Sherrod Blasts Fox News as Racist

Check out this nugget in an interview that Shirley Sherrod did with Joe Strupp, in which she comes right out and claims Fox News is using her as a “pawn” in a racist plot to undo the gains African Americans have made:
She said Fox showed no professionalism in continuing to bother her for an interview, but failing to correct their coverage.
“I think they should but they won’t. They intended exactly what they did. “They were looking for the result they got yesterday,” she said of Fox. “I am just a pawn. I was just here. They are after a bigger thing, they would love to take us back to where we were many years ago. Back to where black people were looking down, not looking white folks in the face, not being able to compete for a job out there and not be a whole person.”
This is pretty incendiary stuff. Sherrod is clearly not going away, and now she appears determined to force a larger conversation about the Breitbart-Fox News axis’s broader efforts to stoke white resentment towards the nation’s first African American president.
Of course, if the White House’s goal is to avoid racial controversies, this blast from Sherrod isn’t going to make it any easier for them to take a stand and resolve this.
But let’s have that conversation about what Breitbart and Fox are really up to, say I! Looking forward to Fox’s coverage of this.

made her an expert on anything…I think she should go back to her job and decide if she still

Yes she uses terms that would make a White Person seem racist but the life work and life lesson that she is conveying are far from being racist acts or racist thoughts. To me and many Americans she is going to come across as a very nice lady that uses colorful language and tough life lessons to get a point across in a manor that would be accepted in a mixed or all white setting. Now if she continues in the manor this article points out then she may bury herself but this is not a case of racism, maybe a version, but when she talks about FOX I don't think she necessarily means white.

According to FOX, they didn't broadcast anything about her until after she had been fired. And she wants them to "correct their coverage" BEFORE she talks to them and gives her side of the story? None of this ever would have happened if the NAACP hadn't injected themselves into the national debate with their resolution about the tea parties.

I said it before, and I will say it again. When the video was released it showed a black racist government official, then the white guilt thing hit so everyone said she was not a racist (which I disagreed with since I never saw her recant her views, just justify her actions with Marxist reasoning). Well what we saw first was correct, the lady is a racist.
It wasn't a mistake. She wasn't an individual target. It was the administration that was the target. Breitbart released what he did because he had a pretty good idea what would happen.

Her comments in the last few days and her rush to judgement against FOX News and Andrew Breitbart say quite a bit about Mrs Sherrod's character today. What has Fox News done to garner the racist label? What hasa Mr Breitbart done to earn that same vile label? Mrs Sherrod may not be a racist but she does have her own agenda. To suggest that anyone in their right mind wants us to return to the way things were before the civil rights movement is just wrong.

The TEA Party wins by not debating. There is nothing to talk about or dignify by talking about it. The TEA Party has already addressed the issue and beating a dead horse will do nothing. There is no racism in the TEA Party and it is abhorred.
Now, there still may be a debate for Americans and that will not go away until there is no money to be made from division. Shake down artist Jackson and Sharpton just to name two of the more visible continue to get rich by dividing races. If we read the transcript of her speech we find that the white house appointee is using her position in the USDA to recruit NAACP members into the USDA and spread the USDAs version of social justice. The loans, education and funding programs and opportunities are large, made me want to join up and get a piece myself LOL.
Sherrod, a White House political appointee, is the alliance of social justice NAACP and the funding arm of the USDA (Virtually the entire reason for the USDA existence is corporate welfare)….how many recruiting meetings between White House Appointees of various Departments funding arms and social justice organizations have we not been aware off? It would not surprise me to find that hundreds of these meetings are taking place.
The USDA is nothing more than a front for corporate welfare and this has been the case for decades. Currently or eventually the USDA funding would be decided and directed by social justice agenda driven workers like Ms. Sherrod and her recruits at the NAACP meeting. That is the other layer I was trying to get at, the joining of the USDA funding programs and. —agenda driven paid employees who's job it is to secure and provide funding for ??? who or what agenda??—

This entire Sherrod episode could have been avoided if the right choice had of been made. The right choice
would have been for the TEA Party & Andrew to sue the NAACP for defamation and slander. Don't fall into the
divide and conquer climate that this administration is creating. It isn't productive. While people are bickering,
harmful legislation is being passed. Keep your eye on the prize.
She is really talking about a framework that has been used, much the same as Glenn Beck does when he talks about how the unions have used race, first whites verse blacks and then moved on to other supposed inequities. Her conclusion is different, being equality for all, but the framework is not really meant to be racist—now I could be wrong and it is a good discussion to have— but politically a majority white discussion is a looser and painting her as a racist is a loser,,,, again she may be doing it herself or she may end up doing it but politically we can only do harm to ourselves IMO.
It is unbelievably stupid that Obama called her. He is a marionette on a string, a puppet who disgraces the office of the presidency.

We can dislike people for various reasons, and we do. If I dislike someone's beliefs, behavior, remarks, etc. I may express that dislike, or I may just avoid that person. Sherrod is one of those people. If they happen to have a different skin color or ethic background than I do, they may think I'm a racist, but I'm not – I JUST DON'T LIKE THEM. And I have every right to not like them. If they prefer to think I don't like them because of racial differences, they can walk around with a chip on their shoulder, and they can complain, cast aspersions, or even lie. But they will just be digging a deeper hole for themselves, and I for one, will try to keep them in that hole, especially if it is the A kind. If they have thin skin, whatever color, they should not be in public life. They shouldn't be giving speeches.
The progression of this story has been most disturbing to me.
In the beginning Sherrod rightly blamed the NAACP for picking a fight that ended up getting her in the middle. As more of the story came out that put her in a better light, she no longer blamed the NAACP and started blaming the usual suspects of the MSM: Fox & Breitbart. Here we are today and her comments have become increasingly racially charged. As the days pass, she's sounding more like Sharpton and Jackson. Where did the sweet Shirley who was only telling a redemption story go? It's not Fox using her as a pawn – it's the MSM race baiters. Have her comments changed because she's been listening to the MSM coverage too much or because she's being "advised" by someone?

The transcript isn't complete, at 39:45 of the audio she talks about Billions nationwide from Obama already and they are running out of that money, hopefully there will be more coming and we can thank Obama for the money….paraphrased by me but the chunk about Obama and funding coming from him is missing.

I think this really speaks to the heart of this matter. It truly captures the crux of the situation and portrays it in stark relief. Ms. Sherrod was caught on tape making some rather unfortunate comments. I have not seen the entire tape, and cannot pass judgement on the context of the whole scope of her remarks. Quite simply put, she made regrettable comments, and when called to acount for her personal actions, she now lashes out at those that hold her accountable for her personal actions?!? How much longer will this excuse of "I know what I did, but it's their fault, they're out to get me" continue to receive traction? Honestly? I am not interested in discussion of how the MSM conspires to support the left. I want to know how long we as a country will entertain this refusal to take responsibilty for personal actions……

Who are the Sherrods social friends? Are their photos on local newspapers society pages?

Why is all of the attention on Sherrod? What AB was trying to show was that the NAACP are calling us racist yet they are equally racist if not more racist than we are being portrayed to be. The video proves (by the cheering and agreement) she got while telling her story about keeping the white man down! So she had an awakening! The rest of the NAACP has not!
When she talks about slaves and race, much of it is in the context of indentured whites and blacks that where able to work off their slavery (From history I think it took seven years but I am not certain)…anyway the context treats whites and blacks as one and the same, intermarrying and living next to one another. That is the framework of the beginning of the struggle against the elite whites. ANd she explains that the racism was trumped up by the elites to separate the poor blacks from the poor whites and the fact that it is still working today.

I do think everything she thinks is colored by race and poverty – I'm not sure which one is the biggest factor but her last few comments made to the press is pointing toward race.
She's digging the hole much deeper than she has to – I think everyone should back off and let it happen.

That is what she is doing in the video, having a conversation about the history of the race card—she maybe playing it herself but as far as the video that AB posted, it was in the context of history and indentured white and blacks as slaves.
When she talks about slaves and race, much of it is in the context of indentured whites and blacks that where able to work off their slavery (From history I think it took seven years but I am not certain)…anyway the context treats whites and blacks as one and the same, intermarrying and living next to one another. That is the framework of the beginning of the struggle against the elite whites. ANd she explains that the racism was trumped up by the elites to separate the poor blacks from the poor whites and the fact that it is still working today.

She views FOX, the Republican party and the right bush extra as the elites that use the race card OR she is using it intentionally herself but the historic perspective and history lesson is very interesting.
Non African people will suffer these sorts of insults until we too are allowed our own "support" groups. But of course the National association for the advancement of Western culture , would never be allowed. Well , not yet anyhow.
Read the context of the Brietbart video, she is talking about indentured whites and blacks and how the race card originated from the elites(Whites) to drive a wedge between the poor-indentured slaves–both whites and blacks….this is why I said that she is the wrong person to attack on racism, she isn't clearly racist at all. I even agree with her on some level "the man" is still using the race card to divide us, both parties do it but she either thinks of the man as being mostly the right or maybe she is playing the card herself……the discussion is interesting but the attack is folly.
Her version of who "the Man" is is where I part ways with her, but up to that point I am on board. I am not sure that she isn't attacking AB and Fox as the man or playing the race card is the point…..you can bet an attack on Obama is an attack by the man–is that racist or just perception?
HEY IMBECILE!!!!! Sherrod has NEVER been any "target" and we've never gone after HER. It's the roomful of NAACP who nodded along and smiled and agreed with her racist views (reformed or not, we dont' care). Ms Sherrod is one tiny voice in a whole big world, and one tiny little ripple in a massive pond. What matters is that the NAALCP (Thanks Rush) agrees with all that nonsense and just goes along with it. She's playing the stooge by pretending it's about her. Obama and company made it about her, in a deflecting mood, and now they're trying to deflect yet again, when it was THEM that made a mistake. Not Breitbart, nor anyone on the RIGHT demanded her blood, in the initial item, no demand was made. Rather, it was PRECISELY the same as screaming the Tea Party was racist because they "allowed" someone to be photographed at a rally…. Except that Sherrod was a featured speaker at an NAACP fund raiser. They BLESSED SHERROD, the racists were run off from the TP rallies. Stop being distracted by nonsense and pay attention to what's going on.

The case Ms. Sherrod refers to (Screws vs. United States), where the murderer of her father was let off by the Supreme Court, was decided by 4 justices appointed by FDR. Roosevelt needed the support of Southern Democrats for his New Deal programs, and had decided not to push for anti-lynching legislation that might threaten his agenda. It also impacted his Supreme Court appointments. These were the 4 justices who decided that case:
Justice Black, appointed by FDR in 1937
Justice Reed, appointed by FDR in 1938
Justice Douglas, appointed by FDR in 1939.
Chief Justice Stone, appointed by FDR in 1941.
I guess you are talking to me, no chit the NAACP agrees with her and Olinsky and the left all agree with her…it was still a mistake for AB to call her a racist when she was talking about history and indentured slavery—indentured slaves were both black and white—I doubt that you know that but she obviously does because she talked about it in the video.
That Olinsky and the NAACP didn't pick that up is pretty funny OR it is a head fake and setup from the beginning. If that is all Rush had to say then he may not get it either.
What amazes me, is that I've watched the whole video, and the real fireworks start around the 23 minute mark. So why hasn't it been mentioned anywhere?

The context of the speech was in the article — nothing she actually said in the speech was not covered in the article. You know, the article you didn't read. Sheesh!

Her history lesson is curious if you're not a product of the Zinn/Chompsky non-scholarship mindset. Calling AB a racist won't fly. It's not in the words, events, or images. You're grasping.

But truly this is a theory based on social justice, as there are many social justice folks who subscribe to the concept of "white privilege". This is not just a philosophy for blacks, as Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, Wade Rathke etc. also believe this philosophy. Robert Jenson a professor from UT wrote about it extensively, btw Jenson is white for what it is worth and subscribes to social justice philosophies.
The play book of using the race card effectively to bring about 'social justice' and redistribution.
The subject of race is brought up to advance the agenda of social justice-Cloward and Piven, a la Alinsky style tactic.
All of these philosophies, BLT, BN and 'white privilege' lead our country down a similar road…redistribution. $$$ going from the haves to the have nots.
