The Obama administration used Orwellian language when it talked of putting a boot on the throat of BP. Those words were carefully chosen. As Obama once said words matter. I don't think this remark received much coverage. Tony Blankley wrote a column on it along with someone at the Washington Examiner. My video:

As an American of Mexican descent, I take exceptional offense by "President" Obama's remarks in the tape of this Article.

I know i am only 44 and have not seen it all BUT does anyone recall an AMERICAN president so willing to side with lawbreakers and outright enemies of this country? each state has the right to make and enforce its own laws,at least AZ has the stones to do something about the problem, the pathetic worms in D>C> would just as soon learn a different language, adopt a new flag and a new nationality. national sovereignty is only to be respected when it is the sovereignty of another country.

I live in Tucson. I used to joke that Tucson had been annexed by Mexico ten years ago and nobody noticed. Raul Grijalva – the US representative-(is there not irony in that word?) – wants businesses to stay away from Arizona. Give him what he wants and watch him squeal. The Mexican Mafia is running this town. The Mayor (Walkup, a white guy) has filed suit on the taxpayer dime against this law. That is against the law.
And Pelosi is arguing that we should leave the borders unprotected because of the cost of catching drug runners as opposed to the cost of treating drug abusers. Of course she completely disregards all of the costs of the periphrial crimes that they commit to feed their habit and the crimes committed while high and the families destroyed by drugs. Then she wants to be touchy feely with illegal immigrants who steal identities for jobs and have anchor babies to get on our welfare rolls.

I feel we also need to re-word the 14th Amendment to the Constitution so that children of illegal aliens do not become automatic citizens if they are born on American soil. This Amendment was written after the Civil War for the children of slaves. We no longer have slaves in America. It needs to say "children born to a U.S. citizen" have automatic citizenship. That would help in stemming the tide of this "silent invasion".

However, Governor Brewer's video posted above, has 303,685 views. That is approximately 59 to 1. Seems the truth is that everyone is laughing at those infantile lefties that don't possess the mental acuity required to understand the need for Arizona's new law.
I think we just found the next POTUS. A person with the proven character, who will stand up for what is right, even in the face of incredible criticism and arrogance. Another Margaret Thatcher if I ever saw one.

Thank you all for your support. It is so nice to have real American's understand and treat us with respect. We Arizona's have been begging for help for years,and we havel got nothing. They use this issue on election years and forget us and the truth is we can no aford it with our money or our lives. Last year my son was buing a home in Phoenix, I took us 8 months. He wanted to stay in central area (drug homes,kidnapping,illiegals) after look you had to come home and look up crime ect… when I could not get any information I call the police so he could stay away from the real bad area's. This was so sad to see so much of Phoenix that was taken over by this problem. I have lived in southern Arizona sense I was 9. I came in 1969, picked grapes, cotton and corn in hard times(I'm a white girl) but today we have to be careful just to go in the desert for a day out. Arizona's carrie guns, we have snakes now we carrie because we are being stopped on highways to steal our cars,(at gun point) and no one is helping. Our Governor has heard us finely because as you can see or other Governor had no balls. Thank you again

I think you're right. And notice that he acknowledges one of the earlier speakers was "one of his students." This is another reason I support firing every single public school teacher in America, and letting them reapply for their positions under an entirely new set of standards.

There was a research report done by some very astute people about 2 yrs ago regarding the drug cartel connection to our very own politicians in DC. I will look for it, but the theme of the paper was that it's a huge money maker for some people in this administration and the drugs are funnelled from South America through Mexico and across our borders and also to Europe.
There is more to this "closing" the border that meets the eye. We only look at the obvious story of illegals.

FINALLY, someone doing something to address what is probably the #1 issue in AZ, and something that negatively affects every sector of our lives and economy here….BUT, she also has pushed tax increases, the latest being prop 100 that we vote on on May 18th, which proposes to raise our sales tax ANOTHER 1% (putting it close to 10%)… " for the children", of course. Have to look at the whole picture, not just a snapshot on one issue.

I am starting to really like Gov. Brewer and her fortitude in standing up for her state and to the Feds. Notice that those criticizing offer NO solution to these very real problems.
