I Condemn The NAACP: They Are Obsessed With Identity Politics

I condemn the NAACP because they are no longer advancing the cause of freedom and equality. They are instead advancing a sophomoric, short sighted, and reactionary resolution to brand the Tea Party Movement as “racist”. They act as a police group for racial bigotry but only as it pertains to black people — notice the silence of the NAACP regarding the Black Panther member’s call to bash the heads of white babies. It’s unfortunate that the NAACP has become nothing more than a divisive cabal of Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive Fundamentalist Racism Chasers who are more interested in identity politics than they are in a prosperous and free nation.
You would think they would logically deduce that the loss of civil liberties and personal freedoms for Americans in general is clearly not a winning proposition for Black people. If they were truly concerned with the advancement of people of color, then they would be “tea-partying”.

This is about the upcoming elections. The NAACP is trying to rally the black community, unfortunately they are only causing a wedge. What they don't realize is, just how many folks in the black community are members of the Tea Party. I have a feeing they will be enlightened in the coming months.
With all the problems in our nation it does not seem fitting to fan the flames of racism. What is the NAACP doing at the grassroots level to help the communities and the unemployed? My guess is not much they appear to be chasing the boogeyman and coaching folks on how to get more from the government and give less of themselves. This has become an irrelevant barnacle on societies backside serving no useful prurpose. Thank you Robin for standing with us in the Tea Party Family where effort will bring its own just reward!
As I said in the earlier thread, it is no accident that the "formerly" segregationist democrats morphed into pro-welfare "civil rights" leaders.
Welfare and government programs did more damage to the black family and to get blacks "back on the plantation as slaves for the democrat masters" far more effectively than Jim Crowe ever could have.
This explains the virulent hatred the left has for independent thinking (ie: non leftist statist democrat big welfare state supporting and race hustler) blacks as they are HUGE threats to the democrat establishment, and are "People Who Must Be Destroyed At ALL COSTS". Conservative blacks are proof that everything the democrats have been promising and the black race hustlers (Sharpton, Jackson) say are lies.

The NAACP has a distinguished history as a voice for equality and progress, and it is just plain sad to see this once proud group lower itself to do the bidding of the DNC.
They are much like the labor unions. There was once a time in which they had and served a noble purpose, but they have LONG outlived that time, and serve NO purpose other than to self-perpetuate themselves and to act as a cash transfer conduit to their democrat political masters.
This is all of a piece. The DNC have been very worried about the "lack of energy" among their base for November- in other words they fear low turnout. This is just a ploy to get their plantation workers all riled up and angry.

Rush was really ahead of the curve on this. He was saying back in early 2008 that an Obama victory would do NOTHING to end the race hustler industry, but that it would INTENSIFY it.
Why? Because as we've seen, ANY AND ALL disagreement with Obama can't be because, well, we have differences in ideas and philosophy, no it MUST BE RAAAAAAAAACISM!
The NAACP has closed themselves off to the fact that, today, people are being judged by how much they accomplish, not by the color of their skin pigment. Stop living in the past. It's over.
Honestly, the NAACP has never been relevant to me. I am not black and was born in the 70s. So my view of them is they are just another special interest group trying to get money and power from whoever and wherever they can while claiming to speak for a whole group of people whose only connection would be their skin color.
In essence, they are just another hard-left identity politics constituency for the Democrats and the Democrats use them as such. So it is obvious that my perception is completely accurate.
Read a little history, and you'll find that NAACP has a remarkable and noble past.
I am always encouraged when I see black conservatives. It proves that despite the stereotypes we can all fall back on, everyone ultimately has to think and act for him/herself. But in today's climate bigotry and political correctness from the left, these black conservatives, and there are much more than we see, are especially courageous to stand up and declare their views given how they are treated as "traitors" to their race.

Keep it coming friends. The NAACP needs to know now more than ever that they do not speak for the entire black community on racial matters. Like our government they were and are expected to represent the members best interests rather than lecturing us on how to act and think.

Yes, but not any more. In recent years they have made themselves less relevant, and more bombastic.
It's wonderful to see so many Black American contributors to this site condemn the racists at NAACP and the New Black Fascist Party. Gives me hope that not all is lost.

I REALLY hope that some members of the NAACP wake up and take notice as to what's going on, and use the brain that God gave them, like many others that must as well, and employ that logic that ALL Human Beings are capable of.
Michelle and Barack Hussein Obama, and Team , have done everything they can to destroy America, from inciting racial violence, to being obsessed with Global World Union and Ignoring America's safety, to destroying our economic stability, to spending our Tax Dollars like a bunch Dictators, to IGNORING "WE THE PEOPLE," to forbidding the words Islamic Extremists, all because they don't think like Americans, they think like Communists! and we don't like it!

Great job Robin, keep up the great work.The NAACP started out with a noble idea and cause. They have gone so far away from that idea that they now do a disservice to the Black community. I say that not because they say the Tea Party is racist, I say it because of almost every thing they do on every other issue they stand for. It is so very sad that this has happened to a once great organization………

You said what I've been thinking all day, but you said it much more eloquently. I join you in your condemnation of the NAACP and of the politics of hate. I was sick of racism in the 60's and I'm even more sick of it now – no matter what the color of the face that's spewing it.
The democrat party, with their fellows in the CBC & CHC, and their fellow Marxist travelers want race wars in the US. They have and continue to destroy the economy, outsource jobs, displace citizens, black, brown and white, with cheap foreign labor, to winnow down even further access to what jobs remain. They are attempting to pit Americans against each other by race, because they believe we will be easily lead into being at each others' throats. That is what all the identity politics are all about.
To find that Michelle Obama actually spoke at the event says alot about our current leadership or actually lack thereof….. This woman has no class or scruples! What an insult to the black community who had such hope for these two. I can feel nothing but pity for their children.
I am more and more convinced that the civil rights organizations, black liberation churches, and any number of similar institutions are no more than vehicles for their leaders to earn good livings by keeping their member agitated. They accomplish nothing.
How easy it is to fabricate the Tea Party as "racist". All it takes is a few libs posing with posters with racist images and words on them…Voila! See world, the Tea Party is RACIST! (A few months ago they promised to try to infiltrate the movement). Funny how the MSM continues to carry their message despite the fact not a single speaker who speaks for the movement has uttered a word to suggest racism. It is all in an attempt to get the Tea Party on the defensive and off their message. Thank you Robin for coming on here and taking the time let us know that you are a fellow American. I taught my children to never distinguish by skin color only by character and with the NAACP acting as it is, it's tough to understand why I made such an effort. I know why, because not all Black people subscribe to the NAACP and NBP the same as not all White people subscribe to the KKK.
I apologize this is kind of a 'canned' response I am leaving for all but it's late at night but I felt it important to acknowledge the Black Posters coming out and letting us know they support America. They too are subject to the same ridicule the a Tea Partier is. I am a die hard T Partier, I rarely miss an event.

Thank you, Robin, for standing up for your convictions. It has gotten so that I was thinking that the NAACP was speaking for all black Americans. It would ease the association of race and politics, if persons such as you would form representative groups to call the NAACP and the NBPs to account. It is a shame that Martin Luther King's accomplishments will be set back.

Thank you Robin. I am a member of the Tea Party. I was also a youth leader and I am white. I don't care what color you are. I used to go miles out of my way to pick up poor black/white children and take them to youth service and spend my own money on them so they could go out and eat with the other young people. I did it for no glory I did it because I loved them just as much as anyone else.
We've had grown black men that didn't have anywhere to go stay at my house for days until we could help them find something elsewhere. I am disgusted by the NAACP. I am appalled at this President that will not condemn the NAACP.
There's more division now from this "post-racial" President than ever. I'm sick of his divisive actions and agenda!
The NAACP lost it's relevancy for black americans some time ago. They seem to be fighting battles that have already been won and are MIA on issues that are relative to advancement today. Come up to speed and you'll "get my vote", but I don't see that happening! The tea-partiers are not the problem nor are identity politics the answer!!! Good job Robin!!!!!
I condemn the NAACP, in the name of my husband who spent his life working for equal rights, who served 24 years in the US army and died as a result of serving in desert storm. He attended DRRI (defense race relation institute) in the 70's when it was still fairly new.
I am not a black American, he was. He would be denouncing this kind of pseudo equality. The NAACP should be condemning the new black panthers and we should not be giving them the notoriety they (new black panthers) are enjoying.
This political climate is harmful and the first bi-racial president should be ashamed for raising racial tensions rather than eliminating all race conflicts.
The past is done and we cannot change it. We can be ashamed of what some have done, we can look at ourselves and swear to fight this kind of racism around us and never forget.
The future and today should be non racial. We should stand united as Americans, it is time.

The Tea Party is above race – the focus is on the constitution, big government, keeping our freedoms intact, and holding DC represenatives responsible.
The NAACP is nothing more than a black KKK. I see their existence as a cancer to the growth and well being of people of color who, if educated, can achieve anything in the USA. Now, since our government(s) spends a gizillion $$$$$ on education, what is the problem. Self motivation???
All this hate speech is going to come back to bite our butts when school starts. Just wait and see. Black administrators can't manage schools now and with the empowerment that comes from the Prez, DOJ, and NAACP denouncing personal responsiblility and playing up the race card–I predict things are gonna get ugly real soon. I was always taught by my parents to never hate, and to treat all human beings equally, regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, etc. As a result, my friends have always been what my parents called "The U.N.": Jewish, Canadian/Puerto Rican, Chinese, Korean, black, Indian, white (Italian, Polish, Irish, Heinz 57, etc.). Even my daughters' friends are not all white: black/white mix, Indian, Mexican-American, Asian and white. Not only that, but kids with parents of a differing political party (yup, some of my neighbor friends vote – egad! – Democrat!).
Whenever I hear those words by MLK, Jr., see what he went through to bring civil rights to blacks in this country, it makes me cry. It makes me cry because he did so much and after he died, they spit on his grave and turned to violence and victimhood. They gave into the Left, let the Left use them, and now they are reaping what they have sown – a community frought with all kinds of problems, including unwed mothers, gangs and drugs. Not all, of course, but I live in the L.A. area so I am not blind.
When I hear that disgusting man from the NBPP speak, it sickens me. Absolutely sickens me, as much as watching someone from the Klan speak, or even listening to Muslims speak about the West and other non-Muslims. It's nothing but HATE and it disgusts me to my very core.
