Pattern: Recollections of Another Etheridge Assault
by PubliusFrom The Pilot:

A video of Rep. Bob Etheridge physically confronting a college student in Washington brought back unpleasant memories for one former Moore County resident.
Brandon Leslie, who moved away seven years ago and is now an attorney in Oxford, Miss., said he had an encounter with the now seven-term Democratic congressman from Lillington almost 14 years ago.
In the fall of 1996, when Leslie was a senior at Pinecrest High School, he said he met Etheridge at a Pinecrest football game. Etheridge – then the state superintendent of public instruction – was challenging incumbent Republican David Funderburk for his congressional seat. At the time, Moore County was part of the 2nd District, which Etheridge now represents.
Leslie said he introduced himself to Etheridge and asked him about his stance on a particular education program. He said Etheridge didn’t answer his question, so he pressed him two more times.
“And that’s when he grabbed me by the shoulders, he shook me, and I’ll never forget it, he said, ‘Son, you need to learn to respect your elders,’” he said by phone on Wednesday. “I was just so taken aback, I think my jaw just dropped, and he walked off.”
Leslie said he was angrier about Etheridge’s attitude and “patronizing” tone than the physical contact.
“It wasn’t to hurt me, it wasn’t to harm me,” he says. “It was that he was irritated and wanted to get my attention.”
Leslie said the incident caused somewhat of a firestorm at the time, and he was contacted by a few newspapers, but no stories ever appeared.
Continue reading here. In 1996, newspapers could get away with ignoring a story like this. Today, not so much.

There is a clear pattern here. Etheridge must be charged and prosecuted. If he is not, we have no rule of law anymore!

I guess since Leslie is now a self-described democrat who favors the Obama agenda, he could say that Etheridge just shook some sense into him. The again, law school might had something to do with his love of socialism. So do we put this in the FOR or AGAINST column? Or, is this guy just trying to drum up business?
So now we have a pattern of violence and absent media – nothing to see here move along.
If a congressman, senator or any other elected official grabs you like this, just for asking a question, you are legally entitled to defend yourself to the fullest.
I know it takes a significant amount of restraint as a reporter, which I'm not, to take this type of attack. Maybe it is the training. However, being trained in self-defense, by our military, I do not believe I could withhold myself to endure this type of attack.
I wonder how the news would read if this A-hole tried this on someone, like myself or another, who would defend themselves to the degree of breaking his arm in order to defy his restraint?
It is a simple matter that this guy, just like all the other socialist progressives, believes they can get away with their uppity yet lawless attacks on We the People. This can be stopped beginning in November.
VOTE IN NOVEMBER FOR THE CONSTITUTION, NOT IDEOLOGY!!
And the hits just keep on coming!
Guess that seat won't be so secure for the Dems anymore.
Rep. Bob Etheridge is history.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out BOB.
What is it with all this violence? I see this problem everywhere. Thugs have taken over our Country and they need to be stopped. This guy should have the book thrown at him, and use him for an example for the remaining thugs!
Yeah and please take oblahma with you. : )
Bullies do not change without discipline. Since there are no charges it appears it is up to the voters.
Sometimes I ponder the thought that, it just might be safer if all tax paying citizens were put in jail away from the criminals on the streets…… be cheaper too.
And let the beatings begin! : )
but dont forget its the TPM who are the angry racist mob
After all, there are so many of us!
And lest we forget, IT"S ALL BUSH'S FAULT!!!
It's time to jail these suckers for their crimes of violence, with the term of imprisonment being their remaining time in office plus five years. Bye! Bye! Etheridge.
It's our society changing. When I was growing up your heroes were people of dignity, respect, ethics and morals. Today, the heroes are punk ass cry babies that whine that their paychecks aren't big enough as they start gunfights and do drive-by shootings from their Bentleys.
How true you are…….And that's from lack of discipline!
You left out the "glimpse into the future" as to how this current incident will play out, Dave. Nothing will happen.
His district apparently doesn't see anything wrong with him physically battering folks he doesn't like so they'll keep sending him back. And unless the kid sues him and gets REEEEL lucky with a decent….lolololol…sorry DC judge, he'll walk and the kid will get charged with intimidation of an elected official.
No point in even worrying about it. Voters get who they vote for. Evidently he takes very good care of them or at least they think he does. Either way….he's going back to congress, IMO.
Hey sorry bout Obama's "oil bill" and its impact on OK, Dave. Sux but what can we expect? They will flat out steal private oil industry or destroy it….they don't really care which.
More proof this POS Etherhole needs is an elbow to the jaw resulting in the need of a new orthodontist. Of course then, I can see the slimestink media whining about how a poor congresscritter got beat up by a evil tea party constiuent for daring to ask the god a question.
On the other hand.-Id be happy to see the CELLDOOR hit him in the back of the Etherholes head as hes being escorted in the greybar motel. Might actually knock some sense into it.
This is what happens when liars and cheats are outed. Con men hate sunshine.
I'll bet ol' Bob's wife is one of those gals that falls into doors a lot. She's just clumsy.
Only a fool could look at the video of the latest Etheridge event and not realize that it (his behavior) was a manifestation of deep-seated and long held beliefs of his own superiority over his fellow human beings.
The man is a despicable piece of human garbage and deserves to be put on the curb with the rest of the garbage. Look closely at his face in the latest video. That is what is behind the mask of every Proglib bastard on the planet. Do you really want these hateful idiots controlling the most intimate and important aspects of your life? You are a fool if you do.
Headline Event! BEAT DOWN AT THE BALLOT BOX – 2010! Available exclusively on pay-per-view! Order now! rofl!
There is no difference…except in degree. Alcohol only brings to the surface what we so carefully conceal when we are sober. In vino, veritas.
Congressman Etheridge, when did you stop beating your constituents?
This needs to be stopped NOW. And the way to stop it is to charge this bully with assault and throw his worthless tush in jail. We also need a law that prevents members of congress from keeping their office if they are convicted of a felony.
Oh, wow, I'm gonna have to remember that one. THX!
His opponent should use it… That would be great…
FYI, they didn't train for this in J school when I went through. It is self-control.
I do think part of the reaction by the student was shock/surprise. No one really expects a man in a suit with one of the highest positions of responsibility in the land to get physical. (Unless you are an intern, snicker)
Why doesn't every reporter go up and start asking this man questions? SImple, straightforward, no attitude questions. With his hostility issues and total lack of self-control, he'll crack.
Don't forget to keep those cameras rollin'
Naw… This one's Breitbart's fault.
Only one thing left for the Dem's to do. Time for Anger Management Rehab. Give him a few weeks, break out the Kleenex, shed some tears, proclaim how Brave he is, give him an award, not his fault, he has a Disease!
There! Problem solved.
Barf.

Heh.
Wish I could disagree but I can't.
As far as them stealing the oil industry your right! Lets suspend off shore drilling then loan 2 billion to Brazil so they can open up areas. And by the way I wonder where the rigs will be going that were going to be used by the US companies? This administration is the most UN-American ever.
Are you trying to ask him a question? Look out.

He needs to attend an anger management course as a private citizen. Support his opposition this Nov. This guy should not be anywhere near DC.
No sh!t. You'd better wear a helmet when you pop that one on him! lol!
Closer to home but in keepin with killin or stealin the oil industry …….
Amendment proposed in the U.S. Senate on tax legislation that would eliminate our ability to expense intangible drilling cost within the year first incurred, as well as elimination of the percentage depletion allowance and other provisions of the U.S. tax code that have been in existence for decades. While these tax provisions are being touted by some as a subsidies for "Big Oil", they have a much greater impact on independent oil and gas companies, like QEP Resources. If these changes are adopted into law, they will have a severe impact on our company and other independents that produce the majority of America’s oil and gas. To give you a sense of the importance of this legislation and the urgency of my request, just the change in immediate deductibility of intangible drilling expenses could directly impact QEP's capital budget by reducing cash available to invest in our drilling programs by 25-40% a year!
I haven't checked but since everything else passes.. I assume this tax did too? Do you know. This one especially dings OK big time. Despite your small drilling op, like only a few operating wells, what is it OK produces, like 23% of all the oil used in the US….huge figure. Huge tax burden now, if it passed.
Wasn't there some sort of video with this guy in it that a handful of people actually cared about? 15 minutes of fame gone buh bye?
The Pilot is my hometown newspaper and I'm glad to see John Krahnert's article is getting widespread attention here at Big Government.
