Just knowing that PETA wants to replace 'Phil' with a robot, makes me want to scream at those trolls, and tell them to get a life!! Is it really necessary for them to insinuate themselves into EVERY aspect of what goes on in this country??? Phil seems to be 'right' more often than he is 'wrong'…I wish it weren't true , but it is…:)
If they let Phil write the IPCC it would have been more reliable then the UN flunkys..

Farmers hate groundhogs because of the holes they dig in their fields that damage their plows. They're usually pretty happy to let you hunt them on their property. At least in Pennsylvania, they are.
Phils safe though, he's cool, and in Punxsutawney right now…………it's a huge party. Those people take this shit seriously.
I would just like it stated for the record that it wasn't the Right that politicized the climate. And it wasn't the Right that politicized the last bit of benign winter fun to be had until spring.
Friends at work had a Groundhog Day Party over the weekend. That also leaves me rather gobsmacked, but any reason for a party is good enough for me!

I don't think we get groundhogs in the South. Are they fit to eat? Our lower end of the food chain is usually possums, possums on the half-shell (aka armadillos) and coons. I was thinking, if groundhogs are anywhere near edible, we could help Prez Obamao fulfill his promise to increase exports by 200%- sell groundhog meat to the Chinese. They'll eat anything.

I was watching the video of Obama bowing to the Mayor of Tampa and it struck me, I have seen this before. So I did an investigation and came up with this link into the Islamic custom of bowing as a greeting.

Hmmm? Obama was raised in a Muslim tradition for many of his younger years. Because no one is willing to investigate this, we have no idea if he kept up with his Muslim heritage but it appears some "traditions" may have been kept. let's stop pretending Obama is a Christian, can we?

They're ham radio operators, truck drivers, plumbers, talk show hosts, farmers (the tilling the soil kind, I mean – frankly, I can kill plastic plants), firefighters, Ann Coulter (Hubba! Hubba!), folks who shop at WalMart (because saving money is an intelligent thing to do), people who don't pay $29.95 for a cup of triple-mocha-soy-milk-half-caff-de-caff-re-caff-turn-your-head-and-caff at Starbucks, etc. They just don't get much air time on the MSM…

i just can't imagine why PETA isn't taken more seriously. i think part of their evil plan is to be so ridiculous as to render themselves parody-proof. (maybe somebody is making up these press releases just to mess with them?)

Today global warming took another hit as Punxsutawney Phil predicted more winter weather. Even the Damn Groundhog knows the truth about global warming.
Punxsutawney Phil is smarter than Al Gore and O'bowmao put together……and much more photogenic too.
I did not know groundhogs were so big. Their fur looks perfect for a coat. I wonder why there are no groundhog coats? They could rename it something that sounds more sophisticated so people would not have to say I am wearing a groundhog.

If you're looking to reduce numbers, the worst way to go about it is to make groundhogs a tasty delicacy. Demand will cause people to breed, farm and market them.
An open letter to those Republican-bashers in the Tea Party Movement:
I wish I could tell you how many hundreds of times I've had this same conversation in the last year.
Your dissatisfaction with Republicans is misplaced to a great extent and here is why. The people you are angry with may call themselves Republicans, but they are lying to you. They are Progressives. When you blame the GOP for what the Progressives have done, you are doing the progressives work for them.
The Democrats love this and are more than willing to pile lies on top of lies in order to get you to believe some portion of them.
A prime example of this is Obama's lie that Bush left him a 1.2 trillion deficit. The whole truth of it is that 750-800 billion of that was TARP. If you will recall after the election, then POTUS-elect Obama contacted Bush and requested that he expedite TARP to ease the transition (and Bush foolishly complied). Now Obama is blaming it all on Bush, when he shares equal blame. Additionally, 500 billion of TARP remains unspent and could be used to pay down the deficit, but Obama won't do that because if he did…he would not be able to continue to make these scurrilous accusations about Bush running up the debt.
Are we learning yet?
This is why you shouldn't blame Republicans when your anger should rightfully be directed at Progressives. And did I mention that the DNC is about 90% Progressive?
Conservative Republicans (like myself) take offense when you paint them with that progressive brush. Winning this ideological war is too important for the Nation to be stabbing the few allies you have in the back.
If Algore shows up and we see his shadow it'll be a solar eclipse.
Question: We haven't seen Al Gore for quite some time – so, if he shows up somewhere today, and sees his shadow, does that mean we get 6 more weeks of STUPID?
