More Christmas Bombing Fallout: Hillary’s Visa Problem
by Richard GrenellPresident Obama came back to work this week after leaving the Presidency for his Hawaiian holiday vacation. Hawaii proved to be a restful retreat for the President, his team and the White House press corps who all took time off from their regular duties to enjoy the Hawaiian sun and ignore their responsibilities.
But after 10 days of tropical silence, this week there is a sudden flurry of security reviews, media statements, ass-covering and more misstatements coming out of Washington from the Obama Administration. But we still don’t know why the State Department didn’t revoke the visa of a man they knew had ties to al-qaeda.
Even the normally workaholic Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was enjoying a silent 10 nights on the matter. Taking her time to get the facts and pack up the Christmas decorations, Hillary finally came out looking like she had just landed in Yugoslavia under sniper fire.
Secretary Clinton joined Janet Napolitano in glossing over the facts surrounding the Christmas Day attempted bombing of Northwest Airlines flight 253. Not to be outdone that all went well with her agency while the boss was on vacation, Secretary Clinton said that the State Department “fully complied with the requirements set forth in the interagency process” about sharing threat information.
What?
Fully complied? The State Department not only failed to share the threat information with a variety of agencies but those who had the information didn’t even act upon it themselves. In fact, Several State Department officials in Nigeria and Washington, DC didn’t even do the basic tasks expected of public servants working to protect Americans.
Not only did the State Department not comply with all the requirements Secretary Clinton had said, but the State Department also violated United Nations Security Council Resolution 1735 by not providing the new information they received on an al-qaeda suspect to the UN. We know that State Department officials in Nigeria and Washington had the information because someone wrote a top secret cable dated November 20, 2009 explaining that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab had ties to al-qaeda. This means that the State Department had 35 days to revoke Adbulmutallab’s visa and share the information with the UN – it failed to do either.
Had the State Department shared the cable with other U.S. agencies or given the information to the UN, as required under the Chapter 7 Resolution, all Nations would have been obligated to deny entry and freeze the assets of anyone officially on the UN’s Terrorist List.
The smoking gun is the November 20 State Department cable that wasn’t acted upon. No one shared it with the Embassy visa section, other U.S. agencies or the UN. How could a top secret cable be written but not acted upon by the same Embassy that wrote it? Questions remain as to who approved the cable, where was it sent and why wasn’t a visa revoked because of the cable?
U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria Robin Sanders and Assistant Secretary of State for Africa Johnnie Carson need to answer some questions about what they did with the November 20, 2009 top secret cable containing crucial national security information. Did they ignore the fact that their Embassy identified an al-qaeda operative? Did they not check to see if a visa was already granted to this al-qaeda operative? Who all approved the visa? Who read the cable? At the very minimum, Ambassador Robin Sanders needs to tell the American people why she didn’t revoke the visa of Abdulmutallab after her team originally approved it.
What we’ve learned since Janet Napolitano and Hillary Clinton thought everything went as bureaucratically expected on Christmas Day is that President Obama takes surf board accidents on his vacation very seriously but is willing to delegate the safety of the American public to subordinates.

Personally, based on photos, I think she had a bit of minor work done before the campaign. Between her "Bill" crises, and those of her own making, she must have a lot of stress, and stress ages anyone.

It's a fact that when a woman gets to a certain age, and her estrogen rapidly decreases , her face will change. Contrary to former opinion, the trade-off is possibly better health than if she took hormones long-term.
Just pay attention to photos and films of famous women who cross that threshold. It's easy to determine the ones who don't resort to chemicals or surgery. Not that surgery is necessarily a bad option, but I like the fact that some women are secure enough in their "own skins," that they don't find it necessary.
A system is only as good as the people who respect it and follow it. Forget all the political spin, pointing fingers – what I want to know is who the complete idiot ticket agent that decided their judgement was 'better' than following a system that requires a legitimate form of ID (gee a passport, anyone) or something more convincing than an expired Visa. Seriously- no red flags went up? none? one-way ticket, cash, young, any questions to inquire why he was traveling to the US with no apparent plans to return?
It doesn't matter which country the flight originated in the airline is US owned and all employees are fully aware of entry requirements into the US. What did they think was going to happen on the other end? Either they were in on it or they are so completely dumb they should be held for the attempted murder of everyone on the flight. Clearly terrorism doesn't need more help from incompetence.

His dad told him to stick it out, then died that night. Anders said it would be an emotional night if he could share the national championship with his dad.

Hi Post American, I'm not going to call you names or try to belittle you here, just please consider the following. When you combine Obama's policy to prosecute CIA agents over "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques", to his poorly planned and executed closing of Gitmo, added to his policy of reading terrorists their Miranda Rights, mixed with his policy to try the 9/11 terrorists in New York City federal courts, considered with his incessant apologizing to foreign countries, fused with the Department of Homeland Security's refusal to even call them "Terror Attacks" but instead calls them "Man Made Disasters", coupled with the fact that the same DHS is far more threatened and concerned with returning vets and right-wing extremists than they are with jihadists. You will start to see a terrifying trend that many on the right saw developing long ago. And that is that these policies are making us less safe, not more safe. So please try to understand our frustration and at the very least excuse our anger and lack of support for the President and his blatantly misguided and outright dangerous policies.

Why does the State Department send personnel to nations when the staff, educated by university standards, are incompetent. How so? Do not know the history, culture, mores and customs of the host country. Of greater importance, the Embassy staff does not know the language of the host country, or even a dialect or two.
Of what value is a State Department staff member in Jordon, where Jordanians assist in guarding the Embassy, and the the natives make threating comments about America, and the embassy staff just smile was if going into Starbucks on the home campus.
What company can afford to do business in a country and its staff not speak the language? Only the U.S. Governement. Just too big to fail. Really?

I'm not at all surprised. None of these people, with a few exceptions such as Nope-olitano, have executive experience.
Executives are "on deck" at all times (I'm a corporate office – haven't had a real vacation in years). The Obama administration is made up of career politicians, academics, and bureaucrats.
