Prager: Black Murders Eight Whites; Media Blames Whites

The title of this column seems unbelievable, but it is in fact what happened in America this past week. And almost no one has noticed.
After 50 years of being inundated with stories of white racism, and being taught in college that in this white-dominated society, only a white can be a racist, the American public has been properly brainwashed into accepting the otherwise incredible: A black man murdered eight white people at his place of work because they were white, and the media story is about the murderer’s alleged experiences of racism.
Here’s the Associated Press Report from Aug. 7, four days after the murders. It was reprinted in The Washington Post and throughout America:
To those closest to him, Omar Thornton was caring, quiet and soft-spoken … But underneath, Thornton seethed with a sense of racial injustice for years that culminated in a shooting rampage Tuesday in which the Connecticut man killed eight and wounded two others at his job at Hartford Distributors in Manchester before killing himself.
‘I know what pushed him over the edge was all the racial stuff that was happening at work,’ said his girlfriend, Kristi Hannah.
‘He always felt like he was being discriminated (against) because he was black,’ said Jessica Anne Brocuglio, his former girlfriend. ‘Basically they wouldn’t give him pay raises. He never felt like they accepted him as a hard working person.’
‘Thornton changed jobs a few times because he was not getting raises, Brocuglio said.
The New York Times Aug. 3 headline read: “Troubles Preceded Connecticut Workplace Killing,” and in the second paragraph, the Times reported:
“He might also have had cause to be angry: he had complained to his girlfriend of being racially harassed at work, the woman’s mother said, and lamented that his grievances had gone unaddressed.”
On Aug. 7, 2010, The Washington Post headline read, “Beer warehouse shooter long complained of racism.”
Of course, Thornton was fired for stealing beer, and there was video proof of him doing so. But this fact — the one indisputable and most pertinent pre-murder fact — got lost within the larger context of Thornton’s claims of being a victim of whites.

If his HR records were able to be made public, they would demonstrate the facts that…
a. He was a good or lousy employee
b. Any pay raises and/or promotions he received were a function of his performance
c. Any pay raises he received or did not receive were equal to or better with those who were white having the same performance record.

No reports of his claims of being harrassed provided to the union he belonged to. He shot the union representative that was in the meeting as his supporter. He was caught red-handed stealing from his employer and was terminated for cause. His union representative couldn't help him because the evidence was conclusive. This is a thief turned nut. One focused on the good-hearted and generous people who own this business.
One focused on the apparent premeditation of the alleged gunman, who came loaded for bear.

One, the only one mentioned here, focused on the perpetrator's allegations. The Times came to no conclusion. Nor did the Times quote anyone saying that, even if true, it would have excused his actions.
All in all, it was pretty balanced coverage. But don't let that get in the way of your white victimization rant. It's really the most attractive part of your movement.

I read an article on this where the girlfriend went on about all these racist incidents he had to deal with at work like having a noose hung in his locker or something, and he had taken pictures of it all with his cell phone, but of course the cracker union didn't care. Funny thing though, she's just not sure where those photos disappeared to. Whoops?

Imagine it was a white guy (caught for stealing) who did the same thing and blamed it on being taunted as a cracker all the time by primarily black employees. Did anyone notice that this was a union operation. It seems to mostly happen at union operations, ie post office, auto plants etc. If he was harassed, there are ways of documenting and so forth. Nothing justifies this type of murder, you can always walk away.

I would like to see a story that truly investigates whether ANY of his former employers found his work ethic to be superior or inferior to the average, whether he had also claimed "racism" after leaving those jobs as well, and whether he consulted the myriad organizations that help prosecute racism claims. As for the victims, I would like to see research on whether they truly lived their lives as racists, or if they actually treated their fellow man as equals. Lastly, I would like to see articles interviewing other people of color AT THE SAME LOCATION. Only then can I tell if his claims were skewed by personality failure.

This man is an extreme example of the world that has been conspicuously shaped in America.
He 'felt' there was racism. He was one of few blacks where he worked. He felt different. It remains to be seen whether the things he said took place were real or not. But, frankly it doesn't matter.
In a world in which black children are taught to be leery of white people and to be skeptical of the motives of things that don't go the way they want them to; certainly blaming things on racism is the result.
The problem of 'racism' in America is multi-faceted.
And, frankly, until some REAL leaders in the Black Community step up and say that problems need to be looked at through the racist lens as a last resort, after all other avenues have been thoroughly explored, we will see no change.

Yesterday in a Charlie Rangel thread I posted a story about the last time I visited his lovely district of Harlem, I'll relate it here as it's also appropriate. I was walking by myself about 5 blocks to the 125th St train station. Along the way, I counted four times in which groups of loiterers whom I passed called me cracker or whitey. I didn't acknowledge them, just held my head high and kept on walking. When I finally got onto the train, the last guy who got on looked around the train car and said, "Why the f*ck are all these white people on the train?" This was waaaaay back in 2009, and our post-racial president hadn't but a few months in office, maybe Harlem has "changed" since, but I wouldn't count on it.
What I find particularly amusing about the whole incident, is that in the mecca of tolerance, NYC, I'd wager the average black person hasn't had to deal with any such incident in decades at least, while any white guy walking alone through Harlem will assuredly be subject to blatant, overt racism. And I'm sure as they're spitting their vile towards me, they're just seething with rage towards the "racist" white guy who dare quietly walk through "their" neighborhood.
Yeah, funny how that helps when the subject of the blog post is a New York Times story.
Clearly, none of the lemmings here actually read before they form opinions. They just jump in line behind whichever guy has the burning cross.

So, the poor guy thought he was discriminated against because of his race and that makes what he did less than abhorrent. OK let's follow that logic, for the past 40 years white males have been discriminated against, legally, by affirmative action and quotas. That fact makes it understandable or acceptable for every white guy who didn't get the job or promotion they deserved because it had to go to a minority to go out and shoot people??? I believe we will start to see more of this type of behavior because we have raised a generation of people who don't know anything about competition, have no aversion to taking what they want whether they have to steal it or not and they don't know how to cope with failure because we have not allowed them to experience reality. We have little league games but they don't keep score so everyone wins (or no one loses), tests in school are corrected in purple because red might damage a kids self-esteem, sports leagues give every kid a trophy so they don't feel left out. The end result of all this garbage is that people today have no clue what it takes to succeed, they have not learned the valuable lessons taught by loosing, and they can't handle adversity. We are teaching kids they don't have to try they just have to show up and they are entitled to the prize. I believe this is what happened here, Omar showed up but didn't get lavished with the praise and adulation he thought he deserved and he couldn't handle it. God help us.

I can't buy into affirmative action anymore. I've seen it a thousand and one times, and am still not impressed with the results. One person shouldn't need 100 to step back so he/she can somehow get an undeserving shot.
