Sherrod Wants BigGovernment Shut Down, Thinks She Should Sue Breitbart

Shirley Sherrod said this morning on CNN that she would like to “get back at” Andrew Breitbart.
Asked if she would consider a defamation suit against Breibart, the conservative blogger who posted the edited clip that got her fired, she said, “I really think I should.”
“I don’t know a lot about the legal profession but that’s one person I’d like to get back at, because he came at me. He didn’t go after the NAACP; he came at me,” she went on.
She agreed with the hosts that it would be a “great thing” if Big Government was shut down. “I don’t see how that advances us in this country.”
“It’s hard for me to understand a person like him, and it’s hard for me to understand what is his purpose, what is he trying to do really,” she said. “He could easily make a decision to destroy me, but in destroying me, what else is he trying to do?”
Sherrod also said on today that she’d like to have a meeting with President Obama.
“I can’t say that the president is fully behind me, I would hope that he is,” she said on Good Morning America. “I would love to talk to him.”
“He is not someone who has experienced what I have experienced through life, being a person of color. He might need to hear some of what I could say to him,” she told me. “I don’t know if that would guide him in a way that he deals with others like me, but I at least would like to have the opportunity to talk to him about it.”

The racism of the NAACP was the main focus of the video. However, Sherrod isn't some victim in this mess. I have absolutely no sympathy for her. She talks about how she managed to overcome her racism to kinda, sorta, maybe help a white farmer. I call BS. Like the NAACP, she's a racist as well.
What a great opportunity to expose the Pigsford Farm/New Communities fraud in a court of law.

She wouldn't get anywhere with it because the posted video has a portion of her speech where she talked about her redemption; Brietbart's commentary in the piece mentions how she admitted she was wrong for discriminating against the white farmer. So the ones responsible for putting her in the spotlight is the WH and the Department of Agriculture for firing her.

Well there it is…I have lost all sympathy for this woman. Can't understand Breitabrt's purpose when he spelled it out in writing? Went on TV and stated his purpose? She can't understand the freedom of the press? The duty of the press to act as the watchdog guarding our freedoms? Don't like what he says so let's take away his freedom of speech. Breitbart placed a video on the internet of her talking, while others nodded or voiced agreement that has the progressives worried…..How would her comments fit with Liberation Theology coming from say…Rev. Given she screamed how bad Fox News "screwed" her over and that Fox never touched this stroy until; hours AFTER she was fired I'd suggest 1. she hasn't clue one about this site or Fox and 2. her best bet is to sue Vilsack for wrongfull termination. But that'll never happen given her background.

If he says he does not know, then he should have made a qualified publication. Also, you will find out that misrepresentation includes the duty not to deceive with partial statements.

I know that Ms Sherrod's ideology does not advance us as a country. Regardless of why she was fired, her views are extreme and toxic. She may have gotten beyond race but she hasn't gotten beyond discriminating against people she disagrees with. She should not be in a position of power over other people.

Thankfully a defamation case would require a preponderance of evidence. Merely airing a speech where Sherrod states that she gave up racal discrimination for class warfare does not meet that requirement.

The left didn't even have to turn past page 1 in their playbook to spin this thing in their favor: make Sherrod the victim. Breitbart's point wasn't even entirely about her, but that's how it's being portrayed. It takes the focus off the NAACP (as well as Vilsack, Obama, and everyone else who had a hand in so swiftly throwing her under the bus), and somehom puts the onus on Breitbart to explain his supposed wrongdoing.
They're pretty smooth sometimes, which I would admire, if the results they get were not in service to the progressivist cause.
Yo, corn, if you read that Congressional testimony I posted, you will see it goes to the very top on both sides of the aisle. This is one that all the elites have a very vested interested in making sure the general pubic has no in-depth knowledge about.

That was my thinking as well. Also, many in the media are after FOX for this story, but FOX has not mentioned it until after the woman was fired. I think the administration acted so quickly and irrationally because they know what's coming their way in November and in some convoluted way they were trying to preempt the damage.
