New York Fallout: Losing Dem Blames Obama

A New York Democrat candidate blamed President Barack Obama on Thursday for his loss in a special election for a House of Representatives district that had been held by the Democrats for more than 80 years.
The Republican upset on Tuesday in a district where Democrats outnumber Republicans three to one has rattled some Democrats ahead of the November 2012 presidential election.
David Weprin, a New York state assemblyman, said his loss in a race to replace disgraced Anthony Weiner, who resigned in a Twitter sex scandal, was an “unfortunate consequence” of a campaign that turned into a “referendum” on Obama’s policies.
Republican Bob Turner, a retired media executive, won by six percentage points after urging discontented voters to send Obama a message. It is the first time the Republicans have won the heavily Jewish district since the 1920s.
“The message of the campaign was, ‘Send Obama a message,’” said Weprin, who is from a well-connected political family. “I think the problem was that he’s the president and people are frustrated and it’s just natural to take it out on the top guy … or the top guy’s party.”
“As much as I tried to make it about David Weprin or Bob Turner, I don’t think that resonated to voters. I think that voters looked at it as a referendum on the president,” he said, adding that he did not believe Weiner’s scandalous resignation played a role in the Democrat loss of the district.

It is a failed political ideology's fault. Liberalism does not work. This is being played out in nations all over the planet. Obama just put us on the greatest path to far left liberalism that we've ever seen in this country, but it was started by Nazi Pelosi and Scary Reid who actually had far more to do with Obamacare than Obamugabe did.
We really need to make this point clear, otherwise people will continue to vote for the dems not fully understanding that Obamugabe is the EMBODIMENT of their failed political philosophy. They need to reject liberalism, not just democrats. Conservatives learned in the past 5 years to reject a good number of establishment GOP'ers who had become too liberal. Now it's time for the left to do the same. it will be too easy for dems to just portray Obamugabe as one bad apple in the liberal bunch when the reality is Obamugabe is the ripest apple in the entire batch.
Coming soon to a State and congressional district near you. 2012 is going to be a blood bath for the progs and it's going to be sweet. It's a shame we had to elect this fool as prez for it to happen.

The Democrats should never have let Obama run. We tried to tell them he was bad news. He's brought down the Democratic party. He's trying to bring down America!
You know what I'm counting on? It aint the Congress, at least not at first.
It's the election season. Just think about this, all this time we have MAJOR scandals being investigated in Congress, and by folks like Judicial Watch and others. Evidence is mounting up that implicates the entire administration, at every level, in incredible deviance. But the public, in general, haven't heard much about it all.
That all changes when the general election cranks up, and national ad campaigns start to pop up in every market. Regardless of who our candidate is, and what they may emphasize in their campaign ads, there are scores of PACs and 501c3s that are going to run the big ads that expose this crap.
THEN, when the public starts to see all of this, Congress would have all the evidence to bring out. All of the government oversight operations will have a platform to bring out their evidence. "Burning red-hot" will happen with public awareness first, and then the scandals will explode.

A real Tea Partier would know that it is much quicker and more efficient to just spray paint over the sticker. Again…stimulus and redistribution of wealth.

Bush deserves some blame for mishandling Iraq and Afghanistan. The economy is not his fault because of the repeal of Glass-Steagall and the Dodd-Frank lending policies at FNMA/GNMA.

Just about anyone in the Dem Party would do better than Barry. Even if the new candidate loses, he or she would not cause the Dems to lose as many Congressional seats as Barry will.
No president is perfect. They're human. If you read his book, you'd find he had his misgivings. Just not the ones the left and the media dictate that he should have. No more attempted attacks on US soil while he was in office screams volumns to me as to whether or not he was a successful president. Not whether or not he was blamless.

The difference is that in the Dem Party, the people most likely to become active and create an unfluental splinter group are their extremist base – the same type of people who hijacked the Party and put them in this predicament in the first place.
Going more conservative for the Republican Party means Party success, while going more liberal for the Democrats Party means Party failure.

To be fair, libunatics sometimes spread the blame to include the Tea Party, Reagan, Lincoln, Bristol Palin, white male heterosexuals, Christians, etc..
This man is not a typical politician. He is driven solely by an agenda that he will do anything to have enacted. Early in his presidency, Obama met with Congressional Republicans and told them he'd rather be a one term president with his agenda enacted (his words) than be a two term president and not have his agenda in place. As the s— storm intensifies closer to the election, and his prospects get dimmer, look for something spectacular from this man and his cabal. He is the biggest threat our nation has faced since WWII.
Speaking of Solyndra, etc., I suspect that if Obama gets in enough ethical and/or legal trouble to look like he's really on his way out, he'll REALLY be in trouble, because the dems just might turn on him to get him out of the way as quickly as possible to give themselves time to get their replacement candidate positioned. (And I wonder who that would be. I have a hard time believing they'd run Biden.)
