I've been involved with the Tea Parties since last May, and I can say proudly, without hesitation, the Tea Party people are the finest, kindest and happiest people one could hope to be associated with and I stand firmly with them.
We face a referendum on Socialism in this country and we must prevail. If America fails in this, it will signal to the rest of the world that America is no longer the beacon on the hill, and the world will slip into despotism.
There is no doubt in my mind that we shall overcome the existential challenges we face to the constitution and our way of life. God Bless you all.

The tea party movement is testament to the freedom that we enjoy in this country. And for the sake of the tea party movement, do not tie yourself to a particular political party. And refute those that choose to tie you to one. Be yourself, be great, be the true Americans that you are!

I organized a Tea Party along with a good friend of mine held last April 18th at Washington's Crossing, PA. an event that drew close to 2,000 people …it was the largest grass-roots gathering ever of its kind in Bucks County. It was the tipping point that really energized local residents…some have decided to run for office, for committee positions, speak at national events. The tea partiers in this area have held protests, rallies, and health care reform town halls, written articles, screened candidates, and more is yet to come! We went to 9/12 in DC and more is yet to come! Change is happening….the good kind…not that which the Obama administration has been persistently trying to ram down our throats.
Tea is dark in color, so I don't know why blacks are afraid of tea partiers. lol.

It is people like you and others across this country that drive the liberals batty. Especially the big government bureaucratic ones. They see the tea party as a top down movement just like all of theirs are. They cannot stand the thought that you and a friend can start something that grows from your shared concerns for this country to 2,000 plus strong who also share the same concern. Shocking to them is that you accomplished this without government assistance or a sugar daddy or sugar mama to fund it all. Imagine that. Americans concerned enough about their country to spend their own money and time on something as important as freedom!

We have events planned all over this country all year long and we are just growing and growing. Give us a Constitutional Congress, a limited government and our individual rights which do not come from the govt. Oh please…… enough of the pity party already! If you believe in Tea Party principles (the consitution) you can join one in your area. If you believe that the government's job is to provide "social justice" for things that happened many generations before you or if you have an "entitlement" mentality, then no you probably won't fit in but not because of skin color. You have the right to PURSUE happiness….. your actual success and happiness are up to you!
As a side note: I grew up in Martin Luther King era (many great words); Affirmative Action was enacted to balance things and we dealth with it. However….. Equal is Equal and there should be no discrimination or special treatment regardless. No more social justice is needed!
Evolution of the TPM is natural. We WILL find leaders of the movement. They won't be politicians. They'll be people who have the gift to speak what everyone else is thinking, and make it clear and compelling. They'll be out there, don't worry. The real important thing is… DO NOT STOP. Make this movement your social time, your social circle, your spare time, your hobby, your avocation for life.
I sincerely hope and pray that this "serpent's tooth" will be felt in our next elections.

Happy anniversary fellow TP’ers, it has been an enlightening year. We are still in our infancy, and we will surely have our growing pains. This past week though is a little troubling on one account. What gives me the most hope with this entire “movement” is we are a group of many voices. There seems to be an emphasis in stifling certain “fringe” voices out of the movement. Call them the “birthers” or the “far right wing” or whatever you want to call the latest target. Not that I am a “birther”, in my opinion President Obama is our President no matter where he was born, and we will have him in office for three more years, no matter what. But what we can’t do with this movement is stifle any voice. That is the beauty of this movement, a large group made up of many voices that will make great changes to the direction of the best country in the world. Let’s respect everyone’s 1st amendment rights. There is a reason it is the 1st amendment.

I would really like to know what you are trying to achieve, and exactly how you plan to accomplish your goals. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give. I hear smaller government, but what I would like to hear is what you propose. This is not a dig against the movement, I really would like to understand your point of view.

How a person "feels" is solely up to them. If they don't feel welcome that is no more than their perspective. "Progressives" talk about race much more than do Conservatives. Along these lines , I really enjoyed the latest videos of Andrew battling back the left at CPAC. What a way to put everything in perspective. He was able to stay tough with the insults from the left and he comes back with "We're on to you". What an excellent theme. That is so refreshing. I kind of crack up just watching him lately.

Last year when I was 27, I organized the first Tea Party (with the help of some great people) in Raleigh, NC on March 21st. It was great, about 400+ people came and it helped spawn a bigger rally that took place on April 15 of last year that coincided with the other Tax day Tea Parties. Over 10,000 people came to that one. I gave a speech at the beginning on the March 21st Tea Party and it was received well. Here is what I said:
I want to thank Americans for Prosperity for helping to plan our event for today, all the private citizens who helped, but most importantly, I want to thank all of you for coming out here today.
I am here today not as someone who is trying to embark on a political career, nor am I someone who is affiliated with any kind of political organization, but instead as someone who is deeply concerned about what has been taking place in Washington. I am not a rich person, but I do live a rich life and I can attribute that to being fortunate enough to live in the greatest country in the world.
It is obvious that no matter what our political beliefs are, we can all agree that we do not like the way Washington is spending our tax dollars. At a time when we are all cutting back, spending less, and trying to save more, Washington is spending ridiculous amounts of money. Money Washington does not have.
Here are some examples of the wasteful spending that can be found in the supposed Stimulus Plan:
5 million dollars to food distribution programs on Indian Reservations,
100 million dollars to Crime Victim Assistance
125 million dollars for Rural Drug Crime Preventions
These dollar amounts are a mere fraction of the total of the 787 billion dollar Stimulus Plan.
Now, these all may be “nice ideas”, but how are these and all the other wasteful spending projects going to stimulate the economy?
That is an easy answer. They will not.
Or
What about the mortgage bailout? Our president thinks it is a good idea to give 275 billion dollars to people, who had no businesses getting a house in the first place. Our President is rewarding bad behavior. President Obama, if you reward bad behavior, you are only going to get more of it.

Many of us have probably said to ourselves; “Where is our bailout? We have done everything the right way and we are having to pay for the mistakes of others. The good thing is, we do not want a bailout. We all subscribe to the idea of personal responsibility and we all live within our means. If something goes awry in our lives, we do not look to the government for help. Instead, we look to ourselves. This is a message that we need to start spreading because the more people we can get on board, the better for our country.
Speaking of rewarding bad behavior, we too can share a little part of the blame. We can no longer reward our elected officials, who are not putting our interest first, with the gift of office. We have to stay vigilant in our watch over our elected officials and make sure that they are doing what is best for our country and not themselves. If we do not, we will continue to get the same kind of poor representation we are getting today.
Samuel Adams once said, “It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.
Today we may be a minority, but we are going to continue having these types of rallies until we get enough people as angry and as concerned as all of us here today, and until we can find people that we can elect, who will represent us properly
I want to stress to everyone that today’s rally is not a one and done type of an event, but the start of a movement here in North Carolina.

There are many different motivations to the tea partiers, but the most important goals is for us to encourage our representatives to go back to following our founding principles. Our nation was founded on the idea of a small, limited government that would not infringe on it's citizens freedoms. We don't need politicians to solve our everyday problems. My advice to you is to go attend one for yourself. IMO, that is the only way to get a true feel of what the tea parties are all about.
