Once in U.S. history an episode of Islamic terrorism was very quickly stopped. It happened in the Philippines about 1911, when Gen. John J. Pershing was in command of the garrison. Not completely OT, but here's a link from DailyKos where a Muslim serving in the US military has video-taped the interior of a Fort Hood worship center. The Muslim is upset that the military has provided a worship center that is too Christian. His main complaint seems to be that there are crosses in many of the rooms. Since this is not a depiction of either Christ or any other deity or prophet, I think his argument is BS. The poster of the video (not the Muslim) explains the situation behind the complaints and seems to think that providing a "Biblical-based financial class" (Financial Peace University) is evidence that the Fort Hood worship Center is "too Christian." I never heard a Jew threaten to kill someone for mocking their religion and never read anything in their scripture that would allow it, so you have no point. You don't have to be brave to mock other religions because they actually are PEACEFUL, unlike Islam which just claims to be.
Considering that the vast percentage of those in the military are Christian it doesn't seem out of line to me to have that religion more represented in the "worship center"
You know, I had no desire at all to draw a picture of Allah or mock Islam, until I was told that they forbid me to, and that this "religion of peace" could have me killed for doing something that is completely within my rights. When someone tells me I can't do something, as an American it just makes me want to prove that I can and that they and their threats aren't going to stop me if that's what I want to do.
