Breitbart: It’s Not About Shirley Sherrod; It’s About NAACP Attacking Tea Party
by PubliusYesterday Andrew Breitbart appeared on Hannity and CNN’s John King USA to discuss NAACP racism and the firing of Shirley Sherrod:
***
Breitbart’s argument is simple and straightforward: Regardless of what else is in Sherrod’s speech, the first video released on BigGovernment.com features Sherrod telling a tale of racism that is received by the NAACP audience with laughter and cheers. They weren’t cheering redemption; they were cheering discrimination. Upon hearing the cheers, Sherrod fails to offer any immediate clarification and even smiles right along with them.
Breitbart’s main objective by releasing the video was to call out the NAACP, an organization who has recently gone to great lengths to condemn the Tea Party’s alleged racism, for sanctioning racism in it’s own organization. Sherrod immediately became the scapegoat for the embarrassed NAACP and USDA, but she was never the target, the NAACP itself was, and the delight the audience took in the racist part of Sherrod’s speech leaves them exposed.
Sherrod’s firing is on the NAACP, who had the entire tape and apparently never bothered to scrutinize it until Sherrod had already been relieved of her duties. If it’s on anyone else, it’s the Obama administration, but Breitbart never even called for Sherrod to be fired.
Exemplified with today’s revelations into the JournoList and reinforced with the quote Breitbart read on Hannity, it’s been confirmed that the left conspires to label the right “racist” in order to distract from reasonable objections to Democratic candidates and ideas. In the 2008 election, it was Obama’s association with Reverend Wright. Today, it’s staggering unemployment figures. Breitbart has identified that tactic, and like he did with the ACORN video exposé, he’s used the left’s playbook against them.

Last week the NAACP shot themselves in their proverbial foot by labeling elements of the TEA Party racist, with absolutely no proof. NONE
A very labored and artificial ploy if ever there was one.
I guess now their chickens are coming home to roost.
Negro Adults Acting Completely Prejudiced………………………………the new NAACP.
OK, she did say it is about black and white… even after all that. How is that some great revelation? Sounds like she still has some racist views.
The Left just hates it when Conservatives use Alinsky's Rules.
I watched the supposedly 'full' video on Utube that NAACP put up. There seems to be a few 'blips' in the video, so I do wonder if they removed some stuff. I didn't sit the full 43 minutes & listen to it, but during the 21 min part there was a blip. Up through the 24 minute part–she starts calling people racist who disagreed with Healthcare. Anyway, I left a very polite comment on the Utube video but I did say I thought she said some offensive things. I've tried several times to add my comment…I get the message 'pending approval' – but have not seen my comment. There's only 7 comments thus far and they all back her up, say she should be reinstanted, & slam Breitbart. Whay hypocrisy.
What I don't get is if the biggovt site posted the part of the video where Sherrod tells how she found Jayzus and realized white folks aren't the debbils she thought they were. But even without the resolution, the way Sherrod talks, how she sent that "white man" to "one of his own kind," made me want to hurl.
But back to the real point: this video WAS from the NAACP, right? It was an NAACP event, right? Apparently this kind of talk is so common that no one there thought there was anything wrong with it! I mean, doesn't everyone think this way about whites, including leftist whites?
It's certainly informative to see how blacks talk about whites when there aren't any whites around (I don't include leftists, since they're neither black nor white; just not human.) Yes, this is certainly post-racial, just like Obama!
If 'she' felt like the white man was superior, then she still has a problem! Breitbart is 100% right! CNN and the other let leaning 'news' stations ,should give the Tea Party the same consideration, as they so willingly give the NAACP!!! This woman was on CNN all day yesterday saying how the White House told her that she had to resign "Because You will be on Glen Beck tonight"!!! Glen Beck didn't touch the story until yesterday! That's what I call discrimination!!
Andrew Breitbart has no shame. You think you are going to win friends and influence people going after a governmental employee who has done nothing wrong? Please. Every soccer mom has shut you out because they are afraid they are going to be next. Oh, I know you will get plenty of pats on the back from the far right. Congratulations. However, you can not win elections with just the far right. You need the soccer moms. Meanwhile, your circle keeps getting smaller and smaller. I hope you find out that juries are not impressed by your little games. I thought you learned your lesson when your henchman said "Guilty, your honor". No, not you and your sick, twisted little mind.
Mr. Breitbart, I salute you!!!! It just amazes me how you are able to just get the mainstream media and the liberal elites to just fall all over themselves. I just love seeing them just spin themselves into a corner. Mrs. Sherrod admitted her blatant racist actions and due to the race baiting over the years by the left, progressives, MSM and the far left of the democratic party she paid a hefty price. Talk about Karma…….
I've watched the whole speech on Youtube. Immediately before the passage in the supposedly damning clip she says that upon her father's death she made a commitment to help black people but that God put something in her path to change her view. The white farmer was the thing God put in her path. She had set the story up so that the audience clearly knew she was not advocating racism, she was describing what Glenn Beck calls a pivot al moment. So yeah, twenty-four years ago – when she wasn't working for the government – she admits she briefly comitted what is now called a thought crime. She goes on to say that working with this farmer showed her that her racial biases were wrong.
In terms of the original charges the original charges of racism the complete video exonerates her, and the audience.
I think she and the NAACP are essentially racist, but in a garden variety way that has nothing to do with the apparent explosive nature of the clips posted here.
Breitbart was flat wrong about basic parts of the sstory and should admit it:
1. Her comments were not about her tenure in government office.
2. Her comments were not overtly racist in the mannner they were portrayed.
3. The reaction of the audience was not overtly racist as Breitbart stated.
This is a loser for Breitbart now and the sooner he admits he got the story wrong the better.
He has no shame…the left wing pulls stunts all the time and you defend them…I.E MSNBC shows a weapon on a person at a rally talking about extreme right wingers and racism and we find out the guy is black…..they would'nt show it…Bo your own left wing medicine is hard to swallow isn't it
Talk about refusal to take responsibility for his actions! Brietbart posted a highly edited clip of a video without doing any kind of research. This resulted in false accusations of racism against Ms. Sherrod. This is basic journalism.
Why did Brietbart fail to pick up the phone and contact Sherrod for her side of the story before publication? Did he try to find the full video? NO!
Did Brietbart try to track down the white farmers and get their side of the story? No! Why not?
It's obvious, he didn't care about the truth.
Look at him now trying to spin this story and refusing to take responsibility for defaming Ms. Sherrod.
The farmers have gone out of their way to speak up for Ms. Sherrod. They say that Sherrod spent years working to help them and consider her their friend.
This was "gotcha journalism" at its worst. It's also a disgusting display of refusal to take responsibility.
Get real. It's appalling that you ignore the facts. Did you bother to watch the video? Did you listen to the white farmers who have gone out their way to defend Ms. Sherrod? Nope!
Shame on you!
Did you watch the whole video? Sherrod speaks about how her family was terrorized by racism with family members lynched. Her story is about overcoming racial fears.
It's amazing how people ignore facts to serve their own purposes.
Reality dysfunction? Yep!
@ #1. You are correct. Did Breitbart pass this off as though this inident happened while she was working for a government agency, though?
@ #2. Insert the word 'as' in between the words 'not' and 'overtly' and also change 'in' to 'as' and you have a true statement.
@ #3. You apparently didn't watch the full clip of Breitbart being interviewed by Hannity. Watch the Hannity interview clip from the 5:00 minute mark to the 7:31 mm — paying particular attention at 6:49 through to 7:31. Go to the source video of Mrs. Sherrod [http://www.naacp.org/news/entry/video_sherrod/] and watch from 17:20 through to 17:30. Maybe not overtly racist — in total context — but certainly many in the audience were caught-up in the story Sherrod was relating and enjoyed the dramatic irony of it all. It doesn't look good. And if it were a white group [if there's any possible way a story could be spun with similar irony], it would certainly not look good.
Looks like AB really touched a nerve to get all these trolls out with their very detailed talking points.
Axelrod must be paying double over-time for this crew. Kinda makes me miss old ANON and his team, at least they were entertaining.
I keep seeing "Shame on you!" in the replies to the articles written about this. You libs keep that up and you won't have any shame left.
Oh, I forgot…you didn't have any shame to begin with.
The trolls are missing the point here. Mr. Breitbart DID NOT fire Ms Sherrod. Obviously you have not followed this website lest you would have known that this week Breitbart has been covering the racism charge that is used ad nauseum by the NAACP to further their political goals and WAS NOT being reported by the MSM. Ms. Sherrod may have been a scapegoat, I don't know, but I do know the fault doesn't lie with Breitbart, instead it lies with her own words (albeit only snippets) and the NAACP's own hypocrisy.
The farmer spoke up because he probably is still sucking off the govt. tit and wants to keep his subsidies.
Thanks for making up news and wasting my time with a childish reciprocation attempt.
We love Andrew Breitbart! On Hannity last night he made the point that it's not about Breitbard or Ms Sherrod. It's about BLATANT racism at the naacp! Notice the applause and laughter as Ms Sherrod is telling the crowd about the white farmer, and how she was not going to give it her best ONLY because he was white. The crowd was ecstatic! You can hear the APPROVAL from the RACISTS in the audience. Whether or not Ms Sherrod had a revelation or not and admitted the error of her ways, the crowd had no idea her closing remarks would indicate she was wrong in her thinking. Mr Breitbart's point was that up until that point the RACISTS in the crowd approved of her racist remarks, and that is the point! the naacp has long outlived its usefullness! Its current leadership and its attacks on the TEA Party are HYPOCRISY in action! PATHETIC!
1. Go watch the original video Brietbart posted. The introductory text says that in the speech she admits to discriminating in her federal position. That's been disproven; she wasn't saying that in the video.
2. I acknowledged that she is a garden variety racist – of a kind that is widely accepted in American society. She is not the kind of racist the clips poste here made her out to be.
3. This matter can only be fairly judged now upon the terms in which it was originally presented. She is clearly not the sort of monster the original clips would indicate.
The rest of the talk is just a pedestiran everyday liberal horror show of the kind that most americans are used to.
Who was lynched and when? Simple question.
Shirley Sherrod… meet Alexandra Polier. The two of you should get together over over lunch, and compare war stories about this wonderful thing called "new journalism"… and how it's anything but.

BIG Government, BIG Journalism, BIG Hollywood, etc
BIG = Breitbart Is God
I love it!!
From some of the news sources this morning, its sounding like the AG people are under pressure to reinstate her. Whatever the truth may be of her full speech, there can be no doubt that if she were white, and the audience was white, there would be a snowball's chance in h$@# of her being reinstated.
One of the possibilities is that the racist parts of the story she told were a fabrication made up to get street-cred from what she expected to be a racist audience. (The audience certainly approved of the racist bits.) The farmer and his wife, however, had no recollection of that part of the story.
Another interesting side note I've seen reported was that she was involved in some major lawsuit with the AG prior to getting her current position. There has to be bad blood between her and the AG over that.
I think you're right…we haven't had this many trolls in a long time!!
I still think Breitbart should be a little more apologetic about posting a clip from a video without knowing the whole context, he did kind of mislead in the initial posts, though I do agree with his point that the video wasn't supposed to be about Sherrod but rather the NAACP members seemingly approving of Sherrod's racist behavior.
What's actually amusing is the Oministration and NAACP's initial knee-jerk reactions in fear of Glenn Beck, lol. Hell in the whole context, it sounds like Sherrod realized that Marxism became more important to her than racism; she shouldn't have been fired, she should have been appointed to a cabinet position!
I know the comments section of any website is always 90% ignorance, but you guys really take the cake. I'm sure there were plenty of racists in the NAACP crowd, just like there are plenty of racists everywhere from here to the moon — whatever. The point is this woman was addressing her racism. She ended up helping the people and learned something – and maybe she got a few of the people laughing thinking about their racism. Yet her revelation gets twisted into something ugly for Mr. Breibart's agenda. Even now, after it is shown that the video was edited to completely distort her story, commenters here are more concerned with pointing out how "the other side" whether it be right or left, is evil and racist and blah blah blah…You people are truly sad examples of our society… Mr. Breitbart, if you are any kind of man, you should publicly apologize to this woman. Not a half-assed apology where you say "Oh sorry" and then go on to some other point to push your agenda, but a true apology where you admit you should have investigated this story further before dumping gasoline on this woman's life and lighting the match…
Saw that interview with Hannity,…….
Hannity tried to interject his take on this story,……..
but Breitbart talked over him in ordr to make his point,………
Hannity is a nice guy but just a tad on the simple side.
where were they when the media was doing a job on;
Bork,……
Thomas……
S. Libby,…….
does the word macaca (sp) ring a bell.
Great post. I agree with all of it. Here's some things that I noticed about Sherrod's entire speech at the NAACP's inapropriately named "Freedom Fund Banquet":
1:44 – 2:14 Jobs at the USDA…anyone ever heard of losing their job at the federal government? [Strive to find federal governments jobs...even those jobs in agencies that might be off-putting because of their category/naming...make a career in government]
6:13 – 7:05 story of Sheriff "Gator" Johnson..Corrupt government official who had his deputies stop out-of-towners and cite them for things to raise revenue and line their pockets. [message: don't trust the government]
14:25 – 14:43 mother became first black elected official and has served her county's board of education for 34 years. [again, strive for public service and the make it a career, Y'all]
So CNN, MSNBC and NBC all jump to the defense of Sherrod when the NAACP and the Government jump to conclusions and accuse her of racism, over a tape that was cropped. Where were these same media outlets when accusations of racism against the Tea Party were made? Or when MSNBC cropped photos of African Americans at a Tea Party to show examples of violent racism against the nation's first black President?
All of this talk from the NAACP, the media and now the President to get "all sides of the story" is a bunch of BS. When an African American Senator makes accusations that he was called N-R more than 10 times and was surrounded, the media STILL to this day back up his claim, when video evidence to the contrary exists.
There is a double standard. Ms. Sherrod now knows what its like to be a member of the Tea Party.
"I didn't fire her!" No, I just showed a distorted video of her to induce rage and shock in everyone and oh my gosh if she got fired it had nothing to do with me… my God, how do you sleep at night. What a weasel. And then when it is pointed out that she admitted she was being racist and what happened after that, your defense is "oh yeah but what she said before she admitted she was a racist was…" So, everyone is damned for being ignorant and racist in the first place? They can't admit to it and show how they learned to overcome it? So I guess any apology or effort by Breitbart to redeem his actions in this matter would be worthless since he is and always will be a jackass…
I do not understand all the hoopla about this story,…………..
it kinda reminded me of the days I used to watch ABC, CBS, and NBC.
More:
14:25 – 14:43 mother became first black elected official and has served her county's board of education for 34 years. [again, strive for public service and the make it a career, Y'all]
17:19 – 17:48 this is a portion of the 'White Farmer' story that's now become infamous…deciding how much help to give not giving full attention or "force" of what she could do. [now, it is fair to note that this story did not involve incidents at a government agency; instead this happened at a non-for-profit organization. However, this does reveal the nature of the attitudes that a great many [certainly not all] people have who gravitate toward public service. Many people who gravitate toward public service see themselves as having the power to dispense other people's money based on whatever criteria that they personally hold near and dear. Again, strive toward public service jobs but what does this say about corruption?]
more:
21:02 [after obvious edit] – 21:25 It's about poor versus those that have..so, serve in government to try and correct the economic injustices [steeped in Marxist language about haves and have not, class struggles, at best you can say is that it's no longer about racism, but now this leads to something every bit a sinister]
21:28 – 24:13 The history lesson of indentured servitude and what led to racial divisions. [there is a wealth of information here in this short portion of this recording. Mrs. Sherrod doesn't seem to notice that it was government laws -- not wealthy people -- which caused the problems that she speaks of. Then she makes the penultimate acknowledgement while failing to realize where the blame needs to be properly placed when she talks about the need to stay in power. Also, the fact that she brings up racism being perpetuated through divisive politics is lost on everybody including herself considering the venue of this speech]
This has the makings of a tremendous story. Breitbart showed a clip that had the White House and NAACP pooping themselves. It is an indication of the typical "knee-jerk" reaction of this administration. With the relavations of "Journolist" and Rev. Wright, it just goes to show how manipulative they all are.
To be honest, I too jumped to conclusion based on the small clip that I first watched. But it was a brilliant move on Breitbarts part because it illustrates how sensitive this issue has become.
Someone said that a racist is a person who is winning an argument with a liberal.
This is a golden oppourtunity to face the racism accusations head on and show how biased those in the NAACP and the White House truely are.
00.02
more:
25:49 – 27:00 Mrs. Sherrod laments that racial divisions still exist and wishes that there were more whites in the audience [this reveals a fundamental ignorance by Mrs. Sherrod: if what she is lamenting about didn't exist any longer, would the venue for her speech at an NAACP event be happening in the first place. Would any white non-politicians be welcome there? Would any white non-Marxists be welcomed there? Would Booker Taliaferro Washington even be welcomed there if he were still alive? Now answer this: if it's all about keeping power, why in the hell would the leadership of the NAACP want the black/white divide to really go away?]
29:50 – 30:31 $80 million and not one dime is from the agency she used to work in is going to businesses with black ownership. [don't know what to add for commentary on this one other than, as a minarchist, why is any money going to anyone for starting a business. Sink or swim!]
finally:
30:39 – 32:10 discussion of government programs where young people can intern in government jobs while in college and then nab that government job after school. [Why promote the government jobs when you just spent time suggesting, wrongfully in my opinion, that people should take government money to RUN an agricultural business of their own? Schizophrenia, I'm guessing]
The story of the White Farmer is an interesting one. Guy's farm was going into foreclosure. Mrs. Sherrod laments that the farmers attorney was not representing the farmer well [and this is likely very true] even though the farmer was paying for the legal services. The attorney's advice was to put the farm on the market. I have to ask at this point: who wasn't getting paid while the farmer stopped making mortgage payments? That's right; use government when you can in order to get bailed out. I have no idea if the White Farmer was upside down on the farm or not but obviously the idea of muting market signals by protecting people from dumb decisions that ordinarily would cause losses has been well ingrained in society for quite some time.
Racism is the weapon of the left, they use it over and over, beating into submission any opposition to their Marxist agenda. Maybe the Black community will begin to see that this super sensitivity to race created by the left for political power is hurting all us us!
Always remember LEFT is an acronym: Lying, Egotistic, Fanatic,Totalitarian. Everything they say or do is propaganda. They control access to the uninvolved through their MSM. Truth is their enemy. They will spin this against us and we will be on the defensive if we are not careful just as we are about the completely unfounded Racism charges.
Sure is interesting how the lefties,…….
as evidenced by the traffic in this and all articles about this topic,…………
have made such a big deal about Bretitbart and completely ignore,………..
the role on the part of the NAACP, which started to play out weeks days ago (Tea Party is racist)
Why did the NAACP post a doctored video?
Why would he have any shame? He's done nothing shameful.
So, I've re-watched this again. I'm afraid that no matter the happy the little outcome of her tale that serves her image of herself more than actually speaks to the problem of poor farmers, she is blatantly ascribing a white man's attitude toward her as racist. His so-called need to show himself superior to her is strictly her interpretation of a man she at that time did not know. But she still believes it. She says it twice.
Does he agree with that assessment? Does he say, "oh yes, she had me pegged!" Or is it all okay now because he's been helped, regardless of his being a racist, because he was "poor?"
Color me unimpressed all around with Sherrod and the NAACP. And remind me again how a white male would be treated if he told a heartwarming tale of his overcoming his own prejudices against whatever racial stereotype, while using derogatory language about same, while his audience nodded and laughed about the slur?
The point that the NAACP's reaction to the part of Mrs. Sherrod's speech where she talks about her initial racist treatment of the white farmer is damning for the NAACP is true but that doesn't change the fact that both the clips and the article Breitbart wrote when unveiling the clips falsely smeared Mrs Sherrod as a racist.

Breitbart said:
We are in possession of a video from in which Shirley Sherrod, USDA Georgia Director of Rural Development, speaks at the NAACP Freedom Fund dinner in Georgia. In her meandering speech to what appears to be an all-black audience, this federally appointed executive bureaucrat lays out in stark detail, that her federal duties are managed through the prism of race and class distinctions.
—
Last but not least, stating that someone manages their duties 'through the prism of race and class distinctions' and then later on claiming 'I didn't mean for them to be fired!' is disingenous.
Andrew great job on this story. I am reminded of another gentleman from years ago, Raymond Donavan. During Reagan's second term his appointee for Labor Relations had many accusations hurled at him from the left the result being that Donavan faced legal trouble and resigned. After two and a half years in court he was exonerated. His remark at the end of the trial, which suprisingly was not "scrutinized by the media", was "where do I go to get my honor back?"
Judging by the news from yesterday, it appears that Ms. Sherrod was set up by the Chicago crowd. A shortened video was provided to Breitbart. Breitbart played it stressing that the audience thought racism of black and white was good fun. Later it turns out that the NAACP video had been highly selective showing Sherrod commiting a crime. Sherrod gets coerced into resignation of her position. NAACP releases a longer video of Sherrod speech showing her to be less than a crime breaker but still does not release the full video. It also comes out that Sherrod and her husband had formed a land trust of only black land owners that had a lawsuit successfully adjudicated for a whopping $13m to be paid by the government.
continued…
The new meme from the government and its useful idiots is that the "right has done something (read the full litany of lefty screed) wrong" thus pushing the story from the full truth to the usual half-truths so that those in power get away with canning an uncomfortable employee. Don't look behind that curtain!
continued…sorry, oops
So here is what we have:
A black woman outed by the NAACP leading to her termination
A second release by the same organization that has been coming under fire for calling out racism against the TEA Party now exhonerating the one they outed even though the longer video is still edited and shows a gross example of left think/Marxist dialectic
The White House interfers with a governmental department forcing an employee to resign because she will be on Glen Beck. Kinda shady don't you think?
The "victim" gets plenty of left news entertainment face time.
The victim wins a big lawsuit putting her on easy street.
Breitbart now gets the full lefty monty of unsubstantiated sins.
What has not been answered up to now? Who dishonestly outed Sherrod? Who put them up to it? Sherrod resigned her position but is she still employed by the Feds? Why was the White House so quick to act? Did the WH politicos out Sherrod? How much is Sherrod's retirement pay? Why is the NAACP playing the White House's tune? Ask yourself was this done to push the New Black Panther case off the non-MSM headline? Who, right now, is sitting with Pres. Obama drinking a beer?
georgia2010
I FEEL THE SAME, ANDREW SOUNDED VERY COLD HEARTED ON HANNITY. I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT HER BEING FIRED. THAT IS A COLD RESPONSE, THIS IS A HARD WORKING LADY. SHE HAS A RIGHT TO RETIRE AND ENJOY HER LIFE. IF ANDREW HAS A BONE TO PICK WITH THE NAACP,THEN JUDGE IT ON ITS RECORD. THIS LADY WAS ONLY THERE FOR A REASON.SHE WAS NOT A WORKER FOR THEM.WE NEED TO LOVE, CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER. THE RESPONSE ANDREW GAVE SENT CHILLS UP MY SPINE.THAT HE DOES NOT CARE , WE ARE ALL AMERICANS AND IN A FAMILY, WHEN 1 HURTS WE ALL HURT.I AM HAPPY THEY WILL EXTEND UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT. THERE COULD BE A FUTURE PRESIDENT WHO NEEDS FOOD,TO GROW UP AND ASSUME HIS OR HER PLACE IN HISTORY. ANDREW, LEARN TO CARE ABOUT OTHERS, IF THE TEA PARTY IS WHAT YOU SAY IT IS ,I HOPE THEY HAVE LOVE AND CARE IN THEIR HEARTS. ANDREW BE A REAL MAN AND RETRACT THE COLD RESPONSE YOU GAVE ON HANNITY.
You're a real hoot. I have some friends over tonight — some of them conservatives (with brains) and we are getting a real kick out of you. You ought to consider becoming the next Palin, or Backmann. Now, goodnight, dear. We are done with you.
lol Well, the tea party has been exposing themselves even further thus far. Andrew Barfbart has been exposed, and is being blasted on every network (including a few on Fox News). And here are the idiot supporters struggling to support their idiot leader. If it wasn't enough for you all to make fools of yourselves, here's a racist death threat from another tea partier. lol @ you all exposing yourselves!!!

ROTFLMAO!!!!
Ah yes, the textbook fake indignation when faced with rational responses. Liberals…
ROTFLMAO!!!
I'd be proud to stand side by side with Mrs. Palin or Mrs. Bachmann. Conservative women rock!
And the close with more snotty condescension.
ROTFLMAO!!!
ABC news was nice enough to give her a piece. They made her out to be the victim. Supposedly the administration
offered her another job. What a joke.

Breitbart – so full of s—. In a word Absurd
I've seen the video and the bottom line is that she has a racist bone to pick with white people and allowing that bias to influence her judgement is wrong. Especially for a civil or federal employee. You can debate whether she should have been fired, but I agree with Mr. Breibart that there is a double standard for libs and cons or repubs and dems, which he says is the reason he released the tape. Now the real story here is that the Obama Administration totally jumped the gun (again) and canned the women without due process. So the blame should fall squarely on the President and his administration, yet Obama Zombies are out in full force trying to pin everything on Fox and Breitbart. I love it!!!! It will bring all these race crap to the fore front and hopefully we can squash all this drama. So thanks again to Andrew Breitbart for exposing hypocritical left wing race baiting nut jobs.
You GD leftist just don't get it do ya. The whole point of this was to use the lefts tactics against them. There's one thing that I admire/hate about the left and thats how they play hardball/dirty politics. I can'tt count the number of times in the last 30 years I've seen this same kind of gotcha tactic used against republicans and never a word from the rest of the Lame Street Media. It's about f—ing time the right started doing things like this. I love it. Get in their face and stay on the attack. Don't give them a second to catch their breath. Up yours you commie bastards.
Now if the right does that about a million more times we might be able to start catching up to what the left has been doing for the last 30 or 40 years.
Hold on now. I keep reading comments that put down Breitbart, but fail to mention one small fact. If the original, whole version of this tape was in the possession of the NAACP, then the edited version sent to Breitbart came FROM THE NAACP! Sounds like the whole thing was a set-up to attack Breitbart.
Last I saw, Sherrod stated in her speech before the racist NAACP that those opposed to Maobamacare (ie, most of the country) are only against it because Obama is black.
She's no hero — she's a racist. End of discussion.
Don't forget to invite Dan Rather.
Don't anoint this woman to sainthood just yet. In the very same tape, she attributes opposition to Obama's health care plan to his skin color. Or, put another way, a majority of the country opposes Obama because he's black.
She said it; Andrew Breitbart did not.
Let's be honest — all the hoopla over this overblown episode, and the whitewashing of Sherrod's racist statements, is about one thing and one thing only: An attempt by the perverted left and their corrupt friends in the big leftstream Journolist media to smear Breitbart, because he has effectively and repeatedly exposed leftist corruption, hypocrisy and criminality. And they know more and more will be coming, so this is a preemptive effort to smear him and discredit him.
But it won't work. Because the left will hang themselves with their own words and deeds, and we no longer have rely on the corrupt leftwing media to tell us what we "really" saw and heard.
Keep at em, Andrew.
Did the racist NAACP apologize for smearing Tea Party activists, falsely accusing them of using the N-word?
Nope — they and the entire corrupt Journolist media continue to repeat the lie, despite zero evidence.
Take your phony indignation to somebody who gives a shit.
Nice sharing,thanks alot.
