Obama Admits Partisanship at GOP Retreat; Forgets About Change.gov

Building on Real Clear Politics observation by Tom Bevan:
There’s been a remarkable amount of coverage of President Obama’s appearance at the House Republican retreat today, but I haven’t seen anyone focus on the President’s rather stunning admission about the Democrats’ health care legislation:
President Obama stated at the GOP retreat in Baltimore:
“The last thing I will say, though — let me say this about health care and the health care debate, because I think it also bears on a whole lot of other issues. If you look at the package that we’ve presented — and there’s some stray cats and dogs that got in there that we were eliminating, we were in the process of eliminating. For example, we said from the start that it was going to be important for us to be consistent in saying to people if you can have your — if you want to keep the health insurance you got, you can keep it, that you’re not going to have anybody getting in between you and your doctor in your decision making. And I think that some of the provisions that got snuck in might have violated that pledge.”
Bevan continues his analysis of Obama’s statements:
If we take this statement at face value, President Obama is admitting the the health care bills passed by either the House or Senate (or both) contained provisions which were “snuck in” – presumably by Democratic members and perhaps on behalf of certain lobbyists – that would have in fact prevented people from keeping their current insurance and/or choosing the doctor they want.
Let’s re-read Obama’s statement:
“If you look at the package that we’ve presented — and there’s some stray cats and dogs that got in there that we were eliminating, we were in the process of eliminating.”
The words “we’ve” and “we” further emphasizes the fact that Obama has shut the Republicans out of all of the healthcare negotiations. It’s also a violation of this–outlined on in the Obama-Biden plan detailed on the website Change.gov.
Additionally, serious matters seem to be minimalized by this president, further exemplified by the verbiage “stray cats and dogs”–is that what Obama calls the deliberate language in the legislation that would allow for a government takeover of 1/6 of the US economy, strip Americans of their current insurance, and limit our doctor choices. Is that the cat? Are the dogs the payoffs and bribes used to secure the votes needed?
Reflecting on the 2008 campaign, we heard so many speeches with so much rhetoric, and were promised a new era of government based on the premise of Obama’s vision of “hope and change.” Americans were captivated. Americans trusted this vibrant candidate, elected him president, and based on that trust ushered in a Democrat supermajority along with him.
Americans also trusted the campaign promises regarding healthcare. They voted for reform, not a government takeover of 1/6 of the US economy. This is what was promised and what Americans who voted for Obama believed would take place:
The hope and change promised during the campaign and further reinforced on Change.gov is a thing of the past and a voter’s worst nightmare–the entire Obama campaign was a con and a sting operation on the American people by the radical left. Voter betrayal, indeed.
And Barack Obama has the audacity to go in and scold Republicans for not playing along. Really?

I saw sinppets of that on the news. It proved interesting. It was further interesting that Barry was a tad off his game. He appeared uncomfortable, and off balance. While he is off balance, it is time to keep the pressure on.
What about forcing people to buy insurance or fining them. That is just damned unamerican. Where do these fops get the idea they have the power and the right to force us to purchase anything. I tend to agree with you. I don't think Barry has the best of skills when it comes to "brush fire management." The only way to fight fire, is with fire.

Three impressions about BHO's appearance at the GOP retreat:
1. The man continues to tell bald-faced lies with no impunity except for certain news outlets.
2. The analysis by MessNBC was absolutely amazing. You would have thought that Barry just slew the
dragon known as the GOP. The analysis was very predictable and, as always, inaccurate.
3. Related to NO. 2 – The GOP made it appear as though he had slain the GOP dragon because they were
timid in their responses to some of his combativeness. They were more concerned about their image with the
TV cameras rolling than with the substance of Obama's claims. Score one for Barry.
The GOP needs to follow-up this meeting by calling for more public forums starring them and the Jackass
Party. The Dems, in turn, will not bite and the GOP can continue to rip them for the lack of transparency and
hard core partisanship.
They can work together to enslave Americans much better. Our government has long ago become illegitimate – they serve foreigners and corporations – Americans are just what they use to bargain with those entities with. For example, a foreign "investor" is told that the American people will cover the LOSSES via bailouts (nothing new – read Creature from Jekyll Island) but are free to take all the PROFITS. Quite a deal – called fascism.
While Obama scolds the Republicans,
and blathers on about his hopeium and changeium of transparency, it appears his Speaker of the House, Madame Nancy "Let Then Eat Cake" Pelosi, paints a different picture. Apparently San Fran Nan is quite the Party Gal:

The more I see the President the more disgusted I get…I can't stand to hear him or even look at him anymore. Say what you want about Sean Hannity on Fox News he revealed a ton of stuff before the election. Not enough people saw his show apparently which would definitely change their mind for pulling the lever for this guy. Well we are really paying for it now!

My favorite Obama line of the day he met with the Republicans was when he whined that Republicans of portraying health care overhaul legislation as a “Bolshevik plot.”
If only those milquetoasts spoke with such honesty, clarity and a true sense of the American sentiment. I wonder what Obama would do in the face of real, hard-core opposition?

I think you are making the mistake of assuming Obama and the majority of Congress are Democrats. They are not. They are proglibs, a parasitic and predatory strain of political virus. In order to understand any of this, you must first acknowledge what they really are and what their real agenda is. Took an ethics class way back in the early 80's. Instructor left the room during a quarter final. 3/4 of the class started comparing notes, looking things up in their textbooks, copying off each other's papers.
