Chicago Mayor Daley Wants US Gun Makers Sued in World Court

Since the Mayor’s getting very little done in Springfield or Washington or in the courts to expand gun control, now he wants mayors in other countries like Mexico to drag American gunmakers into the World Court in the Hague.
Daley says, “We are shipping guns there by the truckload to people to kill each other. They’re not manufactured there. And we want the drugs that come from other countries that is a conduit, like a highway through Mexico, into the United States! And we sit like we have no responsibility. We should not ship any guns to Mexico.”
I asked the Mayor what legal authority there is to sue the U.S. gun industry in the World Court. He said, “Well, that’s why we have about 12 million lawyers. You never know until you try.”

I believe that those who believe in the second amendment have researched this "millions of guns going from the U.S. to Mexico" and found that most of the guns being used by the drug runners are NOT American made.

Why not put the blame where it belongs? We live in a society where no one, including Mayor Daley, is responsible for their own actions. Recently, a couple in Chicago was arrested for attacking women with baseball bats. Should we eliminate professional baseball & make baseball bats illegal? Should we eliminate golf because Tiger Woods' wife chased his SUV with a golf club? Suing gun manufacturers and bringing the National guar to the streets of Chicago won't stop the problem. Educate the kids who will become gang bangers. Teach the kids in school that they are responsible for their own actions and that there is something called right & wrong & that killing is wrong. Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley's 16-year-old son pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges stemming from a brawl at his family's vacation home in which another youth was seriously injured. Probate Judge Stuart Meek Jr. in Berrien County, Mich., sentenced Patrick Daley to six months' probation and 50 hours of public service work. I have to know how a gun manufacturer is any more at fault when someone kills someone else with a gun than a car manufacturer is at fault when someone drives drunk and kills someone. Thing is, cars kill far more people every year than guns, yet guns are actually designed to kill. What it comes down to is personal responsibility. We have laws regulating the proper use of a gun and the proper use of a car, when the laws are not followed, the INDIVIDUAL violating the laws should be held accountable, and no one else!

I think Daley should be sued for running a corrupt government! Our second amendment is a right, not to be usurped by anyone. Exactly how are guns responsible for murderous drug dealers? I have a gun. I didn't immediately become a murdering drug dealer. My thinking is that it's the fact that drugs are illegal that makes drug dealers murderers. I mean you don't see murderous Walgreen's workers.
The only solution to the issue of drug violence that actually solves drug violence without infringing upon anyone's individual rights, is to legalize the drugs. (Then the druggies can kill themselves peacefully in their own crack dens and their insanity won't be spilling into our streets. And most importantly, I get to keep my guns and don't have my rights infringed.)

First they state that the guns are the reason that people get shot. When did guns become living entities that they could control their own actions? Last time I looked all my guns sit peacefully in the gun cabinet not bothering anyone.
Second they want to sue the manufacture for the product they are producing. I maybe wrong here but if people simply stopped buying the guns the business producing them would probably stop manufacturing them, oh wait there would still be a market for those people who willing break the laws almost forgot about them.
Third they want to use the world court to over ride the Constitution of our country.
How about this for a simpler and cost effective answer. First teach all children the effects of using a gun and how to properly use a gun. Second enforce all guns laws to maximum penalty allowable by law. Third tell the people of this country that they will be held responsible for the actions and decision. And fourth follow through with previous three.
Hint….. Individuals may not own firearms in Mexico. Any US firearms shipped to Mexico can only be sold to the Mexican Government. The Mexican Government has little control over what it's officers do with their firearms, and many sell them on the black market.

Not only is this a variation on the Sumptuary Laws, but a recognition that the inferior classes cannot be beaten down and forced to stay in their "proper place" if they are as well armed as the armed retainers the superior classes control.
