#OccupyWallStreet: We Could See ‘Mace Day’ Coming
by PubliusIn the latest video from Lee Stranahan and Brandon Darby’s visit to Zuccotti Park, an activist who has been at Occupy Wall Street “since Day One” talks about why he did not participate in the “mace day” protest in which a group of activists were pepper-sprayed by police.
He says that he could tell activists wanted to “instigate fights with the cops,” and did not want to participate in a military “campaign” that would have felt like a “glory-seeking” expedition.
Searching for the words, he says: “You don’t have to be a fortune-teller to know… that if you leave food out, it goes bad.”
In an earlier era, he might have said: “You don’t have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.”

THE PRESS NEEDS TO BE ON THE MAYORS, CITY COUNCILS AND ALL OTHER AUTHORITY TO STOP THIS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY!
PART I –
America…the authority in these cities need to clamp down now on loitering in certain areas that they group in…and setting up curfews!
America…if you live in one of these cities of violence and destruction…call your Mayor…call your City Council members…all of them…and anyone else in power and tell them how you…a ‘real’ American is also fed up with our government…including them…and tell them to use the power given to them to stop it…to protect innocent tax paying citizens like yourself!
PART II –
We as 'real' Americans didn't get the same coverage at the town halls and protests around the country…because 'we' the people respected authority and the rights of the community in which we protested and did not litter or destroy. We have stood firm and strong and grew because WE were a group that knew what we wanted and were united…and still are…but these 'loons' are all divided and don't know what they want…and once the coverage goes away…so will they and their 'don't know why' movement!
This should wake up the politically malcontent in our society and at these so called protests…because the rapists, thieves and scum of our society blend so well with you….that society cannot tell the difference between you!
Get it? Wake up and take a look at what you are doing and why?

A funny story about the Tea Party. My friend is a policeman, he is part of a task force that got called out to "Guard" a dem congressman's office, against the Tea Party group that was rallying there. The TP members all came over and thanked the cops for protecting the community, were polite, offered them coffee etc. The counter-protesters were swearing at the cops and throwing things, he said it was all they could do to keep from wading into the "Scumbags" as he put it. I quess the congressman's staffer was upset that they weren't intimidating the TPer's enough. When it was over the Tea Party, cleaned up and left, the counter-protesters just left a mess.

You're confusing sound and fury with substance. The media are starting to catch on, too, which is why they've stopped paying so much attention. When it first started, they were scrambling over one another to bring us live reports.
That's not happening anymore, and it's because: A) There aren't that many people; and B) The people who are there have been behaving like idiots.

This group will push to violence. The occupation should have been dealt with in the same manner as the tea party's restrictions on flag poles over a certain height…no apologies, clear enforcement of existing laws, no exceptions. Instead we have reinforced this nightmare that we are a country where enforcement of laws depends upon whose agenda you happen to be serving. The OWS crowd will not go quietly into the night because they really want to fight and break things. Nothing good will come of this.

The Riot Act once read allowed crowds one hour to disperse and if after one hour there was no dispersal anyone left on the streets faced arrest and a minimum 3 years prison. It also allowed Police or authorities to use physical force to clear streets.

I agree. I think that applies to a lot of the younger protesters. Having spent 13 to 17 years of their young lives being progressively "educated" and indoctrinated, isolated inside the fences of government institutions (schools), they've had very little experience with the real world outside the fence. I think this will be a very enlightening experience for them; much more enlightening than reading stories like Animal Farm or Lord of the Flies.
Well we can do this in an orderly manner without ALL CAPS statements by simply having a revolution at the ballot box. Why would I call my representative Harry Reid when he's part of the problem? My Mayor Carolyn Goodman? She was there to meet President Obama when he landed just last week. I'll listen, watch and then vote for good conservatives where ever I can.
