BREAKING: Herman Cain Now Leads GOP Field Among Primary Voters, Says New Zogby Poll
by PubliusFresh off his stunning victory in the Republican straw poll in Florida this past weekend, Herman Cain now leads the entire GOP field in a new Zogby poll of Republican primary voters, with Gov. Rick Perry in second and former Gov. Mitt Romney in third:
UTICA, NY–Rick Perry has tumbled by more than 20 percentage points over the past month among Republican presidential primary voters and is now second to Herman Cain, who leads the field with 28%.
Mitt Romney received little benefit from Perrys fall, garnering 17% of the vote for third place.
As for President Barack Obama, both his job approval (42%) and the percentage who believe he deserves re-election (37%) are little changed from recent polls, but he does seem to be winning back some supporters who have been disappointed in his job performance.
These results are from an IBOPE Zogby interactive poll conducted Sept. 23-26 of all likely voters and of likely Republican primary voters.

BREAKING:
MAN GOING TO D.C. TO ARREST OBAMA!
http://www.popmodal.com/video/9498/GOING-TO-ARRES...
OH MY!!! Common sense may yet prevail! I do not want Obama Lite. I want common sense conservative fiscal policies and principals.
No wonder the MSM felt the need to refer to him as "Pizza Man." He's starting to make waves. Go, Herman, Go!
Now this is change I can believe in!
I am disappointed by Bachmann jumping the rails. Herman Cain I can EASILY get behind. And he'd be the nightmare opponent for Obama… His racist campaign that he is ALREADY running wouldn't exactly, well work. And Cain IS a true conservative.
I think the Pizza Man can Deliver!
Herman Cain I believe, will one day make 0bama nothing more than a sidenote in history.
Why do you think you are right?
September 26, 2011
Dear President Obama,
Ever wonder this? I do. I wonder if what I believe is true. As America has experienced your leadership we have a firm grasp as to what is going on here, and we are well aware of the desired setup come 2012. You should tell your friends to do some worrying because I do not believe that the American people are going to suffer through another con job election, the mood and tenor of the nation is in a word, pi$$ed. When that happens some politicians like yourself run around and try to harness and provoke anger and destruction. As you well know it is a much more difficult thing to convince people to, give up their freedom and liberty for more government, if the argument for that government is purely hypothetical. So this weekend you asked people to march and agitate for more stuff, and not freedom. Remember Mr. Obama, Mr. King was marching for freedom and equality not stuff.
So if your philosophical ilk is correct what should be the result of it now? What ought to be the barometer by which Americans measure that performance? Ought we look at the affordability of a home? Most Americans now even as more and more homes are foreclosed upon can’t afford to buy a home. The cost and affordability of a gallon of gasoline? Through the roof and going higher next summer. Or ought we look out into the state of the world? Pakistan after giving safe harbor to Osama Bin Laden, a mass murderer and our enemy, is now in the process of kicking us out of that nuclear armed country. Egypt and Syria are becoming more radicalized by the day – in the case of Egypt – with our military equipment, and Iran is relentlessly pursuing a deliverable nuclear weapon. How about something simple like race relations? Like I’ve said many times before, I view a man not by what he looks like, but what he does and says, and how closely those two match up. We call that character. I don’t care if your a bum, not hurting a soul or the President of The United States of America. If your words and deeds match up it’s cool. It’s a free country at least it was, before “The Patient Affordable Care Act” was passed without one Republican vote.
Then there is the cost of doing all of this dumb stuff. Doing dumb things is very expensive. I’ve done lots of dumb, and I’ve paid the price, I’ve never had the ability or frankly lack of shame to make my neighbor pay for my own stupidity. I imagine if I did, or we did as a nation, then those costs would have to meet our endless appetites in the form of skyrocketing debt and deficits. Which is exactly what we have. They are at the point now where we may never recover from it without a war. Why war? Well, I’ll tell you. When governments fail people lose faith en mass, and they are susceptible to some seriously evil stuff. They look to place blame and then they decide it is cheaper to take then to work. So they look over a border or two and think “Hey, what we need is right over there, lets just take it!” These days we have nuclear weapons and even bigger bombs, but I don’t think people really know what these things can do anymore, they seem to be happily ignorant of them. I’m not supporting Mr. Paul, but I did see a funny sign in someones car window it read “You keep your dumb ideas, I’ll keep my liberty!” I’ll vote for that. If he gets the nomination I’ll be voting for him.
Government, in the final analysis, must resort to force and coercion to attain it’s aims. Why? Because the citizens of this nation have very different ideas how they want to live their lives. Some want to achieve nothing, some just want to survive it with their soul intact and not hurt anyone, others want it all. Can you guess which one I am? Because I’m betting most are like me and not like you Mr. Obama. We have a long road to march back to being free and right now I’d much rather follow Mr. Cain. That man has character. That is what we need most now, in time we will elect someone with it.
Of this I have little doubt.
Respectfully,
Joe Doakes
Cain/Palin 2012? I like the sound of that . . .
They'll be calling him a lot of degrading names now!
I think the only memorized line I hear Cain say is, "My 9, 9, 9 Plan!" Love how he speaks directly and from his heart. No tele-prompter needed here!
My two choices from day one. The left would explode over this ticket. The gnashing of teeth would be endless.
What I love most, and what REALLY gets under the skin of liberals, is what Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin have said… And I'm really glad they did!
About 3 weeks ago I started to get upset because Obama is REALLY the first Bi-racial president, NOT the first Black president. If Herman Cain, God willing, was to win the presidency, HE would be the FIRST Black president.
This is exactly what Rush and the Great One had said.
With any luck, Herman Cain will win, and show the Black community the way out of the Liberal Dungeon they have occupied since the Civil Rights Act.
His tax plan is the best thing which could happen to this country. Eliminate class warfare and eliminate their power. Equality means everyone has skin in the game, THIS would do that.
In my mind I can see the two of them completing each other in such an effort. And ponder the contrast that the commies would have to refute? The race card would hit the floor and say they dump Biden and pick up the Clinton Battle Ax? Any man on this Earth will vote for Palin over someone that reminds then and sounds like their mother in law.
Good for Mr. Cain, whom I like. However, it is important to point out that Zogby used an online survey of an online panel. This unproven and inexpensive polling method isn't even counted on RealClearPolitics.com's poll averaging at: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/pres...
The only after debate poll there, a CNN one, shows Perry maintaining a lead over Romney, 28% to 21%, with Gingrich in third at 10%.
Cool. Can we start calling them "racists" from now on?
"Any man on this Earth will vote for Palin over someone that reminds then and sounds like their mother in law."
Yeah, but most women on Earth would vote for the battleaxe before they'd vote for any woman they think is more attractive than them.
That seems fair!
I know the thinking here . . . but opposed to what?
Obama?
Hates jews, poor blacks who apparently wear slippers, and the Forgotten Man like me and you, whom they are married to?
My thoughts also. They would compliment each other in a way that would completely shut the holes under the noses of the left.
…and he's the only one to come out with a plan!
This is good news. Let Pizza man Cain deliver the goodness!
I can't support a consumption tax without eliminating the income tax first! Bad mojo, mr Cane…
I'll repeat it again.
At the SRLC2010 [Southern Republican Leadership Conference] Mr. Cain was the one that impressed me the most. Yeah, Sarah was OK. Others were good. Newt just didn't get it-he is very smart and can be well versed, but inconsistency doesn't work. Perry came across as slick & polished.
But whatever we conservatives do, let's get us the best conservative leader in the White house AND get some conservatives in the House and Senate!
So, whoever comes out the other end of this primary process, we have got to give them 100% support!
I think I do like Cain better than Perry. That was a great comment he made during the last debate concerning why he would be dead right now if ObamaCare would have been in place when he got cancer.
I feel your "monica" on this one . . . I'm just saying this go around I think the girl power is on Palins side . . .
Remember we've got 12 more months of this moron to go through, plus the gas crises next summer, by the time November rolls around those soccer moms in those SUV's are going to have their g-strings in some twist brother.
Yeah, I was pulling for Bachmann too. But Cain was my second pick so I'm pleased by him winning the Florida straw poll.
I would have no problem voting for this authentic Blackman, whose down fo' the struggle.
Quoting Rev Not -so- Sharpton..
I'll take a large Freedom pie, with the works ( Freedom, liberty, small government, and some honesty. Hold the Obamachovies. Yuck )
Paging Mr. L4S, Mr. L4S, your boiled crow is ready.
Yeah–Perry is leading in simply ALLLLLLL the polls.
His 999 plan also is by far the best plan any candidate in the race has.
I like Cain. He isn't attempting to change the republican party's official political philosophy like so many tea party people are trying to do which will make him more appealable to the average republican voter.
Couple of says ago you were drooling over Perry/Palin or vice versa.
Cain Palin though? More like Palin/Cain.
Let him learn some inside DC stuff so he'll be a brilliant successor 8 years on.
Yeah, I actually think you're right this time around. Most of the females that voted for the "hope and change" guy, probably feel like jilted women at this point. And, when I see that Palin actually leads obammy with the "independents," it makes me think that a LOT of women would vote for Paris Hilton over the anointed one.
Good call.
I like Herman Cain.
I said I'd support him, going back to march of 2010 if he decided to run.
That was back before a lot of folks even knew his name.
I like him more today.
You mean they will call him Obama? That is just so wrong!
For many reasons, Palin will only hurt the Republican nominee. The reason you mention is correct, but not the only one.
Yes. And If I was Perry's campaign manager I would schedule in and enforce a rest period before every debate. I still like it. I like Cain too. I'm voting for who ever is the Republican nominee including Ron Paul. I recently met some “Paulians” in an area of the country I thought none existed and they really held their own against me. That's tough to do as I'm sure you can imagine:)
This TEA Partier would happily get behind and promote Cain. I want a businessman running things, not a lifelong politician. Sarah's waiting too long if she wanted to get in.
"feel like jilted women"
We all feel that way. In fact my rectum is so jilted and abused sitting down to type this I may need to stand.
Anyone see the progandist CNN poll today showing us who we should nominate and how "close" they poll versus the Teleprompter Tyrant? They're so transparent it's laughable.
Raise some CAIN !!
LMAO
It will be interesting to see how Obama supporters who are also African-American view Herman Cain. Many I speak with don't even know Cain exists. Cain who? But when he is more firmly on the primary map, he is sure to present a clear challenge to Obama as the leading "minority" candidate… even though, to Republicans, he is not viewed as a "minority" first, but rather as a successful private businessman, with conservative values, resume and ideas.
Fascinating to see how many Democrats, and blacks who vote race first, will jump the Obama ship and join the Cain bandwagon. And how the race baiting media, led by CNBC, Jesse Jackson, Maxine Waters and others, will try to vilify Cain as an "Oreo," as they have with Allen West. But if Cain continues to charge into the primary lead, the race issue will be nullified… or at least will split the minority voting blocks… and Obama's record will be seen as the failure it is, apart from racial distractions. Conservatives are bound to pick up votes, when people are forced to take racism out of the equation. What's a racist liberal to do then?
good luck with that one, let your family know which hospital they put you in. yes, obama is scum, but you won't get near him, and they will say you are crazy. too bad our congressman, and senators do not care about our lawless president, but you cannot solve this problem.
i would rather have a pizza man, then a community organizer. i love pizza, community organizers not so much
Perry doesn't debate well. He never has. One of my best friends and my business partner is from TX. Actually has some level of family interaction with Perry (it's an in-law thing, and he hates Perry passionately, but he's been bitching about him for months now as the drumbeat ramped up.
I would vote for Paul before staying home or casting a vote that would help Barry O'Bama–but I'd have to have a couple of drinks first.
BUZZ KILL (but I did not down you). The best thing the LSM can do to protect His Oneness is ignore Cain and pray to Gaia that he goes away. The Cain tean must double down on the next state and start spending some time in New Hampshire.
I'm trying to resolve Hermam Cain's service as a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Not sure what to make of that? And this is not to put him down, I just need to understand.
Come on people. This has got me bugged!
LOL —- Man, I wish I could "thumb you up" more than once for that. But then again, maybe you don't need any more "stimulation."
Herman Cain just came out as the first declared candidate to touch on GunWalker.
Grrassley follows up on Greta with the outright statement that the DOJ LIED about this.
GunWalker folks. That should be what everyone is talking about all day every day………because, when that finally takes place, Barry is outta there.
As I have said so many times –
Article of Impeachment should have already been filed.
John Boehner – are you golfing with Barry OR WHAT? WTF?????????
We know what a Paul win would mean. Those young people do not.
I will meet you at the bar and do same.
It's the least we could do if the younger generation really wants that I'd say we give it to 'em.
It will put hair on their chest and that may not be a bad thing.
Poll reveals those who are easily led by polls are idiots.
I keep turning around waiting for Barney Frank to jump through my window . . .
Screaming "I'll heellllpppppp . . . "
He has some big government attitudes sometimes and his Federal Reserve connections give me pause. I would however support him in the vice slot with Sarah.
Raise some cane with Palin/Cain has a nice ring to it.
Nothing to resolve. You are being bamboozled.
Except that it was a huge lie. Cain is a wealthy man, so it's reasonable to assume he had excellent health insurance and could choose the treatment he wanted after he "caught" cancer. The Affordable Care Act is not designed for people like him. It is designed for those who don't have excellent health care and or huge financial sources available.
Moreover, there is absolutely nothing in the new law that would require any patient to clear CAT scans or medical treatment with “a bureaucrat.” The government's permission isn't needed for the screening, the 2nd opinion, any consultations, surgeries, chemotherapy, etc.
Cain was openly lying and simply reviving the old “death panel” claim.
The only waiting too long exists as filing dates. There is a long time yet until that time comes. Just because Barry stomped around this country for almost two years slamming America with media kissing his backside doesn't mean Sarah has to do anything of the kind.
Pizza man? That may backfire when all of the stoners and welfare recipients catch on. He may win all 57states if he gets the nomination…
The KC Fed is conservative, straight forward and not suitable for the Tin Foil Corp.
People are finding out Perry's abysmal past, Romney's RINO record, etc. I still like Michelle… she tells it like it is. Candidates who do not lie win in Iowa… hehehehehe. (or maybe tie for first?)
Then you must be following all the polls.
And the Bill and Lions are 3-0. Great point. According to my calender… there's a whole lot of time left folks.
And all of them… still need to buy me dinner first. I'm not sold on anyone yet and one poll isn't going to sway me.
Sooo…. relax people. It's good news. It tightens things up. But…. …….
Relax.
….as they have with Allen West.
They haven't because he is a Black supremacist – joining the Congressional Black Caucus and voting to give your money to his homies.
What will be more interesting is the destruction of the GOP base – all in a failed attempt to pander to Blacks. Perhaps it will put the final nail in the coffin of the GOP.
or at least will split the minority voting blocks
Why do you care? Why not put up a White candidate and get all the White vote?
Newt is Mr NWO Orwellian… a fan of the Tofflers… look it up.. Newtie is as progressive as Obama when it comes to watch what I do not what I say.
Who could have been fooled by Perry in the first place? Not if you knew his record from way back and that drunken' like performance the other night whew! What a nutball!
I have always valued your opinion, although our opinions widely vary on numerous issues, palin probably being one of the larger ones. Back in 2008 I sure liked her. i reckon that was when she was new and fresh. As each day has clicked by, she has lost me by another day. I still like her. She has a role to play. Perhaps as kingmaker. Personally, in my opinion, she has no breadth or depth. If she sues Random House, she won't have time to run for election.
I like Herman Cain.
You are not welcome in the Tea Party if you blindly follow some Black guy because the MSM tells you to. You are worse than an Obama supporter – at least Obama had a voting record. You are just blindly supporting Cain out of White guilt.
Just another lemming.
Please don't encourage that moron. It is better when he hangs out at his own imaginary blog…
Because those are your choices. Just follow the media like the mind-numbed robot you are.
Blo me, Junior.
Those of you impressed by hot air and ebonics are no different than Obama supporters. They took him for his word, too. At least Obama had a voting record that they could have seen was contrary to his words – this guy doesn't.
But you have to be a lemming and profess undying love for THE BLACK MAN like an Obama supporter or you are a racist even though his shuck and jive doesn't even make sense.
LOL
Too funny.
By ADDING another tax on top of the IRS. I almost wish it would happen just to rub your nose in it afterwards when you finally figure it out.
We need to repeal the Civil Rights Act, yes.
Watch out, he is libel to cut a fart or two on your furniture.
Let me tell you, BigD. I am a Palin fan. I'm to the point now that if she ran, and if she became the nominee, I would dedicate everything I have to advancing her run. And if we lost, at least I'd KNOW that we advanced the best candidate. And if the country chose obammy, at least I could say America made its best case, before its downfall.
And Cain IS a true conservative.
You are clearly trying to convince YOURSELF. What proof do you have?
Is this possible? Have the people woken up and realized that substance matters more than style? I sincerely hope Cain can get the nomination. This poll is good news indeed. I, like many conservative voters, were worried about having to vote for either Romney or Perry when it came time. Hopefully I will not have to compromise my values when I pull the lever. Cain 2012!
Bumper sticker stupidity.
I've written on several occasions previously, that I intend to cast an anti-0bama vote, come hell or high water. That said, I will consider it a joy and privilege to vote for Mr. Cain, and I will go door to door on his behalf, if he gets the nomination.
A Herman Cain candidacy might, just might, break the stranglehold the dims have on the majority of the American black vote. On our side, you'd have a black man who speaks knowledgeably, confidently, and exudes sincerity; and on their side, you have a half-black charlatan, whose life experience (that which we know of) is alien to his racially-motivated base, and who can't orate his way out of an empty suit, without a teleprompter and a back-up teleprompter. Never mind that Herman Cain created jobs, while Hussein can take credit for a 16% black unemployment rate.
But, if you think you've seen it all with Sarah Palin, and her savaging at the hands of the MSM, just wait until a black man is in sight of the Republican nomination.
Cain would be Obama dark.
How so? Would you elaborate please?
Or is there "nothing to see" here?
Nothing new, I needed a designated driver to go vote for McCain. got home from work at 7:00am, pounded some Johnnie Walker, called my neighbor to drive me to the polls at 8:30am.
I would say that I appreciate your insightful wisdom and civility, but I don't. So GET OFF OF OUR BLOG!
change the republican party's official political philosophy??
What on earth are you talking about?
I hate guys who make the trolls look smart………..You're correct. Let's add another layer of cheese and call it Plan9 from the pizzeria.
And if history tells us anything…9% becomes 10% becomes 12% becomes……
I still have to give you a thumbs down anyway.
You understand right?
Oh look! Its OH SO STUPID again, come to lie, mislead and overall be a PITA.
So how much of a dullard are you going to be today? My guess would be a huge one.
Especially polls taken 14 months before the election.
Yay! We can now play the race card!
Frak off, troll.
Takes one to know one.
Another lonely troll to eviscerate.
Here's your one time complimentary bag of Cheetos. Now piss off.
Awesome! All the other candidates seem to ignore it, but this I love hearing.
Currently, he's the only candidate I'd vote for and not feel like I'm voting for a lesser evil.
Wouldn't a woman/black man Republican ticket (never mind who gets top billing for the moment) be the bee's knees? The dry cleaning bills from all the leftists' heads exploding everywhere you go would definitely be worth it! I wonder if they make a wearable shoulder-mounted plexiglass splash guard…hmm…
So you hate lemmings as well as jews and minorities? OK, just checking.
You WILL die of high velocity lead poisoning some day. Keep it up.
You will talk Sh1t to the wrong person on the right day, and that will be all she wrote.
I am not threatening you personally, I'm just pointing out "inevitability"
And posts from Jew-hating racists like yourself mean NOTHING.
Well Gadsengirl, lemme ask you one thing… When was the last time that a member of the house got elected as President?
I like the man too.
After a few caffeine-heavy refills at our corner table, I asked him about President Obama's new effort to raise taxes on the wealthy, and Cain just about blew a blood vessel–especially when I mentioned the part where Obama says it's about "math" not "class warfare."
"Can I be blunt? That's a lie," Cain said, before the sound of his voice began to rise noticeably higher. "You're not supposed to call the president a liar. Well if you're not supposed to call the president a liar, he shouldn't tell a lie. If it's not class warfare, it's highway robbery. He wants us to believe it's not class warfare, oh okay, it's not class warfare. Pick my pockets, because that's what he's doing!"
Cain paused, took a breath and looked at me.
"I'm not mad at you, I just get passionate about this stuff," he said. "I have to tell people because I get so worked up . . . . I'm listening to all this bullsh*t that he's talking about, 'fairness' and 'balanced approach' to get this economy going."
As anyone who watched the past couple of debates knows by now, Cain has his own plan that he says would steer the country out of its economic downturn. He calls it the "9-9-9 Plan," and it would replace the current tax code with three flat, nine-percent federal taxes on income, consumption and business.
"With 9-9-9 guess what? How many loopholes?" he said, tapping his fingers on the table like a drumroll. "None. Everybody gets treated the same. What a novel idea." from: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/cain-nearly-qu...
I shouldn't have to say it but I'm white and I like Herman Cain! I like it when he says Obama lied and isn't afraid to explain the lie Obama just told.
It'd be quite ironic if the democrats brand Cain as an "Oreo", considering the fact the Obama's the biggest "Oreo" of all.
