Just as an arbitrary thread starter, does anyone else see what they're doing with oil prices? They screamed for days that it was hovering near $100, almost $100, over and over again, when it simply stayed at less than 92, or just over it. When it went down, they began to talk about how Brent Crude is over $100. They've changed which barrel of oil they quote JUST to be able to say oil is over $100. Manipulation? Egypt is about manipulation. They shut down the ports, everything but the Suez, in order to cause this crisis. This is also an attempt to drive the price of oil up, something they haven't been able to do. Notice how we had lots of riots, but no real damage? I'm betting most of the ones who were killed were targeted. And it's widespread, not as in all sorts of people, but as in, Islamic and Unions and Communists are all working together, even coordinating their efforts. Same thing happened in Tunisia. No real problems, just sudden uprisings and riots, THEN food shortages when the problems start. Now it's going to be Jordan. They're taking over one at a time, peacefully, or at least, as peaceful as the New World Order types get. Obama is one of their lackeys.
I'm just sayin'.
It's also my birthday, so what I'll do with it will involve cake…even if that damned groundhog steals my thunder every year.

But as he popped his head out into the day, he found himself nose-to-muzzle with a 12-gauge shotgun. He froze. "What…what do you want?" he stammered. A quiet but steel-hard voice issued over the unwavering barrel. "Just go back into your hole. No, don't look around first. Just pull your head back into your burrow and we'll say nothing more." Phil gulped, nodded minutely, and retreated into the warmth and safety of his hole. From outside, he heard a sigh of relief.
Albore will come out instead and declare that the planet will be dead after six more weeks of global warming.

Well tonight I will be shoveling 10" to 24"s of global warming, Al Gore is an IDIOT, we had this kind of weather in the early 50's, and late 60's, does anybody remember the Global Cooling crazies in the early 70's when we were headed towards an Ice Age? Well I do and I laughed at them but not as loud as I do at that Idiot Al Gore and his Global Warming Scam.
Including the blizzard.

I have shoveled and salted my driveway more times this winter . . . I don't even get mail anymore, the snow and ice have overcome it. It would take a pick ax to dig it out. The school is basically closed for winter. If I could I'd move to Florida. Today. Currently I've got 1/2 inch of ice, and am debating going to the tool rental to rent one of those propane flame throwers to melt it. Or pay the highway department to dump a load of salt right smack in the middle of the driveway.
He said an early spring huh? How does he explain the 20 degree "Feels like 8" in Austin Texas? Weather mammal – my frozen feet!

Our woodchuck is buried under 2-3 feet of snow. I hope he doesn't suffocate. He'll need to chuck some wood for us later so we don't freeze. It's going well below zero tonight.
