In light of recent investigative reports from the Daily Caller that reveal close coordination between Media Matters for America and the White House, BigJournalism and BigGovernment have undertaken the task of revisiting some of our prior reporting on the media watchdog group and our list of its donors. Good for them.
I'll be glad it's over.
And then back to ignoring soccer for another four years.
Snore. Yawn. When is this borefest going to be over?
It'll be nice for the news media in general to start paying attention to things that matter again.
Why is this even on the BIG sites?????
Who will Obama root for if the finalists are from predominantly white countries? Probably the one that has the most muslims!
Germany–Merkel–World Cup–Healthy Economy
USA–Obama–Oil Spill–9.5 Unemployment
Can't wait for the 2012 finals in November
Hey everybody, !@#$% Soccer, how about NASA'a mission is to help Muslims feel good about their scientific accomplishments!
WOW ain't that GREAT!
America's space administration has become America's Spaced Out Administration.
What a Fcuking joke!
Where is the outrage on the BIgs?
I'm sure somebody cares about this…………..somewhere.

Can we please talk about something relevant……….?
Thanks for the open thread Breitbart. Germany v Spain will be a great game. Looking forward to it. Either way, Holland v Germany/Spain will be a very entertaining finals to watch. Germany and Holland seem to both be hitting their peak at the right time.
To everyone who is hating on the beautiful game….at least it isn't hockey….or the NBA….or golf. But seriously, I love listening to people who don't like soccer tell everyone how much they don't like soccer. Most of us actually don't care that you don't like soccer…even the people who don't like soccer don't care that you don't like soccer. Do you even care that you don't like soccer?? I hope you all take comfort in knowing that soccer isn't just for socialist liberals.
It's all part of the plan Dave. The Administration has so inundated us with anti-American socialist policies, laws and proclamations, we have reached saturation.
People just can't process them all.
It may not be evident in the blogs, but there is outrage in the hearts and minds of freedom loving Americans. Our chance is coming. November is just around the corner.
William Wallace: I *am* William Wallace! And I see a whole army of my countrymen, here in defiance of tyranny. You've come to fight as free men… and free men you are. What will you do with that freedom? Will you fight?
Veteran: Fight? Against that? No! We will run. And we will live.
William Wallace: Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live… at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take… OUR FREEDOM!
Braveheart – 1995
o has appointed Dr Donald Berwick to head up a medicare and medicade post w/o having him
confirmed by the Senate. Dr Berwick, of Harvard is a proponent of the British model of HC. He
favors rationing and wealth redistribution, as well as many other far Left positions. Seems there
would have been too many nasty questions posed to the good doctor by Senators, as he has a
prolific paper trail. Beck spoke extensively on him many moons ago, will probably be discussing
it on radio and TV today.
Soccer, baseball, football, zeppelin racing, whatever. Most of the posts I see here are not about a loathing of soccer, it's about the time and energy wasted on it. Somebody wins a trophy after going to battle on the soccer pitch and defending their nation's honor. I get it. But with all that is going on in our country and the world today, is the world cup relevant? Does it make a difference in say, protecting Georgia from Russia, or Israel from the rest of the world? Is it slowing down Iran's nuke program?
While freedom is being dismantled and trampled around the world, the masses are watching television. Soccer, Hockey, worm wrestling, it's all the same – in the end, it doesn't matter.
So, can we please talk about something relevant?
Geesh, you haters. Do you think every item on the BIG sites is going to be something you agree with or care about? If there's an OPEN thread on something you find beneath your interest IGNORE IT.
(Go Netherlands!)

Man, you need to lighten up a bit. Are you able to sleep at night, or do you lie awake worrying about the end of the world? I too am alarmed at the way our government is operating and yes I buy into the fact that a 2nd Great Depression is looming and is being brought on by the economic policies being instituted as we type. But, taking the time to enjoy life just a little bit (be it worm wrestling or the world cup) is a necesity for most people. Otherwise, you will drive yourself crazy. It doesn't take away from our focus on removing O and the libs from power and bringing to light their (horrendous) policies. Sometimes stepping away from the situation is the best thing you can do.
I agree with you abots. I'm one of those knuckle-dragging conservatives whom much of the Left hates, yet I love top-knotch soccer and the World Cup. Athletes like Xavi, Robben and Thomas Muller are a joy to watch, as were Cruyff in 1974 and Rossi in 1982. I had the pleasure of being in Great Britain during the '74 World Cup, and enjoyed the coverage of it there.
Commentators on both sides of the political spectrum have made fools of themselves over soccer: left-wing fools who claim that those who don't like soccer are racist, and right-wing fools who think that soccer is for wimps.

Pick your topic, Boldness and spout off to your hearts content. I think that's what the word
OPEN means. Have at it, I for one would enjoy learning about issues that concern others.
If you will notice below, I posted a comment that concerns me………….crickets???? No one
else seems interested…….today……..but within a few days there will be an article on my
issue somewhere on the Bigs.
Well, OK. I'll hang out at the sports bar and wile away my time. If that is what you think is best for me.
But then again, maybe some people should lighten up about people who don't appreciate one sport or another.
To each his own.
I am definitely interested in the topic of your post One, but I haven't done enough research to comment yet.
Your point is well taken though.
Thanks.
