Chicago Mayor Daley Wants US Gun Makers Sued in World Court

Since the Mayor’s getting very little done in Springfield or Washington or in the courts to expand gun control, now he wants mayors in other countries like Mexico to drag American gunmakers into the World Court in the Hague.
Daley says, “We are shipping guns there by the truckload to people to kill each other. They’re not manufactured there. And we want the drugs that come from other countries that is a conduit, like a highway through Mexico, into the United States! And we sit like we have no responsibility. We should not ship any guns to Mexico.”
I asked the Mayor what legal authority there is to sue the U.S. gun industry in the World Court. He said, “Well, that’s why we have about 12 million lawyers. You never know until you try.”

I believe that those who believe in the second amendment have researched this "millions of guns going from the U.S. to Mexico" and found that most of the guns being used by the drug runners are NOT American made.
Guess he was asleep when the US Government sent attack helicopters, artillery and munitions, and bradleys to the South of Mexico so that the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT could fight against the drug traffic coming INTO MEXICO…..so who do you SUE, SMART ASS Chicago retard?????

One pleasant memory of Chicago and the other Mayor Daley was the convention of 1968, I believe. Seeing Dan Rather mugged on the convention floor was a treat. Too bad, they let him live.

Why not put the blame where it belongs? We live in a society where no one, including Mayor Daley, is responsible for their own actions. Recently, a couple in Chicago was arrested for attacking women with baseball bats. Should we eliminate professional baseball & make baseball bats illegal? Should we eliminate golf because Tiger Woods' wife chased his SUV with a golf club? Suing gun manufacturers and bringing the National guar to the streets of Chicago won't stop the problem. Educate the kids who will become gang bangers. Teach the kids in school that they are responsible for their own actions and that there is something called right & wrong & that killing is wrong. Start with the root of the problem, not the result. If guns are so wrong and the city of Chicago bans them, how many politicians in Chicago own & carry handguns? Other than police officers, there is no concealed carry in Illinois, but the same people that want to take away our guns are the same ones that are protected by them. The problem with your last paragraph is that it is illegal for the citizens of Mexico to own guns. Thus, it is only the government and the criminals that have them. In other words, Mexico is a prime example of why gun bans don't work.

Seems Mayor Daley wants to do foreign relations? Every lawful export of any arms is licensed by the Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
