In light of recent investigative reports from the Daily Caller that reveal close coordination between Media Matters for America and the White House, BigJournalism and BigGovernment have undertaken the task of revisiting some of our prior reporting on the media watchdog group and our list of its donors. We thought...

From The Who, "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." Well…except the new one has a different name.
"Days not months" HA!, that was 6 months ago.
Why is he still a Colonel?
You would think that as leader of the country he would have promoted himself to General or Field Marshal or something.
duuuuuuhhhhhhhhh
(waiting for the first bilderburg loony to claim that Gaddafi was chosen to be the next POTUS…) in 5…4…3…2..)
It's like he's the spokesman for a middle-eastern fried chicken chain.
"welcome to Col. gaddafi's Bomb-in-a-bucket, come on down!"
"Bring the kids, get a grenade, come on down!"
-Stolen from Robin Williams, circa 1986
Quaddafi, Gaddafi, Khadafii, Quadafi, Ghadafi……
About the only thing people agree on are the last two letters of his name. Oh wait, Khaddafey……Well, that blows that theory out of the water.
Doesn't really matter how you spell his name…my question is: Why did the people ALLOW this monster to dictate their lives for such a long time?? Same as every other country over there….this is the lifestyle they are used to. They will ALL fall under the rule of another dictator ( by another name, of course! ). Their mindset seems to be that they cannot think for themselves, so have to have someone tell them what to do….it's been like that forever….
Most people in occults have to be told how, where, and when.
Hey rckmom have you put your son's video on http://www.bigdawgmusicmafia.com/
More people should see it. Your son did a great job.
No I haven't…I don't know how to do all that, but you are welcome to pass it around! Thanks for the compliment though…I go watch them play whenever I can….:) guess I will always be a *rocker*!
Obama……
That, and the fact that the old boss ain't left yet.
I thought that the Obamunist give up leadership to the Europeans on this one. Even IF Qaddafi (or whatever spelling you wish to use) is ousted, can Obama even rightfully take any credit for it or any blame for whatever government seizes control?
From the look on his face it looks like Obama has promoted himself to God.
Talk about a face "only a mother could love!" And I'm not even sure she could love it!
What is that on his jacket, is that Larry, Curly and Moe?
Momar looks cranky… Like a toddler in need of a nap!
What comes next will be worse for Libya…
"What comes next will be worse for Libya… "
Ditto. I agree with Madam Corn!
After Obama has spent a billion U.S. dollars on this 'Wag the Dog' no one posting here is asking the question-why exactly are we doing this in Libya? To let the true terrorists, Muslim Brotherhood, take over? Thanks Obama. You ain't seen nothing yet. Libyans likely to get to donate to his re-election campaign with their free debit cards courtesy of the American taxpayer-called "non-lethal aid of $25 Billion he has promised. Is that in the amount already spent in the last six months? On what was the money spent ? While you have been distracted with this joke, Obama has again violated the Constitution, assuring illegals he will not uphold the law of the US to deport them (last Thursday). That is why the term 'Wag the Dog', a distraction while he continues to destroy the country.
The correct spelling of Momar's name is,…….
KaDAFFY.
Mornin' Mr M, I haven't tuned into Fox & F for months and months, but stopped by there this a.m. to
check out the EQ coverage… missed that, but caught some "wet behind the ears" nobody Leftist
shill debating John Bolton, telling me over and over that o-HOLE was heroic, and deserves much
praise for Libya's current situ… Poor young gal made such a fool of herself I was embarrassed
for her… Where do they drag these spokes-folks up… Bolton is always on point, but he gave his
rebuttal so quickly he allowed her time to spout her talking points again … Not good!
Would someone ask WTH the Left sees for the future of Libya? Will it be another Iran? WHAT?
Google has allowed an homage to a strident anti-commie to appear on its homepage today.

Make sure to take your umbrellas today. As fascinating as it may be to watch pigs fly, there are less than desirable consequences to same.
When Reagan went after him with the F-111's, I did not see any hand wringing by the conservatives regarding the indentity of Libya's future leader. So far, we have disposed of two Arab tyrants who caused turmoil in the world. One cost us roughly one trillion dollars and nearly 5,000 American lives. The other cost us $1 billion and no lives. Give credit where credit is due.
Glad that was the first comment. It was the same one I was going to make.
"……..Give credit where credit is due…….."
Yes, to the Libyan rebels, which Iraq did not have and oh yes,……..
to American military technology. which NATO used.
And YOU can thank Reagan for that.
SCOREBOARD.
I'm thinking more in terms of another Somalia.
Are you referring to California or Libya?
When someone writes about people who "cannot think for themselves", I immediately think California.
To be precise, it's a picture of a Libyan resistance leader who was hanged by the Italian colonialists in 1931. He wore it in 2009 when he visited Italy. I'm guessing for shock value. He always was pretty big on himself.
Vanity and ugliness are not a good combination.
A S S H O L E ???
Daffy Duck, what's so hard about that?
I can only guess that Moammar, and his two sons, Larrymmar, and Curleymmar are the only ones who know the correct spelling.
"Yes, to the Libyan rebels, which Iraq did not have"
Sorry Ralph, Iraq did have Libyan rebels ,they were in the insurgency against our troops. That is why I could care less who wins, they're all scum sucking pigs(no disrespect to pigs).
America was more involved than supplying technology: http://www.defense.gov/news/newsarticle.aspx?id=6... Additionally, your are correct, Obama does have SCOREBOARD, because in this situation, like golf, the low score wins.
Hitler was only a corporal…
He is one ugly mother…
What a buffoon.
I still think he got his outfits made by Michael Jacksons tailor.
At least Chavez still recognizes him as the leader http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/08/23/us-liby...
Apparently it is a rank he chose as a tribute to another dictator over in Africa.
Don't try being witty there Bo,……..
it totally does not fit you.
With respect to interpreting history logically,…
your "low score" loses.
Another policy wonk on C-SPAN this morning was advocating that once the dust settles its the U.S.'s responsibility to move in to provide military training and equipment, police training and equipment, election training and equipment, protect the citizens from the military and police and ensure that we don't go in there and dump a lot of money at once for these things because it only supports corruption. His advise was to allow only small amounts of money to enter at a time.
After picking my chin up off the floor, my first thought was death by a thousand cuts is no different than a sudden hemorrhage which is what this moron was advocating. Either way, his point was to spend even more money that we don't have and of course, the jerk couldn't advise where this money will come from.
Rosie, get a shampoo.
What, that isn't Rosie O'Donnell? Coulda fooled me!
Mickey Rourke after a bender?
Obama is clearing out a country for himself to move into when we retire him next year.
LOL, As in DAFFY DUCK!!! ;-D Very nice Ralph! Thanks for the chuckle…
Happy Trails!
What a fashion horse.
I would not tell that to the mothers of America.
Unprecisely, I think it'a a dried-up piece of Captain Crunch.
his NCOPD ribbon is crooked.
What the hell is he smiling at ?!
"Personally, we just want to figure out how to spell the tyrant’s name. Why is that so hard?"
Because it is being translated from a non-Anglic alphabet, which is being used for a divergent dialect causing differences in the basic letter values that are not reflected in the printed versions.
Or was the question just rhetorical?
Because as a dictator, he has made no progress in any human way since he was put in power.
did ya know his cousin,…????
Saddam HuzINSANE
It's all part of being American,……..
my mother accepted it and,………
so should all others.
So now since Obama is going after a tyrant (or in this case just taking credit for it) it's okay to go after tyrants?
The only hand-wringing I remember was over Saddam Hussein, the poor, misunderstood, teddy bear.
Well, his plan did work. But then, this site did not give him credit for killing Osama.
I have an idea for you Ralph. Call up one of the mothers of the soldiers who have died in Iraq and ask them whether they would rather have their son/daughter back and have spent only one billion dollars or if they are satisfied with the status quo.
First comment on the first article I read today. LOL! LOL! LOL!
It's all downhill from here.
Or his other cousin, Mahmood Ahmanutjob?
OH………. I'm not sure what you just said. I thought it was because we had to pick a letter that works for how his name is pronounced, phonetically. Some hear a K, some hear a Q, some hear a G. Is that what you just said?
That's great, your son has a lot of talent and his message needs to be heard.
That's the second half: the regional accent makes it vary between a "k" and a "g" when spoken.
The first half is that the Arabic letter used to spell his name is closer to a "q" than a "k" or a "g" in absolute value.
Of course different copy editors settle on different transliterations:
"Q" is closest to the value of the letter
"K" is closest to the Standard Arabic pronunciation
"G" is closest to Libyan Arabic pronunication
Which one is "right"?
You can encounter something similar with the nation of Qatar when it is in the news.
You could expect it to be pronounced "Ka-tar", but it commonly sounds closer to "Gut-ter" when many people say it on TV.
Oh, that explains why when Arabs spell it English they don't agree either. Ya know, when I first read Publius's question, I immediately thought….I hope Bronx is here, he can answer that"! And, you did!
It was only a few days ago my husband was grumbling about all the different ways to spell Arab stuff……..now I can tell him….I know! Na, Na…..na…na Nah!
Thanks. Now, I feel so smart. :^D
Now there is a lovely portrait.
Yeah, I picked up the basics of understanding that when I was trying (and failing) to learn Hebrew.
Dealing with different pronunciations is hard enough, but when crossing over between alphabets it can become utterly baffling.
I found out I just can't learn a language unless I'm speaking it every day. I'll just stick with math, the universal language. Suits my brain better.
I can speak three languages though….Spanish, English and Texan! :^D
The weird thing is I'm great at picking up principles of language function but lousy at picking up functional vocabulary. And I'm great at basic math but lousy at advanced math.
I used to speak excellent Upper Class Manhattan, but it requires more and more effort since I just use my Lower Middle Class/Lower Class Bronx regularly now. My accent is becoming thoroughly incomprehensible to outsiders.
Fortunately I still write quite well in both Standard American English and Early 20th Century American English (Golden Age sci-fi/fantasy), and can do passable imitations of 18th-19th Century American English (the Constitution), Modernized Saga English (Tolkien), and Jamesian English (King James Bible).
Speaking of languages, remember this one?
http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/154531/the-...
LOL
Yes.
That's a great example of the craziness you get dealing with language.
I also like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darmok
That summary is off though – they use eponyms more than metaphors – words based on the names of individuals whose actions or locations whose characteristics have become descriptive of concepts. We have more than a few of those in English – sadistic, pyrrhic, martinet, and so forth. Or at least that is how their speech SHOULD have been translated, assuming the Universal Translator can handle such words in the first place.
Even without the Universal Translator, that the crew was blitheringly oblivious to such simple concepts demonstrated more about their stupidity than demonstrating any unique linguistic characteristic.
I know Roddenbury didn't have much to do with Next Generation, even though they always had his name in the credits…probably for the fans. I bet he would have handled the problem more accurately. I miss that guy. We need more visionaries.
He's a true conservative, and true patriot too!
what a dumb, dumb, dumb question.
Forgot to ask yesterday mornin'… Shake much???
; )
OCP,
Shook a bit. Shook again middle of the night last night.
We lived in Californication for 5 years, so we are old hands ma'am.
BTW – I bought a 50hp 4wd Tractor with FEL, grapple, and bush-hog…
I also have 29 Guinea Fowl between 3 weeks and 16 weeks old…
I think I qualify as a REAL Rancher now…
Be well ma'am!
God Bless.
HEY, congrats on your recent acquisitions. YEP, sounds as though you qualify as a real
VA Rancher to me… Hope you don't live too close to a hi-way, for some reason those dang
Guinea's love to play "chicken" with vehicles. What can one expect, their brain is the size
of a pea. We always speculated they were drawn to hi-ways in search of small gravel to
ingest to aid their digestion. Good choice because Guineas hate snakes, wish I had
some now. I killed a rattler sunning himself on the hi-way just North of my homestead a
few days ago. LOL, I used the sudden-brake smear method to eliminate him. At about
30 mph, when I felt my front vehicle tire contact his body, I applied the brakes very firmly.
Ahhh, the sliding feel of sweet success… He was instantly rattler 'pate'. Only four rattles,
so I didn't bother retrieving them for my collection.
I thought that was George Harrison at first, and then I remembered he died…
Or did he???
Are the Bigs broken? It won't load anything but from way earlier for me…
Howdy VA! Congrats on the tractor and such… Need any cucumber? I have harvested nearly 100lbs in the last ten days…
Hell I don't know which of those Beatles are alive, except Paul… :-] Sorry, not into pop-culture much,
but you knew that…
Bigs broke? Yep, they were for a while this af'nn, but a few minutes ago I was able to access normally.
Before that I was clicking on reply to a comment from my email, then going to the top of the page to
click on home. It worked, but was s l o w to load…
Happy Trails, SP!
; )
WOW, you must really be in a pickle!
:^)
How did I miss this reply for so long? A "pickle"? Over 20qts now… Keepin' all my lady friends real happy too… Well, most of 'em… Geography prevents 100% total satisfaction… My corn is unbelievable too – near 20% harvested, and NO pests… IL_Farmer has had a FINE season… Cantaloupe to follow – you wouldn't believe me on how THAT is going… Near big as your head…
Be well brother…
