In the two previous blog installments “Part 1: Quid Pro Quo” and “Part 2: Get Out Jail Free Cards” the real-life scandal of government union boss Ron Saathoff is documented. “Part 1” exposes Saathoff’s abuse of his position and taxpayers to reap a special taxpayer-funded retirement increase...

Wonder if anyone then saw it coming the way I, and probably some of you, see the next one coming! It will start in the middle east then once again the US will get sucked right into it. More than likely this will happen when Israel is attacked or will "we" sit back and watch them once again get decimated? Or through a financial collapse and battle over the prehistoric graveyard aka oil fields will make it happen?
Oil dependecy, overwhelming debt & out of control spending, right vs left, christianity vs islam, islam vs everyone, drug wars spilling into the US etc etc, oh how the perfect storm is upon us. You can be sure there are many who want it to happen….
….if you are reading this you are the resistance http://savingtherepublic.com
If WWIII has to happen to save this great nation from falling into the hands of the socialists, communists, marxists fools, that want to see us taken down…so be it! I hate the thought of any war being brought to the shores of the USA, but if any of these crazy's think that we will just sit back and give in…they don't know us very well!!!
Good morning everyone…LET FREEDOM RING!!!
The role of the US forces in the Great War is a fascinating topic still being debated (let alone Wilson and Versaille, see MacMillan, Paris 1919: Six Months that Changed the World, great recent work on that subject).
After the butchery at the Somme and Verdun coupled with Russia's descent into revolution and exit from the conflict by the end of 1917, it looked like a terrible war of attrition would be the final outcome.
But the US entry to the war and the threat of 10000 US troops a day landing in France by mid-1918 forced the Germans into the fateful 1918 spring offensive. Once that petered out, at the cost of a quarter million German casualties, the Allies were on the move until the end.
Many minimize the contribution of the US to the Great War (as, unfortunately, did post-Versaille Germany). But, once engaged in large scale conflict, the story of American forces is largely one of victory after victory that managed to inspire the entire world and pave the way for what was hoped (at least for a time) to be a far brighter future.
One of many wars by progressives against progressives and untold millions died.
Look at that picture. Look at those brave souls.
The first major 20th century war, the first war with modern weapons, unfortunately fought with 16th century tactics (same ones used in the Civil War, and by pikemen in earlier European wars).
I'd bet money most of those men pictured died in combat, or later from their wounds…
Brutal fighting…
God Rest their souls.
I sure hope WWIII doesn't breakout any time soon………………….we couldn't afford to fight it right now.
And we'd look pretty ridiculous with president "boot licker" acting as our Commender-in-chief.
He'd probably just mail it in……………………kind of like his basketball pool.
The war to end all wars, brought to you by a Progressive.
Influenza took a heavy toll also.
Today, in 1930, Chicago-area bakery manager James A. Dewar invented the Hostess Twinkie………..and Chicago hasn't been the same since.
Take that…………………….you Ho-Ho's!
My grandfather, who had immigrated to America from Sicily just a couple years prior to this enlisted in the Army and ended up in the Cavalry riding a horse through the war. Lot's of interesting stories the old man had when we were kids. God bless and keep all our military folks – they are the primary reason we are still a free nation – at least for a while yet.
Not sucked in – you mean out corrupt government dragging us in to war?
Israel is the one starting wars – they attacked their neighbors in 1967 and tried to spin it that they were attacked but they weren't able to maintain that lie like many of the other lies these people have told have evaporated when expose to the truth.
If not for our government supporting those Israeli parasites we would have more allies and cheaper oil. Americans get nothing out of this deal.
Look at those American farm boys, lined up in their best, only 52 years after the "unCivil War", another
instance of rural America giving up a few hundred thousand of her bravest. Probably the best pair of
shoes some of them ever had on their feet. We no longer produce the numbers out here in stixville . . .
to allow for such foolish waste of human life . . .
Probably the only reason we'll never see another ''World War".
Bring on the robots! Oh how these boys would have appreciated ''smart bullets".
.
LOL! Are you the variety that thought attacking Afghanistan and Iraq would also prevent some threat from Muslims? That threat comes from immigration and nothing significant has been done about that. Wars just make us poorer and less free. But the government likes it that way.
Marxism and communism are Jewish movements, btw.
Look up the Christmas Truce. These men started to discover that the people were not the enemy….the government is….so that was squashed very quickly.
And today …the Socialist Leftists, Commie-Pinkos are declaring War on America – its way of life, morals, values and principles, intent on collapsing this great country and the US Constitution. Gov't Union Members: is THIS what YOU want ??? We know your Union Thugs want this …but honestly, do YOU want this, too?
whow, whow,..slow down there sweetie,……….
half those boys in that line were from the south side of Chi-town.
Yeah, they now have a Twinkie ballerina as its Mayor.
As of now, Prosser is up by 800 votes. While I try to remain optimistic, the counties/precincts that still need to report, heavily favor the union backed candidate. I'm sure the Dems/unions are rushing "ballots" to those locations to jam into the results.

Decaring war?
We are at war. A cold war that's quickly heating up…..
The Springfield 1903 went to war. That was some rifle.
And some of their first victories came when they fought under the command of General Monash commander of the Australian Corps.
I was going to mention disease.
Disease killed more men in the Civil war than bullets did…
I figured you were going to blame WW1 on Israel, like you blame EVERYTHING on "the Juice"…
You are an ignorant anti-semite and truly you ust need to take your idiotic crap elsewhere…
GO AWAY!
Morning, Deuse. Yep, an understatement to be sure. I know many who are union members and do not approve in the least of what the Union Thugs are doing nor do they agree with their politics. But they are in FEAR, the cowards they are, of their gov't job. And I call them on this, each and every time.
And we had to pay royalties to Paul Mauser for stealing his ideas.
Never knew that. "We" meaning the tax payers?
Morning….
They should be afraid, for the thugs will just make them collateral damage…..
Yep. Mauser had US Patents on most of the M'91 thru '98 and the '03 took a couple. The Treasury had to pay licensing fees. (Hatcher's Notebook is one source.)
No doubt our forces fought bravely, but I believe getting involved in WW i was a mistake. It would have been far better for us to remain truly neutral and not try to favor either side. The German submarine attacks were largely a response to our tacit support of the Allies. We ran up tremendous debts and established a precedent for getting involved in all kinds of wars by getting involved in WW I. And then there was the "peace treaty" that set the stage for Adolf Hitler. I really don't think the price was worth it in the end.
Wow. I wouldn't of want to be the guy who had to sign that check!
Ya …all I can do is educate them and get them to vote at each and every election. And they are!
Vote against the fleebaggers in the Time's most influentioal poll..
http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/articl...
Commenters are GUSHING over these fleebaggers.
Unfortunately, we are still dealing with the effects of Mr. Wilson and the other self agrandizing leaders that dictated the 1919 treaty. That treaty was the first step of the implementation of the progressive New World Order. I urge everyone to actually read the treaty, study the re-drawing of the national boundaries and the parties involved. I fought a war in '91 as a direct result of this first pass of progressivism. For the purpose of this thread, it is my belief that the U.S. will collapse from economic catastrophe and be torn apart by an ideological civil conflict. At that point, Russia will seize Alaska and the Northern oil reserves to "preserve them for the greater good". Mexico will reclaim the southwest "by osmosis" and the east and midwest will be at war with one another until the weakness of the leftist ideology reduces it to ashes. As stated in an earlier post here, 'If you are reading this, you are the resistance'. Please arm yourselves with facts, truth and faith. They are the only thing that will re-build this nation after everything plays out.
Semper Fi
The sad truth is, if Obama serves a second term, it WILL be the END of the Republic…..
and the begining of the New World Order….
WWI or the Great War. The Money Changer's War. Thank God for General Pershing and GySgt. Dan Daly.
We'll find out soon enough…..
We've got less than two years….
Sadder …I honestly don't think they're going to wait for 2012. Too many players with thugs at their beck and call and too many useful idiots.
Dithering. This is most often what turns national and world-wide conflagrations of disputes into wars. Too many politicians to name go under this heading. Our current president is obviously the latest.
In a mere ten hours the German war machine was transported to their assigned posts via any and all means of transport. A highly astounding feat for its day. For a solid look into the times consult, "Henry White; Thirty years of American diplomacy" by Alan Nevins.
Still dealing with those mommy issues I see.
Actually the Germans were better at trench warfare. Their generals spent time studying the writings of Gen. James Longstreet C.S.A. The allies were still working with Napoleon tactics.
No, not if they think they'll lose the election….
There is no way these people will give up their power….not without a fight….and it's coming…
In 1918, when soldiers returned to the town I grew up in, there was such an epidemic of the flu from Europe, the state quarantined the town.
You lost me on that one. Don't you mean 'not if they think they'll win the election?
Sorry, if I was unclear….
I mean't to say that if they think they'll lose the next election, they'l likely try to make sure there is no election at all….
had a late night….
and not looking forward to the weekend….
Can't be one of those dreaded honey-do weekends eh Deuse?
My Grandad was in the 55th coastal artillery regiment from Massachussetts and big guns were one of the first things we sent over there to help out because our ground troops weren't really prepared for a modern war yet. He died before I was born in the early 50's, probably from exposure to mustard gas but, I still have his diary and his black and white photo album. One of his favorite things was his portable camera (a wood and leather box back in those days) and he took pictures of everything..
I wish it was….
I work nights and weekends….sometimes out of town….
Yeh!! Yeh!! We know you hate Jews, what happened? Did your Mommie get knocked up by one? Get another line this one is getting old.
Yeh!! Yeh!! We know you hate Jews, what happened? Did your Mommie get knocked up by one? Get another line this one is getting old. If the Government is your enemy just get out of the Country, I am sure Israel will welcome you with open arms and maybe they will let you have some of that money that your forever complaining we give them.
Hubby and I give one another those lists every weekend over a cup of coffee …look 'em over – a few sighs, laughs. Then throw them away. lol
Everything was an empire back then.
Wilson's intent of having a seat at the League of Nations drove us into the war, not 128 Americans being killed on the Lusitania. Luckily for Wilson, the Zimmerman Telegram just fell right into his lap.
My stepdaughter's boyfriend is staying with us right now till he gets work locally. What's cool is, my honey has him locked with the "do's" which aleviates me to do other "things". Hope she fills his plate with as much as possible…..leaves me with less for a while……till she comes up with other "do's" later.
Rough schedule Deuse…..
That does try a man's soul at times…..
It's not really hard work…
I usually just stand around and look serious….
Too funny …glad hubby and I are on the same page …and I shop like a man. He loves that.
Somehow…it sounds like you're VERY good at what you do.
Serious question….
How can we communicate outside the BIG's?
Haahahaaaa…..
Actually, beats charging him rent…..
My nestmate say that I shop like I'm robbng the place…
I go in, grab what I want, and get the hell out….
That's a tough one…
My work requires me to stay under the radar….
He wasn't asking you, silly …we know that.
Understood…..
There are several here, I'd like to stay in touch with outside the realm of the Big blogs. Except, exposing contact info is not cool and something I won't do and wouldn't expect others to do either.
Right behind you. Don't even try on the clothes 1st.
Noticed the trolls have been by doing their ding-alings.
Yeah, noticed that too….
Got "it"….Consider me same….with answered questions, always follows with a test….which helps verify if one is on the right track to success. I like to keep same and always want to keep friends close for support…..
I believe I've provided contact info to you b4 …hope you kept it.
I've pissed-off a few people and don't want to expose my nestmate to any trouble or danger….
You have my utmost respect for that….I feel the same way with mine….
I've burned throuh a few notebooks since then…
I doubt, that I still have it….
Well, never thought I'd say this to you – that was a der da der moment.
Yeah, I've had more than my share….
lol Getting a little tight in here. Feels like I'm in a 1-man sub, having to hold my breath.
Yeah, the thread is getting a little narrow…
We'll soon be down to one word replys….
Geez …I should be so skinny.
and I have been accused of being narrow minded…..
LMAO. At what point do we get buzzed out and will the computer screen explode?
right about n… .. .
…ROFLMAO
WW1 was truly an awful war, the worst, in my (small, insignificant) opinion.
Belgium, Tannenberg, Ypres, the Somme, the Isonzo, the battles in the East, Passchendaele, the Turkish battles, the horrors of Verdun.
"At the other end of the world, Shackleton had reached South Georgia Island after two years' isolation in Antarctica : ' Tell me, when was the war over ? ' I asked.
'The war is not over,' he answered. 'Millions are being killed. Europe is mad. The world is mad.' "
This is from Winston Churchill's book on WW1 – "The World Crisis" :
On the idle hill of summer,
Sleepy with the sound of dreams,
Far I hear the steady drummer,
Drumming like a noise in dreams.
Far and near and low and louder,
On the roads of earth go by,
Dear to friends and food for powder,
Soldiers marching, all to die.
The Shropshire Lad, XXXV
For me?
got it…
And deus.
