Gov. Christie Vetoes Planned Parenthood Funding

Following the release of a video that has received nationwide attention showing Planned Parenthood staff at a New Jersey abortion center helping alleged sexual traffickers cover up their crimes with abortions and STD testing, Governor Chris Christie has vetoed a bill funding Planned Parenthood.
A new undercover video shows Planned Parenthood officials in New Jersey telling a pimp and his prostitute assistant how they can get abortions for young teenage girls who, Planned Parenthood officials are informed, are Asians in the country illegally and forced into the sex trade. The staffer was later fired for her actions.
The Perth Amboy abortion center where the video is filmed is the second-largest Planned Parenthood center operated by Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey and the abortion business plans to double its number of abortion centers in the state.
Christie has already yanked state taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood but the state legislature sent him a bill to restore the taxpayer funds.

Good for Governor Christie, once again he has done what is right. There are 49 other governors that should follow his lead.
I feel confident that Christie looked over the entire issue rationally-(based on his past decisions and responses)-PP tried to say it was normal behaviour and they turned it over to the FBI…. but that is easy to check into (in all 10 cases) and base it from that, yep I believe Christie is our man!
Why not charge the entire organization as an ongoing criminal enterprise, shut them down totally and sieze all their assets?

Christie is one of the few politico's who has his head screwed on straight, who uses some good old fashioned common sense and logic.
That process would take awhile, a court order needs to be obtained….laws need to be followed. An investigation is under way I bet.
He is a rarity in the political world, where lying, cheating, stealing, and socialist reign.
We do need Christie or someone like him to run for president soon.
He is the only man in govt today who actually has a set to do what must be done and tells people the truth. He was on Cavuto and says he wont run for the WH. Many want to see him on the '12 ticket either he is telling the truth that he wont run or, he is lying to keep the libertard hacks off his back in the meantime. He said his concern is with doing what he was elected to do in cleaning up NJ so we may have to wait till '16.
If anything the other governors, heck all politicians need to take a lesson from this man. This is a man who governs for the people.

The more I hear about this guy, the more I like him. NJ is fortunate to have such a governor. He just may turn that state into a profit center for its citizens.
We need about 60 more just like him. But I'll accept only one if he were in the oval office with a supportative congress.
This is what journalism is supposed to do. Some intrepid reporters go out into the the world, find the truth, then broadcast it. Then, if we are lucky, our representatives act on that truth, and not the editorialized version of it.

Yep, I'm hoping Kasich – R, here in Ohio, can follow suit. The latest is that all the minority groups are up in arms that he does not have a minority sitting on his cabinet and has not backed down. He has stated that he filled the cabinet with the most qualified individuals. I hope he stays the course.
If Allen West decided to run, I'd drop everything else I'm doing and volunteer to work for his campaign. If we're going to draft anyone for 2012, THAT is the man.

If the folks of NJ really want to turn their state around, they would fight tooth and nail to keep Christie.
Take a good look at Allen West, an honorable man, with the leadership skills already well developed, and a clear sense on foreign policy. I'm also fairly certain that he has a great background on free market economics and less govt interference in that area. Additionally, he brings to the table his American patriotism.

The problem with possible felony prosecution is that it was a sham. No felony was committed or even contemplated. While the PP representative indicated a willingness to participate there was no "meeting of the minds" of the conspirators sufficent to meet the definition of a conspiracy. They are slime caught in their willingness to be a criminal, but probably not prosecutable.

I have always contended that.
In some states, RINOs are the only Republicans who can get elected…. for example, Scott Brown in Massachusetts. As long as they vote with the party on the really important issues, where every single vote counts, that's all right with me. It was the scumbags like Lincoln Chaffee and especially Arlen Spector who could never be counted on, who were the reason why I never donated to the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee… because I did not want any of my dollars going to Chaffee or Spector.
Mike Castle was not a very good Republican, and I would not have voted for him in the primary; but I would have definitely supported him in the general election if he'd been the nominee.

JB, to me most Rinos are Dem lites, I can't trust any of them.Like yourself I agree there are issues I would put above others, but like Spector when the heat was turned on him he switched parties. I do understand your reasoning , with Christie there are some issues I can't overcome to support him for any run for the White House, I'd rather have a CEO/Hawk type like Trump.
Another reason why I don't like Gov. Christie. It is not that he halted the funding. It is the fact that he waited until there was a scandal. Funding programs like Planned Parenthood is not the states business. In effect funding Planned Parenthood is using tax dollars to fund abortion. He should have made this an issue a long time ago instead of grandstanding against teachers unions.

This is most heartening. The State is broken, the Gov makes choices. Wether the video had anything to do with Christies veto or not, I suspect most pols would have signed on for the funding. Let PP send them the bill. It can sit on his desk.
Now that they're horrific behavior and actions have been exposed, Planned Parenthood will do an ACORN and change their name, while continuing the same disgusting behavior. I suggest they tell it like it is and call themselves: "Unborn Fetus Murderers R Us" with their slogan "One Billion Fetus Murders Served – and Counting." (And, of course, "Want Fries with that Abortion?")

The only potential benefit in allowing abortion clinics for liberals is that they are killing their own children. The downside is that humans have to bear the cost of liberals irresponsible breeding practices. I guess it's cheaper to scrape out their unwanted life than to have to pay for them via Earned Income Credits for life. Life means nothing to liberals abortionists.

Planned Parenthood need now worry. They'll go straight to Barry with their hands out for federal funding like they always do. The imperial federal government will claim that this is a "crisis" and an executive order will be signed authorizing the US Treasury to cut them a check. That's how this is all going to play out. However, I'm glad that Gov. Christie is taking a principled stand against murdering the unborn.

The problem I see, is that even if all the states defunded Planned Parenthood (which they should do), the Left in Washington would undoubtedly take pity and try to make up the diffference in the loss of the state funds.
A little thing like underage prostitution wouldn't affect their moral compass.

Do you really think an organization should be shut down based on a videotape someone makes, with no due process, no hearing, no trial, no proof of wrongdoing? Planned Parenthood prevents millions of abortions because they provide birth control to women. Or would you rather have millions of unwanted "wrong color" babies born that you have to pay for?

"Wrong color" babies? NO ONE is of the "wrong" color. Everyone is of the color God made them in, the right color for their right purpose in His Plan.
"Unwanted"? EVERYONE is wanted by SOMEONE. Even if the birth parents don't want the child, the waiting list to adopt a baby is FIVE YEARS LONG! It's even longer when looking to adopt a special needs child.
Planned Parenthood doesn't prevent abortions, because they don't believe in abstinence, they push birth control on those who aren't truly ready for sex, and tell them that being sexual is okay. They do this so that more people will come in for abortions after their form of contraception fail them. Planned Parenthood says that condoms are 99.9% effective if used correctly. However, if there is ANY deviation from the way they are supposed to be used, it's less. The way the general public uses them makes them about 80-85% effective. An acquaintance of mine was on the pill, and her boyfriend used a condom, and she STILL became pregnant. However, she didn't believe in abortion, so her daughter got to live.
Abortion is what brings in money to PP. Why would they stifle the service which funds their business?
As for a trial, I'm sure that's in the works, and PP's lawyers are already on it, because they know it's coming. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama is working on it, and is named co-chair, as he is on their board.
The proof of wrong-doing is in Live Action's videos. It's in the testimony of survivors. It's in the audio recordings and transcripts of Life Dynamic's investigation. There is PLENTY of evidence. It's just that it will take time to put it all together in a fashion that will get the public to wake up of their complacence towards PP, as PP is deeply embedded into the government, the media, Hollywood, public services, etc. They've brainwashed America, and the world, into thinking that they're the good guys, when, truthfully, they are the most corrupt organization around! Dare I say it: More corrupt even than Walmart!
We have to wake up from this stupor they've put us into. We have to do something about it! We have to shout from the roof tops! We make it so that victims are not afraid to come forward! We have to indict them, just as we did ACORN and ENRON. We will. And we will win, because I believe that PP does not have a real leg to stand on. They only have the word of their corrupt investors and employees. Not the tangible evidence we have. They didn't call local law enforcement right away, as is the law, and they gave instructions on circumventing the law to someone they believed was a sex trafficking pimp. We have the evidence of this.
What they did was commit a federal offense, one which could be seen as an international offense. This cannot be excused. If it is excused, then those that excuse it are siding with those who are actual pimps and sex traffickers, making themselves liable for the crimes as well. Those who excuse this are just as bad as the pimps and sex traffickers, and cannot and should not be trusted in caring for anyone, especially in caring for the health of others.
Also, I'd rather have money go to caring for children, than to killing them.
