Read Between the Lines: Murkowski Doesn’t Endorse Miller
by PubliusTonight, Sen. Murkowski conceded the “Republican Nomination” for the U.S. Senate. She did not endorse Joe Miller. She did not take questions at her press conference. Also, she did not concede the overall election.
Sources in Alaska confirm that her campaign is in talks with the Libertarian Party in Alaska. Big Government originally broke the story that the Executive Committee of the Libertarian Party voted to deny her their ballot slot. Big Government, however, has learned that some members of the Libertarian Party are discussing “options” with Sen. Murkowski. (Tells you everything you need to know about the Libertarian Party.)
The next 24-48 hours are critical. Sen. Murkowski is going away with her family. There is still time for the public voice it’s opinion.

A woman who won't concede.

This elite ruling class certainly has a sense of entitlement, and have no class, or grace. They are on the cusp of being served a collective comeuppance, and it is a bitter pill for them to swallow. Most folks learned in kindergarden that nobody likes a sore looser.

Murkowski running on the Libertarian Party ticket? Is this a joke?
Can anyone say Ross Perot?……… Nothing like trying to split the vote. This just show how politically corrupt, Murkowski, this career politician really is.
Why is Murkowski, in contemplating a run on the Libertarian Party coming as a surprise to anyone? That is the modus operandi, to maintain the status quo. Remember Arlen Spinchter? He was a Democrat, before he was a Republican, before he was a Democrat again.
If Senator Murkowski thought it would garner her ten extra votes by running on the Communist party ticket, she would do so in a heartbeat.
They have no honor. None of them.

This is why it is vital for everyone to recognize most politicans will do anything for absolute power. It is equally weighed on the right and the left. How is it even legal for her to switch parites an get ballot access with an election less than 3 months away?
I consider myself a libertarian, but I have no love for the Libertarian party. They put all of their focus on the issues that for some reason they think they will get votes from (pot, gay marriage, war, etc.) and don't even mention fiscal issues half the time. My local Libertarian party candidate's platform actually was in favor of subsidies for wind power. He was approved by the Texas Libertarian Party. That's how I knew I'd have to vote Republican until something changes. Hopefully, the Republicans change and I don't feel half sick to my stomach the next time I vote for one.
I don't see any reason it shouldn't be legal.

Look for the fawning profile about her unbelievable courage on behalf of all women, everywhere, in next Sunday's NYT Magazine. If she then calls for a mosque to be built on Gravina Island she will become #1 stateswoman of all time

If Murkowski refuses to back Miller, it might well be the final nail in the coffin of the party's RINO leadership, that has always told us conservatives to bow to the center and put pressure on our candidates (thanks, NRSC). I always thought supporting DeMint over McConnell for Senate leadership was sort of a Quixotic cause, but right now I'm definitely behind it.
You are right about that.
But when it comes to the elite ruling class, the only thing they care about when the chips are down, is protecting their perks and trappings of power and prestige.

Fortunately, I don't think anything will come of this. The Libertarian leadership in AK voted unanimously a few days ago not to offer Murkowski the candidacy, and while that decision could always be reversed, at least two of the five board members or whatever you call them are known to be sympathetic to the Tea Party. So while the party definitely deserves a few knocks for even contemplating this, I doubt we have anything to worry about.
This is a come to Jesus moment for the Libertarian Party.

Murkowski needs to get out of the way now that she's lost. Why do these people have to cling to power?

Consider the prospects. Assuming Miller wins in November (and there's no reason to think he won't), we'll have him, Mike Lee, probably David Vitter, Pat Toomey, Marco Rubio, and Rand Paul to go with DeMint, Coburn, and others in the Senate GOP. While not exactly libertarian, it's easily the most conservative group we've had in a while, and that should make a difference. It's not even out of the question that we could see a challenge to McConnell's leadership.

My interpretation is simple. It symbolizes this Administration. He can't go forward, his ego won't allow him to go back, he has his hands full, and he doesn't have a clue as to what he should do.

Yeah, I say, let's do everything we all agree on. A constructive truce where we get the economics done and leave the social for later. Then we can all rip each other's hearts out about gay marriage and marijuana. At least there will still be an America to be ravaged by social evils if we get the economic issues in order.

This woman should admit defeat and go away gracefully. No one is guaranteed a life-time position and most have been there too damn long. Everyone holding a seat in Congress should know they are being watched and We, the People will act accordingly. I'm not sure about Publius, but I might suggest that libertarians are too independent to allow a little thing like their party having turned her down to stop them from endorsing her. However, I doubt more than a handful of them will, and those will be more a minor curiosity than a real threat to Wilson.

Criminal act after criminal act and they still get or come close to reelection. Look how close William Jefferson came to reelection even after around $100,00 in "cold cash" was found in his freezer.

A Libertarian Party Rep already stated that they aren't confident that she'll defend free market principles. In fact, they're not thrilled with her at all. Something's up folks. Although, she doesn't appear threatening in terms of a voter following, who knows what may be up 'their' sleeves.
