They wouldn't DARE try to introduce legislation against the free will of the people after the STUNNING VICTORY last night with the Missouri passage of Prop C. The tsunami has erupted against the Obama Marxists and Communists. Missouri defeated Obamacare 73% to 22% effectively creating a state law banning the legislation. What a great surprise and we all applaud the "SHOW ME STATE" for the courage of their convictions.
Now…for the rest of the states…. AHEM ! (Any ballz ?)

They have a majority in the House, a Utopian in the White House and a Lame Duck session of Congress coming up where, most likely, a whole bunch of Dems are going to KNOW they're leaving soon. I wouldn't put anything past them at this point.

Progressivism is just another form of statism. It is evil. It requires insect mentality to make it work. I can't speak for others, but I'm not going to be a "bee". If the people really want government controlled everything, or ANYTHING not in the Constitution, then amend the Constitution. The bloated monstrosity that calls itself our federal government has been given a sign, thanks to the good folks in Missouri. Now let's just hope they're smart enough to follow it.
God forbid that Obama is re-elected in 2012. If he is, all bets are off. this tyrant will go full bore to inject the full marxist agenda.Never underestimate the stupidity of that 53%.
Until Rush & Beck clearly point out the agenda of the Left. They don't pull their punches and now the Left wants to restrict more freedoms. I thought Carter was bad, but our current crop of idiots in charge need to have their wings clipped. They have moved us from Free to Serfs in 18 months. They have ignored the laws and selectively enforce or banish laws that are not part of their pro union, anti business attitudes.
Now the SEC no longer has to report to the people via the Freedom of Information Act, GM has designed a $40k+ Turkey called the Volt (not bad for a $12k car that can only go 40 miles!), they did not allow Bond Holders to get their fair share but gave it to the unions, then passed a $1 trillion stimulus that only helps their buddies.
This is not good.
Unfortunately, the state law will be trumped by federal law through the 14th amendment. The Feds are just screwy enough to argue that "Equal Protection" under the law requires ALL states to abide by it. Now, don't get me wrong, the vote is a shot across the bow of the law, and will lend some weight to the argument that the commerce clause does NOT give the Federal government the right to force people to purchase a good or service against their will.
The Supreme Court will be the deciding factor, and given the current roster of Judges, I suspect that we'll win a 5-4 decision against the Obamacare debacle.
The dems/progressives/liberals are on the wrong side of history.

Trumping a state law and enforcing that play are two entirely different things. The Feds can sue everyone in sight but guess what? We will do as we please anyway. There's an appropriate two word phrase that comes to mind.
If they even attempt this, at this time, there will surely be rioting in the streets…martial law or not…Obama had better step very carefully into this kind of restriction! He obviously has not been paying attention to the MAJORITY of Americans…this is one area that he will FAIL!
Very astute point that many fail to see or understand. It is quite true that the DOJ literally has NO ENORCEMENT policies when it comes to federal legislation. They may withold federal funds and other pitiful threats but they cannot enforce the provisions.

I will give you your point and it is an accurate one. Having said that the BIG difference in what Henry Hudson initially ruled on and the Missouri tsunami of Prop C is that Prop C IS the voice of the electorate in a state wide referendum AGAINST Obamacare. Obama and his revolting minions have no fear of state judiciaries but they TREMBLE when the electorate trumps their idealogy by a WHOPPING 73% to 25%.
There is NO WAY for the MSM to spin this…. Can't wait to hear Gibbs this morning in his briefing….
You make a valid point. While Virginia beat Missouri to the punch by almost a year, they did it through the Legislature and not by popular vote. Virginia actually passed a law negating Obamacare before it had even become a law. Sort of a preemptive bitch slap, if you will. Virginia doesn't have very many referendums. We do it the old fashioned way. We function as a Republic, not as a Democracy.
Don't ever let your guard down when it comes to the Left. They could care less something is unpopular. If they can find a method to impose their will, they will regardless of popularity or constitutionality.

Both ways are good for repealing obumbamacare. Virgina is exercising their State Rights and Missouri is showing that the people do not want law that was passed. To return to the Constitution we have to rein in the power of the fed govt to what the Constitution allows. We need more States like Virgina and Arizona who are willing to tell big brother that they are exceeding their powers and we need people to stand up like Missouri to voice their displeasure with the laws being enacted.
The Democrat Socialists wanted a complete Dictatorship, and they have already seized 80% of America's Economy, and have added thousands of New Government Agencies with Socialist Rules and Regulations to control U.S!

For an old fuddy-duddy like me, who turned 50 today
-that seems like a step in the wrong direction, but maybe it has prompted some of us to be more skeptical of most of the stuff that get spewed to us day and night. Even though I don’t often get inspired from any conservative talk radio I hear on a daily basis, I am thankful that it’s been responsible for bringing a demand for good progressive radio, especially Thom Hartman, Randi Rhodes and Ring of Fire, all still being alive and well long after the death of Air America.
What I find interesting is we have a senate candidate who in a Fox News interview, told to Carl Cameron how she feels the media needs to report news: the way (she) “wants it to be reported?”

On another note, I'd like to point out that Virginia is a textbook example of why Article XVII of the Constitution needs to be repealed. That is the Amendment which mandated the election of Senators by popular vote instead of appointment by State Legislatures as it was originally intended.
Our State Legislature voted overwhelmingly to pass the law negating Obamacare before it even became law, and yet our two popularly elected Senators (both dimocrats) voted the Party line to pass the Bill in the U.S. Senate. Do you see a conflict of interest here?
Things like this would most likely never happen if the Senators were chosen by the popularly elected Legislatures of their respective States! The Senators would be truly beholden and accountable to their States. This was precisely the reason that the Founders designed Article V, Clause 3 the way they did. It's time to correct this grievous mistake by repeal, just as we did with Prohibition!
Senators should not be able to thwart the will of the people of their States with impunity!

Virginia deserves some accolades. They have been in the news because a judge ruled that they can take the Feds to the Supreme Court over Obamacare. Virginia, home of the Great One, Mark Levin — and an outstanding Attorney General, and others..

I hope a lot of people see this, because it is a teachable moment. I've never seen a clearer case for repeal. Warner and Webb (those two douche bag Dim Senators) KNEW BEFORE they cast their votes in the Senate that the people of Virginia wanted no part of ObamaCide, and they voted for it anyway. I'm getting furious just thinking about it. The worst part is that we have to wait until 2012 and 2014 to get rid of them! It is intolerable!
We have a rich and proud history that is currently being ill-served by our treacherous U.S. senators. I only wish that the State Legislature had the power to recall them from office for malfeasance. If Article XVII of the Constitution were repealed, they would have such power!

Sharron Angle is getting the MSM "Palin treatment". She looks a little out of character abit and needs to be disciplined and just STAY on message. Harry Reid is REALLY unpopular nationally but it's a state wide race (obviously) so he only needs to convince 50.0000001 percent of Nevadans, not me or you.
Nevada is still a mess at 14% unemployment and massive mortage default rates; also if that race can be made a referendum (empahasis on DUMB) on Obama – she can win that race. It's within the margin of error.
