Gibbs: If Senate Bill Passes House It Will Go to the President’s Desk
by SusanAnne HillerThe other day I exposed the fact that Harry Reid switched the language in the House-passed H.R. 3590 Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009 and inserted the Senate version of the healthcare bill via a manager’s amendment in order to meet the requirement that all legislation raising taxes must originate in the House.
The Senate passed the revised bill with the healthcare language in it, and now the House must revote on the deceptively gutted changed bill because, according to the Constitution, the identical bill must pass both the House and Senate in order to be signed into law. And, once the Senate Health Care bill pass the House, President Obama will sign it right away.
The threat of reconciliation in the Senate is hollow. There isn’t going to be any reconciliation.
On January 31, 2010, before the House was set to take up the Senate bill, WH Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” stated:
“If the House would take up the Senate bill then that bill would go to the president’s desk,” Gibbs said.
For further confirmation, here is the audio of that exchange. Listen from about 4:20 to 5.00 and you will here Gibbs confirm that once the House passes the Senate’s version of the healthcare bill, it’s a done deal. No talk of reconciliation here, because reconciliation is not needed at all.
Let me be clear, if the Senate healthcare bill passes the House, it goes to directly to the President for his signature. No reconciliation, no conference, no more negotiations, nothing. Why? Because they don’t have to; the healthcare takeover will be completed. There is no more incentive for the Senate to keep its promise to the House. And with this Congress the end definitely justifies the means.
The fact that Gibbs confirmed that Obama would sign the Senate version of healthcare bill as is should signal to Americans that he inherently doesn’t have any problems with it–even with all the bribes and abortion funding–as he has also been a huge supporter of this version.
There are still so many people talking about reconciliation. Reconciliation of the bills is not needed for the House to pass the Senate bill. All the talk of reconciliation is to convince wavering House Democrats will soon…we promise, we swear, cross our hearts…fix all the provisions that give House members fears of November.
Stupak and the pro-life Democrats are fooling themselves–especially Kildee–who is now a confirmed “yes” vote on healthcare due to his satisfaction on the abortion language.
Once the House approves the Senate bill, all the talk of reconciliation will evaporate. The Senate health care bill provides the foundation for a government takeover of health care. Do you really think Senate Democrats are going to prolong the health care debate for weeks on end to strip abortion funding from the bill? Again, I can’t be more clear: this is the Code Red alert for the final vote to pass healthcare.

Whatever bills is Rahmed through, Congress and the Senate should test their programs on themselves first. If it works and is cost effective that will be great. Lets just see how much these politicians REALLY CARE about america, and its people.

Should it pass, it will be tied up litigation in perpetuity. There are still too many States that value State's Rights and the Tenth Ammendment.

I am going on a limb here but we are only focusing on the obvious. There must be a another "hidden" agenda why the are so desperate to pass this bill besides collecting the money from us NOW. Considering that this bill won't be in effect till 2015, there must be some wording in it that will totally screw this country that we don't know about.
This is not about "healthcare" because they don't care of we live or die or pay high premiums. There MUST be something else. Just my humble opinion.

I have thought about it. I'm an old man, life is drawing to a close for me. I have a 19 yr old daughter, going FSU grads in just over a year. I know precisely what I am willing to do not for me. I don't care about me to darn much, I know what I am prepared to do if necessary. what are each of us prepared to do? Unionization for healthcare workers, your bank accounts tied to your health cards so they can debit your account via the IRS, illegal coverage, strong affirmative action measures for health care nurses and doctors to be educated at government expense based on socio-economics not brains, and also, get this — outcomes based funding of health care based on racial profiles, ie if whites have higher life expectancies they will shift money to blacks until it is "equal." ……I kid you not.
There are also "behavioral modification" measures in the bill, ala Sunstein, to get people to go along with their
programs. Some of these things were actually sneaked into the Stimulus package, so they need to get the rest of this through to make it all fit.

Proof positive that democrats will not obey the law as defined in the U.S. Constitution, a document they swore to protect and defend. They are all LIARS! Vote them out!
Where are our "Republican representatives" concerning this matter? They are like the silence of the lambs. This is truly an evil enterprise, and against all constitutional norms. The time has now come to directly confront and petition all of our "representatives" for our redress of grievences. They must answer. They cannot remain silent and ignore our concerns. They receive their authority from us, and they are first answerable to us. They are convinced that we do not have the guts to do anything about it, either sooner or later. They believe that they are invincible against the People. This bill strips away our equality as citizens, as some states and some citizens are given more privileges and rights than others. Some are exempt from paying taxes, while others are not. God this just keeps getting worse and worse. Are we really going to let this happen?
If they pass this, I truly pity the families of those who vote yes. I can see many small businesses advising the congress critters spouse to take their business down the road. Though elevated for the time, they too shall return to the ranks. Traitorous elected politicians will not find a warm and welcoming reception over the congressional breaks and it will be brutal for a long time in these foolish elected officials home districts. What many seem to forget is that the majority do not want this crap, and to counter the big city entitlement voters, many reps have a populace that is massively and overwhelmingly against big government. This may be a bloody and viscious summer to say the least.
Stupak himself has stated that 'there is no deal' and he explained that he knows that there would be no incentive to 'fix' the Bill once passed, and that he wouldn't trust them to keep any promises anyway. In fact, there are several online petitions run by feminist / liberal / pro-choicers asking for signatures to 'Stop Stupak' from 'Derailing Healthcare Reform'. In other words, aside from the Left's motive of a total government take over of one sixth of the economy, it's all about abortion. It always was. The libs are shaking in their boots – so don't let 'em fool ya.
