Democrats Gone Wild: Ethics Charges Filed Against Maxine Waters

A House investigative panel has charged California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters with violating ethics rules.
Waters, a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, would face a trial in the fall unless she negotiates a settlement.
If the case goes to trial, Democrats would have the political headache of two ethics trials—one for Waters and another for Rep. Charles Rangel of New York.
The specific charges against Waters were not made public in the announcement Monday from the House ethics committee.
Waters has been under investigation for a possible conflict of interest involving her assistance to a bank that was seeking federal aid. Her husband owned stock in the bank and had served on its board.

on Elena Kagan. In his written statement he said,

unfounded. Therefore, I will not vote to

Hopefully, this issue will remove her from office. She has publicly indicated that she would like the government to take ownership of oil companies. Her remarks last week at the Urban League Conference were divisive. And, she has lost her moral compass of service to the country and replaced it with her own self-serving interests.
She ranted about Newt Gingrich's ethics problems in 1985. But, now, can't own up to her own shortcomings.
The longer people serve in high office, they come to believe that they are above the rules. Lord Acton was correct when he said, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
If this doesn't get her out of office, let's hope her constituents will do it in November.

That House Democrats would try to play the race card was pretty much a foregone conclusion, all right. The question now, though, is whether they'll be able to get away with it. After the "racism" fiascos of the past few weeks, I think we may question whether the race card has not been exposed as the joke it is. Being in the echo chambers of Congress, Waters may still be able to win with it, but it depends on how much air this story gets.
