Steyn ROCKS!!! I just hope he's not deported for flipping off the po-po.
Way to call out Olberdouche for his Islam-o-phobia!
I just got a browser notification that "BigGovernment.com" is considered "unsafe". I'm on IE8 w/Windows 7. You can choose to ignore, but its not easy to find that link.
Anyone else see this?
It is a BS warning, zero warning from my version of Norton, who is you anti-virus service…?
I'm betting its McAfee…
Not yet, but a couple days ago I got a call with the local area code and, on the display, it said "U.S. Government" and when I picked up I got nothing. 'Trying to make me paranoid, I guess.
Ben Stein made a great point today regarding Obama trying to trample on the Constitutional right of Arizona to make it's own law regarding anti-illegal immigration.
Arizona has the absolute right to make it's own law without the president of the United States immediately weighing in and denouncing it in the strongest terms and whipping up national unrest. Ben Stein is right!
Is there anything in the Constitution that Obama thinks is off limits to him? Afterall, he did take to oath didn't he?
.
Thanks. Enjoyed the podcast!
He took the Oath under false pretenses. Each day that goes by he commits treason.

I guess anything's possible–I just bought this phone about a week ago. Kinda unsettling.
There is a phone number you can call that will help you determine whether or not your phone is tapped.
Call : 202-543-9994
You will hear a long tone , listen carefully to this tone . If it is a long steady monotone then your phone is not tapped. If you hear breaks or skips in the tone , your phone may currently be tapped.

Of course, Step 2 is irrelevant since BG posters are already on a watch-list.
Thanks, might have to investigate this further.
It’s a political robo-call, from your representative.
You know, I'll bet you're right but it has always identified itself as her before. 'Probably got tired of me hanging up on her. Anne Kirkpatrick. I think she's gone this next time, too. Got something in the mail yesterday saying she was finally gonna get tough on something–don't remember what it was. She's a marketer.
Mine is Tom Price, great guy. When the caller ID says US Govt. it has been in his regard.
he took it twice, did he get it right the second time?
BTW, the host is not in my Trusted or Intranet zones either….
McAfee used to do that to me all the time, that's why I got rid of it…
Nope. No bible the second time.
Makes you wish Obama had a mike on him all the time, like PM Brown after talking to a life long supporter in the UK. Sad, they tried to destroy her as they did Joe the plumber. Sadder yet, people don't act on what's said by polititians when they know someone is listening.
LOL, not on my Linux laptops. (Yippee, I can sign on at McDonalds for free!)
However, there was a claim on another thread that the Lefties were submitting false complaints against the BIG sites as harrasment.
and he's the smartest president of all times (sarcasm) ;^)
There's several sites you can go to in order to check the phone number. Google "whocallsme.com" for who I normally use.
This is a good article:

I kept hearing how intellegent and well educated he was back before I heard about him sealing his college transcripts, and no one brought the subject up after that. Hmmm. Aggravating.
Here's my review on the San Diego May Day Support of Arizona Rally. http://hollylamb.wordpress.com/
I learned some things today 1) if you are going to call conservatives Nazis don't wear a Che T-Shirt to the protest or wave signs with his face. 2) The Left has a rude, crude foul collective mouth 3) Aztec Dancers are awesome to watch, just never follow them up with Che Guevara signs and people shouting F*ck You.

Great podcast! I don't live in PA, but I loved hearing Tim Burns. He brought me to tears. That's what I want for my kids, too – I want them to know that I fought for their futures. Money's tight, but I'm going to make a donation to his campaign. By the way, please ask Charles Lollar to come on to talk to you guys. He's running as a Republican for Steny Hoyer's seat. It's a long shot I know, but I think even Maryland's 5th might be ready for small government!
I have been wanting to ask this question but I have never been sure who to ask. Why is the East Coast so Liberal? Were all the founding Fathers from the East Coast? Why have the values of the founding Fathers fallen so far to the wayside in the very area where they declared our independence from Tyranny?
EXVCELLENT write up hollylamb! Being in Phoenix today the this Tea Party gal stayed home. Phoenix has had some nasty May Days in past years and I wanted nothing to do with that crap. They had far fewer than expected here and a Cinco Festival is in progress as well. Since they have been so ugly over the law, well I pity the good Cinco vendors as the news report indicated attendance is down by 50% over last year. It was a beautiful day today and not hot at all. A Cinco Festival without all the conservatives sounds kind of broke. We may be doing our own boycott this weekend!
I do have McAfee, but I see nothing in the McAfee logs about the site and I would assume that my having chosen to allow BG.com would have put that host in my whitelist. There's nothing in my whitelist.

Holly, I'm born, raised and have lived in Pa. all my 60 years. Well, except for approx 10 years split between NJ and Md. I don't concider myself expert about anything, but I do have an opinion on your query.
There is an abundance of "old money" here. "Blue bloods" if you will. Even the towns here in the east drip with European sounding names.Their heirs haven't actually had to work for a living for generations. These original elites have sent their children to all the finest private schools and Ivy League Universities since their beginnings. The sheer number of elitist lawyers spawned by the blue bloods and the universities, in my opinion, is probably huge. These aren't the lawyers that help you write a will or defend you in traffic court, they are the ones that tend to congregate around DC and New York where the big money is.
cont.
These are not the lawyers that work to defend the Constitution, these are the ones that contrive ways to subvert it. After all, they are elite. They feel it is in their best interest to control their world. "We the People" can't be entrusted with such a hefty order.
So there it is. Elite money, lawyers and geographic location. Was just a matter of time.
He took an oath to uphold it "to the best of his ability"…..seems to me he's just not very able…..
The Obama administration won't get this illegal immigration problem corrected, healthcare, cap & trade, Goldman & Sachs (6 of them in the White House now) and is taking his sweet ole' time on Katrina II.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Q03fdDQAUY
The United States ought to treat Mexico the same as they treat us as immigrants and everyone of these liberal whine-o's would then be singing a different tune to this illegal immigration thing and here is why:

Oh my you are in Phoenix heart of the trouble. Well i support Arizona, I should have figured this out on my own, Sunshine…..duh you wouldn't be in MN or WI LOL. We are having a huge Cinco de Mayo celebration in Old Town San Diego, one of my very most favorite places in the US but I am not going this year. Not for fear of violence, I lack that self preservation instinct but because I don't want to spend my money where that it's clear from yesterday they hate us. I have not uploaded all my video to Youtube yet but there is one where on the back of the truck there is a huge American Flag sewn to the back of a huge Mexican Flag. If they won't fly the American Flag alone or they carry it upside down or the majority of flags are Mexican, me and my money are not welcome at their fiesta. Hit them in the pocketbook that's where they feel it the most
So in other words our founding fathers raised a bunch of self-righteous snobs that to atone for their affluence they want the 'little' people to be cared for by the government and middle class tax payers money. I am so glad I did not have the best of anything except for God. I've been poor and middle class so long that I don't think I could adjust to having money.
hussein confuses himself with God,one must excuse him for poor poor minority raising. he is just a product of the terrible white mans society. and if hussein wishes to make AMERICA in his own likeness, who are we to critics the first black prez.
The left has many computer nerds who think nothing of trying to squelch dissent by using the computer to send false alerts warning of impending doom to your computer if you visit a particular web site. This has happend to me on several sites, even lefty ones(politico) after responding to an article. The solution is a free program called HouseKeeping free anti-virus scan, it takes approximatley 5 minutes to run, in spite of the claim of threat, the scan reveals nothing going on. To get the dang thing off your screen go to tools and delete brousing history. The left hates to be contridicted, rather than engage in open debate, they resort to trickery.
That's a very good question, and I think the answer is very complicated. I moved out from TN to MD 10 years ago, and can tell there is definitely a different perspective. Yes, the Founders were from the East Coast, naturally, but I think the can-do spirit of the patriots who fought for independence continued with future generations who pursued their dreams and fortunes westward. I think we forget that the Constitution is just words on a page, without the farm boys who took up arms to fight for it. Consequently, I think the further you get from the coasts, the more folks you'll encounter that share the values of the Founders.
My husband and I joke that a lot of people who have lived on the East Coast for generations are the lazy ones who didn't want to explore beyond the colonies, so it makes since they would become more liberal. Likely, they were monied, so it they didn't need to. They looked down on the poor immigrants who carved out the West with their bare hands.
I think here (in MD) folks expect the gov't to do for them, not do for themselves. A larger concentration of interest groups in the DC/VA/MD region predisposes it to a pro-big gov't attitude. From my experience, a conservative is considered an intolerant Bible-banger who doesn't care about the poor. A liberal is supposedly intellectually superior and empathetic toward the needs of society. But, in my mind, the liberal agenda has always been about power and control. A stronger, larger centralized gov't concentrates power with a chosen few. As in our current situation, those in power have spent most of their adult lives in universities not getting their hands dirty. Unions sign up for their share. Powerful minority groups sign up for theirs. Media outlets want a handout as well. Everyone wants their share of the bounty and come up with a host of colorful ways to justify their greed. All are willing to lie, cheat or steal to get theirs. They don't mind demonizing the opposition to get it.
I also think the coasts are becoming increasingly post-Christian and socialist, taking a cue from Europe. A lot of intellectuals feel organized religion only appeals to an uneducated mind, therefore the important role churches once played in communities is now replaced by the cult of progressivism. It is those intellectuals on the East Coast who are truly the uneducated when it comes to values, community and common sense.
There are lots of other factors, but that's my two cents for what it's worth.

Great post! I think God is being replaced by 'settled science'. Even people reading here will think that Evolution is settled science because the public school education forces you to believe it. In reality it's called the Theory of Evolution because it's a theory not a fact. However progressives will tell you that Evolution like Global Warming is fact because it's a settled science. Settled on what? It's settle on FAITH and nothing more, just like a belief in God. I choose my Deities very carefully
