When Peter Schweizer uncovered evidence of insider trading by Republican chairman of the House Financial Services Committee Spencer Bachus (R-AL), and 60 Minutes reported on it, I was the first person to call for Rep. Bachus to resign. That was November 14, 2011. Now, with news that the Office...

It was the perfect plan, They were going to teach this actor guy a lesson. Unfortunately for PATCO, The man in the crappy brown suit taught the lessons of the 1980s. It was the slanted press coverage of this event that turned me against them(The Mainstream Press) in 1981 when I was very young.
Unions should have no sway with the government.
Rarely can it be said that unions do anything that will benefit the workers, that is needed.
The next President will have to take on and neuter the SEIU,or they will destroy us.
Their strike put our country in danger…..Reagan did the only thing he could do! Sure do wish we had a stand up President now…it's been so long I almost don't remember what it feels like to trust a politician….
Reagan called their bluff………and clipped their wings.
August 5th:
-1864, during the Civil War, Union Adm. David G. Farragut is said to have ordered, "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" as he led his fleet to victory in the Battle of Mobile Bay, Ala.
-1884, the cornerstone for the Statue of Liberty was laid on Bedloe's Island in New York.
- 1914, the first automatic traffic lights were installed, at the intersection of East 105th Street and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland.
- 1921, a major league baseball game was broadcast for the first time, as Pittsburgh radio station KDKA transmitted the play-by-play of a contest between the Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates at Forbes Field.
- 1953, "Operation Big Switch" got under way, as Korean War POWs were exchanged at Panmunjom.
- 1960, the African nation of Upper Volta (present-day Burkina Faso) attained independence from France.
- 1962, actress Marilyn Monroe, 36, was found dead in her Los Angeles home; her death was ruled a probable suicide from an overdose of sleeping pills.
Here in Tucson, the bus drivers just went on strike stranding the people and keeping them from their jobs and daily routines. Nine years ago they struck, also. For ten days. Unions had their place in America's history to promote safer work places and more reasonable compensation. Now they appear to be just another power-hungry organization out to extort whatever they can from the businesses that offer the consumers goods and services. One point that has been made by my passengers is that, if the union were to ask for less in dues, the drivers would have more. And then we laugh. Because unions will never do that. I am a cabbie here so I am making good money from this strike. Still I wish it were over. Raul Grijalva probably thinks it is a good idea.
A true Patriot and Leader!
………………."More leaders like that would be a start."
The key word is Leaders !
……………….Any ! leaders like that would be a start."
Rino's and appeasers need not apply
Victor Davis Hanson is a good start
<sigh> we need a Reagan now…. to undo the harm that's been done to our beautiful country. we need people with the leadership abilities, intelligence, and strength as Reagan had to help us restore our land, bring back our confidence, competence, and most importantly bring us all, as one people, together united.
Reagan will always remain a hero in my eyes….They don't make many men like him,
let alone politicians….The pols today are wimps, appeasers, and down right corrupt…
I don't care if they say the right words….I want the right actions from these parasites..
I really don't trust that any of them will do what needs to be done, most will do what
they think will get them re-elected….We need term limits or easier ways to get rid of
those that go against the will of their constituents…..
Say when is talkzalot getting banned:
""All that is necessary for the genocide of Whites is for Whites to accept the GOP nonsense about how race doesn't matter and color-blindness and all that other BS. NO OTHER RACE buys in to this. Why do you think you see organizations for EVERY RACE other than Whites? Better wake up. If Israel can conduct ethnic cleansing using US tax dollars why can we not ethnically cleanse the US to make it a White country?"
He is a racist asshole and his posting privileges need to be revoked.
http://www.breitbart.tv/shabazz-white-america-has...
Should be PATCO (not PACTO)
*sigh* for a true leader. . .
Our GOP leadership today is amoeba-like: Stimulus. Response. And the ones who are truly capable of leading the GOP are shunned as outsiders and denounced as idiots by the Media, thus jerking the strings of the frightened Republican tenured gravy train.
The GOP doesn't know how to fight, and when they DO get into leadership, they don't know how to exploit it for better purposes. I'm looking at you, Newt Gingrich. You had your chance but went whoring after politics instead of leadership.
So Publius, did you use Reagan on the Open Thread just to be CRUEL, to rub our nose in the pile-o-crap
the Senate left on the floor last night? While we dream of FIRING them ALL, the UNIONS got their bailout.
Last night the democrat Senate, with the aid of 2 republican Senators from Maine passed a $10 BILLION
effin bailout for the teachers UNIONS. Are the teachers so naive to believe this money will be there for
their retirement? This is merely another oRegime STASH, to be used in 2011 for o's reelection campaign.
The US Treasury is being PLUNDERED by the RULING CLASS, for the benefit of the Democrat Party as
they set themselves to RULE the USA for the next fifty years. While we SIT on OUR collective ASSES
and watch, ………….HEY ……..It's ONLY money…………RIGHT………..Right……….right………r i g h t ….. ?:-D
WAKE UP AMERICA !
.
Reagan had the stones needed to deal with problems like unions. Today, besides Chris Christie in NJ, I don't know anyone that is really willing and has the fortitude to stand up to the unions.
Back when Reagan was running for President in 1980, I was still in high school in a city school system. I wasn't old enough to vote yet at 16 but we were getting the Leftist view of politics shoved down our throats. So, in the farce of a school mock election, I went for the Independent Anderson since all I was taught by the teachers was that Reagan was some evil SOB and knew in my heart that the country couldn't handle another term of Carter. Reagan lost in the school's mock election of course and the teacher's at my school were thrilled over that and hosted a big school party to celebrate the result. They also sent out mailings to all the parents "explaining" the results of the mock election and how important it was for the parents then to "support the kids and vote Democrat" as well.
It wasn't until the air traffic controller's strike that I took a liking to Ronald Reagan. Being raised in a non-union household and seeing what the unions were doing to the city I lived in, I always thought the unions lived past their usefulness. Seeing politician after politician bowing down to these unions in my city really bothered me and when Reagan stood up and fired the illegally striking air traffic controllers, I literally cheered. Finally a politician that was standing up to the unions.
My admiration of Reagan grew as I grew older and shook off the indoctrination training I got in the city school I went to. The more I learned about him and the vision he had for the United States, the more I liked him.
Daddy………………….they're plugging the hole today. Unfortunately it's not the one under your upper lip.
"Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty."
~Ronald Reagan
We're plenty awake. Obama is giggling like a school girl at the thought of our dismay and outrage. It feeds his sense of place and purpose to see us rail at the unfairness, his galling disregard for the law, and his outright disdain for anyone who is not in his mirror.
It's revenge. It's Black Liberation Theology. Narcissism. It's Communism. Call it what you will, this is how the corrupt use power: they use it to the utmost.
Yeah really………….Put Air Traffic Controllers Out! lol
Pacto is a waterless toilet for use anywhere…………………..no really, i'm serious.
http://www.pactotoilet.com/
Wish someone would stand up to the federal workers union and fire the lot of them…..EVERY bureaucrat pack your little brown box and get off my property, stop stealing my money, and leave my liberty at the front desk before you leave…….GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH Save money fire bureaucrats, perferribly out of a cannon…..
PULL……BANG BANG
Ronald Reagan was a former president of the Screen Actor Guild (SAG) and , if I not mistaken, he also held that position longer than anyone else. By all accounts, he was a skilled and persuasive negotiator who pioneered many benefits that became the standard for other unions.
Being a former union leader gave Mr. Reagan the credibility to negotiate with PATCO and, when push came to shive, to cut them loose.
This needs to happen to ALL public sector unions. Won't accept the pay and benefits that we can afford? Going to strike? YOUR FIRED!
"One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine." – Ronald Reagan
You have hit the proverbial nail on the HEAD ! It is Black Liberation Theology at its worse ! This is PRECISELY why he has the 95% suport among blacks who STILL refuse to understand that ObamaPOS is ENSLAVING them. A truly ignorant culture and race…..easily led by race baiting leaders like Sharpton et. al.
I was an air traffic controller stationed at Fort Rucker Alabama when Reagan faced down PATCO, led by that insufferable idiot Robert Poli. Many of us felt that Reagan would never hold true to his word as the threatened strike would indeed incorporate a very large percentage of the rank and file air traffic controllers nationwide. Boy were we wrong and in the end, I never again saw many of my good friends who were immediately deployed to man positions at air traffic control facilities across the country. The strike proved for many to be a launching point for very successful careers in the civilian air traffic control sector. I miss President Reagan.
A truly ignorant culture and race….
No, I will not go so far as you. As far as I can see, the Republican party has little more to recommend itself and there are quite a few folks still enslaved to stupid political pet tricks, that perhaps your broad brush should be widened a bit more to include "most Americans."
At the time of the PATCO strike I was commuting between NYC and Detroit. When President Reagan fired the stupid bastards I will never foget the tarmac waiting times at La Guardia…an average of three hours waiting in the aircraft line for a 1 hour and 20 minute return flight. In first class we discussed and often applauded this wonderful man for his guts and putting the country and its citizenry first ABOVE the special interest UNIONS ! We enjoyed our cocktails and simply waited with patience.
We miss you, President Reagan ! You were and still ARE an inspiration for many of us. Our current breed of politicians are nothing more than scum sucking bottom feeders who will very soon be relieved of their "duties".
Dyslexics of the world, UNTIE!
While Mooshell and 40 of her closest friends take Air Force 2 to Spain, to stay at a 5 star Hotel, the Hotel Villa Padierna in Marbella, where rooms go for $2500 a night and she and her entourage are occupying 60 to 70 of them on our fukn dime. Absolutely disgusting. While her blameitonbush husband tells the rest of us working stiffs that we have to make "sacrifices", so our country can get "back on it's feet".
It's nice to see president asshat and his family are "cutting back" in "hard times"
The audacity of these people is appalling and disgusting.
There really should be a revolution in this country. I think i'm "all in"………
Oh yeah, i forgot to mention the 70 secret service agents that went along to "protect her" while she's on her taxpayer financed spanish shopping spree.
L O L,……YHVH………..now that was a nice giggle, YEA HAAAAAA………thanks!
Fired out of a cannon…….mm mm mm………………Always good to start the day with a laugh.
.
Too bad Bush folded immediately when the union of banks hinted they might go on "strike" and actually gave them unprecedented amounts of tax money.
I remember how totally pissed all the Dems and Libs were,…..
when Reagon did what had to be done for the sake of the country.,………….
In 1948 the railroads were the #1 form of transportation in the U.S.,………..
what the Dems don't remember is that Truman was about to do a similar thing,………
to the R.R. workers who also went on strike at the expense of the American economy..
Reagan undetstood free market capitalism. The solution is so simple. Less government and less union control. Why can't the politicians see that the jobs have left this country. Take a drive through this country and see how small towns are literally dying. We need to bring these jobs back, Incentives for business's to relocate back. The role of government should be to facilitate business. If we get away from "corporatism" and level the playing field then we can reverse this process. Democrats can not understand this concept. The unions did bring us the forty hour work week, but that was long ago. Now days, a union job means drop your family and clock in for back to back 12 shifts and be on site in another state with less than 24 hour notice or you will be replaced. THIS IS FACT, I SEE IT EVERY DAY!
wont he just come back under another label,…..he probably is Randy,…..remember him.????
Ahem….you are surprised ? The WOOKIE is just another urban welfare rat always spending the money of taxpayers and never their own…. Revolution is on its way for sure. It's called the November 2010 and 2012 elections. The Obama legacy will be one of fraud, corruption and sheer citizenry revulsion. Pretty much like that stupid peanut farmer….. Ol' what's his name….
The day of the strike I flew from Fort Lauderdale to Palomar, CA with a fuel stop in Austin TX. Delays? 0. The following day I went back to Fort Lauderdale with a fuel stop in New Orleans. Delays? 0. I admired Mr. Reagan greatly, and although the snakepit of DC and his yet-to-be-seen illness crippled him, he brooked no argument from those he deemed public servants and did the right thing. The usurper currently residing in the White House couldn't shine Mr. Reagan's shoes.
What's the good of being the Elite if you can't steal others wallets and kick them in the teeth.
Block him by IP. This is not difficult.
Yes he can use multiple IP's but he can't have that many available to him and even so after a while that will run out.
It would also help I think if more of us called him on his disgusting racist beliefs.
I am starting to get very tired of this, I like this forum but every time I turn around there is some jerk calling for the execution of the president, or racially cleansing the US…
Not really……………just immensely pissed off.
what I fear most, is what cornpone pointed out above, about them stealing so much money to buy the next election. It literally scares the hell out of me.
The great Reagan!
The Republicans for the most part are a bunch of spineless worthless political hacks out to get their share of the graft and don't give two craps for the Constitution or the people of this country.
They are just not as bad as the Democrats are and they are all we have.
And you are correct, the sheeple are everywhere, TRS that was kind of an ignorant thing to say.
I didn't understand it at the time, but I one hundred percent understand why that was the best move he did. Unfortunately, government union membership has proliferated like cockroaches since. Time to do it again.
And you don't think that president Ben Dover is giving away unprecedented amounts of tax money?
When it comes to pissing away taxpayers money Bush was a piker compared to B. Hussein Zero.
"the unions – why do you wish to destroy it?" Unions are like parasites feeding off of others until they kill the host!
Chris Christie learned the proper lessons from this. Ahnuld did not.
I am sorry you had to have the leftist agenda shoved down your throats as a kid.
I thank God every day for where I live and grow up. When Reagan was running against Mondale in '84 I was only 8 years old and my elementary school held a mock election. Reagan destroyed Mondale and even though I had no idea why yet I could just feel the pride of everyone in the school.
I long for the day we get a real American President in the White House……where men were men and Communists were reviled. Your legacy lives on Renaldo Magnus!!!
Ahh The Gipper ! He was a true leader that had it all, courage, presence, honesty and a sense of responsibility to this nation.
I will never forget what he said when that news person asked him about Israel just bombing Iraq's nuclear reactor that was under construction. Reagan responded in his usual calm demeanor, " Well, boys will be boys."
I wish we had a Reagan now !!!!
I miss the Gipper !
Unions, in their present incarnations do nothing except provide cover for bottomfeeding slackers who could not cut it in the regular work force.
Now in order to perpetuate their power, they use confiscated funds of their members to advance a losing agenda through massive political lobbying and donations to the dregs of politics. The commie-marxists currently in charge (till November) view the unions as nothing more than "useful idiots" to do the dirty work of their masters. Should they become no longer useful, the unions will be tossed under the bus the same way that anyone else who has lost favor with the Regime.
Reagan was the best, fairest, most altruistic President in my lifetime. Bring back Reaganomics to save America!
Unions started out as support for workers; to prevent them from being overworked and underpaid by employers.
Now Unions are simply an arm of the Democrat Progressive Party with socialized idealogy.
Unions, yesterday, met with Obama to pledge many Millions of Dollars to $upport Democrats' for the next 90 days! Do their Union members agree?
It's time for Unions to be dismantled, to preserve freedom in America. Their member's dues are being spent on politics that the member's don't believe in.
President Ben Dover is sending ambassador John Roos and a bunch of delegates over to Japan to apologize for dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. I guess now it was an accident, and we really didn't mean it. Sorry Japan, no hard feelings. We'll try to do better than the $45 Billion trade deficit last year though. Honest.
Ahhhh OMG I love Reagan he's sooo wonderful! He made wall street the greedy, unregulated mess that it was when it basically destroyed our economy in 2008, but we still love you reagan. You ended the cold war! Nevermind that the USSR was collapsing anyway because of policies set in place since Truman, and nevermind that Carter bringing up human rights issues in the USSR had more of an effect than your made up start wars defense system that wasted billions of taxpayer dollars. Also, we love that you were pro amnesty for illegal aliens.. .Oh wait, no we don't like that at all. Nevermind. But you're still great!
Yea I assume you feel that way because thats what youve been told to feel. Unions are what made this country so great. Unions are the reason people in the 1960s could afford to feed a family with only the father working at a factory. Keep talking about things you don't understand. You fit in really well on this site!
When you compare Reagan to any other wimpy hand wringing liberal type or appeasing RINO, the difference is SO striking, it practically floors you.
I'm glad I was around to have seen and experienced, a prototype leader not a politician.
No need to apologize. I lived in the City of Pittsburgh at the time and the area was and still is heavily mired in the union mentality. The city schools were an adventure into the bizarre compared to any of the neighboring suburban schools at the time. Today, all the schools in the area are an adventure into the bizarre.
And don't forget, he liked to talk about the Civil War…………………………………………..and horses.
You're right though, he was great too……….
It really is a shame how Newt got derailed and took the easy path, in a vein attempt to garner acceptence by the elite ruling class, a place he will never quite be completely welcomed.
Now, he's stuck in political "no mans land", distrusted by Conservatives and seen only as a sometimes useful tool by the hard left.
Unfortunately, the GOP wants to give us another Progressive Republican like McCain. The fix is already in….
All's not lost, but the Teaparty needs to take over the GOP, and not let the GOP take over the Teaparty.
Unions like SEIU need to be taken down. With the constant visits to the White House, the thuggary, their influence in all political aspects, THEY have become enemy number 1. (IMHO)
Wanna protect the common worker from the evil corporate giant? Swell. Go right ahaead.
But when these loser/thugs start pushing for policy change then it's time for these jokers to go home.
If you knew me you would understand just how little you truly know! But like all progressives you just attack without any information or understanding of the issues!
Reagan will always be an enemy to weenies such as yourself because he promoted ideas that are as alien to liberals as mirrors are to Nancy Pelosi.
Your patheitc attempt at sarcasm falls flat. Quit the Redbull and go back to media mutters you moron.
Did Nancy's astrologer tell him he needed to fire the controllers?
So Reagan had to fire the controllers for breaking the law by striking, but it was okay for him to break the law with his Iran-Contra mess? I want to make sure I have my wingnut logic right, LOL!
Progressives = http://i40.tinypic.com/14alx88.jpg
No he was just selfish. He used all the union help he could get for his shitty acting career, then stabbed the unions in the back when he no longer needed them.
http://i50.tinypic.com/1zf3om.jpg
http://i50.tinypic.com/1zf3om.jpg
Until then, the Kremlin was trying to figure him out. They thought he was a possible push-over.
When he threatened to fire the controllers, the US watchers in the Kremlin thought it was a bluff.
When Reagan fired them, their eyes bugged out, they passed rolls of nickels, and began furiously reevaluating him.
They knew from that point forward that if he had the guts and political will to take such a potentially politically unpopular action domestically, that they were up against a tough hombre who wouldn't hesitate to take tough action internationally.
I'm sure the same US watchers in the Kremlin these days are thanking their lucky stars that Reagan's antithesis is now holding the levers of our government.
Can someone explain why forced membership in unions in order to secure a job is Constitutional?
Don't forget that Carter is the reason that we have the current problems in the Middle East. Yeah, we love Carter – he outed CIA agents and got them killed, interest rates and unemployment rates went through the roof, gas lines, people walking away from their houses; yeah Carter was great!
Great point; I was about to say much the same thing. Real leaders say what they mean and mean what they say, and are consistent in an out of the public eye.
Then again, he does have a point: Bush was never, ever, EVER a Conservative. Neither was his father before him. A great deal of the problems that we face today are because of the incredible level of control that George HW Bush's "blue blood" wing has had on the GOP. Ronald Reagan was never accepted by the elitist blue bloods in the GOP, and they foisted George HW on him, which led eventually to the Clinton presidency, then the George W presidency.
I'm no fan of any president who has been elected since Ronald Reagan left office. They have all been statists, not one Conservative. In eight years Ronald Reagan did more for our country than all Presidents combined had done in the previous 50, and in the 22 years since we have only experienced a decline. In 2012, it'll finally be time again for the first truly conservative President since the 1980s.
Saying Carter is the reason we have the current problems in the Middle East is pathetically ignorant. Try reading a history book. Yea, blame Carter for Israel Palestine that started long before him, blame him for Iran, even though the US government set up a puppet "shah" long before Carter and the people of Iran revolted against him. Blame him for Iraq, even though your boy Reagan supplied Saddam with the same weapons we attacked him for having. I hope you're just a street vendor in DC and don't have a job where you are responsible for anything serious.
Hi Larry,
Thanks for commenting! Please tell me what ideas he promoted that were good? Besides nuclear arms reduction and amnesty for aliens.
And your comment about mirrors and Pelosi…? Really…. Thats you're best diss? Reagan would be disappointed in your lack of creativity.
"Guts and political will" = he believed he was chosen by G-d to take down the USSR. You all love your G-d chosen politicians don't you. Him and W!
Hey, You that sucksmorethanbreitbart……don't ever, i mean ever, compare the National Hemorrhoid to the magnificence of Reagan. Carter = malfeasence, Carter = gutless, Carter = Poor habitat for Welfare Bums. Reagan knew that if the Soviets treid to keep up with the United States militarily, it would bankrupt them, (Socialists/CommiePigs like spending….'member?) Crawl back under Pelosi's skirt and grab some 'o' dat Botox residue…mope!
OOOuuueee, looky what I found this morning………USDA has launched a new blog where the AGENCY
"WILL SHARE" stories and INFORMATION (propaganda) on a wide array of topics. Sainted Shirley?
Be sure to log in so the Gov't can find you for an AUDIT if your comments appear to be conservative.
Do ya'll think maybe we're getting under the oRegimes skin, posting all this USDA info here at Big Gov't?
Perhaps soon we will ALL be like BECK, living with a target on our backs, mm mm mm…………..
THE RULING PARTY CAN K M A !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
.
I remember how much my parents disliked Reagan, mostly my mom, she would turn off the TV and say she couldn't even stand to listen to him. I oddly enough did not mind listening to him, but having been brought up in a liberal state like WI and having a Union dad and a Liberal mom I never thought I would grow up to be a conservative. The only one in my family to this day.
I wonder if Paul Ryan would be a good Reagan replacement. He's from WI of all places, but he seems to understand finance pretty well. He's got that good looking charm like Reagan had too. Got to love them dark Irish.
And yet, despite press hostility, the public supported Reagan on the PATCO issue. Phil Donahue was lamenting this on one of his old shows. PATCO was the straw the broke the camel's back when it came to public attitudes towards unions. There were over 200 different strikes during Carter's presidency, and people simply had enough of that foolishness.
I thought was interesting…
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynewspoint/ynewspoint_ts3...
"Sixty-five years after dropping an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, and killing more than 140,000 people, the United States will send its first ever delegation to a ceremony commemorating the attack.
On Friday, U.S. Ambassador John Roos will join representatives from 75 countries at the Hiroshima event, but he is not expected to speak. World War II allies France and Britain will also send delegations to the ceremony for the first time."
Earlier this morning I was reading about The Palawan Massacre. You know…That's when the Japanese herded 150 American POW's into a covered trench, poured gasoline on them and struck a match. There is a memorial at that site. I wonder if Japan ever sends delegates to that memorial.
Sure pal. You keep holding onto reagans nuts and swinging!
Your boy reagan was by far the worst president since Hoover. Nixon was 10 times better. I find it laughable how many right wing dbags like yourself are obsessed with reagan yet have no idea how he impacted this country and how his policies, ESPECIALLY HIS ECONOMIC POLICIES turned this country into what it is today. Try learning about history from someone other than glenn beck or ann coulter.
You are not a very good troll.
Go back to troll school.
Don't bother with this ass-pimple….
Last year those SEIU morons were striking here in Houston… It was the janitors claiming they don't get enough money and benefits (LOTS of them illegal, who would have guessed??). So those idiots go picket @ a MAJOR intersection holding up traffic for thousands of people who have nothing to do with what they may or may not make.
What a JOKE. SEIU / AFL-CIO, all of em are a bunch of thugs and are trash. The time when unions were needed has long since passed. They all want Socialism and I am tired of it.
Sure they will. About the same time they apologize for the rape of Nanking and the Bataan Death March.
Doug I pray such a man will be elected. My grandfather did not fight in WW2 for socialized healthcare that would rather see him kick the bucket than live on a little longer…
Time for a revolution @ the polls in November. It IS up to us.. The left will be casting more bogus votes than they ever have in history, we must be prepared.
If you were any dumber, you'd be TarHeels 78…..LOL!
Paul Ryan…..Honest, uncorrupted, patriotic, likable, intelligent, oh did I mention uncorruptable?
Sounds like Ronald Reagan…
Good call HollyLamb..
What the heck does your comment have to do with Reagan and the Air Traffic Controllers? Everything you comment on is about race, what did you do in your past that gives you such a guilty conscience? For someone who claims to be a Conservative you seem to want to limit free speech for some who has a different viewpoint than yours. Either allow others their views or stop bitching about them, you are not in charge of the world. GET OVER YOURSELF.
Newt was wrong but Bill Clinton was right?
I have no idea how those two RINO's keep getting re-elected, it has to be the DemocRATs that vote them in, all the Republican I talk to do not vote for either of those ugly women, they are an embarrassment to the good people of Maine.
I'm from a family of dyed-in-the-wool Democrats. My mom even worked for HUD during the Great Society years. My first vote in 1980 was for Anderson. I wept when Reagan won because I thought the Apocalypse was upon us. By the time I graduated from college in 1984, I was a full-fledged conservative. When I told my dad I voted for Reagan, he reacted as if I'd told him I was hooked on heroin: "Where did I go wrong?"
Reagan became a Republican when he saw that unions in general were the tools of socialism and communism.
And the government did more than its share to regulate the RRs into oblivion. I bet we have the Teamsters to thank for that, too, as which industry benefited from the RRs' demise? Trucking. You betcha!
Ahnuld actually knew Reagan personally, held out Reagan as his hero, and learned nothing. Christie didn't meet Ronnie but learned well.
Camp David accords, anyone? DUH.
LOL! Exactly!
Did Michelle and her bevy of personal servants tell Obooby to bow to our enemies?
Ryan seems like a more stolid, somber version of Ronnie, who had a great sense of humor. But that's OK in my book, as long as he has Reagan's spine of steel.
Yea I could see the republican smear headlines now if he did what Reagen did
"Obama socializes airlines! All flights to Kenya soon to be free"
