When Peter Schweizer uncovered evidence of insider trading by Republican chairman of the House Financial Services Committee Spencer Bachus (R-AL), and 60 Minutes reported on it, I was the first person to call for Rep. Bachus to resign. That was November 14, 2011. Now, with news that the Office...

God Bless our Founding Fathers, for having morals, and a very acute wariness for the foibles of human nature. We absolutely *MUST* return to being an educated and moral society if we wish to continue the liberties for which they so desperately fought and died defending.
Little did the Founders know that the City they were in at the time would one day become worse than what they were attempting to break away from.
Had they (the Foundes) to do it all over again, with foresight into this time, I'd hazard a guess and say that the Constitution would be a completely different document, one with Clause after Clause restricting the Federal Government from doing anything except raise and support an Army and Navy.
Thomas Jefferson lamented (I suppose due to Alexander Hamilton's drive to create "debt" in order to establish national credit) that congress did not establish the pegged currency (to gold, at the time). In hindsight, the establishment of a currency pegged to a "basket of commodities" would have taken politics out of the equation, and only the basket of commodities would be modified according to market conditions. Unfortunately, the realities of incurring debt in fighting the war, and assuming the debt of states, the Federal government gained centralized control of the currency, and left it's handling to private bankers (i.e. the Federal Reserve)
First Prayer of the Continental Congress, 1774
O Lord our Heavenly Father, high and mighty King of kings, and Lord of lords, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers on earth and reignest with power supreme and uncontrolled over all the Kingdoms, Empires and Governments; look down in mercy, we beseech Thee, on these our American States, who have fled to Thee from the rod of the oppressor and thrown themselves on Thy gracious protection, desiring to be henceforth dependent only on Thee. To Thee have they appealed for the righteousness of their cause; to Thee do they now look up for that countenance and support, which Thou alone canst give. Take them, therefore, Heavenly Father, under Thy nurturing care; give them wisdom in Council and valor in the field; defeat the malicious designs of our cruel adversaries; convince them of the unrighteousness of their Cause and if they persist in their sanguinary purposes, of own unerring justice, sounding in their hearts, constrain them to drop the weapons of war from their unnerved hands in the day of battle!
Be Thou present, O God of wisdom, and direct the councils of this honorable assembly; enable them to settle things on the best and surest foundation. That the scene of blood may be speedily closed; that order, harmony and peace may be effectually restored, and truth and justice, religion and piety, prevail and flourish amongst the people. Preserve the health of their bodies and vigor of their minds; shower down on them and the millions they here represent, such temporal blessings as Thou seest expedient for them in this world and crown them with everlasting glory in the world to come. All this we ask in the name and through the merits of Jesus Christ, Thy Son and our Savior.
Amen.

Amen indeed. It seems that God listens. Perhaps after November 2nd, our Congress hopefully will listen as well.
Our Founding Fathers are rolling around in their graves!!!…They
would be shocked to see what these politicians and the courts did to the
Constitution….My bet would be that they would put an Amendment
in the Constitution to jail these criminals, and for anyone that
wanted to run for President would have to be open and
forthcoming with school transcripts, and their birth certificate
Things have changed so very much since those times! Today, George Washington wouldn't just be in trouble with his father for cutting down the cherry tree. He'd be fined by the local zoning office for not obtaining a permit and then paying a fee to the government for the privilege of cutting down a tree on his own property.
John Adams stated to his wife in a letter,
“[Rev] Duche, unexpectedly to everybody, struck out into extemporaneous prayer filled which filled the bosom of every man present. I must confess I never heard a better prayer. . . .with such fervor, such ardor, earnestness and pathos, and in a language so elegant and sublime for America [and] for the Congress. . . .It has had an excellent effect upon everybody here.” He went on to say, “I never saw a greater effect upon an audience. It seemed as if Heaven had ordained that Psalm to be read on the morning. . . .I must beg you to read that Psalm. . . [Read] the 35th Psalm to [your friends]. Read it to your father.” One other delegate said he was “worth riding 100 miles to hear.”
I just finished reading the 35th Psalm, and putting it into the context of the British Occupation, the words come very much alive. They indeed also come alive given today's situation, if you substitute progressives for the British.
Read the 35th Psalm, and rejoice.
.
I wonder how much Philadelphia would charge them for having a group blog?
.
bil,
Thanks for putting this into some proper context!
I am sure it would be excessive.
Further, I wouldn't be surprised if Philadelphia charged them an "Assembly Tax".
The Founding Fathers had Faith.
Faith in themselves, and in the concept they were endeavoring to create.
True Grit.
that was back in the day of the statesman, when a person made sacrifices to leave his home to go see about the bussiness of the next generations. now we have treasonous criminals telling us and future generations we need to sacrifice for the politicians power and continued prestige.
This piece about our Cultural Inheritance dovetails nicely with the Founding Fathers. http://www.patheos.com/Resources/Additional-Resou...
They would not hesitate to Prosecute Obama's whole Administration swiftly, for Abuse of Power, High Crimes,Failure to uphold OATH to uphold The Constitution!
And in 1972, the religion of the pedophile prophet of doom attacked the Olympic Village at Munich, resulting in the deaths of nine people, plus five paradise seekers.
Let us not forget their ways.
And it all started with a Humble Prayer.
Be Thou present, O God of wisdom, and direct the councils of this honorable assembly; enable them to settle things on the best and surest foundation. What a bunch of dummies, our ‘60s radical Dweebocracy knows what’s best! What did the lead dweeb (Barry) tell us about the end result of the gathering of these fierce “men” too paraphrase, “The Constitution is a charter of negative rights, it doesn’t tell us what government can do for us.” Wow! Just think if these idiots had been around in 1774 to 1787, pistols at dawn, or we’d be singing God Save the Queen!
I like the invocation of that prayer.
It sounds much better than "Asa Lama Lakim"………
Pistols at dawn, eh?
Me likes your thought process……….
Philadelphia – the city of Brotherly Corruption. Oh how far this once great city has fallen. From desires, effort, and compromise of many great men, a country was founded on liberty, private property, and limited government. Now we have government taking liberties with the law, private property being limited by regulations, and the individual becoming a dependent to government. Those hurt the worst by this have bought into the lie that government can take care of you better than you can take care of yourself. Centuries of results say otherwise.
So much for citizen representatives too!…Now we have senators and conressmen that groom their children and grandchildren to be politicians and live lives so very out of touch with the American middle class. Vote out the incumbent senators and congressmen!
Citizen statesmen was what I believe the founders wanted. One or two years as a 'public' servant' then back to your real job. Think of it as extended jury duty,
Initially, any taxation was to create a military to defend and protect and to pay off any debts. And this taxation was NOT to be for home or land owners as that would counter one's right to actually OWN property …it was to be a consumption tax. NO ONE truly owns their property, even if they've paid their mortgage off …they are still taxed and if they don't pay, the gov't takes ownership. Here in FL, the State raises property taxes every year …maximum is 3%, minimum is about 2.6% …every year …it is down right out wrong.
ROFL…. Ya got that right. ;0)
Oh, you know it brother! Honor and integrity were a critical ingredient to the Founders. They’d hear some tripe coming from a Barry, Harry, or Nancy, and swords would be drawn, or pistols at dawn. These men risked “everything!” …our current crop of effete democrats, or Washington statist risk nothing, it’s all about “what’s in it for me!” …simply pitiful. They use politics as a way to get rich, both parties, disgusting!
Driving around town and see all the signs for people running for what ever government job they want be it local state or federal.
Not one Democrat has their party on the sign…………?
No town hall meetings are being talked about ……….?
It should be required to list party affiliation
And Hussein Obama is not making the rounds.
Kinda like they are scared of this election.
I hope the Black Panthers show up to my polling precinct.
You can watch me on the news
Hahahaha
Ya, mean "no cake for thee, and all for me" Queen Michelle I is not the Queen. I thought that last royal tour, with all the trappings of a Royal visit and a Royal Courtiers in tow, to Spain to lunch with the Spanish Monarchs was part of the Royal Coranation. ;0)
Good Thing I watch more than MSM.
How true. Education is key …knowledge is Power. Kids today no longer read the "classics". They don't even know the difference between an unabridged classic and an abridged classic is. Knowledge of WORDS has become smaller & smaller resulting in many High School Grads only having 6th grade vocabularies. It is truly sad.
Barrack Obama,….
Rahm Emanual,….
David Axelrod,…….
Valery Jarrett,…….
Bill Ayers,…………
are we really going to allow these people,…….
to dismantle what was created on that day in Philadelphia,……??????
Compare the above with what it is like today now that it is controlled by Blacks. Is the outcome equal? You know it isn't. So wouldn't that suggest that the people are not equal? What is a community but a product of its population? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDxoTpdxBWE http://www.newsnet14.com/2010/03/24/philadelphia-...
Mayor Moon Landreau-father
Mayor [former Lt Governor] Mitch Landreau-son
Senator Mary Landreau-daughter
It's a good thing the ACLU wasn't around back than,………
or this United States of America thing,……..
would have never gotten off the ground.
What amazes me is that these men were able to create common agreements out of a true diversity of opinions.
you really should learn what equal means there zero,…..
the video you provide is the product of the Lib/Democrat/MSM,…….
policies that have defined and formulated what "equality" is in this country.
The had no permit to assemble or security deposit, nor did they have liability insurance.
There were no women, Vegans, transsexuals or Mexicans allowed to participate.
Bad, bad, bad Founding Fathers!
If we are all equal I can use the "say what" defense of Eddie Bernice Johnson as seen here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6s4qpmjJUE#t=06m0...
As liberals see them:
Wealthy, sexist, racist slave owners
who oppressed and exploited The People
and created a violent country responsible for all the ills around the entire world,
which can now be saved only by implementing collectivism
and a nanny-state controlled by a ruling elite
and by destroying every aspect and remnant of free enterprise,
personal responsibility,
and Constitutional freedoms.
The Founding Fathers should have provided universal health care,
free daycare, disbanded the military, required union membership,
given free abortions on demand,
banned the internal combustion engine (even though not invented yet),
and prevented the US from expanding beyond the original 13 colonies
and paid reparations to anyone and everyone who wanted then,
Yep, that's the liberal view of the Founding Fathers.
I rarely see either party on a campaign sign – in fact I can't think of any time I have. The sticker would be "Bush '04" not "Bush Republican '04" Some of this is practical reasons of space on the sign but I'm sure they have discovered it can only harm you and not help you. Both parties names are mud because the REAL power for some time has been wielded by CFR and Israel. Notice there is no discernible difference between the agenda at all. Open borders and war for Israel (and lots of money for Israel). And bigger government but that is just momentum at this point. NONE of them campaign on it but they all do it. The two parties exist at this point to fool the majority of dullards in this country that you have a choice.
Isn't an abridged classic a bridge controlled by a liberal troll?
"Here in FL, the State raises property taxes every year …maximum is 3%, minimum is about 2.6% …every year …it is down right out wrong. "
At least you don't have a state income tax, right? Here in Illinois, we get increases in property tax plus we're looking at a *** 33% to 50% *** increase in state income tax:
"[Governor] Quinn wants to raise the state income tax rate from 3 percent to 4 percent, a 33 percent increase. Last year, Quinn called for a 50 percent increase."

Of course it's presented as being "for the children" which is not really the underlying cause. Basically our legislature has been robbing the state employees pension fund for many years in order to pay for social entitlements. Now they have to find a way to fund the pension plan. So they're saying the tax increase is "for the children" rather than to pay for all the stupid stuff they've been doing for many years.
The explanation Ralph gave for your first race-baiting post also applies to this one. Don't you have an orphanage to burn or a sister to screw?
The 1 st video is a product of NOT teaching our children ……Thou shalt not steal.
I wonder, can you carry a concealed weapon in downtown Philly? If one of these thugs came at me or my family, I'd be exercising my 2nd amendment right.
How far decay comes in within a couple of hundred years. The decline has been exacerbated by the entitlement society. How sad that so many Americans do not feel safe to visit a city so rich with our history.
I know, it's all Bush's fault/
and previously held passports!!
Home School starts for us Tuesday. I am going to change my lessons a little and open school with this prayer.
not sure about "extended jury duty"…that would imply that they pass judgment…they should do nothing more than the will of We The People!!
Keep the faith SC I think that the real groundswell of unity in retaking our country back is still in coming. There seems to be an energy accumulating that cannot be overcome with leftarded hatred.
time to identify them with a sign makeover…if they are a dim let it be known!!
We can never know too much about these unbelievable men, and the more people do learn about them, the more power it takes away from the "ruling class".
It's still amazing how far we've drifted from their vision.
Ever been to Philly? Much like DC all this great patriotic stuff in the middle of a s*#t- h*le.
That was funny.
My cartoon mind envisions a Gay Pride Parade, marching through the streets of Philadelphia, right up the steps of Independence Hall………….
Exactly!
The same as Boston.
We are loosing our Heritage, and precious history and landmarks, to a race of mongrel invaders.
How true that is. Some 20 years ago we bought 40 acres of land with scrub brush and juniper trees scattered across it. We cut down one sickly looking tree to unobstruct our view of the evening sunset and our good neighbor later came by to let us know that we should be careful in the future. It takes a permit to cut down a tree on our own property and should we be turned in by another not-so-friendly neighbor, the fine is ugly. We were dumbfounded. That was a left-coast state in which we no longer reside.
Who not teaching whose children?
Matthews, Olbermann, Shultz, and Maddow would be deriding this assembly, asking 'where are the blacks, Hispanics, Gays.'
who paid for the CHEESE STEAKS???
Must have been Oregon. We got Junipers here. Lol
CL, losing, not loosing. Please consider those who may not know any better. loose = to release, lose = to not achieve victory or goal. Edit, or proof-read before posting. Thanks! (the loosing vs. losing spelling issue is my #1 internet pet peeve)
Thank you. I stand corrected. Sometimes my typing is not the best.
Lose? Loosing?
For a minute, you almost lost me………..
