SOME ARE SAYING THE NY TRIAL HAS BEEN CHANGED BECAUSE HE IS LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE, DONT FALL FOR THAT, ITS BECAUSE THE CONGRESS WAS ABOUT TO CUT OFF THE FUNDING.

You make a good point –

"All I've heard is that we have judicial system system that is capable of … guarantee[ing] a conviction."

… and that our government can control the outcome of any court case despite the presence of constitutional protections if it is politically desirable that a person is found guilty.

… and that people may have their constitutional right see the evidence against them if the government decides to declare such evidence 'classified' or to deny such evidence for political reasons (such as the trial lowering poll numbers).

… and that the results (determination of guilt or innocence) of a trial by 12 of your peers is of no significance if the government decides otherwise – you can still be held without explanation even if found 'not guilty' of the charges made against you.

Somehow, I'm thinking this an attempt to destroy the perception of 'fair trial' in this country as part of the progressive's assault on the US court system. (This would be a sequal to the SOTU attack on the Supreme Court.)

Chicago is an excellent choice, the corruption of the Chicago Democrat Machine can be on display to the world. Not only will the people of the world have a chance to witness the stinking swamp of corruption that produced Obama; but the people of Chicago will have the opportunity to witness and realize the reality of Chicago corruption on a international scale.

Yes the people of Chicago deserve the risk and the stupidity of catering to the Witless Bolshevik and his inept crew.
