New Docs Show Eric Holder, DOJ Aware of ‘Fast and Furious’ in 2010

A series of emails written in October 2010 between Jason Weinstein, the deputy assistant attorney general of DOJ’s criminal division, and James Trusty, the acting chief of the DOJ’s organized crime and gang section, reveals a fluid knowledge of the operation.
“It’s not going to be any big surprise that a bunch of US guns are being used in MX [Mexico], so I’m not sure how much grief we get for ‘guns walking,’ ” wrote Trusty to Weinstein. “It may be more like, ‘Finally, they’re going after people who sent guns down there … ‘ ”
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, launched the first congressional investigation into the operation at the beginning of the year.
In a February letter to Holder inquiring about allegations over the operation that had been brought to his attention from whistleblowers, Grassley referenced a letter the DOJ had sent him earlier that month refuting any assertions that it had let guns “walk.”
“The Department [of Justice] categorically denied that the ATF ‘knowingly allowed the sale of assault weapons to a straw purchaser … ’ The Department said the ATF makes ‘every effort to interdict weapons that have been purchased illegally and prevent their transportation into Mexico,’ ” the letter reads.
President Obama has denied knowing about the operation until it was made public by news organizations. Holder has ordered the DOJ’s inspector general to investigate the matter, and in August the acting head of the ATF stepped down.

If this administration is willing to allow the head of the IRS to be a tax cheat, we must get rid of the entire regime. If the State of Connecticut is willing to elect a POS, lying fake Vietnam vet "war hero", then we must defeat the progressive wing of the Democrat party. We must stop electing people to school boards that continue to give public school employees benefits beyond their counterparts in the private sector.

In other news, the ATF recently advised gun dealers that they are not allowed to sell firearms to people who have been issued medical marijuana cards, by states which issue them.
So, to people who are worried that the Birkensocialists are going to arm themselves, don't worry. The Holder ATF sez you have a choice: puffing OR packing, but not both.

This may sound crazy but just imagine… if Obama, Holder, Geitner, and Soros were to hold a joint press conference and publicly state not only their involvement, but engineering of "Fast & Furious," the New Black Panthers voter intimidation case, ACORN and SEIU union kickbacks and rioting, fraudulent green energy programs with dem donor paybacks, US economy take down through stimulus packaging and the QE series, illegal alien amnesty, Muslim liberation, and so on…
Then after a full confession, Obama would look straight into the camera and say, "you want a piece of me? Good luck. Right now, me and the boys here are going on a much needed vacation. When we get back we will let you know the rest of our plans."

Well I don't know about the rest of the people here but I am sure feeling the CHANGE and I am beginning to have some HOPE that America will make Ubumo the one term wonder.
Also it will be interesting to see Obama throw Holder bus over this because we all know that Obama would never have any dealing with anything that is legal. I think that most people following this story will agree with you. However, knowing what's true and proving it in court are two different things.
Let's let this story play out with Issa and Grassley. I was anxious about the release of these most recent e-mails but they seem to do what it necessary; they implicate Holder. The fact that people are now coming out and saying things like, "he gets dozens of memo's a week and he can't read them all" and "he missunderstood the question" (from Issa and Grassley about his knowledge of F&F) means that he's feeling the heat.
Issa and Grassley need the support of each and every one of our elected officials. Call your elected officials and tell them to support these guys. Put the heat on these criminals. The longer this takes the better for the election come 2012.
After the next time Issa calls Holder, the worthless cull, before Congress. Just about then, I think. Not soon enouigh…
