money off the floor, I could send ya some since the dollar is soon to be worth nada!
Not only has Chris Christie done a great job — . so has Virginia's new Governor. Virginia will have a 220 million dollar surplus in the fiscal year of 2010. He has made cuts where necessary and they were not easy ones.
Our local school district cut 300 jobs. In fact, my neighbor has worked for the school district for a long time and his position as department head was cut.
Hey California, call Bob McDonnell and he will show you how a balanced budget is achieved even after having two so called Democrat moderates as Governors messing things up for years.
Grew up in Maywood-Bell, Maywood which outsouced it's city operations because it's broke to multiple sources including Bell… ooops what will they do now? The entire LA basin and California in general was taken over by minority rule and libral progressives… Oh my, now they have proof positive the foxes have been eating the chickens.
I guess food stamp recipients just don't make the reliable political contributions the way teacher's unions do…
It's criminal!
Fact is they have NEVER cared for anyone but themselves. Everytime they create a new program it is designated to be ran by one of their operatives paid for by us.
you will vote democrat mmm… mmm..mmm
republicans are racist mmm…mmm..mmm
you will love big brother mmmm..mmm…mmmm
Let the rationing begin !
When unemployment and underemployment have skyrocketed the teachers get Viagra and kids go to bed hungry.
Why do the deadbeat welfare recipient states always expect the US government to bail them out? They can't and won't make budget decisions and they are beholden to unions. Why do they always say that they have to lay off teachers, police and firefighters? Why don't they start laying off those people that sit in their state and local government offices and sit at desks and play solitaire on their computers all day? How many mayor's, governor's, and adminstrative aides and advisors can we do without? How many public affairs and press aides and spokesman do we need? There sure is a lot of deadwood that needs to be chopped before cops, teachers and firemen.
Public sector unions and democrat politicians have driven this nation into financial ruin. It really is enough to hang some of these leftwing economic saboteurs for.
Record deficits
Record debt
Record number of people on food stamps
Real unemployment at around 20%
Record number of unaccountable czars
While Americans struggle to find work Hussein and his wife are burning away taxpayer dollars on luxurious trips and extravagant parties. Hussein and his wife are a national and global embarrassment.
Throw these leftwing fascists out in November and replace Hussein with a real American Conservative President in 2012.
Took food right out of the mouths of people that are in dire straights, yet fund Marie Antonette's vacation folly to Spain…Yep, good move RATS, as usual, you've got your priorities lined up. /S
Where's the private sector bailout to make sure we don't lose jobs? These leftwing DC swine could give us healthy tax breaks or even an income tax holiday for middle [$750,000 <] and low income workers but that of course would mean the DC swine wouldn't receive our taxdollars for them to distribute to their welfare parasites and union whores so they'll never go for that.
Bring on the tax revolt.
And today's stock market collapse is enough to hang some of these leftwing economic illiterates over.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Yertle:
I apologize for disturbing you as your economic philosophy continues to make wealthy people poor, and poor people destitute; but if those of your ilk stay true to form you will attempt to balance your social agenda on the back of the national security efforts of the United States. Further, if past is prologue, you’ll make a list of the highest cost programs and begin to chip away at them regardless of how they fit into the overall tapestry of this effort. Before you do this please ask President Obama to secure from our enemies, current and future, an agreement that they will not attack us or our allies. Maybe Mr. Obama can get the same agreement that Prime Minister Chamberlain had Hitler sign?
I bring up the most infamous goose stepping Nazi because, one of, if not the sole reason we and our allies crushed his brand of evil was a result of the meteoric advances in aviation in that time. Admittedly this worked both ways, the French built the useless Maginot Line – only to have it defeated by a Nazi flying an air cooled piston engine with a set of wings that could generate enough lift to overcome its combined weight. As the decades past the United States military has required airplanes that fly farther, faster, and higher. These characteristics enable the military to meet it’s objective of securing this country by sending a clear message to other nations around the world; if you choose to fight in the air, you will lose, so don’t waste time and resources trying. Unfortunately, they did not get the message. They began to innovate methods to detect and destroy our aircraft, surface to air missiles, shoulder fired missiles, and attempt to eclipse our aviation efforts. It soon became clear that to maintain air supremacy we would need an airplane that could evade these threats and still engage the enemy successfully.
At long last we have it in the form of various aircraft that can accomplish this goal to varying degrees depending on their mission objectives. Mr. Obamas budget erodes this capability, and reinforces our current, and future adversaries notion that they can take us in the air. Please stand against it. Military aviation is the lynchpin of our national defense do not allow it to be routed in search of economic social justice (someday someone will have to explain that to me, to give to one you must take from another, just because they have more does not make it justifiable to take it, and in taking it from someone else, you diminish the very desire to make more of it). In fact stand against any effort that would erode our capacity to defend ourselves. In addition I cannot conceive of any greater stimulus for the economy then defense spending. Assembly lines already exist, workers stand ready to create product, lines of raw material supply are well established, and the propensity to spend the profit domestically on research and development is one of the highest of any industry.
In closing, if I were in your position analyzing and debating the cost and benefits of the various parts of the defense budget I would only consider if that weapon system protected my child, while giving him or her the ability to accomplish their mission, would I support it? If the answer is no than I would push for increasing those capabilities that would accomplish that goal. I would never take dollars from that budget to support domestic programs that, but for our strong defense, would not exist in the first place. Frankly, If we are all dead the only program we will need is the body bag program that FEMA runs. Remember that defending this country is an ongoing never ending effort that exists on, and under the sea, on land, and in the air; but if we seed supremacy in the air, or one day in space, no weapon system will ever accomplish its goal of defeating the enemy before they even chamber the first round. We are blessed that we have so many people willing to volunteer to protect us the least we can do is make damned certain we present them with a better mouse trap than the enemy has. If we one day become the paper tiger we were prior to World War Two we will incite the wider wars we work so hard to avoid; if that day comes even you will be singing “Praise the lord and pass the ammunition.”
Respectfully,
The libs are on a slipperly slope cutting food stamps for the higher turn out union voters for the upcoming elections.
The US FED government should have zero (that is $0.00) funding for any of these social program-they are not powers granted by the consitution. The only poweres are to promote the general welfare, not to provide it.
We need to " RESCISSION" these morons into another universe so they can't breed anymore here on earth!!
They are going to bankrupt this country so the union fat cats can line their pockets and make sure that Hussein Mohammad Obama has money for his campaigns. AND…this is just the beginning. Wait for the lame duck session to start.
Food stamps will not be cut. The spending will be reinstated before the actual cuts are supposed to take place. These cuts were not popular, and they take place in the program years down the road. By the time that comes around, they will be reinstated. Why?
1. The spending cuts take place in the future, so money will still have to be printed now to pay for the current outlays
2. These cuts are just a way of being PayGo compliant. But since PayGo already allows unsustainable spending, the notion that these congresspeople are being responsible with our money is a farce.
3. Later, Congress will claim that it is impossible to remain PayGo compliant, and simply throw the rule out. Thus this bill accomplishes spending while kicking the can of responsibility a little further down the road.
Sadly, even the most rabid marxists of the House and Senate know this.
Phasing out food stamps so people don't trade US dollars for them.
This "UNION THUG" Bill is, in my opinion, intended to Bankrupt ALL States (other than Texas) by 2012. I would hope that Governors & State Legislatures refuse this Union Bailout. They'll be 50% more in the red by this time next year …at best. I foresee TX …the only state not qualified to get any $$$, to see a huge influx of population growth.
This specific bailout is scheduled to be paid off by us taxpayers in 10 years …so much for PAYGO. Corrupt, criminal Congress.
Another payoff for the union shills
Teachers and others who have no skill
Except fleecing the hardworking taxpaying Joe
Who is expected to keep forking out dough
Maybe it is time to storm Barry-Bob's Bastille!
Maybe I'm evil, but I think that food stamps are a joke anyways, people figure out a way to get their alcohol and smokes with it, or gamble (i.e. california debit card system). I'm for taking money out of foodstamps, but give it back to the taxpayers, not the unions.
Let us see here… Feed kids, or create and support institutions that keep us in power? Kids don't vote so… We can always come up with a new spending plan to feed them later when it becomes a crises. We like those union votes and we surely don't want to give up on our habit of rewarding bad behavior.
Aren't they clever?
Stop it! You are being too logical. These knuckleheads only think in emotional terms. They won't understand it.
Let's ask Al Gore where the key to that lock box is now – /smirk/
Within the context of a representative form of government fiscal spending is an unlimited activity. This is unavoidable due to the impact of Rational Choice Theory and history bears this out as being 100% correct in every instance over the past 3,000 years.
If you can't limit spending, then you better find a way to mine unlimited revenues, otherwise; history tells us the liberals will bankrupt the country and then create a dictatorship that revives economic feudalism.
Choose.
Sorry, I'll go back to the message approved by the State Media Collective.
Pelosi needs to call the House back…she forgot one "hand out"! The Russians need 15 billion to fight their wild fires. Putin has a 'right' to be bailed out too!
You obviously were (and are) a Geranimals hater. Those of us who are color blind can only wish for those days when our clothes matched and we had the confidence to get on with our lives. I can't afford them now and can only hope the Obama Administration will change things so I can get some free clothes.
After all, they bankrupted my business, I have a $12,000 tax lien, my house is in foreclosure and we have over $100,000 in unpaid hospital bills. You'd think I had stimulated the economy enough to qualify for some Geranimals…
I got $7,425,008,294.00 in Program Cuts.
Has anyone else added it up?
Why can't all conservatives form a group? We could call it something like "NAACP" (National Association for the Advancement of Conservative People). We could form some sort of union. We all then agree to stop paying taxes until the entire government decides to start doing what we agree on. Impeaching Obama, Pelosi, and Reid to start with! There has to be a way of getting their attention, or getting them to care about our issues. What could they do, throw 80 million americans in jail? I don't think so! This is "The land of the free… Home of the brave…. is it not? Why should we just sit around and take it up the a**? They (govt) are not supposed to be able to force us to do anything. Just a thought!
Ahhh! The socialist elite at work again. I guess we can't vacation or play golf for a while.
We have Representatives and Senators here in Maine that represent millions of acres of trees, what a waste of money.
The RNC should be fast tracking some commercials built around this, blatantly stealing the MoveOn.org agitprop style.
Just picture:
Little Inner City Johnny, walking along, his body slumped from his heavy pack:
"My school has lots more teachers now, but now that my family lost food stamps, I'm too hungry to do my homework at night."
Cut to Obviously Pregnant Mom with small child in tow:
"I'm glad the preschool has enough seats for my daughter, but without help, how will I feed her and her little brother?"
Then the voice over explaining how Pelosi-Obama-Reid set up to pay teachers with food stamp money.
Of course it would help if the Republicans in Congress introduced a bill to restore the funding first, then support it even if it does add to the deficit, and pin that on the Dems as well.
"We do stand for fiscal responsibility. But after the Democrats stole food from the mouths of children to pay off the teacher's union, we had to do something, even if it meant voting to increase the deficit because the Democrats refused to follow the law."
cut all aid to illegal aliens!
All in favor? Say Aye!
Nice!
Democrat liberals are just like a swarm of locusts. Nothing left after they've been there.
Best one yet! All in favor.
Oh they got everything right! Bankrupt America. Pay back Unions, and Special Interest backer$. Scriew middle America, and jet back to Mansions and International Vacations.
Leave the Dictator of the Day in Charge to keep the lower class and Illegals on Welfare, and voting "D" and keep the middle class working their tails off, paying 60% of their paychecks in Taxes!
They know exactly what they're doing. Chapter by Chapter,"Rules for Radicals" as Glenn explained it long ago.
I agree 100%. If we don't take Legal Action fast, we'll be helpless! They are carrying it out Chapter by Chapter of "Rules for Radicals" as Glenn explained long ago! We need to keep the States Law Suits coming. Attorney's General need to keep suing on behalf of State Sovereignty!
And someone should address Abuse of Power by Obama Admin. and Dereliction of Duty, Crimes against a Naton and Treason. Meantime audit all absentee, and write-in Ballots. Voter Fraud is rampant!
It all rests on State Sovereignty now, because the White House is temporarily occupied by Marxists, intent on Total Dictatorship, and Mexico is playing a HUGE role with Obama's Building of his Global World Order.
He probably will take a 2nd Office in Mayor Bloomberg's Mosque in NY! You know the area where Radical Islamists Mass Murdered 3,000 innocent people who just went to work that day, on Sept 11th……….
It's called Obama/Progressive Democrat/ Unions/Foreign Partnerships/ Dictatorship over a formerly FREE U.S.
I hate that they are stealing from the military to bail out Teachers Unions….The military
lay their lives on the line for our country…they deserve better!!!
This kind of bookkeeping is what got Greece to the condition it is in today.
The old rule for budget cuts was "cops and firemen first". Can't do that any more. They are union. Instead, they close libraries and cut food stamps and military funding. Without reducing the foreign military commitment. Then blame the Republican replacement for the cost of rebuilding the military stockpiles. (And the oil reserve.)
" B R A I N Z ! B R A I N Z ! B R A I N Z ! "
“This proposal is fully paid for, in part by closing loopholes that encourage corporations that ships American jobs overseas.
I guess he forgot about this or hoped we had…..
a federal agency run by a hand-picked Obama appointee has launched a $22 million program to train workers, including 3,000 specialists in IT and related functions, in South Asia.
Following their training, the tech workers will be placed with outsourcing vendors in the region that provide offshore IT and business services to American companies looking to take advantage of the Asian subcontinent's low labor costs.
Well said sir! I like the cut of your jib…
Thank you for your kind words and for your service. We are a service family too. Two of my kids served (one served in Bosnia and one served in Iraq), both of my brothers served and I served. We appreciate your sacrifices for our benefit.
We must keep uppermost in our minds the priorities. Food for the poor is MUCH less important than the Union pension. What selfish fraud has caused either of these programs to be Constitutional? The poor can be fed by the private sector with much greater oversight and efficiency, and Union pensions are the business of the Union. If the parasitic policies kill the host, they should bear those consequences, not come cryin' to me for money.
The Military was cut nearly in half by Clinton, some units abolished, no cooks, meals supplied by ARAMARK and guard duty and many other duties now performed by civilian contractors at 2 to 3 times the expense. Under Clinton training had to be cancelled as there was a shortage of ammunition and no oil for Navy Ships for training purposes. Obama has cancelled weapons required in the next 5 to 10 years, gutted NASA etc…..I fear we will be like the BRAVE Polish Army defending thier Country on horseback with swords and lances against the German Blitzkrieg Panzer mechanized Army. Under Democrats this COULD happen……GOD BLESS AMERICA……………..""PLEASE"".
Don't forget the US Taxpayers ar helping build mosque areoud the world too!!!

Only use that "seperation of church and state" thing when it effects Christians and Jews
I also think we found the place where we can put Obama's picture on money now from your pic above
In Philadelphia if you complained they stopped picking up your garbage.(Former Mayor TATE)
Hell yeah sign me up for my re-education! Wait, these camps are in San Fransisco aren't they. Never mind, I'll keep on hating. Thanks for the kind words of encouragement though!
We have failed our forefathers and now our children and grand children will hate us. Mercifull God have Mercy.
Seiu thugs are more likely to "vote"than foodstamp recipients. That was easy…
Maybe the Union workers should feed the kids and go fight the wars for a while. What a load of low life crap you people are. What makes you better than the average person out here trying to make ends meet.
Union workers should revolt and stand up for the American people who buy the products that you make. But they won't because they have sold their soul to the devil who runs the company store. In my opinion anyone who is in a union is just about less than worthless.
We should dismantle the IRS, public education, government unions and eventually the fed reserve while we're at it. Smith and Wesson sure make great revolvers don't they. Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya? Punk.
There is no doubt in my mind the dems did this specifically to use the source of funding as a weapon against the Republicans in Nov. I can see the attack ads now. They will say the republicans and tea partiers and other conservatives are anti-jobs for the poor and middle class. They will portray the right as evil criminals that wish to harm your children, not just in destroying your precious little child's (liberal) education, but because they forced the (democrat majority) congress to steal the food off your table.
Personally, I don't believe either should be funded. Food stamps or public education, that is.

The GOP destroyed the economy.

Sooo…they want to protect education, eh?
Borrowing from Carville, "It's the parents, stupid!"
The libs keep lobbing money at the "problem" of education in our country adhering to formulae about student/teacher rations, etc., etc.
With children and teens who were brought up to be respectful and behave themselves, one could have larger classes and still do a good job.
Instead, we're forced to keep the student/teacher ratio low so teachers can be glorified juvenile hall officers.
The really good teachers who don't have so much time invested that they cannot afford to leave at this point have already left.
They wearied of huge administrative burdens that had them dreading Mondays and Fridays with their in-boxes in the teachers' lounges full of reams of reporting and other paperwork necessary to feed the administrative monsters created in all these school districts.
The good nuns and brothers of the schools I attended had no such problems.
You behaved or you were punished, severely. You also feared with mortal terror having to face your parents if the principal, usually a tough nun, sent you home with a disciplinary note.
The "overhead" of those schools amounted to a handful of staff in the principal's office and a small staff at the diocese level, not buildings full of school district specialists sucking the coffers dry.
It's the parents, stupid!

GOP killed the economy so says one of Reagan's economic advisors.
Yeah, my best friend has an obsession with the auto mags. More specifically the pasadena make. For s&g's I like the 500. For practical use, can't go wrong with 357. I'll take a revolver for reliability any day.
look at which recent presidents have had balanced or close to balance budgets. not Bush, not Reagan. Clinton.
I'm glad to see that unions are once again getting a pat on the back and some more cash while the rest of the country suffers. *endsarcasm*
Food Stamps the Greatest…one of…DemoCrapp Scams known … so now the actual needy will starve so that the Union reBroadcasters of Marx to our chilkdren will eat. Time to cut govt cancers out. Nov2 or Nov3…whichever flushes the enemy within…down the toilet, Arm UP for they already have and are ready for their Coup. Are you?!?
Pray you are even allowed to vote in November…without an ACORNED predictable outcome…there is no security with computerized Voting Machines. The enemy lives within all American computers even now. Arm UP…they are ready for you.
Ok, I may not be the popular guy on this subject. I have been in the grocery store behind individuals talking on their iPhone (those contracts are cheap right?) while throwing a shopping cart full of food including some items that I don't buy because of the expense onto the belt for the cashier. Then paid for it with food stamps. So I'm not opposed to cuts in food stamps.
Look at the hundreds of millions being cut from the Military's budget for "Operations and Maintenance"! Our troops, who already have their hands tied by these same politicians by the "Rules of Engagement", should have the best and best maintained equipment to do their duty. This should outrage us all!
Obama will spin this as being the Republican's fault and they had to make these cuts…. he has been setting this up for a while now. So now what we are going to see is cuts in all things that do not support his agenda. After the elections, Republicans will be blamed for blocking more spending and holding back progress. This will be the chant for 2012.
Governors of all States. How about you all grow a spine and stand united against the out of control Unions like Chris Christie did in NJ. Highlight how they won't budge on something as simple as a pay freeze (not even a cut) during these tough economic times. Get it all over the media!
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good…
2 Timothy 3:1-3
Amen!
Did you look at the PDF link or just the highlighted items that were included in this article?
My AG Ken Cuccinelli was the first to file a 10th amendment lawsuit. He did so almost within an hour of O signing the Death Rationing Bill.
I hope more and more states are going to join in soon. O is attacking any state that goes against his regime so I hope states will stick to their guns because I believe he will get even nastier soon. I have been pleased that Jan Brewer didn't back down when he filed suit.
Even the black community where I live doesn't want illegals getting amnesty and wants them deported.
Deeds only Democrats could stoop to…..
Ya know.. I was just going to accept your kind thanks and leave it at that. But it is too much. I'm not a war vet. Actually I'm the first in my family to serve. My parents are immigrants. My father was alive during WWII, he starved and almost died under Nazi occupation at age 5. Brave American soldiers fighting under terrible conditions liberated his country. If not for that, I would not be alive. My family has a lot to be grateful for to military families. I'm just proud to do my part.
Maybe we can deploy teachers to Afganistan.
Geez, you think that, if the unions had put all the money that they spent on political contributions to the Democrats into their pension funds instead, they might not have needed this bailout?!
Naah – too much sugar, too many carbs (can't have any fat kids, ya know, and with these food stamp cuts, we won't; so it's all good, don't you see?)
Spot on assessment Marine!! Carry on
