Im not Hebrew and I dont have any affiliations with the Middle East. I spent 2 years in Iran and for some reason the Israeli's are held in contempt beyond being held in contempt. I have alot of respect for these people and I for one think the Whole Wide World should just leave them be. Im not too particularly optimistic about their future, but I did volunteer for the IDF. They have some strange requirements for enlisting someone who wants to shoot people planning to explode–anyway–Everyday you read something regarding "the Peace Process" —-Thats about as real as The Easter Bunny, or Paul Bunyan—It wont happen. What will happen isnt going to be pretty,But look at it this way–If you dont stand for something, Youll fall for anything–I stand for Israel
If any country dares to 'try' to attack Israel, or even makes an attempt, Israel is more than competent to protect itself! I only pray that it doesn't happen until the USA gets a REAL President!!!
If there's one country I'd fear a face off with it's Isreal. But we should never have to. We'll get our relationship back to good with the next POTUS.
I read my Bible and have no reason to believe in what is considered by some Christians as the "Great Divorce". Christ may have opened his arms to allow us Gentiles to the fold, but The Nation of Isreal are still His People. Keep and stregnthen your faith oh Isreal. I have friends over in the Middle East, and I don't want to see them or their families killed, yet here you are suggesting all out war to the point of exterminating an entire group of people. They don't want war either, and nobody wants genoci…I mean "systematic annihilation".

It didn't work out so well and the rest, as they say, is history.

"The Eve of Destruction: The Untold Story of the Yom Kippur War" by Hward Blum. A quick look at the summary on the cover will tell you who was on the verge of destruction. I am not citing the Egyptian resources which talked about the US direct military involvement in the final days of the war to save Israeli. If you also take into account that the Egyptians were using less modern armaments than the Israelis who were using state of the art US armaments then I guess the Egyptian victory is much more sound. The purpose of any war is to fulfil a strategic objective, Egypt got Sinai back, i.e, Egypt also won strategically.
You can also take a look at this talk by Noam Chomsky at Brandeis and see what he said about the 1973 war and how Israeli was very close to destruction but they nearly escapes thanks to the enormous US aid.

Another proof of the Israelis tactical defeat in 1973 is the "Agranat Commission" which was established in Israeli to investigate the failures of the IDF. To sum up "Israel was defeated tactically and strategically against Egypt in 1973".
You know that Egypt had a Jewish cabined minister during the 1930's when Jews were being persecuted all over Europe? Do you know that most of the Jews who came to the North African Arabic country they escaped the Spanish inquisition and the holocaust in Europe? Well, that's actually hard for me to argue with, so I won't. Perhaps I misinterpreted what you were saying, which is a hazard of this form of communication. There is clearly a connection between the Jews and the nation of Israel with the Christian church, and while I stop short of saying that Christians are God's "chosen people" as that term is used for the Old Testament, certainly I believe that the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus did not stop Israel from being God's "chosen people."
I therefore believe that it is incumbent upon Christians to recognize that fact and to support the modern day nation of Israel. There are those that mock Christians for this belief — even some christians (notice the little "c"). Generally, when you debate those folks, you see that the root of their problem is not so much an anti-God or anti-Christian attitude, but an anti-Israel one.
And so I get a little bit testy over the whole "God's chosen people" thing. While I don't like people using God as a tool to put down people they don't agree with (He's everyone's God, He created all of us and loves all of us equally), I certainly don't like mischaracterizations of Christian beliefs either. And I really don't like it when intelligent people who should know better assign low, petty human characteristics to God — it may be meant to mock Christians (bad enough), but it also mocks God. Since He's done so much for me and loves me so much, I just really can't stand that kind of behavior.
Okay, that was long-winded and a bit rambling, but I think we're cool.
I've done time in SP Vulcans, which were M113's with a turret and 20mm Vulcan gun. M113's did one thing really well: sucked every last bit of heat out of your body. Who in the hell though aluminum armor was a good thing? Every time I think of the M113, I reminded of that the primary example of an oxymoron is "military intelligence." (I say that with a lot of love for my fellow veterans, who I know feel the same way!).
Well, theorhetically the dominance of the two parties is supposed to keep us from the multiple party quagmires that parlimentary systems have, what with the weird coalitions with wildly different agendas {except for perhaps the one thing they agree about, for which they'll team up} etc.
The Founders were very, very, wary of wascially "fast acting government" – the idea was to create roadblocks preventing knee jerk, "fast tracked" government by any ilk, party, group, concern, lobby, etc.{except when consensus is easily reached, and urgency is needed, e.g. FDR declaring war on what day, Dec.8th, 9th?}

I read that a couple troops rolled a howitzer and repelled a Syrian attack force that would have walked into Israel. The author implied that this single event more than likely saved the state.
They used the cannon in such a way that the Syrians thought a much larger force occupied two positions and an advance would take them into a kill box.

You don't need DNA sequencing to analyze Y chromosome haplogroups, which are sufficient to determine general ethno-group affiliation.
And so simply: European Jews are descended from Middle Eastern groups, not Central Asian groups, making the Khazar Hypothesis wrong.

I'm an American who was living in Israel the day the war broke out…I'll never forget it: On our holiest day,while most people were at home resting and the country was so quiet because of the holyday, at 2pm we heard sirens ring. We didn't know why. We had a radio in our apartment and the next door neighbor, who was religious and wouldn't turn on the tv, came over to us and we heard on the radio we were attacked. The men in our building went down to the basement to clean out the bomb shelter (which had been used for storage). We got a phone call from Israeli friends who told us not to be afraid, that it would be ok. Then they went off to join their regiment. The next days were harrowing: the constant sound of Phantoms flying north to battle, the helicopters returning the wounded soldiers to the local hospital (many burned as their tanks were bombed), the sirens rang several times throughout the day: I packed up my 2 mo. old and raced down to the shelter until the all clear (the sirens rang because a Syrian plane was heading our way). At night the blinds were drawn and the lights were mostly out. There was limited food in the shops.

My mother called from the US in a panic as she heard on the news (BBC) that our city, Haifa, was bombed-we happily assured her this was not so. A few days later when the situation was still looking dire, my husband was at work and a co worker came over to him and said "Thank You" . " For what?" my husband asked " For more Phantoms". America was standing by Israel in her hour of need.
